CRM- BI extraction

hi experts,
am working on Netweaver 2004s, CRM5 & BI7.0.
every day we used to do CRM - BI extraction.
now we are facing a problem.
when i click "manage" on datasource, it is asking for user id & password.
once i gave that, am able to proceed. again, after executing the infopackage, in the monitor, it is showing, zero records.
in sm59, it is showing production BI & CRM connections test ok.
kindly suggest me what to do? its very urgent & important.

Hi Jeeva,
If you are viewing the source system's datasource from BW system then it'll ask for the User ID and Password, and in the monitor if you have 0 records check the dat in RSA3 in source system. Also some of the extractors of CRM doesn't support delta mechanism.It will extract in the init. load but from delta load it'll not load due to authorization issue. EX:- 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H
No data when extracting using 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H

Request: Problem in CRM BW Extraction

I am new to CRM and I am Extracting the data from CRMC_PHASE table which contains client and phase fields. when i check the contents in the table i can see client,phase and phase description but when i develop a report in BW I can see only client and phase data but i cannot see description what should i need to do in order to extract that phases description also.I appreciate you in advance.

CRM Delta Extraction Problem

Hi,
I have my standard DS and I am able to see the data in RSA3 but when I do a delta load it is returning 0 from 0 records.
How do I enable delta for this DS (This is a CRM DS)

There might be different issues related to this like authorization etc.., Always make sure that data source is activated in BWA5.

CRM Survey Extraction to BW

Hello,
I have created a questionnaire under marketing in the survey tool in crm (crm_survey_suite tcode). Now i have activated and generated a URL for this and embeded this URL in my mail form. Also I have selected the option "Evaluation in Business Information Warehouse" in the settings of the questionnaire.
Now the user enters data by opening this questionnaire and the status says that the values are successfully saved. Everything fine till here. Now my question is what are the sequence of steps needed to bring this data into my BW system?
I went to the transaction RSA3 and tried to do an extract of 0SVY_DATA_1 object. For the application i did an F4 help and got CRM_MARKETING_SURVEY but for the F4 help of QSTNNR it does not give anything. So I entered this value manually as "ZONLINE_CUSTOMER_FEEDBACK" and clicked on extraction. This gives an error as "Errors occurred during the extraction".
Then i went to Display logs and saw the detailed error as "The extraction program does not support object 0SVY_DATA_1"
Can you please let me know if I have missed any steps in the process?
Another information is that I can see the data correct in the SVY tables in CRM.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi Amit,
The procedure is that first create the survey and then maintain the settings of the survey. After the settings are done only then you need to activate the survey, else the settings made via Ctrl+F12 will not be used. If you have already done the activation without making the settings then you will need to edit the survey save it first and make settings and reactivate the survey. This however will create a new version. Care needs to be taken in production that the data of earlier version may become unusable with the latest version because every new version will create a new URL. If you see the URL in the browser u will get an idea of the version management.

CRM survey extraction

I am trying to extract CRM survey data from a CRM 3.1 system by using a BW 3.5 system. Surveys have been created and saved. I have set the Evaluate in BW setting for the survey in CRM.
I do not get any data out when using RSA3 or by using infopackages. Is there another setting I have to set? Does the survey need to be executed before I can extract the texts and attributes?

I also met this problem.
Finally, my colleague found the solution.
To solve this problem, you activate "Evaluation in BW" first.
However, you might have no result in "0SVY_DATA_1".
I think the reason is you testing.
You might follow this control:
"Generate URL" -> "Generate URL" -> "Test URL"in dialog box.
The use of "Test URL" was problem why no data was stored in "0SVY_DATA_1".
You should copy the generated URL and paste the URL on address window of Explorer.
Then put your answer on questionnaire and save it.
Last, you can see the stored data in "0SVY_DATA_1".
Test was just "TEST".

There is no interval settings required, like there are for FI. Here's the technical description of the CRM extraction process for both Full and Delta extraction.
1) SAP BW calls the BW Adapter using the Service API.
2) BW Adapter reads the data from the source table for the DataSource.
3) Selected data is converted into the extract structure as a BDoc.
4) The BDoc type determine the BAdI that is called by the BW Adapte.
5) Data Package is transferred to SAP BW using the Service API.
Some considerations for Delta are:
1) Net changes in CRM are communicated via BDoc.
2) The flow controller for BDocs calls the BW Adapter.
3) BW Adapter checks if net change is in BDoc that's BW relevantci.
4) Non-relevant net changes are not sent to SAP BW.
5) Relevant net changes are transferred to SAP BW.
6) CRM standard DataSources use AIMD delta method.

