CRM Outlook integration

Hello Experts!
We are using SAP CRM 2006s with ABAP Mapbox and MS Outlook exchange server. Scenario is integration of BPs, Tasks and Activities.
Issue:
1. Partner details other than name fields not getting replicated between Groupware and CRM systems.
The customizing steps as per the Groupware Adapter and Customizing Guide document has been completed for the groupware integration with CRM.
After the initial load of BUPA_MAIN object, the business partners have been flowing between CRM and MS outlook exchange public contacts folder.
Although the new contacts created in Outlook are being transferred to CRM and vice versa, the contact details are not getting replicated.
The inbound BDoc with the business partner from Outlook just has the contact Name and therefore creates the BP with just the name details. The contact details are missing in the inbound BDoc although I can see the contact details in the MapBox in XML format.
The outbound BDoc for partners created in CRM has all the details, but while replicating in Outlook, the contact is created with just name details - the email, telephone and other details are missing. Here again, the mapbox has all the partner details in XML format.
The settings have been maintained for mapping CRM data and vCard format data. The customizing objects have all been downloaded after these changes were made.
But the partner details other than names are not getting mapped into the inbound BDoc from the XML format in mapbox. Similarly Outlook does not seem to use the partner details from the XML payload while creating the contact.
2. The DB table CRMD_MBA_GUISTOR with the MapBox data has entries with reference to BUPA and BUPA_REV_VCARD - corresponding to inbound and outbound Partner data. There is no entry with reference to tasks and appointments that we are trying to exchange. Is there any other setting for tasks and activities exchange? Or is this issue likely due to the Userlist.xml file not being updated with employee email details?
Thanks,
Aarthi.

Hi Jay,
1. as I already answers you on the Topic: Development :: CRM Outlook.
3. Not directly. Only with the Add-On.

  • CRM 2007 CRM Outlook Integration

    Hi All
Implementing CRM 2007 and integrating groupware mainly outlook. When i synchronize from outlook to CRM is giving error "Synchronization could not be executed due to error during data retrieval from CRM" but i am able to synchronize Appointments, Tasks.I would like to know why this error coming and how to get rid of these.
Secondly all appointments and tasks are synchronized on client based settings which is why i need to synchronize every time i create or change them. How do i make server based synchrononization where i dont have to synch every time.
And also the contacts iam able to synch Contacts to outlook public folder but as per my scenario i want to synch them to a private folder to Outlook....is there any special setting required for contacts ????.
Any help on this is much appriciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sama

    Hello,
Server-side groupware integration is certainly more robust, stable and configurable. However, setting up the s-s groupware integration is a small project on it's own, especially in a large company.
"Synchronization could not be executed due to error during data retrieval from CRM" this error is mostly related to an incorrect address in the outlook sap calendar configuration screen. Check, in Outlook, Tools->Options->SAP Calendar-->Configuration
Check if the SAP CRM server address AND port are correct, if you don't specify HTTP or HTTPS in front of the address SAP will prefix it with HTTPS so make sure the port number is correct for HTTP or HTTPS. (you can get the port numbers for HTTP/s in transaction SMICM-->Services)
For client-side GWI there is one place where you can customize some settings but they are all defaulted so it should work out of the box, even for contact persons. Check in SPRO>CRM>CRM Middleware and related components-->Settings for client-based synchronization.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind regards,
    Joost

  • Oracle CRM On Demand Outlook Integration - Add-in shows inactive

I have followed the steps given in the Oracle CRM On Demand->MySetup.
After installing the OEI, the dll file is registered.
In MS outlook->Tools->Trust Center->Add-ins. The Siebel Outlook Integration Add-ins is shown in the "Inactive Application Add-ins".
How can this be enabled/Active so that Oracle CRM On Demand application is integrated with Microsoft Outlook?
    kindly advice.

Finally found a solution for this problem:
In MS Outlook 2007, navigate to Tools->Trust Center->Macro Security-> Select option "Warnings for all macros".
Restart MS Outlook and the Oracle CRM email Integration buttons will appear..
    Hope this helps..

  • Clientbased Outlook-Integration: Import Contacts/Accounts from CRM to Outlo

    Hi,
I set up the clientbased Outlook-Integration von CRM 2007. Everything works fine besides the synchronization of Contacts/Accounts from CRM to Outlook.
What are the requirements for a contact to be imported to Outlook?
    Can anybody help?
    Thanks in advance,
    Ben.

    Ben,
the standard relationship for this is BUR011. we have given a customizing under SPRO where you can maintain that.
Once that is done the contacts where the logged-in employee is correctly assigned to would go to the outlook folder.
if that does not work pls send me an e-mail and we can check your system remotely

  • MS Outlook Integration with CRM & Single Sign-On for Mobile\Blackberry

    Hi,
Weu2019re looking at implementing CRM and have some questions on whether SSO (Single Sign-On) is a requirement for integrating Outlook with CRM for access via Mobile\Blackberry devices or not. I've the following questions:
    - For integrating Outlook and Active Directory with CRM is SSO implementation a MUST?
    - Also, is it possible to integrate Outlook without Active Directory integration with SAP esp. CRM?
    Mandeep Virk

We got this figured out a couple of months earlier. It's nto a requirement to have SSO enabled for MS Outlook integration w/ CRM for Mobile\Blackberry use.

