CRM Mobile Sales 5.0 SP09?

Hi,
Does someone know something about following questions:
1. Has SAP scheduled a date on which SAP CRM 5.0 SP09 will be released?
2. Will Visual Studio 2005 be supported as of SP09 or will it still be VS 2003?
3. Will SP09 be a "service release" or an upgrade?
Thanks,
Sebastiaan.

Hi Sebastiaan
Just afaik:
1. No. If the tests are successful, the SP will get released
2. Major changes in supporting SW is usually linked to a release and not a SP. Therefore you would most probably need to wait for 7.0 (scheduled 01/08) until VS2005 will be supported.
3. Most probably it will be just a SP and not a SR.
Regards, Kai
EDIT: Support of VS2005

  • CRM Mobile Sales Application : HTTP Communication Failure ERROR

    Hi All,
I am trying to build a CRM mobile application in the Windows mobile.
the steps that we have followed are:
    1. Activated and generated the Standard CRM mobile software component MAS_SMARTPHONE_DMSCV
    2. Created the same Users in the CRM and DOE system
    3. Set up windows mobile simulator
    4. Created data in the CRM backend and performed initial download in the DOE.
    5. activated the distribution model rules in the Admin and monitoring portal
    6. and finally installed CRM mobile sales App in the Windows mobile, connected it to a device, and logged in to the CRM app from the simulator using the user and password created in step 2.
A device is created on the Admin & monitorng portal as soon as we sync from the simulator but we are unable to see any data
    in the outbound queue.
In the transaction SMQ2 we have found our device queue with an error saying *exception occured due to HTTP communication
    failure*
Debuggin the queue we are able to find an error under the class CL_DOE_ESDMA_SOAP_HANDLER in the method
    PUSH_TO_DEVICE.
As we are on new grounds we are not able to assess the problem. Does it have anything to do with ports.
We are able to get see all the messages and the data while debuggin but while pushing it to the device there is a glitch.

    Hi Siva,
    Thank you for your reply.
We have checked the ports that is concerning SUP it is 2000 we find it is active and open.
We have also checked a  subscription monitoring table as suggested in a previous post [/community [original link is broken]
    threadID=1978692].
we are getting a HTTP 110 error while debugging the queue of the device.
While checking a monitoring we have found a log saying :

  • 405 - ICM_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR in CRM Mobile Sales

    Hi Experts,
We deployed a CRM Mobile Sales 1.2 in Windows Mobile simulator. When we try to login to CRM Mobile Application, it is keep on checking for initial data in the simulator, then we checked in the session monitoring for any errors, we found the error as"405 - ICM_HTTP_INTERNAL_ERROR -".
But we were able to get the all the data (Activities, Task, etc) previously. For the past two days, we were not getting any data in the mobile simulator due to this error.
Please let us know the solution for this issue at the earliest.
    Thanks,
    Mohan.

    Hi Siva,
I am having the same problem, while trying to connect through my Windows7 laptop, the SAP CRM Mobile App keeps on showing "Checking for Initial Load" on login screen after entering the PIN, Connection Information and SAP CRM credentials and never go to App's home page.
I also tried logging through iPhone but not able to see any data there also.
I checked and found the data in MAS_AUTH_CUST & MAS_CUSTOMIZATION and BP related objects (as we haven't downloaded the Products and Transaction related objects yet), but not sure where to check USER_DETAILAS & USER_AUTHORIZATION.
How can we trace and monitor that the data is flowing from NWM to Mobile device??
Quick inputs will be highly appreciated..
    Cheers!!!

  • Difference between SAP MI and CRM Mobile Sales

    hi experts,
we need to understand difference between SAP MI and CRM mobiles sales solutions. what are SAP's  recommendations: where to use MI and where to use Mobile sales.
can some of you explain the pros and cons of each solution or let me know the place where i get such info.
    thanks in advance.
    RH

SAP MI apps are aimed at PDAs while CRM Mobile Sales is aimed (and can only work with) at laptops.
PDA solutions are mostly used by sales agents while the laptop solution is more suitable to account managers. The laptop has much more information available that includes:
    - Marketing planning and execution capabilities
    - Account Planning
    - BW Reporting
Mobile Sales for PDAs has more basic functionalities like order & activity management and business partner data maintenance (which are also included in the laptop version).