Need help in enhancing CRM datasource /extract structure

Hello Experts,
I have come across an issue with a CRM DR phase 1 report "Program Status Management report".
The user wants to display Mobile number and Pager number of a contact person for the customer.
Contact person is a Business Partner (Mobile no, Pager no are attributes for Business partner), and the extractor which extracts communication information about a business partner is BUPA_DEF_ADDRESS_BW (from data source 0BP_DEF_ADDRESS_ATTR.)
This extractor only gets First Telephone number and Fax number from the table. The same CRM table also has the info about Mobile number and Pager number. But BUPA_DEF_ADDRESS_BW is a standard extractor.
From the searched forums, mobile number is stored in the field TEL_NUMBER from table ADR2 in which we need to filter the R3_USER = 3. We need to know how we can append/include this mobile phone/pager number fields in the extract structure since this is a standard extractor and might need to edit a BADI/FM. Please advise. Thanks!

there is no different as generic DataSource.
1. TC: RSA6, find your DataSource and click on " extend extractStructure" at the navigation bar.
2. TC: SE38 to write UserExit to populate the data for append fields.
UserExit: ZXRSAU01 if your DataSource is for Transaction Data
ZXRSAU02 if your DS is for Master Data

CRM TERRITORY_GUID extraction to BW using 0CRM_OPPT_H/0CRM_LEAD_H

Hello,
I am using the standard extractor for Opportunity and Lead header data extraction to BW. Being TERR_GUID is a standard field on both the extractor, I always overlooked this field. But recently I saw that this field is not getting populated consistently during extraction.
I did RSA3 test in CRM system, and for some transactions, TERR_GUID is populated and for some it is not. In all cases TERRITORY is maintained while creating the transaction in CRM system. Seems strange, but this is what is happening. So just trying to understand what could be the reason. Does not seems to be extractor issue, may be some issue with Territory maintainance in CRM..not sure though.
Also I found a SAP NOTE# 1017643 for similar issue, however it is not valid for our release.
Anyone faced such problem in past. Please advice.

One more thing I am observing is that.... when I use one perticular Business Partner (say 'ABC'), RSA3 extract the TERR_GUID value. But when I use business Partner 'XYZ', TERR_GUID is not extracted. Is there link between BP and TERR which is not maintained correctly?

Problem in SAP extractor for CRM - BW extraction.

Hi Gurus,
I am facing a problem loading master data for 0CRM_MKTELM (CRM Marketing Elem.). It's a Repair full load without any selection.
Its failes by saying : Job terminated in Source system.
When we cheaked in source system i.e. CRM system , we found a short dump in ST22 for the same. Which mentioned TSV_TNEW_PAGE_ALLOC_FAILED.
We tried to load the infopackage by reducing its settings of Maximum size of a data packet in kByte & Maximum number of dialog processes for sending data. It worked for few days but today it failed again for the same reduced settings.
Please suggest.

The issue with the memory allocation only... as you have tried the info-package with more selection that is the best approach... u can try putting more selection in the info-packages...
Also, see if basis can help to increase the memory parameters

Selecting desired fields from extract structure to datasource in CRM

i'm using ds 0CRM_SALES_ACT_1 in CRM to extract activities related data...
by standard this data source is not supplying some fields which i needed... but when i checked in 'roosfield' table and even in extract structure 'CRMT_BW_DS_ACTIVITY' it is showing the those fields which i required...
how can i get these fields to data source...
in LO its like...we can select required field from extract sturcture right???
is there any procedure do same with CRM data sources...

If the fields are available in ES but not available in DS , then we can Modify the table ROOSFIELD. But, I think, this is some what rude mothod.
Before doing this, It is better to Raise a OSS. They may come out with some SP upgradation.
Search this forum with ROOSFIELD.

Steps:
1) Activate the application component hierarchy (tcode RSA9). Changes made to the application component hierarchy in the CRM system can be transferred to the BW using the "Edit Application Component Hierarchy" (SBIW - Postprocessing of DataSources).
SAP Note 434886 must be implemented in CRM 3.0 before the application component hierarchy is activated.
2) Activate the Business Content DataSources (tcode RSA5).
Select/enter the application component and choose Execute (F8).
To compare the shipped and active versions, choose the 'Select Delta' pushbutton. If there is no active version of the DataSource, it is selected automatically.
To activate the shipped version, choose the 'Transfer DataSources' pushbutton.
3) Management of the versions of the BW-Adapter metadata (tcode BWA5). All DataSources are displayed that are managed by the BW Adapter.
As in transaction RSA5 (Service API Metadata Activation), the 'Select Delta' function can be used to select the inactive DataSources or compare shipped and active versions.
You can also go directly to the screen for maintaining DataSources that are managed by the BW Adapter.
The 'Compare Version' function makes a detailed comparison of the shipped and active versions.
All BW-Adapter metadata is considered when versions are compared:
