CRM Lead to Opportunity

Hello CRMers
The requirement is as follows, when a lead is created it has to be received by the sales representative automatically (via workflow)
How do I acheive this im CRM ? Please help me as the requirement is quite urgent.

We have workflow in CRM called WS10001011 which is used for this purpose
Do the following
ath is CRM  Basic Functions  SAP Business Workflow  Perform Task-specific Customizing
Choose application component abbrev. CRM-BTX-LEA
Choose Activate event linking (if not activated already).
On the Event Linkage: Triggering Event screen expand workflow 10001011
Activate the events
Choose Assign Agents.
Assign the sales rep to the Tasks TS  and WS 10001011 by positioning your cursor on the relevant task and choosing Create agent assignment.
Select Object Type User and press Continue.
Select the sales rep SALES_REP using the dialog box and then choose Generate.
The sales employees are now assigned to the chosen task.

    Hi guys,
    I think that the object of tread is explicative
    But i explain my problem: when i save a lead, with a certain status (yet customized), i want to the system create with follow up document an opportunity from my lead.
    If i create a lead without product the system create an opportunity very well, but if i insert a product on my lead the systema don't create an opportunity, i see that in activity tab the event raise up but the opportunity is not create.
    i have cusomized the action for process type and for category of item but it doesn't work.
    Anybody can help me?

    Check:
    1. if you have set proper copy control between lead and opportunity transaction type under spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>copy control for business transactions>Define Copying Control for Transaction Types (you may wana try first without checkmark "Complete reference")
    2. if you have set proper copy control for ITEMS between lead and opportunity ITEM types under spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>copy control for business transactions>Define Copying Control for Item Categories (first set checkmark just for "Copy PO data")
    3. if you have set any copy control for ITEMS between lead and opportunity ITEM types under spro>crm>transactions>basic settings>copy control for business transactions>Define Item Category Determination when Copying (I suggest you first try without setting any entries in this customazing for your item types)
    4. what method are you using for follow-up (I ussualy use COPY_DOCUMENT method)

    I am using BB guide to customize Lead. Completed all the steps mentioned in the BB guide to start the standard workflow WS10001011 but getting following error while testing it. Pl guide how to resolve this issue?

    I have completed following procedure to activate this workflow as mentioned in BB guide, pl guide if something more is required
    Process of WS10001011
    The workflow Create Opportunity from Lead is started when a lead is saved with qualification level Hot and status Error-free. The system uses the lead-specific attributes Priority and Lead Group to check whether an opportunity can be automatically created, or a sales employee first needs to decide. If the sales employee decides that an opportunity can be created, the lead status is set to Accepted by Sales, and an opportunity is created in the background.
    If necessary, this is forwarded to the sales employee to check. If the sales employee rejects the lead, the lead status is set to "rejected by sales", and the initiator is informed by mail.
    The workflow is ended if no opportunity is created and
    o     the lead is deleted or
    o     the qualification level of the lead is changed to a value other than Hot or
    o     the status of the lead is changed to a value other than Error-free.
    Procedure
    1.     Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
    Transaction code     OOCU
    SAP CRM IMG menu     CRM &#61614; Basic Functions &#61614; SAP Business Workflow &#61664; Perform Task-specific Customizing
    2.     Choose application component abbrev. CRM-BTX-LEA
    3.     Choose Activate event linking (if not activated already).
    4.     On the Event Linkage: Triggering Event screen expand workflow 10001011
    5.     Activate the events CRM Lead Attribute Changed and CRM Lead SetErrorFree.
    6.     Choose Assign Agents.
    7.     Assign the sales rep to the Tasks TS 10008152 and TS 10008153 and WS 10001011 by positioning your cursor on the relevant task and choosing Create agent assignment.
    8.     Select Object Type User and press Continue.
    9.     Select the sales rep SALES_REP using the dialog box and then choose Generate.
    10.     The sales employees are now assigned to the chosen task.
    11.     Repeat this procedure for the 2nd and 3rd task as well.

    Hi,
    Second alternative of using workflow would be better to convert Lead into Opportunity , once LEAD is HOT and Error free.
    This workflow is standard functionality offered by SAP for requirement of converting LEAD into Opportunity.

  • Lead to Opportunity

    Dear Friends,
    I would like to trigger a opportunity from a lead if the status of the lead become " WON"
    Is there any standard Action provided by SAP where i can use it in lead and trigger it automatically.
    Is there any work flow from Lead to Opportunity which does not use actions and based on the events which are triggered based on user status.
    How do i go about this requirement

    Thanks for your reply and the help.
    I have removed the action type and definition and created it again.
    &CRM Lead.User Status& = E0003CRMLEAD (CRMLEAD is the Status profile used for the lead transaction type)
    is it Right?
    But at the time of creating the lead the system gives an error "The necessary processing parameter PROCESS_TYPE is missing" and the action looks Red In color.
    I checked the parameter maintained in transaction - Crmc_action_def
    Structure - CRMD_ORDERADM_H
    Field - PROCESS_TYPE
    the initial value is ZOPT.
    and the properties ( import & mandatory) tick mark.
    I feel i have done some error in parameter definition only.
    While defining T.code ( CRMC ACTION CONF) start Conditions what should I configure at the parameter?
    I have done this
    Object type - BO Object Type
    BUS2000108                       CRM Lead
    (Properties- Import and Mandatory ) Tick.
    Could you please check whether i have defined the correct conditions and kindly revert if there are any changes required.
    Does the BADI COPY_DOCUMENT requires an English Language as i have changed the same and it is showing as language German?

