CRM 7.0 EHP1 and FINBASIS

We are currently running CRM7.0 with NW7.01 dual stack with these components:

Now, we'd like to move to CRM 7.0 EHP1 which includes NW7.02
When I log in to the maintenance optimizer to pull down the entire list of patches, I'm also prompted to install a completely new component called FINBASIS. Now I'm familiar with this component from the ECC6.0 side, but never from CRM.
I'm wondering if I must install this or if optional when I move to CRM 7.0 EHP1.
Does anyone have any experience with what I am describing?

I found the master guide and it states this:
Finbasis for CRM
Finbasis for CRM is a optional SAP add-on that can be either installed on top of either SAP ERP or SAP CRM. This add-on includes the Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) applications SAP Dispute Management and Collections Management, which extend the SAP ERP Financials capabilities.
These applications add extra functionality to the Shared Service Center business scenario available with the SAP CRM Interaction Center. To use these applications, you may simply deploy this software unit on top of your SAP CRM system, without having to upgrade your SAP ERP system to EHP5.
So since we already have an ECC system that is moving to EHP5, I don't think we'll add this component to CRM.

Error in AET in SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1

Hi All ,
I have created new table using AET in SAP CRM ehp1 and it has created new z-component and z-table succusfully.
When I opened the component and view and i noticed it has been created two context nodes.
One is Parent and another is z-context and here Parent context node is not refering any base entity.But while creating the new data base table I selected ORDERADM_I as parent object.
PARENT context node base entity is initial and Implementation Class CL_BSP_WD_CONTEXT_NODE .
ZATAB000013 context node Base Entity is ZAEXT_BOL_OBJ000002 .
Beacuase of this parent context I am getting dump "Parent context node is initial".

Hi,
I am not sure what steps you habe taken for the AET table view creation.
If you open any sales order and then open an item, you come to item's overview page.
If your requirement was to add a custom table based assignment block on this-item overview page then steps for creation are :
1) Start the config tool from UI and select the Items header view
2) use Display Enahncement button
3) Select NEW on table enhancement
4) create the table enhancement by defining the fields and their properties
5) Once done and clicked on save and generate, then this creates the table view in the component you defined in AXTSYS.
6) AET automatically adds this table view as assignment block on Sales Order Item overview page - where from we began the AET.
7) Then you just have to go to the BT115I_SLSO and select overview page, go to view config tool and pull the AET generated view into displayed block. Save the config and do client copy if your test client is different than customizing client.
That is all. PARENT is MUST because your AET table create a dependant Z bol object with a Z relation to BTADMINI in this case.
The care is taken by AET to bind the BTADMINI to PARENT through component usage on item component controller.
One must understand the requirement given, think about the design and then go for creating the AET. Just running the wizard without understanding what i want and what i am doing is a wrong practice.
You will get a dump if you run the component standalone because obviously PARENT is initial. Who is supplying entity to Parent ? No One and so its initial.
Do you see the Zcomoment/zview in Sales order item compoent's overview page ? it should be there if you have created the AET in the steps i gave.
Did you start AET from sales order header-General data view or sale order item-General data view ?
Incase you do not see your AET created component and view on overview page view config, then you have to create component usage of your AET component and add the view to your overview page. Plus code in WD_USAGE_INITIALIZE method of sale order item component and bind BTADMINI of component controller to PARENT node.
Thus you will not get the PARENT initial and hence no dump.

