  • Difference between Sales employee and Employee responsible

    Hi,
Can somebody explain the difference between sales employee and employee responsible
    Thanks in advance
    Reddy

    hello, friend.
both sales employee and employee responsible have employee numbers and fall under partner type "PE".
an Employee Responsible is a more general term and could refer to someone who is supposed to maintain documents, who may be dedicated to service a customer or a set of customers, a credit employee or a quasi-manager.  he can even be a sales employee.
a sales employee or sales personnel is more specific.  usually this refers to the salesman who has a defined set of customer accounts.  the sales employee is also specifically tracked in Sales Info System (e.g. t-code MCTI).  this position carries the SAP standard code/partner function of "VE" (in German).
    hope this helped you.
    regards.

  • Difference between CRM User and Employee

    Hello!
We are using the webclient UI and with HR integration and I am confused as to the difference between the concept of a user and an employee. Is the user the SU01 where as the employee is the HR record? How do you determine whether to assign a user/employee to a position and then to a business role?

    Tiffanie,
The concept is quite simple. All the employee of an organization constitute "Employee" of an organization. Out of the total employees only a few will be using CRM, having CRM logon access. So this employee becomes the "User".
So a CRM User should be an employee of the organization. But all Employee will not be a CRM user.
Hope this give you some clarity.

  • How to avoid the "Enter Employee Responsible" error in an Opportunity

    Hi CRM gurus,
My employer wants me to create a custom Lead Type (and an Opportunity Type) which will look just like the SAP default Lead (and Opportunity Type respectively), except that he wants a custom Partner Function called "Sales Person" instead of the two default Partner Functions "Sales Representative" and "Employee Responsible".
So, I made a copy of the PF "Employee Responsible" and named it as "Sales Person". I made a copy of the Partner Determination Procedure for both Lead and Opportunity Transactions. Deleted the PFs "Sales Representative" and "Employee Responsible", and added the PF "Sales Person". I made a copy of the Lead and Opportunity Transaction Types, and assigned the appropriate PF Determination Procedures. I got the Access Sequence and the Partner Determination Procedure right (checked it by clicking the button "Check Part. Determ. Proc"). I did all the miscelleneous minor changes that need to be done.
Now, when I create a Lead, and then create an Opportunity as a follow up document, and add a Product to this and try saving the Opportunity, I get an error message saying "Enter Employee Responsible".
It seems that the PF "Employee Responsible" is a required field in the SAP default Opportunity, but how can I avoid that in my custom Opportunity?
Even if we try to avoid this PF now, does it have any repercussions in the follow-up documents that get generated from this transaction (like Sales Quotation, Sales Order etc) or in any other way. How important is the PF "Employee Responsible", or better, what's the significance of this PF in the Opportunity transaction?
I'll appreciate any thoughts from you. I will instantly award max points for the correct answer
    Thanks,
    -Pras

    Kai,
Thanks for your response. I have mailed you the screen-shots of my configurations. I did not know how to pass this info via SDN, hence I mailed it directly to your e-mail ID in your profile. I am sorry if that's not the right way to approach for help.
    >>If you maintain an additional employee responsible, does it work then?
I have set the configuration "Only Functions Assigned to procedure" for the Permitted Functions in the Partner Determination Procedure. Hence, I do not have an additional "Employee Responsible" Partner Function in my list. This is to not permit the end-user to use other Partner Functions besides the mentioned here. The client wants to make this as simple as possible without giving too many options to the end-user (sales folks).
However, I will temporarily set this field to "All defined Partner Functions" and, enter a BP for Employee Responsible and let ytou know what I see.
Thanks a zillion for your help.
    Thanks and regards,
    -Prashanth

  • Automatic determination for Sales personnel / Employee responsible in sales

    Hi Gurus,
Help me out in automatic determination for Sales personnel / Employee responsible in sales order. I have tried in Partner determination, it is not working.
    Regards,
    sushil

    There can be few options:
Option 1: In the customer master partner determination, add the Sales Person and Employee responsible partner functions and mark them as mandatory. In the Sales Order Header Partner Determination, add the same and mark them Mandatory. Then during order processing, the relevant Sales Person and Employee responsible will flow in the order header partners
Option 2: Mainatin a Z table based on Sales Area / any other specific parameter / Sales Person & employee responsible. You can improvise the table parameters as per your business needs and requirements. Then in the order user exit MV45AFZB in form_userexit_move_field_to_VBAK you can read this z table and get the sales person and employee responsible. May be you can add these two fields in Order Header- Additioanl Data B tab and populate them thru this program.
    Hope this helps