  • MS Outlook Integration with SAP

    Hi,
I have few questions on outlook integration ( CRM 4.0) which is as follows.
    1) Can we integrate Email by implementing Outlook integration in CRM 4.0? I heard that we can only integrate activities and tasks with SAP and MS outlook
    2) When we create contact information in the account screen in CRM PCUI under relationship tab, the attributes like email id, mobile number, fax number, designation and department gets stores in relationship pop up in CRM GUI. Can I transfer these data (maintained in relationship pop-up in GUI) to MS outlook? I heard it has to be maintained in contact master data and not in relationship pop-up.
    3) When a Contact Person is exchanged from CRM to Groupware having the relationship “Is Contact Person For” to an Organization in CRM, the name of the Company is displayed in Outlook Contact data. Also there is an option to display the address of the organization in the contact person’s communication fields. If the name of the Organization is changed or address data or communication fields are changed at a later point in time in CRM the updated name or address of the Company is not reflected in groupware contact for this Contact person. Is this True?
    4) If a Meeting request is created in Groupware with a Contact Person as invitee, his organization is NOT determined and added to the Business Activity.
E.g. it is NOT possible to determine the account of the contact person and add this account as the Activity Partner in the Business Activity. Is this True?
    Points will be rewarded****************

    Hi
    1) Unread eMails are shown in the inbox. In standard nothing more, but you can read the inbox entries and from there on build your own functionality to create an activity from there (pretty difficult). Other than that, only activities and tasks are integrated.
    2) It can be done. A customer of mine did it together with SAP, but they both together spend some 100 days into this solution - obviously not a standard solution.
    3) Yes, it is not updated as the shown adress is only inherited and does not belong to the CP. The CP is only updated if its own CRM data is changed.
    4) This is not a standard functionality of the groupware integration. However you could customize a reverse partner determination from contact person to its BP and put that into the business partner. I would try and trigger it OnSave, otherwise you need to go into the BAPI_Order_Save and program it yourself.
    Hope this helps,
    Kai

  • Outlook Integration inconsistencies

    Dear Members,
I have been testing the outlook integration functionality in Sap B1 2005 and Sap B1 2007 and the concept is very good because it enhances CRM for clients as well as integrated communication into the erp package.
However, I have found some inconsistencies in the solution whereby a specific functionality works inconsistently. Find below some of the queries I had and if anyone has come across them, kindly advice.
    1) When an email is saved as an activity and the contacts in the email are not directly linked to  a specific business partner, the dialog box only provides an option to save the email to the email addresses and not any business partner. We can therefore not choose to have the email saved as an activity of a business partner. It would also be wrong to add the email addresses as contacts of that specific business partner as they are not.
2)Emails which have signatures are not saved correctly as attachments to an activity. The u201Ccontentu201D of the email is saved in the activity of the business partner, yet in the u201Cattachmentsu201D the link to the email is not present.
3)u201CSave Email as activityu201D does not always give options to save. It will act as u201CQuick save-email as activityu201D and save the email without giving any prompt.
4)After selecting the appointments ( in outlook ) to synchronize with sap, the appointments which are not synchronized initially will keep coming  up every time a synchronization is done. This results in a very long list of appointments in outlook which constantly have to be deselected and is very monotonous.
5)Once the add on is connected and a user creates an appointment in outlook, a prompt appears to synchronize it with sap. If the prompt is cancelled and at a later time a manual synchronization is done, the appointments in outlook which were not earlier synchronized do not appear in the list for appointments to be synchronized. Therefore, we have to go and manually synchronize them one at a time.
6)There is no current facility to save emails as  activities for multiple business partners.
    Thanks in advance
    Kind regards,
    Indraj.

  • CRM groupware integr: Mapping additional customer data

    Hi,
we're running CRM groupware integration for replicating CRM contact persons to outlook private folder. This works fine in principle. However, I've got a question:
When taking a look at an outlook contact one is able to maintain several phone numbers, e.g. "Business, Business2, Private, Private2, ..." as well as several mail addresses "E-Mail, E-Mail2, E-Mail3". By default the default phone number of the business parter in CRM is replicated to phone number "Business" in outlook. Same logic for mobile and fax number. Is there a way to replicate the other numbers and mail addresses (non-default) to the outlook contact and provide them under the corresponding fields (e.g. "Business2", "E-Mail2")?
Thanks for any inputs & kind regards
    Wolfgang Mayer

    Hi Praveen,
    do you mean
    - the email addresses maintained in the standard address
    or
    - the default email address?
The standard address is marked as BUT020-XDFADR, the default (standard) mail address (in the standard address) is marked as ADR6-FLGDEFAULT.
    Pls clarify this issue.
    Thanks & regards
    Wolfgang

  • Does the Outlook Integration Standalone add-on work over HTTPS?