Pricing in SAP CRM 7.0 Ehp1

Hi Experts,
I have some doubts in the SAP CRM 7.0 EHP1 pricing.
1.is IPC part of sap crm or any other third party tool ?
2. How to find the IPC user exit in the sap crm system.
3. ERP (R/3 version is 3.1)is the backend system and already they implemented the pricing conditionS in SD. I know we can dodwnload the pricing conditions from ERP to SD Using midldleware.after downloading the pricing condition where i have to write the code?
4. JAVA knowledge is required or not for writing the Pricing conditions.(I know only basic java coding and good in abap )

SAP BW 3.5 Upgrade to Netweaver 7 with SEM-BW and FINBASIS

Hi,
We are currently planning the upgrade of our SAP Business Warehouse 3.5 environment to Netweaver 7.0 EHP2 SPS6. However our BW 3.5 environment also has FINBASIS 300 and SEM-BW 400.
SAP Note 852448 discusses the requirements for upgrade FINBASIS and SEM-BW to a Netweaver 7.00 environment, but does not mention anything about enhancement pack 2 SPS6 for NW 7.
Can we upgrade from:
BW 3.5 / FINBASIS 300 / SEM-BW 400
to
NW 7.0 EHP2 SPS6 / FINBASIS 600 / SEM-BW 600
or are restricted to only upgrading to:
NW 7.00 (no enhancement packs) / FINBASIS 600 / SEM-BW 600
If we can apply the NW EHP2 SPS6 files, then are there associated FINBASIS and SEM-BW EHP/SPS files we need to be aware of?

Hi Kevin,
I confirmed with SAP Development Support (Germany) that we CAN NOT remove the SEM-BW and FINBASIS components during the upgrade.
As EHP5 is not available yet for the SEM-BW / FINBASIS components that leaves you with the only option to upgrade to BI 7.01 (EHP1). You can't use the maintenance optermiser to determine the files you need so you will have to go old-school and download the add-on components, and support packs to bind-in manually.
I did this about two weeks ago with no problems at all. The upgrade was extremely easy, once you had all the correct add-on components and support packs downloaded and extracted into EPS/in. Just run PREPARE a few times if your concerned with what you have downloaded, but I had a consistent queue with very little effort.

Mapping of CRM Territory Hierarchy data and BI Territory Hierarchy data

Hello friends,
I Want to know the easy way to compare the CRM Territory Hierarchy data and BI Territory Hierarchy data . Previously We had an issue with Territory Hierarchy data and applied note on CRM side and it resolved. Now we want to see whether the Territory Hierarchy data is sync in between BI and CRM.
Please let me know if you have an idea what is the solution if both systems are out of SYNC.

Download CRM Contact into Outlook and Create vcard in Outlook.

Is it possible to Download a CRM Contact into Outlook and Create vcard in Outlook? I can't seem to find a way to even download the contacts full details.

You can use PIM Sync to download your contact from CRM On Demand to Outlook or you can export your contacts from CRM On Demand and then import them into Outlook. However, I do not believe this will create a vcard.

Versions: SEM-BW and FINBASIS

Hi all,
We are installing the current version of SEM on our BI server (version 7). There are two versions for the 2 components available:
SEM-BW 600 and FINBASIS 600
SEM-BW 602 and FINBASIS 602
We have seen support packs for the 600 version but none till now for 602. We have also referred to some notes, but they are not clear on the direction, whether 600 will be developed or 602. Not clear on what needs to be installed?? On the R/3 side we are on 46C.
A quick response would be helpful.

Hello Neeraj. The 602 releases should I believe be referring to the SEM 6.0, Enhancement Package II release which is currently in rampup. SEM 6.0 (SEM 600) is the generally available release but would not include the new functionality delivered with enhancement package II.
In accordance with SAP's release strategy for SAP ERP 6.0 new targeted functional enhancements are now delivered via enhancement packages, as opposed to major new releases. Enhancement Package II for SEM 6.0 does contain significant enhancements to SEM-BCS.

CRM Application Server Java and Portal components on same Java stack

Hi Team,
We are currently performing solution design and want some information on CRM install.
Want to know if there is any restriction for installing CRM Application Server Java and Portal components on same Java stack(With same SID). Also want to know if SAP WEB UIF 7.0 can work similar to that of Portal for CRM applications?

Do You have any servlets or filters defined using annotations? Maybe one of these servlets/filters catches the '/login' request first. I have very similar solution and it works fine. Also, how do You check that the servlet under '/login' url pattern isn't invoked?

