CRM 5.0 - IC WebClient - ERP "Plant" to CRM Business Partner

Hi Gurus
We need to Download ERP "Plant" into CRM as a Business Partner with an External Number Range, using the Plant number as the "External" Number.
Is there any documentation out there to assist with this?

  • How to link a plant to a business partner?

    Hi,
How to link a plant to a business partner? I mean, how to create a relationship between a back end Plant and a business partner in SRM?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
When you replicate plants from back end by running the report BBP_LOCATIONS_GET_ALL  using the transaction SA38 the replicated plants can be seen in BBP_LOCMAP table in SRM.
Once replicated the plants will have BP number and Org ID assigned by the SRM system. No need to assign BP number to the plants manually.
Hope this makes you clear. Clarifications are welcome.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • Converting an ERP customer to a Business Partner

We are looking to activate Business Partners for Collections and Credit Management.
We have set the config up to map the standard customer account group to the relevant BP's for Collections and Credit Management.
When we run the MDS cockpit it seems to fail, does not create a job and the customers are not in BP.
Reading through the notes it seems that the Function Module needs to be activated in BUPA_CALL_FU.
Does anyone know the correct Function Module settings to activate this?
Has anyone done something similar and can help out?

    Hi,
I'm working on the same. I've done the configuration and I'm able to run the job but after the job finishes, system creates no business partner.
We are running collection management and FI-AR in the same system so I think no need to do ALE configuration.
If you have solved the problem please guide me how to do that because there is no clear cut documentation available even from SAP.

  • ERP Orders in CRM

    Hello everybody,
I discover in CRM the possibility of creating ERP Orders in CRM in the webclient. I like it because it works well and the WBS element appears. I don't know why CRM allows creating ERP Orders when you can create a CRM order and replicate it to ERP.
My answer is, what consequences will i have using an ERP order in CRM?? could I do reports on erp orders in crm??
    thanks in advanced!

    Ana,
The whole concept is a relatively new functionality first partially introduced in CRM 2007 and further refined in CRM 7.0.
The whole idea is that in order to create an order CRM you have to re-write all your ABAP ERP pricing exits, into java pricing exits on the CRM side.  This issue alone is costly and expensive and causes a lot of customers not to want to use CRM.  In addition all your SD user exits must be re-written on the CRM side in CRM for the order to process correctly in CRM before replication to ERP.
To alleviate this problem, the ERP sales order concept was created so you could still take advantage of CRM functionality while created an order, etc, but not have to rebuild your whole order entry process.  It still has limitations, but provides an alternative for customers who don't want to re-do VA01 completely in CRM.
As far as consequences well you probably need to checkout the OKP for CRM 7.0 to get more details.
    Take care,
    Stephen

  • Replication of ERP-Orders: Business Partner (Carrier) is not specified

    ERP 2005 / CRM 2007
Sales Documents (orders) are replicated from SAP ERP to SAP CRM 2007 with the following error message in CRMD_ORDER: 'Business Partner (Carrier) is not specified'. 'No Business partner was entered for partner function Carrier.'

    Hello André,
This simply means that in CRM in your partner determination procedure, that is linked to your transaction type, the partner function 'Carrier' is listed as obligatory (actually the minimum occurence is set to at least 1, thus meaning obligatory/required). If you edit your partner determination procedure and look for the Carrier partner function in it, set the 'Minimum occurence' to blank (no value). After this the partner function is no longer obligatory/required and the error message will no longer appear for all transaction types that use that partner determination procedure.
Of course, it could be that you really need this partner function but then you have to check your customizing settings is R/3 and make the corresponding mapping of partner roles (R/3) and partner functions in CRM.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards,
    Joost

  • Business Partner Replication from CRM to R/3

    Hello friends,
I am not able to replicate BP from CRM to R/3. When i create a business partner i see bdoc
in SMW01 with status in yellow colour and there is no error description. If i try to debug
the replication in foreground, i can see all the entries which i entered in CRM done in R/3,
but it stops at the Customer attribute screen(Additiona fields as seen in Extras in the task
bar) and doesnot goes further, even if i enter something it remains in the same state. As
per me the customer attribute field in not mandatory in R/3, i dint found the settings for
it in SPRO but logically if R/3 system allows me to save the customer without entering the
attributes then my thinking should be right.
Kindly give me some pointers to resolve this or please let me know the check points,
prerequisites for replication of customers from CRM to R/3.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Yogesh

    Hi Yogesh,
Check the R/3 transaction OB20, Double clidk on "Create Customer (Centrally) "
Here we maintain the options for all the field e.g required / optional etc..
    <b>Reward points if it helps!!</b>
    Best regards,
    Vikash.

  • Migrate business partner data to CRM sytem

    Dear all,
We're introducing a new CRM system in which we want to maintain the business partner information. One topic of this project is to migrate (export) all relevant business partner information from IS-U to the new system. My question now is if SAP has any standard solutions for exporting master data to e.g. an csv file?
    Thanks in advance,
    Georg

    Hi Ivor,
Thanks for the suggestion. Though the output here doesn't encorporate all information we need. We are switching to a Microsoft solution (dynamicx AX2012) for maintaining the business partner. So we need to extract all business partner master data (general, addresses, contacts and roles) from IS-U. I know SAP has standard tools for importing such as EMIGALL or LSMW but I haven't found it for exporting.

