CRM On-Demand Intergration with Phone System

Hello,
We have now began looking at requirements for a new phone system for the company. I have been asked to investigate what our departmental requirements are.
Due to the fact that i manage the Company CRM i am asking that a key requirement must be that the new Phone System integrates with our Oracle CRM On-demand Application.
Has anyone integrated their On Demand application with a phone system other than all the Oracle applications such as "CCA" or "Call Centre on-Demand".
Can you recommend or do know of any products that are able to integrate with on_demand?

    I do not think there is any independent comparison chart. Every vendor might provide one showing their product beats everyone else. Gartner and Forester ranks CRM On Demand as the leaders in the CRM Space. They are still behind salesforce.com.
    I would suggest look at the functions you are trying to achieve and see which software would make sense. CRM on Demand is on a growth curve while salesforce has stabilized in the market space. CRM on Demand has some of the key functionality from Siebel and I can see they making rapid advancements. Salesforce has lot of partners. CRMOD R16 is going to be a major release with regards to functionality. Issue with CRMOD is they never tell you when they are coming out with a new release. This kind of sux!!.
    R15 of CRMOD has only 3 custom objects and R16 is expected to come out with somewhere between 8 - 30. Salesforce already has more than 30 custom objects (depending on the version).
    Salesforce data center architecture has been questioned of late - since all the salesforce customers were out for 40 minutes sometime last week. This will not happen in Oracle with their Pod Structure. One pod going down wont bring all the customers down.
    Oracle customer service has improved over the last year.

  • Intergration with XACML system

    Hi,
    We have a policy server in the landscape, which communicates only through XACML and an SAP system with BRF+ setup.
    XACML is nothing but an XML message with additional declarative access control tags.
    We are trying to use policy server for validation on few documents. We have a challenge here to integrate these systems.
    Can we use BRF+ import functionality to copy all the XACML rules into SAP?

    I have done things like this many times and I always went with the same approach.
    You need to understand the XACML schema. Then you do a conceptual mapping to the BRFplus artifacts like decision tables, rulesets etc.
    Then you write your XACML inbound interface (e.g. an RFC function module and/or a report for manual upload). Once the XACML is loaded you convert it to BRFplus by using the BRFplus API. Afterwards you save and activate everything. Aquestion you need to deal with is also if the XACML content shall be loaded into an existing application. Should it overwirte existing content or should it all be created again and again which may lead to problems long term. Further, in all cases I did I was able to identify a big deal of reuse. So I had created those reuse objects beforehand (data objects, rules, ...) and in the conversion XACML I had used the reuse objects whenever possible instead of generating same objects multiple time.
    I know there are people that tried to do this by XSL transformations. My experience with this is negative as usually the complexity is too high for an XSL based approach.

    Well interesting requirement but unfortunately Oracle SOD doesnot provide you any direct integration technique or tool for this, instead a custom WebService development would be required to make this happen.

  • Routing issue with ASA and UC540 phone system - at ASA???

    Having an issue with routing from the PC at .242 to the CUE server at 10.1.10.1. The CUE server is built into the UC540 phone system. It is an internal piece of software that is used for voicemail and management. The UC540 is not only a call router, it is also an IOS router. It has it's own WAN connection as does the ASA.
    Here are some facts:
    1. Can ping the UC540's internal CUE server from the PC ( ping to 10.1.10.1 )
    2. Can ping the UC540's VLAN 1 address from the PC ( ping to 10.1.10.1 )
    3. The ASA is the default gateway for the PC.
    4. I have a route inserted at the asa that is:
                   route 10.1.10.1 255.255.255.0 10.19.250.254 1
    5. I have a nat statement that prevents NAT from occuring but I don't think this is necessary as the 10.1.10.0/24 network isn't otherwise defined on the      ASA.
    6. I cannot pull up a web page when I point the browser on the PC to the 10.1.10.1 address
    7. I CAN pull up a web page on the PC when I create a static route on the PC iteslf :
                   route add 10.1.10.1 mask 255.255.255.0 10.19.250.254
         Is is only with this route that I am able to get to the web GUI on the phone system.
    8. The phone system has a loopback interface at 10.1.10.2 that serves as the gateway for the internal CUE server, the internal CUE server is at      10.1.10.1
    9. The switch is a 2960 and has a trunk port to the phone system to allow for the voice vlan which is at 10.1.1.0/24, no issues with this vlan and phones      are connecting to the system fine.
    Since I can get the GUI to come up when I set a static route on the PC, then I would assume that the routing in the phone system with it's internal server is fine as it wouldn't work otherwise. Since I can successfully ping the CUE server from the PC, that would lead me to believe that the ASA's routing is setup correctly..... TCP traffic doesn't seem to get to/from the CUE server.
    Here are the routing tables:
    ASA:

    Hello,
    Where you able to solve this problem? It does sound like an issue with TCP state checking on the ASA. The Firewall needs to see both sides of the traffic but the return traffic is going from your UC540 direct to the PC. The firewall essentially kills the traffic.
    I would recommend disabling TCP state checking on the ASA and see if it works. Otherwise, you will need to stub route the UC540 as a separate VLAN off the ASA which needs to route through the ASA to reach the PC.

  • Integrating CRM On Demand with EBS (12.1.3) using BPEL

    I am working on POC for the integration between EBS and CRM On Demand. We are EBS R12.1.3 and have SOA Suite 10g.
    We are planning to use BPEL to do this communication between EBS and CRM OD. Is this something that is possible using BPEL. In additional to BPEL, do we need Java coding or any other language coding?
    I donwloaded the Account WSDL from the CRM OD website. Created a new BPEL Process using that WSDL. I read that we need to pass the login credentials using a soap header. Can you please let me know how we can do this in a BPEL Process.
    Any pointers would help me alot.

    Can I connect oracle forms 6i or 9ids with CRM On Demand through web link or any other way? if yes how is it possible?

    How you link Forms applications to other applications usually depends on what interface that 3rd party application exposes to Forms. For example, if functionality is exposed via a web service then Forms can quite easily call a web service. But the answer depends on how CRM exposes its functionality.

  • Voice VLAN config with multiple IP Phone systems

    We currently have a legacy TDM ACD system used by the Call Centre running alongside CUCM 8.5 which is used by back office and admin staff.
    When we implemented the Call Manager we configured all our access ports with the Voice VLAN to make any office moves and changes straight forward, regardless of whether or not the position would have a Cisco phone i.e. a cisco phone could be plugged into any floor port throughout the building and it would register.
    Currently I am in the planning stages of replacing the legacy ACD system with Avaya Aura which will be running side by side with CUCM. My concern is that every time there are office moves, the access ports are going to have to be reconfigured to the Voice VLAN of the relevant system depending on which type of phone is at that desk.
    Has anyone had similar experiences and found a solution?
    Not ideal I presume, but was wondering if we could use the same Voice VLAN for both systems?

    It's just a VLAN. Don't sweat it, stick them all in the same one. Nothing will explode.
    Each phone system will have it's own way of locating the call processor.
    CUCM = DHCP Option 150
    Mitel = Some other DHCP option (128-130, and some others)
    Avaya = DHCP option 176
    etc...
    So you can set all these on your scope, and each phone type will find it's server...
