CRM Service functionality

The suggestion is that Serial Number generation needs to be activated if the CRM Service module needs to be used. Any suggestions on a work around ?

In addition to my first answer, The serial number generation actually needed when you want to use service module. Nevertheless, you could use item group or customer.
There is a contract template setup used in the service contract that required serial number, customer or item group. Most of electtronic service requires serial number. So, when selling goods/items, you need to generate serial no. if you did not want to generate it when receiveing the goods through GRPO. SO, your serial number generation is set by release only in the item master data. I think service contract and its template are the primary things to consider about the need of serial number generation in service module.

    I use service interval template which be linked to a service product master and use PGname : RSPPFPROCESS   to create service order from service contract. But the template do not work , and the service product master in the template can't be posted to service order.

    I defined an service interval template named Z000000001, and in template Z000000001,  a Transaction Number of Template  6000000(it is a CRM document) was defined.
    In serveice master , i give internal template Z000000001 to a special service master. When this special service master is used in transaction document , and this transaction document is automatically followed up to a service order document by the program RSPPFPROCESS, the template  Z000000001 will be linked , and the item detail defined in the template document  6000000 will be posted to new service order document as a sub item detail.
    But, it not work. could you give me some advice about this issue?

    with ref. to sap standard functionality i am able to upload the document in DMS content repository through SAP R/3 Ecc System as below.

    To replicate product substitution in CRM I have followed the same steps which SAP has provided in help.sap.com
    Product Substitution - Sales Quotation and Order Management - SAP Library
    1) After implementing the initial loads using objects DNL_COND_D001,DNL_CUST_PDD products are populated successfully in CRM condition table
    1CN/CCRSAP001 .
    2) Condition type has created successfully and it was assigned In define determine procedure in Application CRM and in Usage PD.
    3) Assigned Condition procedure in Define transaction types to the required process type.
    but nothing is happening in CRM Web UI /GUI. Could any one suggest did I miss any steps to activate product substitution .

    I got an clue and it is SAP using below function module for product substitution purpose , here it is taking ordered product and looking in pricing tables ( in VMC ) is there any substitution products are available or not . if yes then it is throwing the popup. In my case i haven't received any products from pricing tables so I have populated it in Debug Mode . then I got a popup to select the product with description as Sales Order Item xxxxxx have below substitute products but now I am doing all this process in CRM service order.

  • Unable to view Spare Part Components in SAP CRM Service Order

    Hello All,
    We are implementing CRM 7.0 Ehp 2.0
    As per the following video it is now possible to integrate the spare part components in the CRM Service Order, using the BOM replication and Product Proposal functionality in SAP CRM
    SAP CRM 7.0 - Integration of ERP BOM Information in the CRM Product Proposal
    However in our case we are not able to achieve the desired results.
    Following configurations are done
    1) The BOM is replicated from ECC to CRM the same can be viewed in commpr01
        Material 4561 is the main product and 4562 is the component
    2) The item category for the main product is YRVS where the customization for structure scope is done
    3) For the Product Proposal customization's, I have created a new method schema
    4) The transaction type and the sales org are assigned to the method schema
    5) However now when I am creating the service order, I enter the sold to party, the product id
    6) Next  I go to the line item to click on product proposal.
    7) The system issues the below message
    Please advice if I am missing on any configurations.

    Thanks for your reply, appreciate the same, I have now added the relationship objects as per your post above in comm_hierarchy for the particular category
    Now  in the product master , I am now able to view the tabs(screen shot attached)
    Next I create my BOM in ECC with BOM Usage 5 and save the same
    Next I run the initial download for the adaptor object  BOM in SAP CRM
    When I check in commpr01 for the material 4561 the component and the main material have not come.
    Can you please advice further.

  • Faxing adobe pdf forms using actions in CRM service process

    Hi experts,
    Does anybody has experience in sending adobe PDF forms as a fax using actions in CRM service processes? Currently I use this by implementing a PPF BAdI, but what else configuration, software and hardware requirements I need to make faxing work in CRM?
    Is it possible to use 3rd party software to send the fax for example winfax and transfer the fax number to this?

    As far as I remember, we already know each other
    Our company have been using winfax in the past for sending fax messages. Now that they will use SAP-CRM shall they buy a new fax server? I have looked after Topcall, it might be useful with RFC?
    In CRM service order, I use the EXEC_METHODCALL_PPF BAdI implementation to collect the data from the service order, and then use the standard function modules to "print" or "fax" the PDF document (call function FM_NAME).
    At this function module, which structure do I neet to enter the recipient's fax number (I read somewhere that I have to use DEVICE='TELEFAX' in the output_options - is it true?) ?
    Or should I communicate from the BAdI with Business Communication Services (create recipient and similar methods)?
    Is there any way to send the fax from the local machine where the user uses the SAP GUI?

