CRM Mass Contact Load

Hi Expert,
I have to mass load contacts into CRM and attach them to specific business partners.
What is the best way to do this?
Can ELM be used for this?

The scenario is that the account for which we have to create Contact Persons, have previous account no as well in R/3 systems. So we need a solution which can provide the option of loading the Contact with either the current SAP BP number or the Previous Account number.
It would be acceptable to have a separate process for each scenario.
Also where can we see previous account number in t-code XD03? Does this account number also exists in CRM since we have to upload contacts in CRM?
Please help in this regards.

    I want to code a program to do a mass delete of crm middleware request loads. I don't want delete all of them, just ones with certaijn prefixes. I'm able to make the program work if I do direct deletes of the tables smofrqhd and smofrqdt but, I know its a bad practice. I've tried to have the program execute function modle VIEWCLUSTER_DELETE_DEPENDENT but I am having difficulties formating the export parameter WORKAREA to where the program won't bomb. Any thoughts? should I stick to the direct table deletes?

  • BUPA_REL BDOC's from ECC to CRM  BP  Contact PersonRelationship DATES wrong

    Hello  SDN community,
    BUPA_REL BDOC's - from ECC to CRM  - BP Contact Person Relationship (BUR001)  -  Valid From & Valid To dates are not replicating correctly.
    Within ECC,
    when a Business Partner's Contact Person relationship (BUR001) is modified, such that one relationship is ended
    and the "Valid To" relationship is set to  todays date (ie. 20/01/2012).
    AND  then another Contact Person relationship is created for the BP, with a Valid From date  that is  set  to tomorrow  (ie. 21/01/2012) and
    the Valid To date is set to  31.12.9999.
    THEN  the BDOC processing occurring in CRM  is setting the relationship dates in CRM incorrectly.
    ie. The VALID FROM date is set to 01.01.01 and
    the VALID TO date is set  to 31.12.9999.
    Does anyone have any ideas/solution for this or a similar experience?

    1630644 - No validity period in standard contact person relationship
    This is SAP standard behaviour
    Due to technical reasons, the partner function assignments are not time-dependent and the validity period of the contact person relationship cannot be considered by the automatic partner determination in the CRM applications. Therefore the maintenance of the start and end for the contact person relationship in CRM is deactivated in the standard system.
    A possible workaround is to use a customer-defined relationship category (copy of standard), which can be customized without any limitations.

    Show all contacts, select the first in the list, shift-click the last in the list (this selects them all) drag to your desktop, transfer the file to the other Mac and double click it.

    No, no I am not sure why that was marked. My apologies for this. However after further investigation it seems that the device only has 128gb of ram and when too many apps are open, the memory will be locked in the other apps still running in the background.
    Since this does not continue to happen when you restart the phone, another step you can try before restarting is to touch the home button and close out other apps that are not being used in the background. [[How to switch between or quit apps]]
    Do you see an improvement when you close other apps?

  • Replicating data once again to CRM after initial load fails for few records

    My question (to put it simply):
    We performed an initial load for customers and some records error out in CRM due to invalid data in R/3. How do we get the data into CRM after fixing the errors in R/3?
    Detailed information:
    This is a follow up question to the one posted here.
    Can we turn off email validation during BP replication ?
    We are doing an initial load of customers from R/3 to CRM, and those customers with invalid email address in R/3 error out and show up in SMW01 as having an invalid email address.
    If we decide to fix the email address errors on R/3, these customers should then be replicated to CRM automatically, right? (since the deltas for customers are already active) The delta replication takes place, but, then we get this error message "Business Partner with GUID 'XXXX...' does not exist".
    We ran the program ZREPAIR_CRMKUNNR provided by SAP to clear out any inconsistent data in the intermediate tables CRMKUNNR and CRM_BUT_CUSTNO, and then tried the delta load again. It still didn't seem to go through.
    Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

    We already performed an initial load of customers from R/3 to CRM. We had 30,330 records in R/3 and 30,300 of them have come over to CRM in the initial load. The remaining 30 show BDOC errors due to invalid email address.
    I checked the delta load (R3AC4) and it is active for customers. Any changes I make for customers already in CRM come through successfully.  When I make changes to customers with an invalid email address, the delta gets triggered and data come through to CRM, and I get the BDOC error "BP with GUID XXX... does not exist"
    When I do a request load for that specific customer, it stays in "Wait" state forever in "Monitor Requests"
    No, the DIMA did not help Frederic. I did follow the same steps you had mentioned in the other thread, but it just doesn't seem to run. I am going to open an OSS message with SAP for it. I'll update the other thread.

    SAP doesn't recomment using XI for mass data migration
    and 60 Gb is certainly too much
    use LSMW for that purpose

  • Customer replication (ECC - CRM), masses of Bdocs in error

    Hello
    I recently got my hands on CRM 5.0 where replication of customers from ECC to CRM should be set up.
    There is no replication from CRM to anywhere else.
    Based on my very limited CRM experience, it seems that delta download is running ok.
    However there are hundreds of thousands Bdocs in error status and almost all of them seem to have same kind of errors: "Business partner with GUID xxx does not exit" and "Validation error occurred: Module CRM_BUPA_MAIN_VAL, Bcod type BUPA_MAIN".
    It's of course possible to track down the cause of error and process the Bdocs one by one but what about the huge mass of hundreds of thousands of Bdocs? Any suggestions / ideas for this are highly appreciated.

    Please consider the information of note 757955 regarding transaction
    CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU, you may have more entries for the events than described
    in this note. This should be the reason for the errors in the BDoc.
    This note explains the necessary customizing settings.
    Another reason might be inconsistencies, so please check the reports in notes 703322,

    Is the data provider a Buisness content object or a custom one? If it is a content one i believe it has something to do with the update rules. Might be there is some start routine which drops the records in the process. Do u have any start routines in ur Update rules? IF u have any .. just to make sure that the problem is with routines .. just comment the whole routine and try extracting ... if u get any records .. then u can confirm that it has something to do with the routines. Then u can start working on the routines. keep us posted with ur development.

    Nope, but their's a real nice external interface (XIF) present to change business partners and you can use lots of bapi's.

  • Contacts load twice to iPhone

    I read a couple similiar threads but wasn't able to resolve this...
    The last time I synced my iPhone my contacts are loaded to it twice. This is pretty annoying. Since then, I purchased a new 3GS, just set it up last night. When I set it up it did the same thing. I restored it to factory settings, and un-clicked the sync buttons on the info tab of my iPhone settings, but it's still happening, I think because it's setting up the phone with the backup of my old phone.
    How do I resolve this?

    If you are syncing contacts over the air with your MobileMe account, you don't need to select Sync Contacts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences. Doing so followed by a sync will duplicate the contacts, and deselecting Sync Contacts followed by a sync will not remove the duplicate contacts.
    You don't need to restore.
    Do the following.
    Make sure Sync Contacts is not selected under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences followed by a sync.
    On your iPhone, go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    Select your MobileMe account.
    Turn Contacts off for over the air syncing. This will erase all contacts from your iPhone that were transferred from the MobileMe "cloud" only. This will not erase the contacts that were transferred to your iPhone direct via the iTunes sync process.
    Wait a minute or two for the contacts that were transferred from the MobileMe "cloud" to be erased from your iPhone.
    Follow this by turning Contacts back on for over the air syncing with your MobileMe account on your iPhone. You will be provided a merge prompt when doing so, which you can select.
    This will get rid of the duplicates and do not select Sync Contacts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences again followed by a sync or the contacts will be duplicated.