  • Order of steps in CRM Mobile Sales 7.0 SP4 Upgrade

    Hi,
Since I read the upgrade guide I am not really sure anymore about the right order of step when performing the upgrade (form 4.0 SP6 to 7.0 SP4):
(OS and Office version are up to the prerequesites)
    0. Back up all ARS databases (dev, test, production)
    1. Run Baseline Comparison tool: Is that recommended to do?
    2. Upgrade SQL Server form 2000 to 2005 SP1 or SP2 with attach, detach and run the SQL script provided by SAP
2a. Install .net 2.0, Java VM 1.5.0_16 and Java Dev Kit (MAR and WB are on the same machine)
    2b. Install Visual Studio (VBasic) 2005 SP00
    3. Run Code Migration (only on DEV, it will create a change list which can be transported to the other systems, correct?)
    4. Run MAR Upgrade tool
    5. Upgrade MRS tools and services
The points I am really unsure is, when to upgrade SQL Server from 2000 to 2005 and when to install Visual Studio.
Could someone please feedback if all the steps are in the right order?
    Whity

Hi everybody confronted with 4.0 to 7.0 SP4 upgrade of MSA,
I have done sich upgrade and here is the list of steps and the order of them:
Pre-upgrade: (check the current system works fine):
    1. Confirm the SAP services (MAR Central, TA) are working fine
    2. Confirm the Transport Process among DEV, QA and PRD is also working fine
    3. Full generation of all apps
    Pre-upgrade:
    4. Baseline comparison in order to ensure all repos are in synch
    5. Backup ars_db and ides
    Upgrade steps:
    6. Check software versions
    7. Install Visual Studio 2005 SP00
    8. Stop TA but not MAR Central Service
    9. Install and run CMT (it will display thousands of collisions, we had 11270 but most of them were solved by the system, finally we had 67 collisisons to resolve manually)
    10. Start TA and release CMT changelist and transport to CRM Server
    11. Backup ars_db
    12. CMT deinstallation
    13. SQL Server upgrade from 2000 to 2005
    14. Stop and uninstall TA. If TA is not being uninstalled there will be problems to uninstall but it can still be done via DOS command
    15. Upgrade the MAR
16: Unistall the MAR upgrade tool
    17. Install Java VM and SDK
    18. Upgrade MDW (run on upgrade CD)
    19. Resolve collisions (document the work!)
    20. After CRM Online was upgraded do a BDoc synch (until this step, MAR, MDW upgrade run independently)
    21. Generate Metadata and table scripts on Ides in ClientConsole
    22. Do a full non incremental generation
    23. Run the application (MSA, MSC, etc.)
    Possible issues:
    1. I had many errors during compilation (not generation, that worked fine). Some of the errors were resolved by ensuring that all objects were generated. This did not happen at the first generation. Other errors came from collision resolution. This is a bit more tricky but keep in mind NO MAJOR CODE CHANGE was required to resolve them. Probably date conversion issues will pop up which can be resolved by "fromadate" / "toadate"...
    2. I had issues with the backed up Ides. Finally I had to restore an empty 7.0 standard SAP Ides and ran the Metadata and table scripts on this Ides. Then I connected and did an extract. This worked fine.
This is it in a nutshell. I hope it will help anybody with an upgrade!

  • CRM Mobile Upgrade Benefits

    Hi,
I need some information /  links on:
End User Benefits for CRM Mobile Sales Upgrade to 7.0 from 4.0.
Advantages for an organization for CRM Mobile Sales Upgrade.
Please provide any help on the above.
    Regards,
    Sunil

    Hello Sunil,
You might be aware that for CRM MSA 4.0 standard support has been closed and hence this would be under CSM i.e customer spefici maintenance.
By upgrading the CRM MSA from 4.0 to 7.0, you would get all the new features that were introduced in CRM 6.0 and 7.0 and also that stable version. You would really appreciate the new features and performance once you upgrade.
    Hope this helps!
    Best Regards,

  • Error while saving a Sales Order in the CRM Mobile Application

    Hi,
I am facing issues while saving a Sales Order in the CRM Mobile Application. I am getting the error message "Value Field KvLangu is not valid (Error: 236 / 1102)".
I would be very grateful if somebody had faced this issue before and this way could help me with some information.
    Best Regards,
    Rogerio Prado.

