CRM 7.0 IPC installation folder

Hi Experts,
We are facing the problem in CRM 7.0 here.
Firstly, our CRM is integrated with ECC6.0, and the pricing will be maintained in ECC only then download to CRM. In the ECC pricing procedure, standard routines and 900 customized routine is used which can't transport to CRM. As demonstrated in SAP help, also not all standard ECC routine is available in CRM, we need to check the mapping in file "CRMStandardExits.java.txt" in the subdirectory "lib\userexits" of the IPC installation.
For my understanding is for CRM 7.0, IPC is already installed, and it will be activated via the VMC activation. But I can't find any file or folder in our CRM server regarding the IPC installation. Can any one let me know, where the folder is, or what I did wrong for install a IPC?

Hi Michelle,
the file you are referring to is outdated and is only available for IPC release 4.0 and earlier. For the new user exit concept for applying user exits on the VMC you might want to chech the user exit implementation guide attached to SAP note 809820. This guide contains also examples for custom user exit implementations.

Hi Blackman,
No separate installation is required for IPC in CRM 5.0.
In 5.0, there is very minimal basic configuration for IPC (compared to 4.0). The configuration documents are available under service marketplace.

You basically answered your own question. If you have access to another computer just go download the appropriate language and OS version of Firefox 5.0 from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html and put it on you usb drive and then go and install it onto you pc.

I've installed three times with no luck. I downloaded the Creative Cloud Packager off the licensing site: https://licensing.adobe.com. I unpacked and choose my applications. The install seemed to be successful, but I don't so any of the applications anywhere.

Creating package doesn't mean it will install the product,
You will need to install the package now. Please follow the instructions mentioned in the below articles

Changing Win 8.1 Pro Store App Installation Folder

I have a Dell Venue 8 Pro tablet with Windows 8.1. The c:\ is very limited capacity at only 24GB. With the OS only on the c:\ I just have 8.6GB of free space. So I have added a 64gb SSD to the machine and want to install all my apps on
it and not the C Drive. I know the apps get installed in c:\Program Files\WindowsApps folder so I have ROBOCOPY'd all the files to d:\Program Files\WindowsApps and created a symbolic link using mklink. It seems that new apps are install correctly
now on d:\ however the existing apps fail to open. What is the Microsoft's solution to making this happen seamlessly?

I am sorry to say the action about changing the folder location is not supported. And the APP installation folder is designed hidden by default, which means the folder should better not be modified by users.
So if we have any backups available, please consider to restore to the point before the modification, and then using Diskpart to make the C:/ drive larger. Or we might consider to
reset the PC.

E71: Duplicate/Dead Icons in Installations folder

My E71 came with the Tiger Woods PGA Tour game pre-installed, but recently the game icon began to duplicate itself... Now I am left with three PGA game icons in my installations folder and none of them works... I also tried to uninstall the game, but only one of the icons allows uninstall and that too it gives an error halfway thru, saying 'Removing Failed!'...
I've tried Nokia MIDlet restorer, but that didn't work either...
Any ideas??

Is there way to point to KM repository outside the EP installation Folder. BY default Ep gives defualt folder structure like
KM Content -> Root
under root we have many folders like
1. attachment
2. collaboration_sessions
3. discussiongroups
4. documents
Instead of built in struture , is there way to define my own repository structure which I will define in my windows system. From EP , I will point to this repositorty as starting point.
Is this possible .
or I would like go to the Ep's Built in folder .. say
"documents" ... from there instead of creating all the folder structure inside the documents folder .. I would like to create a link which will point to the my own folder strucure which is outside the Ep's default repository strcture.
Is this possible ?

You can map an already existing folder outside KM into KM by creating repository manager. If the external folder is having documents that also will be mapped.
1.Log on as an Admin user and choose System Administration @ System Configuration @ Knowledge Management @ Configuration @ Content Management @ Repository Managers.
2.To create a CM Repository Manager, choose CM Repository. You can copy (Duplicate) an existing CM Repository Manager or choose New.
3.Please see the KM Administration Guide for all properties and valid values for configuring a repository manager.Save your repository manager choose OK.
4.To ensure you repository manager has been created, go to Content Administration @ KM Content @ Repositories @ Root. You should now see your repository manager you created.