  • Lead to Opportunity workflow

    Hi Guys,
    We have new CRM online system. I have created a custom lead type by copying the Lead transaction type. When I create a lead and assign status "hot" & priority "very high" isnt it supposed to create an opportunity automatically? Or atleast it should send a workflow to the sales rep to manually create an opportunity. None of that is happening. Am I missing any settings for this?

    I know this is too late. I seacrhed forum as I need some more details on this.
    The standard workflow WS10001011  for Lead to Opportunity creation should be activated for this. Please refer to the link below

    i am working on stand alone CRM 5.0. the standard workflow  WS10001011 (Lead to Opportunity) does not have complete workflow definition , it has only the event start, it does not have other steps in the workflow  .is there any sap Notes or batches which address this issue.

  • Authorization Issue in Visibility of Lead  and Opportunity Documents

    I have 4 sales Org in my Project.
    When an user from Sales Org 1 is searching a lead he was able to see all the leads
    when I tried to change Lead or opportunity of other sales org with my user id, system says that "You have no authorization to execute action Change " the reason is "The authorization check for object CRM_ORD_OE has sent back the return code 12. The activity executed was Change. Return code 12:
    I understand it as the system can't find necessary authorization .  In my project they want to restrict  the document visibility to other users.  How can i restrict by which i can see only my documents.

    To see only your transactions use auth. object CRM_ORD_OP.

  • Lead to Opportunity Approach using BADI

    Hi Gurus,
    I am working on Lead to Opportunity conversion requirement based on few conditions.
    Condition 1: Lead status is HOT
    Condition 2: If Channel Partner exists in Partner tab.
    If above two conditions are met, we are triggering Opportunity from lead as followup and changing the lead status to close, lead reason to close to oppotunity.
    Is this requirement able to implement through BADI? I am thinking of using ORDER_SAVE BADI and call another BADI or BAPI to create opportunity if above two consitions are met.Is it possible to implement above functionality?

    Yes I agree with you...But using Copy Control user has to perform the opportunity creation manually...I need automatic creation of Opportunity from Lead based on few conditions.
    With Conditions...I don't think we can change the status and reason in Lead..If possible Can you explain the process?
    I am thinking of three approaches:
    1) Workflow
    2) Actions - Ruled out as per my knowledge
    3) Calling BADI or BAPI from ORDER_SAVE BADI.
    If you have any experience, plese guide me.

    As per our requirement, in the 'Sales Manager' role, under 'Sales Cycle',  we need to provide only 'Lead Management' for one set of users and 'Opportunity Management' for another set of users and both for other set of users.

    Hello Jasendu,
    The best way to implement this is to maintain a single Sales Role with all the sub catagories ('Lead Management' , 'Opportunity Management' ) and apply role filtering concept according to the users. That way you need to maintain a single Sales role. Check out the below blog for more details abour role filtering.
    Filtering Role Content by User Attributes
    Or else, you can create three different roles, one for each 'Lead Management' , 'Opportunity Management'  and other containing both of them and assign to users accoedingly.

  • Webtemplate Conversion from 3.x to 7.0 - CRM Lead Analysis

    Hello
    Basically, I need to view BI reports pertaining to CRM Lead Analysis in Web UI (i.e. viewing a BI report when one clicks on CRM report in Web UI with all the usual drill down options and graphs/charts) - for which I currently get an error like 'Error loading template 0TPLI* etc and 0TPLI are in older BW ewb template version.
    I am trying to convert the 3.x web templates to Bi 7.0 templates using migrate option under Tools in the menu. There is a master template(ICP) 0TMPL_BAP_MASTER which is being referred when trying to migrate a CRM web template 0TPLI_0MKTG_C01_Q70001_01. That master template conversion is throwing XML errors saying that unexpected <form>, <TBODY> etc. I tried deleting those error lines and continue with conversion, but it hangs for a long time going no further.
    Could any of you help me with your inputs in this regard.

    I am now able to see some BI reports in CRM Web UI, but the issue is that the reports are not seen in the client I want them to be seen. I have configured them for Client 110 (the development client and data is present in this client), but I see the reports when I login in Client 100 (master client, which has no data) and click on the links in Web UI.
    RFC exists between CRM100 to BI system and also CRM110 to BI system. Is there any setting I need to make in SPRO under UI Framework? I could see the reports there with web templates and report ID's assigned in UI framework - but I do not understand why I get an error like 'Error loading template XXX'
    Do I need to activate the web templates, queries, cubes in CRM system? Is it not enough if we do that in the standalone BI system which is connected to CRM system? I have also tried to install the content in CRM100 system (through RSA1) - but I was not able to find the web templates which I need.
    Any input on this would be of great help. Thanks.

  • CRM Fiori Apps - My Leads, My Opportunity - some fields not editable

    In CRM MyLeads and My Opportunities, display part is working fine. We are able to get the list of Opportunities and Leads. But when I try to Edit a Lead or an Opportunity, I am not able to type in anything to the "Name " field and in Leads even when I select a date it doesn't get displayed in the date field. And the "Name" field is marked mandatory as well.
    We have the below note to be applied only for SPS04 right? We have CRM EHP2 SP06. Is the problem becasue we havent applied this note??

    It seems that mandatory notes are missing. It is better you to apply the SP02 and notes.
