What are the advantages of SAP CRM over R/3 4.6C?
We're integrating CRM into R/3. What are some best practices to follow?
What is the best way to migrate data to Ibase?
Can you provide some post-installation best practices?
What do I need to know when integrating SAP CRM with other packages?

    3. Please mention only those areas on which you have genuinely worked as your current/previous experience.  That will be really appreciated.

  • CRM FAQ Signup Thread

    Hello Everyone,
I moving the signup for building CRM Technical FAQ into this thread.  We will keep the list here until we get something more formal.  I will update thread based on your posts below. I will try to "bump" this up every week.
More than one person can assist/work on a topic.  However if there is a topic not already that you consider yourself "at least one step ahead of pack", that hasn't been taken, please consider taking that topic first.  Multiple topics are fine, let's all try to keep the content level in depth.
Once all the topics are signed up and accounted for.  We will start another discussion among the volunteers on what minimum content should be in a FAQ. This is so our FAQ becomes more than link list to SAP help content, which almost anyone can produce.
UPDATED 10/7/2005:  Thank you Tiest, Michael, Gregor, and KAL for signing up.
    Topics Available:
    Internet Sales
    Mobile Sales Middleware
    IPC
    Service Technical
    Industry Solutions
CRM ABAP (anything ABAP related that doesn't fit above)
CRM Java (anything Java related that doesn't fit above)
CRM System Administrators(tips on administering a complex CRM landscape).
    Topics Signed Up:
CRM Online Middleware - Michael Van Geet
    XIF - Michael Van Geet
Mobile Sales/Service for Handheld - Gregor Wolf
Mobile Sales Online - Gregor Wolf
    Marketing Technical - Gregor Wolf
CRM & EP Integration - KAL

    EEWB - Tiest Van Gool
Sales Technical - Tiest Van Gool

I've created a [CRM Community Project|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/CRM/CRMCommunityProjects] wiki page.
I've cut and paste the topics and the "so far" consolidators or topic owners.
This list can be edited, changed, expanded.
Each topic can generate a link where all the best forum content for that topic can be consolidated with their respective links.
I've asked for a little internal support for this effort as well, but what I can recommend is taking a look at Stephan's preliminary list and adding to it.  Multiple people can work on expanding an area (that's the beauty of the wiki).

  • Can CRM Load to Two BW Systems?

    Veterans,
Can an existing CRM Source system viably concurrently load into multiple BW (NW04s) Target productive systems?
If it can, what precautions are needed to ensure viability of delta loads?
I've reviewed landscape Note 775568 and it's caveats and viability proposals but it only refers to mainly ERP source systems.
Have also reviewed CRM FAQ Note 692195.
Need to be more certain of the CRM source system side data and associated delta ETL.
    Scenario:
    One CRM source system1
CRM system1 has already 2 delta loads into BW1 target for the same DatasourceX.
Same CRM system1 also needs those same delta load values to ETL into the proposed other BW2 target productive landscape for the same DatasourceX but maybe on a different day so it receives its own delta load1.
BW1 target should also safely be able to receive delta load3 on its next delta.
Am considering of the more complex transactional CRM datasources.
    Appreciate your help and input.
    Regards,
    Lee

    Hi Andrea,
Thanks and appreciated for your reply.
I know that multiple BW systems can be loaded from a single R/3 source instance with some conditions - it is in landscape Note 775568.
But my specific question relates to CRM source systems loading into multiple BW systems. CRM is a satellite system.
CRM data flows into ERP and BW systems via middleware so that's the reason for my posting.
Can someone else like Dennis Scoville who has answered previous CRM BW postings maybe also contribute?
All input and contributions are welcome and appreciated.
    Regards,
    Lee

    Hi,
It will be really helpful if any CRM expert can tell me the common questions asked in the interview for Org. Management, BP, Product master and Territory Management i.e. Master data.
I do not like to be suggestive at all but as I am  preparing very hard and so if someone sends me this then I can understand the proper way to learn.

  • FAQ's & Solution Search in CRM ICSS 6.0

    Hi ,
I am working on  CRM 6.O . I want to configure the FAQ & Solution search in ICSS. For this I have defined Probles, Solution and tried to compile the same in in BSP_WD_CMPWB for the component CRMCMP_SAFADM. But during compilation no data is reflecting. I had also configured the SAF.
Can anybody suggest me how to get the FAQ appear in ICSS. ?
    I had already referred the document C13 & C74.
If you have any documents related to these pls suggest..
    regards,
    Sarangamath

So, let me add the step to this that specifically is not working.  Let's add to this the fact that to the Material of Truck, there are attached Warranties and Service Contracts (Truck is part of an equipment master).  So, now I want all Red Trucks which have a Warranty expiring this month AND no Service Contract.  To further explain, the equipment master has a Type (Truck), and either a Warranty or Contract attached to it (either, both, or neither).  So I want to use the AND to identify Trucks that have no Warranty or and expiring one, AND Trucks that have no Service Contract.  I only want Trucks that meet both conditions at the same time.
In our testing, we have found that using the AND with the KEEP functionality it works in all cases EXCEPT when someone owns more than one Truck.  For example, lets say Bob owns two Trucks, one has no Warranty but a Service Contract, and the other Truck has a Warranty, but no Service Contract.  In this case, Bob should not show up in the Target Group because he does not own a Truck that has no Warranty AND no Service Contract.  However, because he shows up in the no Warranty target group for one Truck, and the no Service Contract target group for the other Truck, when you do a KEEP you get Bob in the final Target Group.  Is there any way to find just Trucks that have both no Warranty and no Service Contract?
    Thanks, Bryan

  • FAQ: User Interface Guidelines for CRM 2007 are now available

The CRM UI Concept Team has made the UI Guidelines for CRM Web Client User Interface (CRM 2007 UI) available to the BPX community:
This document provides an overview of the on-premise as well as the off-premise versions of the SAP CRM Web Client User Interface (UI). It contains the properties and principles of the SAP CRM Web Client UI that are already committed and available. For planned features, refer to the corresponding specification documents.
The information in the guidelines starts with general topics, followed by details. The sections are organized with high-level topics like Page Types and Navigation Schema first, followed by the consecutive sections describing which building blocks and elements of the UI populate the various pages. A section typically starts with one or more screenshots of a central UI element with a generic explanation. The subsequent sections explain the detailed aspects of each element.
We hope that you will find this information useful.
