CRM 2011 Outlook plugin corrupts emails

Hi, we have CRM 2011 server with rollup 14 installed, using CRM 2011 for Outlook plugin. One client PC's Outlook client is corrupting many emails when set to track in CRM.
I have removed CRM, removed all registry entries pertaining to CRM, repaired Office 2013, reinstalled CRM 2011, applied rollup 14, and this still happens. Every PC I configure with the account and open the email, it crashes Outlook. I have run scanPST on
the OST, run the repair requests in Exchange server 2010. I have deleted the forms cache.
When an email gets corrupted, when opened in Outlook it says "Could not install the custom actions" and then Outlook 2013 crashes. It does this in Outlook 2010 also. In OWA, it says:
"The item can't be opened because it's become corrupted. The entire error report is listed below"

There's nothing in the error report to hint that the problem is related to CRM. The error report contains references to voting data. Does the problem email have voting buttons enabled on it? In Outlook 2013, when you create a new email message there is
a Options tab with a feature called Use Voting Buttons. Perhaps this feature has a problem on its own, or when voting emails are tracked in CRM?

    Hi,
The error seems to be security related. Check Append and Append To permission for Activity.
    Hope this helps.

  • CRM 2011 Outlook Client not showing all columns in Opportunity Views

    Versions:
    CRM: 2011 On-Premise - 5.0.9688.1533
    Outlook: 2010 Professional - 14.0.6122.5000 32bit
    CRM Client for Outlook: 5.0.9690.1992
    Basic Problem
The Outlook Client views that show up in Opportunities do not have all the columns that are in the view.
Some of the views do, but not all of them.
    Example:
    View Name: Won Opportunities
Columns in view: Created on, Location, Quote Type, Scope of Work, Quote Number, Booked Sale Date.....8 other
    columns (many custom columns)
Columns in View in Outlook: Icon, Quote Number, Categories, Flag....thats all.
    Other Notes
This only happens in the Opportunity section of the Outlook Client.
This does not happen in advanced find in Outlook or anywhere in the web client. This does not happen for any other entity.
This happens on all of our users Outlook clients.
I have tried recreating the view.
No error messages are recording in any logs that I can find.
Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it?
    Thank you
    Paul

    1. Are you sure this is a System View and not a User Defined View? Can you take a screenshot of all the availalbe Outlook views when you click on the little down arrow to add a new view? Yes.  See the screen shot at the bottom.  It is a public
    view.
    2. What happens when you close the view and add it back?  same results.
    3. What happens when you restart Outlook? I ask because if you customized your System Views, those are only persistent for a given session. If your restart Outlook, then it should reset the View.  we have tried that.  and uninstalled Outlook client
and reinstalled.  And uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled.  Same results.  The only view that works for opportunities is the Default Custom View.  The strange thing is that the filters are working just fine. just not the columns.
    4. A workaround - have you tried creating a new System View similar to the one you want? Yes.  same results

    Thx for response Daniel.
Attachements are stored directly in CRM DB (in Annotation table).
I have also tried fiddler. And it looks response was OK (200). I think its problem with CRM for outlook client.

  • CRM 2015 Outlook Plugin and SCCM 2012

    Good Morning!
In need of some assistance from you more experienced SCCM admins. Let me quickly run down the steps of what I've done:
    1) Created a network share for CRM 2015 that everyone can see
    2) Ran the EXE from Microsoft and followed the instructions from them to create the CrmClient_32.msi
    3) In SCCM, created a new application, and linked the shared folder. SCCM auto-populated the install command, publisher data, etc. The only thing I added was "/s" for the MSI package to install
    4) Created a Device Collection with one test PC that already has CRM 2013 installed
    5) Deployed the application to the device collection with the following options:
    Under Content Tab:
    Content Location: \\networkshare\Installs\CRM2015
Persist content in the client cache is NOT checked
Allow clients to share content with other clients on the same subnet IS checked
Deployment options: Do not download content
    Under the Programs Tab:
    Installation program: msiexec /i /s "CrmClient_32.msi"
    Installation start in: blank
    Uninstall program: msiexec /x
Run installation and uninstall program as 32-bit process on 64-bit clients IS checked
    Under User Experience Tab:
    Installation Behavior: Install for system
Logon requirement: Whether or not a user is logged on
Installation program "margin-bottom:9px;padding-right:0px;padding-font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;font-size:14px;line-height:21px;word-wrap:break-word;color:#333333;">Maximum allowed run time ( 120 minutes)
    Estimated installation time (0 minutes)
    6) I schedule the install (for most applications I've seen this works best)
Now when I go to Monitoring, all I see is the deployment is "In Progress" and the category is "Waiting for content"
I'm frustrated because I don't understand why this won't work. It seems so painless and the method I've described above works for almost any other application I've pushed out.
I'm all ears - is there anything you see that isn't correct? Any ideas or suggestions? If you've successfully pushed out CRM 2015 some how (even if it's not through SCCM), could you please share your solution?
    Thank you so much! -Nick

  • CRM 2011 outlook client with Outlook 2013

    Hello,
I have a user that keeps getting a message saying "This operation is not supported until the entire message is downloaded.  Download the message and try again"  This happens when he tries to attach a document in SharePoint through mail merge.
I have tried the rollup updates, uninstall/reinstall and gave him a reloaded Surface Pro running 8.1 but the problem persists sporadically.