  • CRM 4.0 IC webclient to CRM 2007

    Hi
Currently we are on CRM 4.0 using IC Webclient for our call centre. Around 30% of development done in BOL layer programming to suit the business requirements.
Now we are planning to upgrade to CRM 7.0 with IC Webclient
Can anybody help us in providing information and precautionary measures to be considered for upgrade.
    Regards
    Satish Kumar

    Hi,
just wanted to stress that even than BOL/ genIL is still compatible it has been significantly increased especially around the advanced and saved searches and some more new features like a generic "text-for-key" support service to facilitate UI development.
The biggest change however that you might experience in the BOL layer is, however, the complete BOL support of all CRM objects including all sub objects, relations and attributes. So the enhancements that you have done in your 4.0 project might not even be necessary anymore unless you've introduced completely new objects. Also fields you added via EEW will be available in the respective BOL objects without manual code effort.
On the UI layer itself you have to be aware that even though the whole CRM 2007 UI is based on the same UI framework as CRM 4.0 IC WebClient, this framweork has been significantly enhanced and supports now also concepts as components (to organize, structure and manage different areas of the CRM application), reuse via components and windows etc. Also there are two new sets of tags: THTMLB (Low level UI controls such as input fields, tables and trees) and CHTMLB. The latter one contains eta tags for configuable views that allow the adjustment of views via the configuration tool, which allows defining fields and arrangement on a form or a table as well as re-labelling.
Also the toolset in general has been heavily enhanced and there's also the concept of modification-free enhancements on the UI layer based on inheritance.
The upgrade will be "technical" meaning that all your stuff will survive but due to the componentization of the UI framework will not run out of the box in the new environment. You will have to "re-do" investments you've done on the UI side - however this should be much easier compared to 4.0 due to configurability of the UI and the improved toolset.
I hope this information helps to get an idea what you can expect.

  • ERP-CRM-Integration based on business partner concept in ERP

    Hi all,
can someone give me a hint if and how I can integrate the ERP business partner with CRM (we are using CRM7.0) business partner. Actually I have done ERP-CRM-Integration very often before but in former times clients were always using the customer and/or vendor master which was up and downloaded to CRM business partner. In my actual case the customer is using in ERP (ECC6.0 EHP4) also the business partner concept (groupings, roles, etc.). Since pide mapping is based on customer or vedor master (account groups, classification, etc.) and I do not find any documentation I am not sure if and how I can exchange BPs and if it is possible what I have to do for it.
Maybe I can use the object BUPA_MAIN, etc... but how is the logic, is it a prerequisite that groupings are  identical, but what about number ranges, etc???
As you see I do not have a clou. Please advise.
    Thanks a lot

  • Delivering Plant In CRM Order

    Hi,
I need SAP CRM Field delivering plant.
Does Anyone know how I can get this field from sales order CRMD_BUS000115.
I need it for a condition pricing.
    Thank you
    Lidisaid

    Dear friend,
I had lots of problem with PLANTs in CRM because the only information about that it is stored in the table CRMM_LOCMAP (access with SM30 ). If the table is empty you need to download object DNL_PLANT.
In this table there is only a BP id in CRM that represent the Plant, and their ids in ECC or R/3 system.
In this subject CRM behaving different, because in ECC or R/3 there is a specific place to store Plants details, for CRM plants are Business Partners.
In the sales document CRM fill at the partner procedure a partner type Plant with the BP id that represent the Plant, and then, through the middleware this information arrive in ECC or R/3, and in the back end system all necessary processing for Plant happening. The execution to transform a BP in CRM in the Plant in ECC system the moust part it is hard code in the middleware, so it is impossible to change this behaving.
In my previous project I sent a message to SAP support complaning about the different behaving and information about Plant in CRM and ECC system, and SAP answered me that, for SAP vision, Plant it is not relevant for CRM process (front end).
So, if you need to create a new condition based on Plant information, in CRM could be impossible.
In my case, the solution was, sales order that needed information about Plant I create in CRM through BOR conection, so in fact, the order was create in ECC system with a link in CRM.
    Good luck,
    Lalas

  • Can a report in ERP called from CRM system using RFCs??

    Hi All,
Please let me know if this is possible, if so , how?
Can a report in ERP called from CRM system using RFCs??
    Thanks
    Siva

Yes, you should make an RFC function in ERP and inside the
function you can call the report with a SUBMIT. Then in CRM you can call the RFC function...

  • ERP plant number for SRM business partner

    Hello,
how is it possible to replicate plants from ERP to SRM by using an external number range?
Example: Plant 0100 in ERP should be Business Partner 0100 in SRM
We have the issue that the replicated plants get new IDs from the internal business partner number range.
In Customizing we defined a corresponding number range set to external. A new grouping is set up linked to the number range object.
    Thanks for help
    Regards Trevor

    Hi everybody,
I closed this thread. In SAP SRM 7.0 there is no possibility to take over the plant numbers from ERP as Business Partner numbers. This would be an approvement for future EHPs of SRM.
We solved our issue by showing also the ERP Plant number in the Shopping Cart from Table BBP_LOCMAP. But this is an enhancement.

    Trevor