  • Territory and partner determination procedure for employee responsible

    Hi CRM team,
I have a little issue for you I'll be very thankfull if someone could help me.
There is the organisation of the territory management in the company I'm working for:
    -Country
    -Region
    -sector
*each sector have a determination rule based on 1 condition "1 field from the BP Header (customer)"
*each sector have a position assigned to it. (Organisational model PPOMA_CRM) And there is 1 or 2 employee affected to each position..
    *When creating an activity,*
*First thing I enter the Account (customer: activity partner)*
*I would like the system to determine the employee affected to the sector of the BP as the employee responsible.*
    Any Idea?
For the moment, I'm searching in the partner determination procedure. But the standard access sequence Business Partner Relationships: Activity Partner -> User dont work.
There is some sitting from my IMG:
The partner fonction Employee Responsible is with
    *fonction category: employee
    *usage: CRM
*Relationship category: Is the employee responsible for
    Partner determination procedure:
In the acces sequence, I put a dialogue seq 15 :
    Business partner from territory
And in the detail on source, I put:
    Fonct. categ. : Employee
    Usage: CRM
    It dosn't work...
I don't know if I'm am searching in the right place.
Could you help me with a solution to have the needed system behavior????
Thanks a lot for your time and your help.
    Best regards,
    Ahmed.

    Hi Ahmed,
After created determination rules for territories have executed the report CRM_TERRMAN_PROC_REL for initial option?
Once territories and determination rules are created, you need to run the above report in Background(schedule a batch job) which will establish relationships between the territories and corresponding attributes. You need to run this report every time there is a change in determination rule of create/change territories.
    This should resolve your problem

  • Employee and Group responsible being overwitten when clicking "Change".

    Hi All,
I have searched the forums for a solution to a problem I have had but did not get the bottom of it.
I have done some debugging and managed to sort it and thought I'd share my findings with you.
    Problem:
You are in the Web interaction centre (CRM 5.0 in my case) and you navigate to a previously saved activity.
You click the "Change" button and the Employee Responsible and the Group Responsible are changed to the ones for the currently logged on user.
You want to stop this happenning. In our case we have a call centre who amend activities and we do not want the details for employee and group changing.
    Solution:
    Go to SE18.
    Open BADI CRM_IC_INBOX_BADI.
Go to an active implementation or create a new one.
    go to method DETERMINE_GROUP_RESPONSIBLE
Add the following line of code to the method:
    C_SKIP_DEFAULT_LOGIC = 'X'.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Many thanks
    Gary Hawkins

    Thank You Gary. Appreciate it.

  • Transfer of Employee responsible from CRM to ERP

    Hello,
I've replicated employees from ERP to CRM. I create a new corporate account in CRM. I assign an Employee Responsible. On the relationship, I assign a sales area and the partner function Sales Representative. I also maintain other sales area data like payment terms. I transfer the account from CRM to ERP. The Sales Representative is not transferred to the partner function PE in the customer master in ERP. Why not?
I have done the following IMG-settings:
IMG: Customer Relationship Management => Basic Functions => Partner Processing => Data Transfer => Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM
Partner function ERP    Partner function CRM
VE (PE)                 00000014 Employee Responsible (CRM)
IMG: Customer Relationship Management => Basic Functions => Partner Processing => Data Transfer => Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC
Partner function CRM    Partner function ERP    Type ERP
    00000014                VE                      PE
When I at a later stage edit the customer in VD02 in ERP, I add partner function VE manually.
When I then open the account in CRM, the sales representative added in ERP appears with the relationship "Has the Responsible Business Partner", CRMH06. I would have expected it to be "Has the Employee Responsible".
    Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
    Kind regards,
    Johan Wigert

    Hello
Presently i am working on the same scenario, where i am trying to add employee in ECC and want to have the same BP in CRM under relationship tab as Employee Responsible but i am getting the following bdoc error
BP relationship C8323A4AA5D53555E1000000A05CCCAD 496E713643771182E1000000A05CCCAF BUR011: following errors occurred
    Message no. BUPA_MW_EXCHANGE020
    Relationship IEQ0002007496 IEQHR10048702 IEQ0000000000000000 do not exist
I maintianed the said custo settings in CRM with rel cat BUR011
Note: Employee number in ECC is say.. 9999 but in CRM the same employee is replicated as HR9999,hence will this creates any problem for relationship not to replicate from ECC TO CRM.
please let me know what needs to be corrected

