CRM Middleware in Material Master replication

Hi All,
Why CRM Middleware is required to replicate Material Master from ECC to SRM whereas the Vendor Master
is replicate with Transaction....could you please explain.

If your CRM system is new then you have to do the initial download of material from ECC to CRM. To do that first download the material customizing object (like category. group etc), from transaction R3AS (CRM side) then download the product/Material.
After do the initial download, activate the change pointer for the material related message type (matmas etc..)from transaction SALE (ECC). And schedule I job to run its on daily basis.

Hello,
Vendors and locations, for example, you can replicate from ECC to SRM using ABAP reports.
However, if you want to replicate the following information, you should use the middleware:
- DNL-CUST-BASIS3 - Basis CRM online
- DNL-CUST-PROD0 - Material number conversions
- DNL-CUST-PROD1 - Product : categories
- DNL_CUST_SRVMAS - Customizing: Service Master
- MATERIAL - R/3 Material Master
- SERVICE_MASTER - R/3 Service Master

Vendor master repliaction & Material Master Replication

Hi GRM Gurus,
Whether Vendor master replication & Material Master Replication is applicalbe only to
Plan driven procurement (PDP ) Scenario only (Extended Classic) (or) it is needed for Classic Scenario ?

First of all for any scenario except Stand alone. you need to replicate material and vendor master from backend system. because in SRM we dont have any master data. We purely depends on backend system.

Problem:related to material master replication from r3 to srm

hai everybody,
hai to all of u my friends....recently i have learned sap srm 5.0..and now i am practicing in my institute from starting configuration with a fresh client.everything has done successfully except replication of material master.while doing material master replications the system throws an error like" product hierarchy has not maintained" and one more error while executing smq2.. like "exception condition :guid forlogsys_changed"raised....thanks in advance

It seems that the logical system name has been renamed or changed. You need to update the config tables. Fix it using Trx BDLS.

No Material Master replication from R/3 to CRM

Hallo guys,
i've got no replication of material master, haven't tried any other object except customizing but customizing is triggered from CRM and was replicated fine. Can anybody help me how can i debug the replication process from R/3?

You first need to determine where your errors are happening?
1. Do you have blocked queues on CRM? If you see a blocked inbound/outbound queue on CRM via SMQ1 or SMQ2, then you can try to rerun the BDOC message in the queue.
2. Is there tax code customizing not downloaded correctly into CRM? This sometimes can hang up your download of materials?
3. Have you looked at SMW01 after the load to see if you have any BDOC's in error, the queues were empty?
4. What is the status of the initial load R3AM1?
I would hold off from debugging until I figure out where in the download process that I am receiving the error. Once I know that fact them I can debug a single download. You will have to set a filter on the material object to a single material and attempt an initial download. When you perform the initial download you will need all queues deregistered on the CRM side, so that you manually execute the BDOC import into CRM.
The last step will require placing a breakpoint into the validation function module for material.
I believe validation function module is: COM_PRODUCT_MAT_VALIDATE. If you have questions along the way of debugging the flow, please reply back and I will try to see if I can answer them. It has been a little while since I had to debug our middleware downloads.

Material Master replication ... ECC to CRM

I have a requirement to replicate a material master record from ECC to CRM, based upon an 'external event' (i.e. an event other than the change of the material master record itself, in ECC). The event is the change in status of a record in a z-table.
What is the best way to accomplish this? Is there a function module or BAPI that I can call, to trigger the replication of a material to CRM, whenever this event occurs? Are there other suggested / better approaches to satisfying this requirement?

CRM MIDDLEWARE QUERY FOR PRODUCT REPLICATION -URGENT

Hello All,
I am replicating the product categories(in SRM terminology) i.e. initia load of Material groups from backend(R/3) into the SRM system through the CRM Middleware.
At the r/3 side in the tcode SMQ1(Outbound Queue),i am getting the status as STOP while at SRM side(i.e. CRM middleware) in the tcode SMQ2(Inbound queue),i get the status READY.Also when I go in for the transaction of Monitoring Initial Load (R3AM1),I get the status as RUNNING.
Can anyone please tell me how much time it takes to download these objects because I had started the Initial Load for 4 Objects out of which the 1st object took 4 hrs to be downloaded!Please help.

Also I got an error in executing the report BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS_MW with the foll information text :-
The termination occurred in the ABAP program "SAPLSMSG" in "MESSAGE_STOR
The main program was "BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS_MW ".
The termination occurred in line 44 of the source code of the (Include)
program "LSMSGU02"
of the source code of program "LSMSGU02" (when calling the editor 440).
What customizatuon/configuration settings are required for this report to be executed succesfully????

Material Master Replication From SAP R/3 to SRM

Hi Gurus
For the testing, I maintain a Job for the program SMOF_DOWNLOAD on daily basis in SRM system and I created the 5 material Masters in R/3. I am facing two issues.
1. The Material Master are replicated immediately, its not working as per the job Scheduled ( I Scheduled the job on every day night at 24:00:00).
2. I am able to see the R/3 Material Masters in SRM system in tcode COMMPR01, but I am unable to use the Product IDs in SC creation, I am receiving the error message as "Product 1000056822 does not exist in plant 1560 or it has been flagged for deletion (Item Test SAP R/3 to EBOP )".
My material master is relevant to plant 1500, I change the plant 1500 in SC basic data, but the error is not disappearing.
Please suggest me.

