CRM IDoc

Hello Every one,
I am new to this forum. I would like some information regarding CRM.
I would like to know:
What are CRM IDocs? How they differ from Idocs in SAP R/3?
What is CRM module?
How XI and Crm are related?
If anyone can provide me with web links to clarify and help me understand the above better, that will be of graet help.
Regards
Rahul.

Rahul,
CRM IDOCS only differ from R/3 IDOCS in the fact that the IDOC types are different.  In other words the underlying IDOC technology is the same, the business objects that the CRM IDOC's model, may differ from the available R/3 IDOCs.
CRM Module:
Customer Relationship Management.  Designed to handle your customer-centric activities of your business.  Sales, Marketing, Service, and E-Commerce are the primary functions of the this module.  Your best starting place for the 50,000 foot overview is www.sap.com.  I would look at the product solution briefs and join the sap.com community to look at some of the in-depth solution briefs.  You can also look at http://service.sap.com/crm for a lot more background material.
CRM and XI are related in the following:
1.  Both are products from SAP
2.  CRM is a business application based on SAP Netweaver
XI is a tool that is part of the SAP Netweaver platform
3.  XI can be used to handle integration from CRM to non-SAP systems.  Integration between CRM, R/3, and BW is handled by a module called SAP CRM Middleware.
4.  XI is a true EAI tool, CRM Middleware is a plugin module to CRM, BW, and R/3.
Hopefully that gives you some high level overview of how things are related.  You best bet for learning is to read all the overview documents on CRM that you can find on either sap.com or service.sap.com/crm.
Good Luck,
Stephen

  • CRM IDOC Segments Changing in PI mappings

    Hi All,
I had configured a scenario from CRM to PI and to SQL Table.
When ever a BP is Created or Changed an idoc with that BP is sent to PI and to SQL. I had used this IDOC(CRMXIF_PARTNER_SAVE) for mapping.
When i send BP of Person type the IDOC Segment is getting Changed and Mapping error occurs.
So please suggest me whether to use IDOC or not?
Is there any Adapter i can use for real time?
I need to get data of BP automatically.

  • CRM: IDOC Message Type: CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE_M

    Hi,
I'm currently working on a CRM data migration project. I'm using the IDOC Message Type: <b>CRMXIF_PARTNER_REL_SAVE_M</b> to map data into contact relationship structures.
The problem I am having is the above interface works with SAP standard <b>BUR001</b> type contact relationships. But a copy was taken of <b>BUR001(is contact person for) => ZUR001 (former contact person of)</b>. This allows you to add a date range: <b>DATE_TO - DATE_FROM</b>. Using the above interface I am able to map these dates to the <b>ZUR001</b> type relationships.
All the other data I try and map  i.e Function, Telephone No, Fax No ect.. will not map. I'm at a loss as to why not?
    note: running CRM 4.0
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Saquib, the OSS note was very informative.
Do you know where I can find <b>" In addition, you can find DXWB/LSMW examples under service.sap.com/CRM-Integration which you can install in a CRM system and use as models."?</b>
I've looked under the new link <b>"service.sap.com/crm-netweaver"</b>. But have been unable to find any examples.
    I've awarded points as promised.

  • MBDOCin CRM IDOC in ECC

I want to transfer my sales order details in sap crm to an IDOC in ECC to create a TC. I have the IDOC as Tradingcontract01 to which i want to post data from CRM. Could you please help me the detaied steps to do the same.

    Hi Sangameshwar,
In CRM you can have two scenarios for ERP Sales Order.
    1. ERP Sales offer and Sales order, using the CRM User Interface to create directly the ERP Sales Documents with LORD interface. The document is only saved in ERP. I believe this the scenario you are using.
    2. CRM Sales offer and Sales order, the document is saved both CRM and ERP. The documents are replicated via Middleware.
In both scenarios the interaction record should add the document in the doc. flow, it's probably a missing customizing in the interaction record.
    Hope this information help you.

  • ORDERS05 (CRM) IDOC processing issues when blocking items on the order

We're successfully loading Sales orders from IDOC type ORDERS05. There are certain checks carried out against a customer contract reference (if supplied) which could require the item in question to be blocked/rejected. I can achieve this okay, but when an item is blocked the Qty against the item is Zeroised, and I notice that the schedule line for the item also has a Zero qty, depsite a schedule line segment appearing on the IDOC with a Qty. If I don't block the item, by removing the checking code, then the qty against the item shows exactly as identified in the schedule (E1EDP05) segment.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you get around it.
I've tried duplicating the schedule for the item, thinking that just the first schedule record is zeroised, but it would seem that all scheuled lines are zeroised if the item is block, although that's not what happens if you enter an order manually.

