  • Read field value from another page

    Hallo,
    I have PAGE1.HTM (with MVC) with 2 input fields (country and state). For field STATE there´s a F4-button which calls PAGE2.HTM (page with logic) and in order to display the correct information for states I need to get the value in field country.
    I cannot send the value from page1.htm because the code is client-side for F4 (specially if it changes) and I cannot use
    var = document.getElementById("country");
    in page2.htm because it´s Javascript code inside ABAP code, which is not allowed (I think).
    Does somebody have an idea on how to collect that value or if I can use Javascript code in the event OnInitialization ??
    Thanks a lot

    Hi,
    that´s something I do when the content of the view is created and works Ok. The values of that content come from the data bank. The problem is when the user enters a new value and does not saves it !! in this case, the new value is not transmited to PAGE2.HTM because now we´re on client side.
    This is the code that creates the input field:
          tag_if  = cl_htmlb_inputfield=>factory( id = s_id
                                                 value = fieldname
                                                 visible = isvisible
                                                 disabled = isdisabled
                                                 isappendunit = 'True'
                                                 showhelp = dfies-f4availabl
                                                 dovalidate = 'TRUE'
                                                 onvaluehelp = openf4code ).
    and as far as I know, input field supports no event.

    Hi,
    For this requirement, you will need to retrieve all the lists objects you want firstly, then execute the requests one by one to get the value of the Title column using CAML or
    LINQ.

  • How to pass field value from popup window to oninput processing of other pg

    Hi,
    I want to pass a field value from the popup window to oninput processing of main page ( from where popup window is triggered). and need to close the popup window. How to do it ?
    In the popup window's oninputprocessing, im doing some validation checks. If it passes all the validations, then only the control shd come to main page ..else it should stay in popup window only .
    Regards,
    Jothi.

    Hi Jothi,
    you can use java script to pass the value and close your popup window. use the following code.
    in your popup window:
    function passData(h1)
             window.opener.document.getElementById('var1').value = h1 ;
             window.close();
    then call this function when you finish your validations.
    in your main page layout create an input field with id as passed in the function above "var1".
    In the value attribute give it your variable as follow:
    <htmlb:inputField id      = "var1"
                              value   = "<%= var2 %>"
                              visible = "false" />
    "var2" will be assigned the value from your popup window.
    I hope this will help you..

  • How to get the Output File Name as One of the Field Value From Payload

    Hi All,
    I want to get the Output file name as one of the Field value from payload.
    Example:
    Source XML
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <ns0:MT_TEST xmlns:ns0="http://sample.com">
    - <Header>
      <NAME>Bopanna</NAME>
      </Header>
      </ns0:MT_TEST>
    I want to get the Output file name as " Bopanna.xml"
    Please suggest me on this.
    Regards
    Bopanna

    Hi,
    There are couple of links already available for this. Just for info see the below details,
    The Output file name could be used from the field value of payload. For this you need to use the UDF DynamicFile name with below code,
    //       Description: Function to create dynamic Filename
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" , "FileName");
    conf.put(key,a);
    return "";
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File" , "FileName");
    conf.put(key,a);
    return "";
    With this udf map it with the MessageType as
    (File Name field from Payload) > DynamicFileConfiguration>MTReceiver

  • I want to send a value from JSP file to another JSP file without..

    I want to send a value from one.JSP file to another two.JSP file without to show the content HTML of the one.JSP in two.JSP (with include), only take the values processed in a Bean :
    ===================
    Bean
    package pck;
    import java.io.*;
    public class yyyy {
         public String getXxx() {
              return cccc;
    ========================
    one.JSP
    <jsp:useBean id="idBean" class="pck.yyyy" scope="??"/>
    <%idBean.setXxx(ccc);%>
    ========================
    two.JSP
    <%@ include file="one.jsp"%>
    <%=idBean.getXxx()%>
    but without to show the content HTML of one.JSP in two.JSP.
    Can someone help me?, please.

    Why don't just put the common code in a separate file and include it in both. i.e. the code that is in one.jsp that is needed by two.jsp could be put in a common file and included in both pages, thus the HTML is separated off. If this will not work, set a boolean value in two.jsp that can be used by one.jsp to decide if the HTML should be displayed or not.