We have a customer who is using MS CRM over HTTPS for out of the network access to Outlook and MS CRM within Outlook.
Does anyone know whether the SAP Outlook Integration Standalone add-on for 2007A will operate (sync/save email as activity etc) using a HTTPS connection?
    Many Thanks
    Brodie

    Dear Brodie,
SAP Business One Outlook Integration (Standalone) needs to have Microsoft Outlook installed on the workstation.
    Refer to [http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/documentation|http://service.sap.com/smb/sbo/documentation].
So if the locally installed Microsoft Outlook is able to connect to (for excample) an Exchange Server in order to sync its own emails, then its no problem for Outlook Integration too.
    By the way:
I think it was originally developed for Sales persons, who are visiting their customers, but either no or very limited bandwith is available in order to connect to any network outside the local Intranet. These Sales persons does not need to have a SAP Business One client installed on their laptop, but only the Standalone version of Outlook Integration (OI) and  Microsoft Outlook itself.
So far as I can see the aim of OI is beeing able to work without any network access when onsite.

  • SAP CRM Groupware Integration - Create appointments on mobile phone.

    Hi all
We have implemented the serverside groupware integration with CRM 2007 and Exchange.
Usually the appointments in Outlook are created with category
"CRM_ACT_001". Unfortunately some Mobile Phones (like the iPhone) are not
able to set the category of an appointment.
Our users usually create their Outlook appointments on their mobile.
So we had to customize the GWAdapter to let through all activities from
groupware (without filtering for the category).
To do so we changed the spro entry "Maintain Groupware Object Selectionand Retrieval":
    - From: ACT Categories CRM_ACT*
    - To: ACT Categories *
Unfortunately this causes a lot of problems:
    - The category of the activity in CRM got deleted everytime you change the appointment in outlook.
    - When you set a meeting in Outlook to "private" the activities in
CRM AND Outlook are deleted automatically.
Does anyone had similar problems? How can you synchronize the calender on the mobile phone with CRM?
    Thanks in advance.
    Marco

    Checked the issue with SAP.
You cannot synchronize the appointments without giving an category. On iphone and most other smartphones you cannot chose a category.

  • CRM 2007 Integration with Lotus Notes 8.0 (Groupware Integration)

    a) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Installation Guide)
    b) SAP CRM Groupware Connector Relase 4.0 (Administrative Guide)               c) MapBox 4.0 sp 11             &
    d) Groupware Integration installation Guide.
We have started with Groupware connector Release 4.0 Installation guide
    We stucked at
5.3 Installing Lotus Domino Groupware Connector
    Procedure
    1. Log on to your host using prepared Groupware Connector's administrative account.
    2. Launch setup.exe
    3. Click Next on the Welcome screen.
    4. Read the text on the Installation Prerequisites screen and check if your computer meets all the software
and hardware requirements. If yes, press Next.
    5. Select the type of SAP Groupware Connector you want to install. Check if you want to install instance of
Default Groupware Connector Proxy. Then press Next, wait while setup routine detects required
    software.*
    Now my questions are....
    1. Where will this setup.exe come from?
    2. Do we need to install the things in the same mannare listed above a,b,c,d?
    3. As we are implementing CRM 2007, i hope we dont need install Mapbox.
Please help me in successfull Integration.

    Hi Peter & Stephen
Thank your very much for quicke replies.
Peter in one of the messages Martin Dauer  wrote the following recently on Oct 23 08. , so do you want me to confirm once again before proceeding further.
Re: Link between sap crm 2007 with lotus 8

    Hi Naveen,
thanks for your detailed description. This is exactly the way how the Client GWI is getting set up. one little remark from my side on the steps.
The user field are not required to be filled if you use Lotus Notes. this is only for the case of MS Outlook where you can start the synch from the OL Screen as well.
The password field is not used with either groupware system. So you leave it blank and with the first replication run you are asked to type (and maybe save) your password. it is there as the application is shared with Mobiel sales as well and therfore we could not get rid of it.
    Supported platforms
In general both the server and client GWI were tested with Lotus 8.0 and CRM 7.0.
For server GWI Domino 8 is already supported for greater CRM 5.0, so should work with LD 8.0.
The installation guide for GWI is available here ...

  • MS Outlook integration issue

    Hi experts!!
I have set up One-2-One outlook integration based on Best Practices.
    I have one issue though:
Account Details are replicated just fine EXCEPT from email address.
    Any ideas???
    Thank u in advance!!

    Hi.
Try to maintain different e-mail types on Outlook to see if some of them reply to SAP CRM. The system behaves differently for commercial e-mail, private e-mail.
    Please verify.

  • Outlook integration question

I would appreciate some clarification regarding Outlook integration.
I am finding if I add an email to a CRM opportunity or lead, the email will automatically will show at an associated account. However, if I add an email to an account, it will not be present in the parent account. In fact, the parent account does not even show in the "related records" area in the integration screen.
Is this an accurate reading of this? Is this configuration modifiable?
    Thanks.