  • How to transfer sales order idoc from R/3 to CRM

    Hi,
I want to generate the sales order idoc in R/3 (ORDERS) and replicates to CRM through XIF adapter.
The sales documents are not realy existing in R/3. We can only get the information from related biling documents and try to gerenate ORDERS idoc.
The problem is how to map R/3 idoc to CRM idoc(CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M01). The administration console seems can only send the idocs but not receiving them.
    Thanks,
    Ina

    Hello Yina,
Can you please answer the questions? I am a little bit confused.
If you don't have the order in R/3, are you not going to create one when creating the ORDERS IDoc? If yes, then this order will go to CRM automatically if you have the middleware set properly.
If you are NOT creating any order in R/3 during the IDoc step, Why would you want the order in CRM when you don't have it in R/3?
Are you not going to keep the middleware between R/3 and CRM open? If you keep it open, the order from CRM will crossover to R/3 - in which case you could have created the order in R/3 in the first step itself !!!
If you are not keeping the middleware open between R/3 and CRM - I don't know why would you want to keep the orders in CRM, but not in R/3. Is it because of lack of good CRM consultants in the project?

  • HTTP 500 Error while using XML HTTP Port for idoc

    Hi,
I am trying to send CRM idocs via XML Http instead of usual t-rfc.
After standard idoc - pi configs i get the below error.
transferring the IDoc by HTTP, the return code with the message '500Error during parsing of SOAP header' has occurred.
In BD87 I get the below error.
    The target address was: http://yyyyyy.XXX.local:800X/sap/xi/engine?type=entry
I get the http 500 error as:-
Check whether the IDoc can be sent again.
It is unfortunately not possible to determine automatically whether the IDoc has in fact arrived in the target system and the error occurred afterwards
Any idea on how to trouble shoot or resolve this.

  • Open Catalog Interface (OCI) - Is CRM/ISA ready to be an External Catalog?

I have found much information here and on help.sap.com talking about how to set up an external catalog to be part of our catalog(s). But, there is a severe lack of information to educate myself as to whether our catalog(s) are ready to be added as an external catalog to our customer's SRM system for example.
The only valuable information I have been able to find on how to be sure that our CRM/ISA Partnershop can be used by our business partners in their various (SRM) procurement systems is here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/73/fd147fcaaf41489508aaac8e3e37b5/frameset.htm
We have a specific request that our CRM/ISA Partnershop be made available via our business partner's SRM system.  I can find no guide to help me provide the requested information without basically just guessing on my part.
This is what they provided as a worksheet to return.
I assume the following or would like additional input:
    1)  They will need a Userid and Password.
    2)  For Language, we currently only support EN.  Would I enter EN or just leave blank?
    3)  What do the following refer to?  (These are the fields as requested and their suggested value by our customer)
      ~OKCODE       ADDI
      ~TARGET       _top
      ~FORCETARGET       YES
      ~CALLER       CTLG
      HOOK_URL       (Assumed to be blank)
    4)  These are the required OCI fields they would be expecting from the our catalog, but they can accept all OCI Release 4.0 fields...Assuming the connections from the above settings are made properly, will CRM automatically provide the approrpriate detail or do I need to set something somewhere?  All the XCM/DCM config settings for OCI seem to deal with an incoming External Catalog, not outgoing.
    OCI fields
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY[1]' value='3'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION[1]' value='Descriptio'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-UNIT[1]' value='DZN'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-PRICE[1]' value='1.62'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-LEADTIME[1]' value='5'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY[1]' value='USD'>
    <input type='hidden' name='NEW_ITEM-MATGROUP[1]' value='44121704'>
    5)  Do I need to 'do' anything not listed above to be sure our catalog(s) are ready to perform as requested?
    Thanks for any clarification/links, etc
I've spent weeks off and on now to try to determine an answer I could feel confident in.

1/25/07 - Found a bit more info, but still need help determining if there are any additional settings/configs we need to make before starting to test with our Business Partner.