    Thank you for the detailed feedback.
    I want the fields ID_TYPE & ID_TYPE_DESCRIPTION from IUICMD/SearchAccount to be available in IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created a context node u201CSEARCHu201D in view IUICMD/DetailAccount. I have created the context node with out choosing u201CCreate with Instanceu201D.  This Context node (SEARCH) is already available in IUICMD/SearchAccount as part of the standard.
    Below given is contents of the Method CREATE_SEARCH of my context class ZL_IUICMD_DETAILACCOUNT_CTXT of view IUICMD/DetailAccount, which is created by the Wizard during enhancement.

  • Passing field value from appoinment into task

    Hi,
    I need to pass the field values from appointment into the task. I was able to pass values from one record type to another but in this case as both appointment and task belong to the same record type namely activity and they are having the same foreign key namely ActivityId.
    So any one please tell me , is it possible to pass values from appointment in to the task or not ?
    If so how?
    Thanks,

    Write a workflow and select the field you want to copy the value into in the Field Name and the value you want to copy in value field, you don't need to use joinfieldValue at all.

    Hi,
    If you look at the Java Doc for the entrySet method here http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15357_01/coh.360/e15725/com/tangosol/util/QueryMap.html#entrySet_com_tangosol_util_Filter_ you will see that it returns a Set of Map.Entry instances so you need to do this...
    Set setResults = cache.entrySet(createFilter("homeAddress.state = 'MA'"));
    for (Iterator iter = setResults.iterator(); iter.hasNext(); )
        Map.Entry entry = iter.next();
        Contact c=(Contact)entry.getValue();
        System.out.println ("firstame####=" + c.getFirstName());

  • To find a field value from a table

    i want to get some field value from a data dictionary table.
    for eg Tragr from Mara. in Fields list it shows the field is in Mara table. but in content screen it does not showing the field at all. Actually of 220 fields of mara table only 99 fields are shown. how to view all the fields of a particular field. is there any setting is there.

    Hi Deva,
    When we execute any table by default SAP will display only few columns.(90 i guess) If we want to view all the columns of the table then do like this after executing the table i.e in ur table output.
    Menupath->Settings->User parameters->choose radiobotton
    Grid display Here u can see all the fields.
    If u don't want to see all the fields then do like this.
    Settings->listformat->Choosefields->Deselectall->Select what
    ever fields u want using the search button in bottom and press enter. It will display only selected fields.
    Some times we will come up with strange situations.
    EG: In the field list some field will be there. But if u select that field from that table in select query it will give u syntax error saying field xxx does't exist in table yyy. This field is nothing but text table field. If u want to select this field then u have to select it from the text table. U can find the text table exist for some table or not in
    Menupath->goto->text table. (In this case makt is text table for mara)
    Just check below code for ur reference.
    DATA: wa_mara TYPE  mara.
    SELECT SINGLE * INTO wa_mara FROM MARA .
    Here if u go to mara table u have field MAKTX But above select will not return the field maktx even we are refering wa_mara to data base table mara. We have to explicitly select it from MAKT.
    Hope this clarified all ur doubts.
    Thanks,
    Vinod.

  • Syndication and printing using CRM Product Master/product catalog

    Hi,
          I would like to understand if we could do syndication and printing  using CRM Product Master/product catalog.
    thanks
    anantharam

    Out of the box, you have a feature to export the Product Catalog - as an XML. Rest of the nice features you want are not available out of the box.
    If printing and syndication are primary and important features you want to have, then you must explore if [SAP SRM MDM Catalog|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srmmdm10/helpdata/en/44/ec6f42f6e341aae10000000a114a6b/frameset.htm] will be suitable for you. Kindly let me know where i am going wrong. MaterialNumber field is a TEXT not a lookup table field.  Above fields are from the main table.
    Thanks,

    Hi Friends,
    I got the solution. It was the error because of not having a the below statement.
    limitingCommand.setPageSize(1);
    As i havent used that statement, it was trying to get 1000 records, and i dont know exactly what makes this to get that error. Anyhow., As i want to use for updation, i cn live with one record.
    Thanks,
    Raags