The error meas that you currently only have downloaded the message header. Check your send/receive settings to make sure you always directly download full items.
Send/Recieve > Send/Receive Groups > Define Send/Receive Groups > select the certain group name and click "Edit" > check the "download complete item" options is setting ok
If so, wait for the message to be downloaded completely and then retry that.

  • IPhone4 syncing with MacPro microsoft Office mac 2011 Outlook

I'm unable to get my new i Phone 4 to sync with my Mac Book Pro using "Microsoft Office Mac 2011", "Outlook" for my email, calendar, contacts & tasks. Can someone help me?

I am having the same issues as you are and I spent about an hour on the phone with Microsoft Office yesterday and they told me that they are still working on a program to resolve this issue. It would have been nice if Apple did not authorize this product until all features where available.
I have many entries in my outlook calendar to transfer it all to ical, as well, i run a business so i do not want meeting invites coming from my mobile.me account - does not look professional. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue until Microsoft comes out with an update for calendars?

  • CRM 2011: Sending Email through Outlook first

We have never used Email through CRM. Is it possible to send an email through Outlook first then to CRM? Also wanting to make sure it is linked to the Account, when sent.

Emails created in CRM are sent using the outgoing email method specified on the account of the user creating the email. Only one outgoing method can be set for a user, the methods are to use the CRM client for Outlook or the Email Router (later versions
of CRM also have Server-side synchronization but that is not available for CRM 2011).
An email created in CRM can only be sent via one of the outgoing methods. Regardless of how it is sent, the email will be stored in CRM and linked to the record it was regarded to.
Can you provide more detail on your question?

You need to change page size in order to see the on button. try Ctrl+0

Thanks Faisal for your reply. I tried Ctrl+0 (zero) but no difference. I think Ctrl+0 is for clearing the zoom in/out effect in web pages. While this tool is a windows (desktop) application.
Please note that I have taken the snap (attached in original post) after maximizing the

The version of the Plugin Registration Tool is 6.1.1.1143 64bit. If you can check your Plugin Registration Tool version and post the snapshot as well?

  • CRM 2011 - Exporting a view in 2011 Outlook Client

Using CRM 2011 on - premise with 2011 outlook client RU17
For a few custom entities exporting the default view to excel within Outlook Client results in a generic error pop up.
With tracing on I see the following error:
System.Web.HttpUnhandledException: Microsoft Dynamics CRM has experienced an error. Reference number for administrators or support: #0086DABC: System.Web.HttpUnhandledException (0x80004005): Exception of type 'System.Web.HttpUnhandledException' was thrown.
---> Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: Number of link entities in query exceeded maximum limit.
The same view exports to Excel with no issues via IE.
I have seen references to this error but nothing that has helped or pointed out a difference to look at between the Outlook Client versus IE.
    Regards
    Robert

if this is machine specific and Outlook Client related then I would start with ensuring the machine has all the latest Office and OS updates not just the latest security patch but all the latest updates.  You'll also want to ensure there are no other
add-ins causing a conflict in Outlook, virus protection is not causing an issue, the machine has sufficient memory, etc.  Basically ensure the machine has been optimized for the Outlook Client.

  • Can CRM 2011 email router process digitally signed emails?

    Hi there,
Please can you tell em is the CRM 2011 email router is able to process digitally signed emails, as our just seems to ignore them.
Its annoying as you can track the email manually, but not through the email router at the moment.
    Many thanks

  • Plugin reference library to ms crm 2011/2013/2015.

Plugin reference library to ms crm 2011/2013/2015.
    Eg:like for jscript http://garethtuckercrm.com/2011/03/16/jscript-reference-for-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2011/
    Please help me

    Hi,
These functions are not present in any library. You create a utility file to store such commonly used function and make sure it is included as first script file on the form. OR you can use the library functions from codeplex
    site like following:

    Hope this helps.

  • Ironport Outlook Plugin Reply Encrypted Email

I would like to clarify whether Ironport Outlook plugins can (with flag mode) reply a "reply-message" originated from external CRES user.
    Here is a situation:-
    1. Corp User A compose an encrypted email to external user B
    2. External user B receive this encrypted message and external user B open the HTML file with his/her CRES credentail
    3. External user B reply same message via CRES cloud service
    4. Corp User A receive the "reply-message" originated from external user B in outlook program
Please advise whether Corp User A can reply this "reply-message" or not with flap mode.

Ok thank you.  Wasn't sure because prior to the plugin we just used words or tags in the subject, which obviously did not require a password to send an encrypted e-mail.  Therefore we were confused because we thought a password was required only to read an encrypted e-mail, not send one.

Thanks!  But seriously why have Apple disabled the info sync on iTunes?  By 'Upgrading' to Mavericks I've inadvertantly disabled my Apple mobile devices from fulfilling their function.  Come on Apple work with us here!!
Apple told developers they were removing that service over two years ago. The developers that depended upon it should have done something about it.
Why did they remove it? My guess is because it was pretty crappy, was difficult to maintain, and wasn't a good solution for multiple devices that could get the info without tethering to a "base" Mac.