I did these steps already, but have not tested yet:
Customizing and Settings in CRM / Internet Sales
Settings for receiving purchase orders in CRM
Purchase order without reference to a quotation:
In the CRM Business Connector, an XML purchase order is received via HTTP and it is converted into a sales order IDOC. This IDOC is then transferred to CRM and is posted there.
The delivered mapping service expects a purchase order in the OLD_EBP XML format, which is transformed into a NEW EBP XML, xCBL and finally a CRM IDOC XML.
The following settings must be made in CRM:
    · Creating a partner profile for the sender
    Path in SAP Menu
    Tools -> Business Communication -> IDoc-Basis -> Administration -> Partner profile.
    Partner type: Customer
Partner number: Number of the sold-to party in CRM
Transaction code: APLI (Individual IDoc processing)
    Message type: CRMXIF_ORDER_SAVE_M
    (key fields of table EDPP1:
    -PARNUM partner number
    -PARTYP partner type)
    ·         To view CRM address management errors in the document, the parameter CRM_USER_LEVEL must be set to value 9.
    Path in SAP Menu
System -> User profile -> Own data -> Parameters.
I have asked my Basis contact to look into this portion:
    Business Connector
Install a Business Connector 4.0 or higher.
    Required packages:
    · Sap_crm
    · Sap_crm_customizing
    · XSLT (only for BC 4.0, not required for BC 4.6)
After processing the purchase order that was received first, an inactive routing rule is created that is completed and activated.
    Path in BC
BC Manager -> Adapters -> Routing -> Edit.
    Transport: ALE (R/3 IDoc)
    SAP Destination:
The ports must be activated and the service EbpXmlToRfc must be accessible before the Business Connector can receive documents.
Some CRM settings are hard coded in the transformations. They are in the file BasicOrderSettings.xsl, that are in the directory ...ServerpackagesSap_crmxsltincludesxcbl2sapcrm_xif.
    These are:
    Transaction type: TA (standard order)
Item object type: BUS2000131(sales item CRM)
Text ID under which the order text is created in the CRM order: 1000 (customer note)
Make sure that all of the available Business Connector patches are installed.
Our customer contact says they went with WebMethod instead of Business Connector, but I'm hoping we can make it work using BC without having to research yet another piece of the puzzle.
Any additional detail/advice from anyone that's set up their Partnershop to be connected to SRM EBP via OCI?

  • ABAP proxy - XI - IDOC

    Hi,
I built a new interface: ECC ABAP proxy - XI - CRM IDOC and tested it in DEV systems(ECC, XI, CRM) - it works well. I transport it to QA systems(ECC, XI, CRM). Everything  seems OK, but when I do Proxy test from ECC QA system, I don't see message in XI QA. I receive - Services Processed Without Error
This ECC QA client was copied from ECC PROD client.
What definition I have to check in ECC QA system?
    Thank you, Natalia.

    Hi,
to see where your message is going,
    execute the transaction SXMB_ADM,
select Integrtion Engine Configuration and check the RFC details.
The role of business system should be application system
and below that you have the RFC destination for integration system.
Just check if this RFC destination is pointing to XI QA.
I think this solves your problem.

    Hi
in our scenario we have idocs being posted from xi to crm.
But the idoc numbers are different in xi and crm.
    Is there any way to:
Search for a particular idoc in crm and its corresponding idoc in xi.
i mean suppose 123xxx is an idoc in crm that was posted from xi then corresponding idoc of 123xxx in XI .
    Thanks in Advance.
    Helpful answers would be rewarded.
    Thanks,

    Hi Juvvadi,
i will explain the process which i use for searching XI IDOC number for R3 IDOC number.
In R3 system,go to EDIDS DB table, restrict selection with IDOC number(CRM) and status 50 and get TID.
In XI,execute Tcode-IDX5, give TID and Created On Date,Execute.Extended Functionality(****F1),Select all then IDOC Tracking(ShiftF4). Then it gives XI IDOC number and related CRM IDOC number.

  • Sales data are not integrated in R/3

    Hello
I use BTE DE_BALE on R/3 to integrate data coming from CRM extension (EEWB). Everythig's fine in the customer FM in R/3 : I get the extension data and I add to table CT_IDOC_DATA segment E1KNVVM with these data, but they are not updated in R/3.
