CRM - ECC -- SCM-APO
Hi Gurus,
I'm setting the gATP in SCM-APO. Everything is working fine in the ECC environment, i create my documents, they go to SCM-APO to do the ATP check (product allocation) and return with the confirmed quantity.
Now, we are testing the sales order capture from CRM, we tried to do some concurrent orders with the same data. The oder is created in CRM but it is not created in ECC. If I verify the order in CRM I can see the followin message:
"An error has occured in the system CTE-200I while copying the document"
"APO: Plng object ZAH_COMERCIAL, 010005005005010, 02, 40 0, 012, 0000 and basic method QUOTA have been lock ed (check not possible)"
Has anyone encountered this problem before?
Best Regards and thanks in advanced!

Hello Hugo,
We are facing the same issue when order replicates from CRM to R/3. R/3 generates same error which throws back to order to CRM.
Please let us know if its resolved and what was done to solve it.

[Beginner:] Incorporation of ECC, BI and SCM APO Inquiries
Hi All,
I would like to seek your help on something I am working on. We have this supplies procurement planning tool that I was helping to create. Our general objective is to create a tool that will give a forecast of supplies that people need to procure from a facility for the future months. I am under BI and I am wondering on the basics regarding BI and SCM APO data flows. Honestly, I am still clueless on this. I have seen from our systems that most loads come from APO going to BI. Is it always that way? Are data from ECC considered as well?
Hoping to hear lots of advises on this. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge to a newbie like me.Saging,
Hmmm. It seems a bit odd to be creating a 'forecasting-of-material-procurement' tool, when SAP has so many already built in, either within ERP or within APO. Oh well, I am sure there must be a good reason.
I have seen from our systems that most loads come from APO going to BI. Is it always that way?
BI type data can come from any source. The most common BI solutions I have seen is where BI data are extracted from the main ERP. However, the beauty of BI is that it doesn't care, SAP builds in functionality to get data from anywhere.
Are data from ECC considered as well?
They can be if you design it so.
You should be aware that most data existing in ERP that are relevant for material planning also usually exist in APO. The Core Interface between ERP and APO is normally set up to natively replicate substantial quantities of Master data and also transactional data. It may be that in your business environment, you really don't need to connect to anything other than APO. However, this is not a limitation of BI, it is just smart programming to try to minimize the number of sources of your data.

CRM - SCM-APO integration - TPOP
Hi all, i have TPOP (Third Party Order Processing) scenario which involves CRM and APO integration. I create a sales order and this triggers a planned purchase order in SCM APO. How do i find that planned purchase order in SCM APO?
Hi Animesh
If you do not know what the order number that was created then you can go into the product view to find the order. As you are aware this transaction is by product (also enter location and version 000). Press enter and do not press the Create Order button. This takes you into a screen where all elements for the product are shown. You will need to know what date the order was created on then you can find it. Since you are looking for planned purchase orders these should come into APO as planned requisitions in which case your order should appear with either 'PurRqs' or 'SNP: PReq' in the Category column. I believe if you double click into the order you can see all of the products.
If you do know the order number (maybe sales order is updated in CRM?) then use transaction /sapapo/rrp2.
Be sure that you are looking for purchase orders and not planned orders - the method to view them will be the same just different categories in the categories column.

What r the prerequisites for implementation scm-apo in ECC 6.
HI,
what r the prerequisites for implementation scm-apo in ECC 6.
Thanks,
Ashutosh
9891595497Hi Ashutosh,
you can find all informations about the implementation (installation /upgrade) of SCM on the SAP help portal.
In http://help.sap.com choose in "SAP Business Suite" the "SAP Supply Chain Management".
In Knowledge Center for SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) choose the required SCM release e.g. SAP SCM 5.0 and open it.
Here under "Installation, Upgrade, Master and Operation Guides" you can find all necessary information about the installation, technical upgrade and operation of SAP SCM.
The Master Guide for SAP SCM provides important information about the installation of the relevant scenarios and the components. It links to all other documents that are required for the implementation of a specific scenario, for example to the Upgrade Master Guide, which is the important overview guide for upgrading scenarios .
I hope I could help you with these informations.