    1) a Service Ticket is created on CRM IC Webclient.
    2) This Service Ticket is then Replicated in Plant Maintemance (PM) Service Notification on ECC.
    3) Then the Service Notification is executed in the PM Module through PM Service Order.
    4) Then the service order status is updated on the Service Ticket.
    5) The PM Service Notification and PM Service Order details should be visible from the Service Ticket window in IC Webclient.
    I would appreciate if you can provide any information/details on how to replicate a CRM Service Ticket to Plant Maintemance (PM) Service Notification on ECC.

    I´m thinking about a customer solution using a RFC function call to create the CS Service Notification in background.

  • Partners from a CRM service document

    Hi Guys,
    I have to extract the Partners assigned to a CRM Service document to BW. The way I have been doing it is calling the "CRM_ORDER_READ" function module in the User exit and using the "Partner function" trying to populate the additional field that I had created to enhance the datasource.
    But I believe there should be a better way of doing it. The issues with the way I am doing are
    1. If I have some new "Partner functions" defined, then I have to extend the "extraction structure" to include those additonal ones.
    2. If the same partner function is used more than once, e.g. a "resp employee" is used twice, then I cannot dynamically include the 2nd "emp resp" to be included in the extract strucuture.
    So if anyone has worked on this and knows a better way of extracting the data, please share.

    I would suggest not to use CRM_ORDER_READ because of
    performance.
    Instead look at the function I use (below).
    Also, if you want to keep your partner at the same level as the Line or Header you will have to extend the struct.
    Other wise you can load all the BP's to a seperate ODS and link them to the other ODS's (Lines and Headers).

    I was searching the internet for a solution in order to get the Bapi_Busprocessnd_Createmulti create a service ticket. I am also using it from a SAP portal application just like you.... and therefore everything should be RFC enabled. I have a few questions and I hope you can help with those:
    -  You mention that at first you should use the CRM_GUID_CREATE function module in order to create a guid as input for the bapi Bapi_Busprocessnd_Createmulti. But how can call this function module because it is not RFC enabled?
    - Is it possible for you to share the input parameters that you have used in order to create a service ticket in CRM?
    I hope you can help me with these questions.... that would be fantastic!

  • CRM Checklist Functionality

    Hi Gurus
    I have 2 questions regarding this "Checklist" functionality.
    Documentation indicates it can only be used in Service scenarios.
    Does this Include "Business Activity" or "Task" Transaction Types?
    Documentation also indicates that Checklists can be manually added to a Transaction.
    So does this mean I can add an individual Checklist item?Or when I manually add a Checklist it makes all items in the configured checklist visibleIf this is the case can I then have multiple configured Checklists which have 1 step in each of them, and then I can select a number of these checklists manually?

    To begin with the learning, the best way would be to hang around SDN and SAP HELP Portal. I guess you would like to get familiar with the Business Process first and then slowly explore all the technical objects that are behind this. The best possible way to learn this is to visit is SAP Portal. This is the place from where you can get a wealth of resources starting from Road Maps to Business Processes. [SAP Portal|www.sap.com].
    With this I would also like to mention a few things which are very important. I am not much aware of your exposure to SAP Systems and Functionality. In SAP data is classifies into various categories. Most important among them being the Transactional Data, Master Data and Customization Data. You will get a detailed understanding and classification of it once you start with CRM.
    Hope this is quite good to make the start with. You can also post in forum if you have any further doubts. You can finish the Base Customizations and then slowly migrate to SAP CRM Service.

    I need to customize ECC IMG object CRM_SRV_BILL_MAP (SPRO -> Integration with Other mySAP.com Components -> Customer Relationship Management -> Settings for Service Processes -> Billing Integration -> Map Transaction Types and Item Categories).
    This is to map SAP CRM Service Transactions to SAP ECC Sales Orders for triggering Debit/Credit Memos based on Service Orders. However, the table in which CRM Service Transaction Types are stored is empty (CRMC_SRV_BILL_PR) - how to we get the data in there?
    For some reason, we have one client where this info is available, in another one it's not. We are not sure whether this might be a download object, or if customizing on ECC side is required?

    Hi,
    As far as my knowledge goes in this area, i have worked on this in my previous project with R/3 version being 4.7. We have had to manually maintain the configuration in the table that you are reffering to. So you would need to maintain the document type to be created and also assign the item categories acordingly.You will ofcourse need to configure the document types and item categories that are relevant to create a debit/credit memo in R/3. Also, you will need to map the CRM item categories to the R/3 credit/debit item categories.