  • Integrate the Org structure and employees SAP HR system to CRM via ALE

    Hi All,
We want to integrate the organization structure and employees from mySAP HR system to mySAP CRM system. We are also aware that the same can be achieved through ALE Interface between both these systems.
In addition to the HR Organization Structure from HR system, can we also bring over the Sales Organization Structure from R/3 using transaction CRMC_R3_ORG_GENERATE?
    1) Can someone , please let us the possible challenges which might occur when we download HR Org structure from SAP HR to SAP CRM.?
    2) What is the implication of maintaining an HR org structure and CRM Sales Org structure within the SAP CRM 52 system?
    3) Any _precautions) should we take before doing the download via ALE??
Please get back, suitable points will be awarded.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Hi Ritvij,
Couple of things that spring to mind are:
    1) When you do the initial data load (PFAL) try to ensure that no one is amending the Org structure as Objects can be locked and therefore not transferred. (on one of our test loads the top level was locked and therfore all subsequent levels were just transfered and we didn't have a top level)
    2) Keep the 'forms of address' in CRM the same as the R/3 ones
    3) Keep the same Employee and Org Unit IDs but prefix with (for exmaple) EM and OU in CRM. (Through the HR integration config in CRM). This may also (apparantley) aid you if set up something like an Employee interaction centre in the future.
I will update when other stuff springs to mind.
    Cheers

  • Partner functions (R/3- CRM) based on employee number (KNVP-PERNR) or CP

    Hi all gurus,
I am trying to replicate an partner-function base on personnel number/employee number for customers from R/3 to CRM.
For those partner-functions only the employee number is filled in KNVP-PERNR (the KNVP-KUNN2, KNVP-LIFNR and KNVP-PARNR are empty).
If I follow the replication process I don't see the employee number getting mapped to the "bapimtcs structure" (in function module COM_BUPA_MWX_CREATE_REL) and therefore those partnerfunctions are not replicated to CRM.
(all employees are entered in HR-R/3 and downloaded to CRM as business partners)
Basically this is exatly the same situation described in the following forum:
[Replicate partner functions (R/3->CRM) base on employee number (KNVP-PERNR)  |Replicate partner functions (R/3->CRM) base on employee number (KNVP-PERNR)]
What (function modules/configuration) is necessary to get those partner-functions being replicated to CRM?
Unfortunately I was pretty unable to collect valid solution track.
    Thanks in advance,
    AndreA

    Hi Andrea,
We were able to solve the exact same issue.
Here are steps used by us to fix the issue :
    IMG Settings in CRM :
SPRO>CRM>Basic Functions>Partner Processing> Date Transfer>Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM>
    Partner Function = VE
Funciton = Employee  Responsible(00000014)   ( can be any other partner function which is a employee)
    Usage= CRM
Also make sure the following settings are also done
SPRO>CRM>Basic Functions>Partner Processing> Date Transfer-->Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC
    Funciton = Employee  Responsible(00000014)
    Partner Function Cat = Employee
    Scenario = CRM
R/3 func = VE    ( even though you are using the PE partner function in ECCwe use VE here as you know VE is the german  version of PE)
    Type = MR master record
Also make sure that SAP Notes 1020514  and 1099363 have been applied in ECC.
Let me know if you have any issues. This should fix it.
    Thanks

  • Employee responsible no longer as user

    Hello,
Recently we upgraded to a new support pack in our CRM 7.01 system.
Since then we have 2 issues:
    1. In the Agent Inbox the assigned to me query no longer works - all the tickets assigned to a certain employee responsible are not found
    2. confirmation and orders show the error:
Business partner XXX(user) is not a business partner.
--> the user name is no longer recognized as a business partner.
I think these 2 issues could be related as the user is no longer recognized as link to the BP
All our users have the role employee and are linked in the identification tab with their user and employee id (HR integration).
This all worked fine before the support pack
Anyone who is recognizing this issue? And could help?
    Thanks!
    Marjolein

    Hello Hari,
The first issue we have for all users who are employee.
Also the second issue looks like it happens for everyone.
Before the support pack, the user ID was always displayed as the name of the business partner, now the business partner number is displayed.
Also we have a mobile scenario which automatically creates the service confirmations, there the userID is still populated, but with the error that the USERID is not a business partner.

  • Action container element of employee responsible

    Hi experts,
We are using action in order to send mails, now it is working fine, the triggers is the status of our complaint.
But a new requirement is to use employee responsible as a trigger, so for instance our complaint has user X as an employee responsible and the we change the employee responsible to Y, then a mail should be sent.
So we need a container element that represents the employee responsible field, and we can not find it in the condition editor.
We need that container element so we can make the following expression:
Employee responsible = Y  then we use a condition to send the mail.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Luis,
Verify that you are using BUS2000120 as the object for this action. In the standard definition there is a BOR Object type called Person responsible under the CRM Complaint Object. You may have to open the hierarchy for this. This field can be used to satisfy your requirements. Otherwise a parameter can be created where the BUPA table is taken as an object of type ABAP class. You can choose  the BP number or name of the employee responsible as your condition.

  • Change Employee responsible

Hi we ware using SAP CRM 2005.
we have assigned the responsible employee to every customer. We now want to exchange the business partner for the relationship employee responsible.
Is there a chance to delete or restrict the validity for all existing relationships to the former employee responsible and to create a new relationship of the type employee responsible for all relevant customers? (Mass-change)
    Oliver