Tibor -
Hi Experts,
My apology if I'm posting this on the wrong category.
I'd like to ask for SAP SCM (APO, EWM etc) if its a separate installation like with SAP ECC or it can be added as one of the components for SAP ECC?
Cheers,
R-jayHi R-Jay,
SAP SCM Applications are separate installations like SAP ECC or SAP CRM software applications .
Within SAP SCM also there are separate licensing requirements for APO, EWM, EM, SNC applications.
For SAP EWM and EM, SAP ECC add on option is available, however, the licenses for EWM, EM will be seperate than thoseof ECC.

SCM / APO forum on upgrade
Hi All,
Just to moot a proposal for new forum on SCM or APO upgrade
There are forums for ECC & CRM upgrades
For APO, we have few threads & a good wiki on newer versions
Are there no upgrades happening
Moderators & Guru's please share & enlighten
Acceval teamHi Andre,
There can be a number of transitional steps to move from SCM with liveCache to ERP/SCM on HANA. The bottom line is that liveCache becomes part of the HANA database so there is no need for a separate liveCache server. SCM on HANA is generally available now. See SAP Note 1825703. I believe the following steps are representative. You'll have to consult with your SAP representative for the exact details.
Steps -> SCM w/ LC -> SCM w/ LC and HANA -> SCM w/ HANA -> SCM on ERP w/ HANA
You don't have to go through each step. I'm not sure when the consolidated ERP/SCM on HANA will be GA.

Transfer of global settings from ECC to APO
I know there is the 'transfer of global settings' option from within transaction RSA1 in APO to transfer units of measure, fiscal year variants etc from ECC to APO, to ensure synchronisation.
How does this actually work? For example, suppose we have 14 units of measure in ECC, but already have 16 units in APO. If we run the synchronisation transaction, what will end up in APO? Is the complete table of units replaced in APO, so we would have just 14 units?
Thanks, Bob Austinthere is some explanation to what you have mentioned in Re: Factory Calendar
this talks about calendars and is relevant till SCM 4.x
I would imagine the situation would be the same for UOM
In SCM 5 you have the option to update the tables, Rebuild the tables and also a simulation option -
ECC to APO : Master Data
Hello Everyone,
In a few months, our SCM APO will be integrated with ECC and all our master data will come from ECC. What would be the best practice in maintaining master data in APO if in case the data integrated is incorrect? Based on my testing, one example would be a PPM. There were operations that should have not been sent to APO. Should I just delete the PPMs and the resources related to the incorrect operations then integrate again correctly?
Thanks.Hi,
The scenario what you are facing will be experienced by
many of the organisations.
The best practice is that before ciffing it up, one has to
do a thorough audit of all pre-requisites and accuracy of
master data maintained.
This itself will reduce the most pain areas and deltas after
ciffing.
Once after ciffing, if you still face problem, carry out the
mass consistency checks which will throughout the
areas where corrections are required. You need to sit
for more days and to identify the areas where corrections
needs to be initiated and make the corrections and then
recif it. Deletion in APO may not be the correct approach
as this will leads to more complexities and consistencies
in system

