Crippled 192.168.1.1 page after firmware upgrade

hi,
i recently upgraded the firmware of my WRT160N V2 to 2.0.03.
but since then when i login i get a crippled page on 192.168.1.1 with not even a menu. so i cant even downgrade. is there something i can do?

It is good to know that the issue is resolved
After firmware upgrade it is always recommended to reset and reconfigure the router and I think that is why you were unable to see the menu on the setup page of your router.

The funny thing is - the notes are synced???? If I restore some old contacts they'll double up in outlook, so I think the problem is, that the sync app doesn't see the outlook contact & calendar folder.
Does somebody has an idea?

T410i SSD user and master password problem after firmware upgrade

Hello.
I have problem with my Corsair Force 3 120GB SSD. After firmware upgrade of SSD my master and user HDD passwords are no longer valid. I'm stuck on BIOS screen and cannot unlock my SSD. After firmware upgrade procedure i got BSOD. Same happened during firmware upgrade on my previous SSD (INTEL X25-M 80GB) but after restart everything was OK. Please help!
Previous firmware version: 1.3
Current firmware version: 1.3.3
SSD connected to another computer shows RAW partition data, but firmware version is 1.3.3 - seems like update was successful.

My X301 Intel x18 got bricked also after a BIOS update then secure erase (was going to sell it). I plugged it to a USB kit and onto a desktop and it was recognised and able to format. But plugging it back to the lenovo it is still a brick. My lucky star there was warranty it was replaced by lenovo.
You may want to try it and extract the data, if it works. And hopefully you can still format it and made it work pluggin back to the lenovo.

Unable to open E-business suite login page after database upgrade

I have successfully upgraded the 11i E-business suite database 10.2.0.3 to 11.1.0.7. After upgradation i have all services running on apps tier and database, but i cannot open the login page.

Realtek 8111D adapter can no longer connect at gigabit speed to WRT610N after firmware upgrade

Ever since I flashed to the newest firmware, the Realtek 8111D adapter on my Gigabyte X58 Motherboard can no longer connect at 1 gig to the router. There is a connection detected in the OS but I wasn't able to get into the config at 192.168.1.1 or use the internet. Finally, after two days of messing around, I got things to work again by limiting the network adapter to 100 MBPs. Is this most likely a bug with the firmware or is it something else? Is there any way to flash back to the original firmware?

Its not the problem with the Firmware. When you update the firmware on your router, you need to Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...After this try to see if your computer is working on 1gig speed.

SunFire ILOM no choice buttons after firmware upgrade

Hi,
after upgrading the ilom firmware to version 3.0.3.31 on SunFire 4600 M2 i have no choice buttons in the tabs Also there isnt shown any table with system information in the tabs.
The problem exist with Internet Explorer and Firefox.
Any ideas ?

Before you make any changes on your Router, Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable..
Go to website linksysbycisco.com/downloads.........insert model no of your router in serach tab......select proper version of your router........download the firmware file......save that file on desktop..
To Download TFTP utility click on Download 44.3 KB ..
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Double click the TFTP.exe file and click run.
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1... For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router's
password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple(...) button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...

BEFW11S4 constant disconnect after firmware upgrade

I was having trouble with my router losing connection every 2 hours or so . I have downloaded and installed the latest firmware and now it keeps disconnecting almost every 30 min. I have a static IP on my main pc and dhcp enabled for my xbox360. I have checked the cables if they were bad by swapping them but the problem was still there. Any help would be very much appreciated.

After a firmware upgrade, you must reset the router to factory defaults, then setup the router again from scratch. If you saved a router configuration file, DO NOT use it.
Also, please list all the static LAN IP addresses that you are using on your network.
If you are not using the default DHCP server range of 192.168.1.100 thru 192.168.1.149 , then please state your DHCP server range.
Are you running any peer-to-peer (P2P) software? If so, this is a known cause for router slow downs and disconnections. Temporarily stop using the P2P software, then reboot router, and see if this corrects your problem.
Who is your ISP? Are you on a cable system? Some cable systems monitor the MAC address of the devices connected to them, and eventually boot off any MAC address they don't recognize. If you are on a cable modem, try cloning your MAC address (done in the router), and see if this corrects the problem.

WRT610N after firmware upgrade lost connection to USB storage en Twonky media server not working

Hi,
I had firmware 1.00.00.B18 running on my WRT610N. I had successfully connected a 1.5Tb USB disk to the router and The UPnP media server (Twonky Media server 4.4) was running OK. Except that the Media Server sometimes had problems with its license key.
I read somerwhere on this forum that a firmwareupgrade would help so I installed 1.00.03.B15.
Since then the router will not see my harddisk anymore and the media server also has vanished. Access thrue http://192.168.1.1:9000/ to the Twonky server shows now "page not found".
The 1.5Tb disk is FAT32 formatted. I tried a smaller USB disk and supprisingly that one is recognized by the router. I ran several Harddisk test and repair programs on the 1.5Tb and they show no faults.
The only thing I have not yet tried is resetting the router.
Can you help?

I have followed the reset procedure but the situation stays the same.

SunRay 2FS DTUs dead after Firmware upgrade?