HI,
Check if the plant is defined in the PPOMA_BBP org structure.
If you have not defined the org elements in the extended attributes tab then the system will not know in which plant the material is been created.

Material Master Replication from R/3 to CRM 7.0

Hi ,
I am trying to replicate the Material maintained in R/3 to SAP CRM 7.0. Here is, what i have done up till now...
I have downloaded
Object DNL_CUST_BASIS
Object DNL_CUST_PROD0
Object DNL_CUST_PROD1
using tcode : r3as & all have been downloaded successfully.
But when i try to download Object Material from R/3 to CRM using the same tcode, its giving me an error saying
004 : Hierarchy for material types does not exist
005 : MATERIAL: Object will not be loaded
Right now i am able to see the categories & hierarchies in tcode COMM_HIERARCHY.
I would appreciate if some one can suggest suitable solution for this issue.

Hello ,
There might be two reasons:
1)There must be some inconsistency in CRM with respect to hierarchies.You can use reports COM_HIERARCHY_DELETE_ALL in CRM and then again download DNL_CUST_PROD1 and then object MATERIAL.
2)There must be some materials in R/3 which have been maintained for some obsolete hierarchy.
That means hierarchy is not present in CRM and/or also it might not be present in table T179 of R/3.But in table MARA,this hierarchy has some records.Please check and correct the records.

Material Master Replication R/3 to SRM

Hello SRM Experts,
I am in a process of replicating MM from R/3 to SRM server.
This is not a new one,already some materials are loaded into SRM.
Ths issue what I am trying to understand is I have many materials,material Types and material groups added in R/3, but not all flowu2026
I just want to know if I add a new Material Type,Material Group and Materials on R/3 side how do I get them replicated?
What are the tasks that need to be performed on R/3 and SRM for their replication?
I have gone throgh the Blogs of material replication by Vipul,but this is not pointed.
In R3AM1 it is showing the below status...
Running   DNL_CUST_BASIS3
Running   DNL_CUST_PROD0
Running   DNL_CUST_PROD1
Running   DNL_CUST_SRVMAS
Done      MATERIAL
Do I need to start the initial Load R3AS again?

I have made sure that i cleared all the queues in both systems
in SMW01 i found the below
Category for material group 4000 does not exist
Message no. COM_PRODUCT_API002
Diagnosis
If material groups are used in the SAP system, they must exist as categories in CRM/EBP before you import materials. When Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1 is imported, the material groups are imported automatically and created in the category hierarchy R3MATCLASS (material group).
Procedure
Check whether the material groups have been imported successfully and exist as categories.
Proceed
If necessary, import the Customizing object DNL_CUST_PROD1.
I tried restarting the DNL_CUST_PROD1 but this gives me below msg
Please read the OSS Note no. 212666 (QUEUE_ALREADY_EXITS:R3AI_DNL_CUST_PROD1*)

Middleware settings to map CRM Z table fields with ECC material master flds

Hi,
We want to create a Z table in CRM,this table willl have 2 fields External Material Group and Old Material Number.These 2 fields in CRM table are corresponding to same material master (MM03) fields in ECC.The changes to these fields done in ECC material master should be updated in CRM Z table.
I want to understand the middleware settings I need to do in order to map the ECC and CRM fields.

Material Master transfer by CRM middleware

Cannot able to transfer material from R/3 to SRM,
want to know whether system names are specified separately in the CRM middleware config.
what are the basic settings to be done in the this component

You can add these fields in your reduced message type /SAPSLL/MATMAS_SLL ( created with reference to MATMAS ) type that you would have created to send the Produc master data to GTS .
GTS Plugin - Basic Settings ---Activate change pointer for reduced Message type.
Once you include these field in your reduce message type correcpondinf entry has to be maintaine in table TBD62 so that changes to these fields can go to GTS , you can use Tcode BD52 to maintain the entry in TBD62

Why SAP SRM material replication happens through CRM middleware?

Can some one help me to understand, Why SAP SRM material replication happens through CRM middleware? Is there any functional/Technical reason behind this design?

SRM releases later SRM 4.0 are working with the same middleware implementation,
there where no changes between the releases. The SRM middleware implementation
was decoupled from the CRM middleware development at that time.
(Middleware is based on the basis functionality of queued Remote Function Calls qRFC)

Replication of Customer and Material master from R/3 to CRM

Hi
Recently in our quality server basis administrator has made a client copy from production server after that customer master and material master are not flowing from R/3 to CRM, even sales orders were not getting copied from CRM to R/3 , i went through C71 BB config document and fixed the sales orders updation from CRM to R/3 but not able to resolve the problem of customer master and material master from ECC to CRM.
I went to B09 BB document and all settings are fine.
Using R3AS I have loaded following objects DNL_CUST_PROD0, PROD1, PROD3, SPROD , DNL_PLANT. and Material.
I went to R3AM1 and checked the status as running or wait for each object.
There are no filters in R3AC1 .
Queue name withR3AD_MATERIA0000000001 has status SYSFAIL in SMQ2 .
What can i do to resolve this problem.

Hello Vaishnavi,
After the client copy , have you run txn:BDLS in order to change the LOGSYS in all relevant tables?
You can run this txn in test mode as well to see the affected tables.
Are you getting any dump on these load ?Check it in txn:ST22.