SEM and FINBASIS on NTW04s

We installed NTW04s ABAP with Java Add-in (EP, EP core and BI usage types).
We would like to install on the Abap instance the SEM and FINBASIS components, but we are not able to find them.
Where I can find these components and which is the release supported for NTW04s Sp13 ?

Version is 600. SAP has released 602, but this is in development with hardly any patches available, so would advise 600.
The installation is a part of nw 04s install.

How to use ale/idocs in sap crm to transfer master and transactional data

hi all,
I am working on sap crm7.0 ehp1. I want to transfer my master and transactional data from crm development system to crm quality system here through idocs. I am aware of basic ale settings and successfully transfe the ztable data through idocs. But i am not able to find any proper step by step procedure for maste and transactional data in sap crm. Also sap ecc tcode NACE is not available here.

In CRM, Exchange Interface (XIF) ALE/IDOC is available to transfer master and transaction data. You can go through the following link for set up.
Basic Data exchange set up for ALE IDocs - Wiki - SCN Wiki
You can extend the standard XIF IDOCs using Transaction BDFg as well.

Upgrade of CRM 5.0 abap and java

Hi,
I have to upgrade CRM 5.0 to CRM 7.0 with EhP1. In my system landscape, CRM 5.0 ABAP (CRA) and CRM 5.0 Java (CRJ) are installed on different servers. CRJ is a portal available for end user for which CRA is acting as backend server and database. I have experienced that when we install CRM 7.0, installer automatically creates 2 seperate instances each for abap and java. I am not able to presume what exactly will happen in this kind of upgrade. My doubts are:
1. Will this upgrade CRA (abap) and CRJ (java) seperately on different server? and i connect them as i am doing currently (CRA being the UME for CRJ)?
2. While upgrading CRA, upgrade tool will ask the path of CRJ and both the instance will be upgraded simultaneously. And CRJ will behave as web ui instance after upgrade.
3. CRA will be upgraded and a new instance for WebUI will be created (let us call it CRW) and i will connect CRW with CRJ for all practical purposes? where CRJ will act as portal for CRW.

Yes. You need to upgrade both the servers separately. You need not to reconnect it as both the systems are already connected with each other.

No, new instance will be created. You need to upgrade CRA and CRJ separately. WEBUI will be automatically upgraded.

Crm upgrade with EHP1 inclusion

Hi All,
We are upgrading CRM 2007 to CRM 7. Both CRM Abap and Java stacks are installed seperately on different servers.
I have following questions:
1) Can we inculde/ combine the CRM upgrade with CRM EHP1 upgrade? How big would be the time effort involved if we go ahead with CRM EHP1?
2) Any tentative timelines it takes to upgrade an Abap+Java system. This would really help us in efficiently planning the entire exercise.

RFC connection error between Netweaver 7 EHP1 and Ides ECC6

Hi Friends,
I try to create source system in BI from Netwever EHP1 to IDES ECC6 EHP3.
During the creation I get a connection error, says. check connction parameter.
I checked the parameter, everything is fine. Server, System and number.
When I went to the SM59 and created a connction.
I.E. with the same parameter like system = 06 and server = compi9 gave client 800 etc.
The Host name is resolved to 192.168.2.111 wich is OK.
But when I run the connection test it shows me "ERROR: partner '80.156.86.78:sapgw06' not reached"
I have no idea where this IP '80.156.86.78" is comming from.
No Problem with the opposite way, from Ides to NW and login to the System is OK too.
Can anybody help me with this problem.

Hi,
What is the next screen that comes up when you click on remote logon.
If no screen comes up then:
Check the user type of the user id used for this RFC.
It should be either dialog or service user for able to remote login.
If it open a new window and asks for password, then its excatly password issue.
Also make sure that the password is in numeric and correct.
Also make sure that the current user check box is unchecked.
Even if it dosent work, delete the connection and create again.