babuBabu,
We live within a dream. The आत्मन् is real, all else is Illusion. Names are illusion. If DB49 does not suit you, then call me nameless.
Before you even release the software into the test environment, you must perform unit testing. Can every transaction that is used by your company be executed? Does every userexit/enhancement still perform the same task? Does every custom report work the same? All interfaces passing the proper data?
Merely testing the software itself will not give your company any assurance that it will support your business after you go live with it, so after unit testing comes integration testing and user acceptance testing. You must interview Key business users, and from their input you must develop and execute tests for 'business processes'. For example, one common business scenario (which contains many business processes), Order to Cash: Check whether your upgraded systems supports your ability to receive and enter an order, plan the parts, obtain the RM, build the parts ship the order, and book the cash. Or, another Scenario, Procure to Pay: Check if you can plan RM parts, create/release PR, create PO, send PO to Vendor, receive PO in stock, pay invoice, close month for accounting purposes.
These are two major business scenarios in most companies that use ERP. There are hundreds more that can be tested, If you work for a company that cannot afford to have any disruption in their business, then all activities that are normally done by any business user should be tested.
On the SCM side, during an ERP update, you have a smaller task (SAP usually does a good job with backward compatibility with their own modules). BW extractors must be tested. All integration models must be tested. All userexits must be tested. Publishing results/releasing results to ERP must be tested. The list goes on and on depending upon which SCM modules you have implemented.

SCM/APO - Livecache client copies?
The basis team have been asked to do a client copy (refresh) from
production for ECC, CRM, BW & SCM. I know how to perform the client copybut am not aware of what post processing has to happen with LC(Maxdb).
Does this have to be refreshed??? Please provide location of

How to delete Master Data transferred from ECC to APO via CIF
Hi, all
I'm connecting SCM 5.1 with ECC 6.0 via CIF.
When activating Integration Model in ECC, the following error occurred;
"Location 0001 of type 1001 (BSG 592BUSGP) already exists in APO"
This is because Location 0001 was already transferred from different ECC client via CIF, and not cleared.
I'm now trying to initialise master data transferred from ECC to APO via CIF, but in vain.
I suppose I have to first delete all master data CIFed from ECC in APO, or have to execute initialisation of APO master data with ECC data in ECC.
Please tell me how to do this.
For details, please read the followings;
I connected APO client with ECC client 590.
I transferred Plant and Material Master from ECC to APO via CIF.
After that, I wanted to change ECC client from 590 to the other.
I created the other client (592) by client-copying from 590 with SAP_ALL copy profile.
I deactivated Integration Model in ECC 590, and activated the same in ECC 592.
Here, I faced the problem.
The initial data transfer failed due to the duplicate of data.
Now I'm wondering how I can initialise master data in APO and transfer initial data from ECC.
Due to testing purposes, I have to change ECC clients from one to the other this time, but I cannot initialise master data in APO and cannot tansfer initial data from different ECC client.
thanks in advance,
HozyHi all,
Thank you very much indeed for lots of your replies.
Thanks to all of your advices, I'm getting to understand what to do.
Well, I'll say I have to create one more client for testing with other ECC clients or I have to rebuild the client by client-copying from 001 and implementing all transportation requests, for marking del flags to each master data and running del programme sound like tough work, and sound like odd ..
Then, I've got next issue here.
In SCM-APO, I use BI objects, and , if I have to create several clients for testing, I have to set up clients where you can use both BI objects and CIFed master data.
I suppose I have to change 'BWMANDT' in RSADMINA and make RSA1 accessable in other SCM clients and implement tests.
Also, I have to register BI System for newly created SCM clients in RSA1-SourceSystem.
Well, if you have any experiences on this kind of use, and if you have any advice on it, please give me any tips.
Particulary, I'd appreciate very much if you give me advice on which way you have chosen; creating several clients or rebuilding the one client in SCM-APO when you use both BI objects, CIFed master data and Demand Planning.
Thanks in advance.

