CRM Portal Authorization question

Hi,
does anyone know how to setup authorization for EP6? Our requirement is to have a user who can only change the sales prospects he's assigned to with partner function Employee responsible. He should be able to see all in Accounts, but should only be able to change the ones he's assigned to.
Any ideas? I know that the portal authorization works different than the CRM SAP GUI one. So what can I do?

Bandwidth requirement for running CRM Portal

Hi,
We are implementing CRM 5.0. We want to provide the CRM portal connectivity to the various branches of client, where in each branch max 2-3 users will be required to access the Portal.
Please suggest how much should be the network bandwidth from datacenter to branches to run the application?

3 years back, I have got the answer of my question somewhere in any document. But forgot to update here. Today while viewing my earlier posts, i thought to share with all.
The formula to calculate bandwidth is as follows -
C=X* N* D* 0.25
where X= Amount of data per dialog steps in kB
N= No. of active users
D= Average no. of dialog steps per min per user
Since the date i knew this formula, i got it best fit in most of the requirements.

Jump target RRI from BW report to CRM Portal

Hello Experts,
Need to create a Jump target from the BW query to CRM Portal Tcode CRMD_ORDER.
I am passing the transaction number ( similar to sales order in R/3) to this tcode CRMD_ORDER in CRM
Step1) create the receiver
Type: Transaction. Defined the source system and entered the Tcode CRMD_ORDER in the 'report' field.
Receiver is created
Assignment. details:
I can see the source infobject 0CRM_OBJ_ID from the Infobject column; Type : Infobject; Field name : OBJECT_ID / GV_OBJECT_ID;
OBJECT_ID is the table field in the CRM System for the transaction number.
GV_OBJECT_ID is the screen field name in the CRM system for TCODE CRMD_ORDER.
I tried with both the OBJECT_ID and GV_OBJECT_ID.
Expected result: Open the Tcode CRMD_ORDER with the transaction number eg: 1000001 that is passed from the Bex report. Currently that is not happening. It is opening Tcode CRMD_ORDER but not the document 1000001. I have to manually open it.
Please suggest if anything got missed in the definetion of RSBBS.

What I found out so far is that by using a URL like
http://...:8060/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/BBP_POC_DISPLY?sap-client=300&sap-language=EN&PO_GUID=490622657B526483E10000000A0A3D25
in RRI it is possible to jump from a BW web report to SRM to display a corresponding purchase order. This URL uses the PO_GUID, but with help of a couple of lines of ABAP in a custom BSP I was able to use the PO number instead of the GUID, too.
In general I am looking for URL's do display purchase oders, shopping carts and confirmations in SRM and URL parameters that can be used. Or anything related to that topic.
From my experience users find it very useful to easily jump from BW into the original transactions to clarify potential issues there. I have implemented this a lot in the past with BW and classic R/3 GUI transactions, so I'm looking for a way to implement this with SRM as well.

How to set portal authorization in ABAP Webdynpro application

Hi All,
Do you have an idea how to set the visibility for Group UI element based on the Portal user authorization in ABAP Webdynpro , for example if the portal user A(or group A), logins into the portal on click of the ABAP Webdynpro IView then we need to set invisible (hide) the Group UI element in webdynpro ABAP Application.
Do you have any sample code on the same to handle the portal authorization in Webdynpro ABAP?? , please let me know if couldnu2019t understand this requirement or my explanation

Can u get me other things, how to copy of the existing component and i want to give the new name for the component and there i need to modify, i dont want to disturb original component before copy...let me know the procedure for the same??

Issue with Web report interation on CRM Portal (7.0)

Hi,
System Landscape/Access route: CRM Portal (7.0) => One BI System (ABAP + JAVA = 7.3 SPS 5 Patch 3)
After we upgraded our dual SID One BI system (BI-ABAP + BI-JAVA) to 7.3 SPS 5 Patch level 3; the CRM Portal (version 7.0) which uses Application Integration iViews to launch One BI reports has following issues:
1. Buttons like Open, Save, etc. do not work
2. Drag-drop of characteristics from Free-Characteristics into report does not work.
These functionalities work for the same query if I copy the BI-Java stack URL in a separate internet browser. But the same query / URL does not work when rendered via the CRM Portal.
All these functionalities were working prior to the One BI upgrade. Can you please guide on how to fix this issue?

PCUI CRM Portal Performance Issues

Hi Folks,
We are using the PCUI CRM Portal. we done the Customized tab, like Product, Customer and Trade Contract Planner.
All most all we are used Standard BSP Application, CRM_BSP_Frame. and all class and method also copy from Standard Class, and we add the small code for only one event: Query event.
Issues are..
Portal logon is woking fine, and when ever user client the Trade Contract Planner, Its taking much time to load. Other tabs are load very fast.
Any one please guide me.. How it will work fine.

Monitoring User in CRM Portal

Hi All,
Our company have finished CRM portal and this week we will doing a stress test by using portal system at a time with lot of user. How to monitoring users that have been logged into portal in one day?Not only the total number of user but also all user ID.
I have try to monitoring from 'System Administration->Monitoring->Activity Reports' but it only show total number of user and the most active users (10) in last 3 hours. Any helpful answer will be rewarded. Thank You.

How to create a business partner whose BP category is person in crm portal.When I use Partner and account management>Partner function in portal,I create a new partner,the partner category is default organization,can not change.
But I what to create a partner with the partner category person,how can I do it?
Is there any other special function to ceate a BP in portal matching the function with T code Bup1(create BP)in sap gui?

Hello,
Standard CRM PC UI application offers three options when you push 'New' button: 'Person', 'Organization' and 'Group' (combobox appears). In your case, 'Person' should be selected.
p.s. If you don't see combobox mentioned above, it could be security issue.

CRM Portal Role Copier

Anybody used this tool?
A portal role is linked to a backend single role. SAP ships several standard portal roles / backend single roles specific to CRM.
Since the CRM Portal Roles hyperlink between several portal iViews / PCUI applications within the Portal (this is setup in the backend on tables crmc_prt_role_mo & crmc_prt_role_rl). To make things easier there is a role copied on the Portal (crm admin role)
But I've tried using this by copying a crm backend single role and portal role that exists to a new single backend crm role and portal role. So far hasn't work
The documentation says make sure the single role and portal role exists - are they talking about the destination role?
Also mentions addition to desitnation role field - what's this?

To keep it clear ,using role copier copy CRM backend role to custom role whatever created on portal .Once portal role is generated assign that to user profile to get the object links .

CRM Pricing authorization

Hello All -
We are working on CRM 2007 authorizations.
We have a scenario: a user having authorization for creating sales order ( via. CRMD_ORDER t-code). He should not have access to modify values in u201CPricesu201D & u201CConditionsu201D tabs (meaning DISPLAY access only). 1. Can anyone help me through which authorization objects we can achieve?
2. Is screen variant an option?
3. Is BAdI coding an option? If yes which BAdi to use?
Our interest would be using authorization objects. As in another scenario we have to give user option to modify in Sales Order but should not modify values in u201CPricesu201D & u201CConditionsu201D tabs. Any options please help.

BI, CRM, Portal same server?

Does anyone know if its possible to run BI, CRM, Portal on the same server? Either way does anyone have links to docs that explain?

Technically you can run both on the same server as long as it is a EP 7 system with BI JAVA and the required Business Packages for CRM.
I have not seen any documents explaining this specific issue, you can see the attached document for recommended system landscape.