    Hi Rogerio,
You should put mobile sales related messages in the forum "CRM Mobile applications"
This error message is coming because the language table SMOT002 might be empty in your mobile client OR it does not have all the values which have been customized in the system.
You need to have subscription based on publication "customizing objects" assigned to your site.

  • CRM 5.0 outbound queues to Mobile sales

    Hi all,
We have upgraded from CRM 3.0 to CRM 5.0.
I am looking at the outbound queues in SMQ1 that are bound to Mobile sales Sites and am not finding any data bundles other than the name of the Replication Object name in the LUW's of these queues.
But in CRM 3.0 I am able to see detailed data bundles for any of the queues.
Does this mean no data is actually being passed from CRM to Mobile Sales.
At this point of time  I dont have my commstation up and running to verify this. So I am curious to know how else can I check this?
    Thanks.

    Hi KP,
This is the default behaviour in 5.0...the queues are fine and you can go ahead with the sync using Conntrans.

  • Upgrade from CRM 4.0 to CRM 7.0 and disconnect mobile sales

    Hi
With CRM 7.0 we want to utilize the web UI and stop using Mobile Sales. This means we will no longer need the comms station or workbench machines.  Assuption is that with links to EEC6 from CRM 7.0 we no longer need to download sales orders and that CDB is redundant so mobile bridge can be turned off..
Has anyone done this before ? Do we need to be aare of anything ?
    Best Regards
    M

    Hi,
we are also plan to do the same - replace CRM 4 MSA with CRM 7 Web UI. Technical Topics are more planning and checking: How does the User access the Solution (Netbook and UMTS), global availability, closing Mobile Bridge and deleting CDB Tables, check your Z Reports - some Developer used smo Tables which are not updated after the Upgrade. Plus Organizational challenges: With MSA you could do Rolloutwaves - Now for Example Frday Evening shut down all MSA User -> Monday morning All Users Go Live with CRM Web UI. This has to be handled (incl. deinstall/disable of TS Mobile) incl. Training and Support effort
Hope that helps for the Start

  • Work with Latin2 in CRM and Mobile Sales

    Hi all,
I have the following question: we have a CRM implementation (non Unicode, English language), connected to a non-unicode R/3 system but with MDMP and languages activated, and also a Mobile Sales implementation. The Mobile users do the logon in English language, but they would like to work with Latin2 Customer data (Czech, Russian, etc). Is this possibile given the present configuration of R/3 and CRM? If yes, what must be done in our Mobile Sales computers? I know that the SQL database must be changed, but is there anything else to change?
    Thanks all!
    Judit.

    Hello Judit,
I had similar problems, but we have unicode-systems in r3 and crm.
I implemented sql-database on msa with collation settings
'dictionary order, case-insensitive, for use with the 1250 (central european) character set'.
In crm you'll have to set codepage to 1404 in admin console- site-attribute.
    Then test it.
    Best regards

  • Sybase Mobile Sales for Window Mobile

    Mateus,
    4. Qual a linguagem utilizada ?
    6. Quais os cursos disponíveis no mercado ?
Como falado, SUP511 p/ desenvolvimento em SUP.
Ouvi falar tb de SUP611 para afaria, mas nao sei dizer se a SAP Education já está oferecendo.
    7. Como integra com o SAP ?
O SUP pode integrar de 2 maneiras:
    - lendo um data source SAP diretamente (há um "adapador" RFC no SUP, baseado em JCo); nesse caso, o staging é feito no SUP;
    - usando o DOE (Data Orchestration Engine), componente do NetWeaver Mobile Infrastructure, como staging entre o mobile device e o backend SAP. Nesse caso, no SUP, é usado o DOE conector. É essa estratégia que as aplicacoes "standard" da SAP (por enquanto, Mobile Workflow & Mobile Sales/CRM) usam, mas não dá pra afirmar com 100% de ctz que essa vai ser a arquitetura "oficial" - mais informacoes devem sair no Sapphire.
    8. Uso somente para o SAP ?
O Gateway sim, é focado em backends ABAP.
Já o SUP nao, vc pode usar para integrar quaisquer plataformas compativeis com padroes abertos como JDBC, SOAP & REST.
    Espero ter ajudado.
    Abs,
    Henrique.

    Dear siva,
    Thanks for your replay.
which then can be moved to the devices via OTA or BES
I thought of that BES means BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
BES  is manadatroy to work with SUP?
Can you pleas elaborate, what it means OTA ?