Client concept for SAP SCM APO and SAP TM
Hello,
We are installing SAP SCM APO 5.1 (SNP, gATP, DP) and SAP TM 7.0 (ramp up). Both connect via CIF to ECC 6.0 SP3. As far as my knowledge goes for CIF, both master data and transactional data is exchanged via CIF.
In ECC we have a three client concept:
100 customizing only
200 customizing + master data (golden client)
300 customizing + master data + transaction data
Can we use a similar model for TM and SCM APO as well? Should we then only connect ECC-300 to TM-300 and ECC300 to SCM-300 via CIF?
I have also heard that also some ECC customizing is transferred via CIF to SCM/TM. Is that true and does that change this model?
Regards,
Rob Veenman
SAP Basis.Rob,
As a general rule of thumb, for each ECC client you will probably want an SCM client. From your landscape description, it is not clear to me in which clients you perform the everyday functions of development/test/production, but I guess you have already worked that out. Without knowing exactly how you manage your environment, I will say that it is probably a good idea to have active CIF connections between each of the three pairs of clients. Once you have set up a single connection between your first pair (ECC/SCM), you will find that setting up the second and third is pretty trivial.
Yes, quite a bit of ATP configuration can be CIFd across. Typically, you do this one time, and then lock the transfer of config out (there is a config setting in SCM to stop further transfer of config). From that point forward, any config that must be parallelled in both systems is usually done manually in both systems. Notable exceptions are Factory Calendars, units of measure, and Fiscal Periods, which can be pulled across from ECC to SCM any time you want via standard program.

Issue in transfer of data from ECC to APO
Hi All,
I have a requirement of transferring data from ECC to APO. I am using EXIT_SAPLCMAT_001 fro this purpose. The problem is, I need to transfer the data of a field that is not present in cif_matloc but present in /sapapo/matloc.
How should I proceed...Please help....this is an urgent requirement
Thanks & Regards,
SriLalithaHi,
you may want to go to the transaction /SAPAPO/SNP_SFT_PROF
Determine Forecast of Replenishment Lead Time
Use
In this field, you specify how the extended safety stock planning determines
the forecast of the replenishment
lead time (RLT). The following values are available:
Supply Chain
The system determines the RLT forecast using the supply chain structure by
adding the corresponding production, transportation, goods receipt, and goods
issue times. If there are alternative procurement options, the system always
takes the
longest
option into account.
Master Data
The system determines the RLT forecast from the location product master
data.
Master Data/ Supply Chain
First, the system determines the RLT forecast from the location product
master data. If no RLT forecast can be determined, the system determines the
forecast using the supply chain structure (as described under
Supply
Chain
Dependencies
You can retrieve the replenishment lead time forecast yourself by using the
GET_LEADTIME
method of the Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT.
Replenishment Lead Time in Calendar Days
Number of calendar days needed to obtain the product, including its
components, through in-house
production or external
procurement.
Use
The replenishment lead time (RLT) is used in the enhanced methods of safety
stock planning in Supply Network Planning (SNP). The goal of safety
stock planning is to comply with the specified service level, in order
to be prepared for unforeseen demand that may arise during the replenishment
lead time. The longer the RLT, the higher the planned safety stock level.
Dependencies
The field is taken into account by the system only if you have specified
master data or master data/supply chain in the RLT: Determine
Forecast field of the safety stock planning profile used.
Hope this helps.
The RLT from ECC is in MARC-WZEIT which is transferred to APO in structure /SAPAPO/MATIO field CHKHOR.
May be if you maintain the setting in the profile, you may get the value in RELDT.
Thanks. -
To load data from a cube in SCM(APO) system to a cube in BI system.
Experts,
Please let me know whether it is possible to load data from a cube in SCM(APO) system to a cube in BI system. If so explain the steps to perform.
Thanks,
MeeraHi,
Think in this way,
To load the data fro any source we need datasource Ok. You can genare Export data source for Cube in APO, then use that datasource for BW extraction, try like this. I think it will work, in my case I'm directly loading data from APO to BW using the DataSource sthat are genaraed on Planning Area.
Why you need to take data from APO cube?. Is there any condition for that?. If it is not mandatory, you can use the dame datasource and load the data to BW, if they have any conditions while loading the data from APO to APO cube, they you try check wherther it is possible in BW or not. If possible then you use DataSource and do the same calculation in BW directly.
Thanks