Hi everyone,
although I am fairly experienced in Solaris this whole Thin Client business is a bit of unchartered territory to me as of yet... following situation:
I got 2 SunRay 2FS DTUs and I have a vanilla PC setup with Solaris 10 U6 for x86. Installation was smooth except for the onboard NICs - I had to locate and manually install the appropriate drivers (skge). Installed SRSS 4.1, no problems, made a basic configuration (skge0: standard LAN, skge1: SunRay LAN with the standard 192.168.128.0/24 network). Installation told me DTUs would be firmware-upgraded after next power-cycle. Fired up the first DTU, it displayed the firmware upgrade OSDs and power-cycled - so far so good. But after the power cycle nothing happened - LED on the front is green so obviously POST is okay but the OSD constantly display status "1" (waiting for ethernet link to come up) and nothing else happens. Link lights on the NIC are on, when I send packets on the skge1 network (pings) they even flash, so I assume it's not the cables. Strangest things of all: I tried DTU 2 and the exact same sequence happened - so I am sitting here with 2 dead DTUs - any chance of reviving them? I scoured the 'net for information but I got no description that was even close to my problem...

HP Laserjet p1102w - after firmware upgrade / Smart Install update - down to 1MB free memory

Hello,
I have a Laserjet p1102w running off a laptop with Windows 7 64-bit. Just bought the printer this month.
After updating the firmware to 20120814 version and updating the SmartInstall update utility for the 20120814 version as well, I am now down to 1 MB free memory (out of 8MB originally). [Another LJ p1102w updated prior to these updates has 3MB free memory.]
Because I have 1MB free memory, the printer is almost a brick. It can print simple text based pages - however, printing any page with a graphic or a PDF file will cause the printer to take forever to receive data - essentially preventing printing a page on my new printer (while printing the same page instantaneously on my older nonupdated p1102w).
Is there any way to fix this problem, given there is no memory upgrade option? Otherwise, this printer is a brick.

Did you tried turning the printer off and on after updating the firmware? This should clear its memory, including any memory may affected during the firmware upgrade proccess .

HP 5524 Wireless does not work after firmware upgrade

HI,
I have just purchased an HP5524. After initial problems setting up the WPA key from the printer screen, I connected via USB, found the printer and swapped to wireless successfuly. I then installed the printer software on all my computers at home successfully over wireless.
The printer then needed a firmware upgrade to support eprint (?), which is successfully connected, downloaded the fireware, installed and went through the boot cycles successfully.
However, ever since wireless will not work. Before I return it to the retailer as "not fit for purpose" I thought I would ask the forum. The diagnostics downloaded a tool, which I went through, but this did not offer solutions that I had not already tried.

Thank you for posting you query,
In order to resolve the issue, please make sure the printer is placed closer to the router and uninstall the printer drivers already installed and then start the instalaltion and seelct teh connection type as wireless network. Then select use USB to configure wireless and when prompted conenct the USB cable and then select the network and enter the encryption key follow the onscreen instructions.
If the issue still persisits, please open the browser and in the address bar enter the IP address of the router and click on GO. This will take you to the router configuration page. On the router page, please click on Wireless Setup and please make sure SSID Broadcast is enabeld and the Wireless Mode is set to Mixed or 802.11 B/G/N and the Wireless Channel is set to 11 and click on Apply. Then try to connect the printer to the network by using the CD.

Wrvs4400n not stable after firmware upgrade help!!

System:
WRVS4400N wireless router
Firmware 1.1.03
IPS: 1.31
I went through LinkSys site and downloaded the new firmware and ips signature listed above. I upgraded my system a few days ago and having alot of problems with disconnection through the router. I would have to reset my wireless router every so often since the firmware upgrade. Most of the time, it would take one tries but sometime i would have to unplug and plug the router's power cable many times before having internet access. My previous firmware version i believe is 1.0.06 and it was working fine except that my MAC OS X wasn't able to connect via wireless connection. That's why i decided to proceed with the firmware upgrade. Now, the new firmware is giving me a whole new problem and unfortunely i forgot to back up my previous system's config (firmware).
I am sure this problem is not caused by my IPS or the modem because when the connections get dropped, i was able to connect directly through the modem. I am not sure if others are experiencing the same problem, but at this point, i think this is some bug on the new firmware. Please i need some solution to this. Any advice or suggestions?

There is a Recovery program for recovering from the latest firmware "upgrade" that borks the router. The latest "firmware "upgrade" completely trashed my router. I could not even connect to it from its internal IP (192.168.1.1) to attempt to downgrade the firmware. Nice of Linksys to allow people to go through an upgrade that trashes their router. Then to make matters worse, the Receovery program only works in windoze, so I had to find a windoze machine to use to downgrade the firmware. What happens if you run Linux - out of luck. Long story short, why not have some kind of warning on the firmware upgrade that unless you first do the recovery firmware flash, you can kiss you router goodbye for the time being.

Home Hub 5 VPN issues after firmware upgrade

Hi all, hope you can help...
I use Check Point SecureClient to connect to work, it connected perfectly until this morning and it It fails with a "failed to update policy" error.
Nothing else had changed, and I could connect to my VPN using my 3G MiFi, so I checked the home hub and the firmware had been upgraded to Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.204 yesterday evening.
I've spent all day on the phone and chat to BT, and the best they could offer was a call to the tech team who might charge me for fixing this!
Has anyone managed to get round this issue? Is it a known fault? Is a new router the best option, if so which can be configured with the minimum of guesswork?

WRT54G erratic connection after firmware upgrade

I upgraded my firmware last week to v8.00.6 and now our internet connection is erratic for both wired and wireless connections. We are constantly having to reload each site because the first attempt fails to connect or only partially loads (http://192.168.1.1/ also fails to connect frequently).
I've reset and rebooted the router and tweaked the MTU settings.
Any other suggestions?

Tech support had me change the MTU to 1492. So far, so good. We'll see if it lasts.