Hello everybody, good news: after upgrading to Mountain Lion 10.8.5 I've been able to run the installer and all went fine.
Mountain Lion allows user to force execution through the context-menu (CTRL-click) Open command and it does work, just that simple.
So my advice is: if you want to install or re-install Flash Builder 4.6 on a Mac with Lion installed, upgrade to Mountain Lion or better to avoid problems.
Apple introduced some (not all) Gatekeeper functionalities in 10.7.3 and following, but apparently you need a full-fledged 10.8 to have also what you need to circumvent a Revoked Certificate error.
Since usually OS X has auto updating active, if you are running Lion you end up with 10.7.5 and won't install FB46. If you manage somehow to hold 10.7.2 I suppose you should be able to install FB46, sincerely I didn't check it out. Anyway it's simpler and safer to move on to 10.8.x.

is there a way to use an SMB share for the remote installation folder whichI have to specify during the WDS configuration wizard? If I enter my SMB share I get the following error: 'The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.'
Can the remote installation folder only exist on local storage?

Error Code 0x80070005 "Windows was unable to create a required installation folder" when trying to upgrade XP to Windows

While trying to upgrade Windows XP to Windows 7 in Boot Camp after (performing a satisfactory compatibility check) the process aborted with error message "Windows was unable to create a required installation folder." Do I need to have a full version Windows 7 disk instead of the Upgrade version? Any other ideas??

Your suggestion to do Bing/Google search helped. It turns out there was interference from Boot Camp Services. I found two work-arounds that others had used that were stated to have worked. One was to temporarily delete Boot Camp Services and then reinstall it after the XP to 7 update, the other was to create a DVD of the downloaded installer files created by the updater and use the startup application from that DVD.
I had previously tried to update XP in a Parallel Virtual Machine but but XP didn't recognise the Updater disk as a DVD. That led me to try updating in BootCamp. I decided to try using Parallels again and was able to fix the device problem and update t&. I am going to keep Windows XP in the BootCamp partition as an alternate "machine". When I update to Lion I'll keep that partitition since BootCamp 4 that comes with Lion does not support XP.

Windows installer folder - Over 100GB

Hi Guys (and Girls)
We have been doing a routine check on a terminal server and have found out that it has over 100GB of files inside the windows/installer folder.
We have found the route cause to be Microsoft office failing to install updates due to a GPO setting, we have now allowed the updates to install correctly but cannot see a way of clearing all the files that are here due to the failed updates.
Can somebody help point me in the right direction ?

Hi,
You can use msizap.exe command to remove the orphaned files and folders in the Installer folder, but please note that some of your applications will not be uninstalled properly after deleting the files and you may not patch products anymore because product
registration is missing.

Change installation folder of BT cloud

not sure if you can help, but worth the question. I installed BT cloud on a computer at university when I was logged in with my user account. I can access this user account from any computer in the university or from anywhere in the world by a VM Ware internet login.
I managed to install the desktop cloud client and connect the computer, unfortunately when I log out of my account and log back in (on the same computer for example) I would have to re-install the desktop client.
I installed another software, called Mendeley Desktop. It's for referencing and I was able to install it while logged in as the same user. This tool remains in place and where ever I log in from, it would be there. So my question is if I can do something similar with the cloud.
I can see that the cloud installation folder is in the appdata from the local user. Mendeley installs onto the "H" drive - that is a server drive where we can store our files. Can I install the BT cloud into this H drive instead of to the local user? That would possibly resolve the issue.

What is the best way to move the Installer folder to another drive?

The Installer folder on an SSD with limited space has grown to 30GB. I am willing to take the risk to move this folder to another HD. I have read about moving the folder using junction on other versions of Windows. Is that still the best
approach?
