Crm upgrade with EHP1 inclusion

Hi All,
We are upgrading CRM 2007 to CRM 7. Both CRM Abap and Java stacks are installed seperately on different servers.
I have following questions:
1) Can we inculde/ combine the CRM upgrade with CRM EHP1 upgrade? How big would be the time effort involved if we go ahead with CRM EHP1?
2) Any tentative timelines it takes to upgrade an Abap+Java system. This would really help us in efficiently planning the entire exercise.
Thanks,
Antarpreet

Hi,
Same is my landscape (seperate abap and java) instance. I hope by now you upgrade must have started. Please share with me what did u plan in this kind of landscape
Thanks,
- gaurav

    Hi Antarpreet ,
Yes you can go straight from CRM 2007 to CRM 7 EHP1 in one step.
The main advantage is that you have the new functionality of EHP1 in a single project instead of upgrading to CRM 7 and then having to start another project to implement EHP1.
    The guides are available at
    http://service.sap.com/instguides
    scroll down to
    SAP CRM
    on the main window
    Select
SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP CRM 7.0
from the left side and click on upgrade for all the details on how to upgrade straight from CRM 2007 to CRM7 EHP1

  • CRM Upgrade 2007 to 7.0 EHP1 / Mount point language Issues

    Hi All,
I am working on the CRM upgrade in our landscape (CRM2007 to CRM7.0 with EHP1), Source environment is windows 2008 and SQL 2005.
I am currently in the configuration road map -  While giving the mount points, its asking for language DVD for CRM and for language AR.
However I tried the languages under this label numbers (51036861 and also 51036853) - But no luck for any of this softwares. And its keep on telling the below message in the mount point screen
the  mount point ' X:\upgrade_softwares\CRM\51036861' cannot be acccessed - Please enter the mount point for the DVD titled language DVD(s) for proudct CRM and language AR
    Steps taken :
Its clearly stated cannot be accessed, I thought it must be a permission problem and gave everyone access to the folder , still the same answer. Even I gave the label.ASC as the mount point - but its not working for that as well.
And I thought, it must be a software problem, So I used the other software 51036853 - the error remains the same
Anyone have input on this? Highly appreciable if you share your suggestions
    Regards
    Robin

    Hi Nils,
Thanks for your time,  As you said, I have tried with this new label as well - But the error still persist, please find the below logs for your reference. (Also, I tried with the mount point as label.asc - But no luck)

  • CRM 7.0 EHP1 and FINBASIS

    Gurus,
I hope this question is posted in the correct forum...if not, let me know where it ought to go.
We are currently running CRM7.0 with NW7.01 dual stack with these components:
    SAP_ABA     701     0007     SAPKA70107
    SAP_BASIS     701     0007     SAPKB70107
    PI_BASIS     701     0007     SAPK-70107INPIBASIS
    ST-PI     2008_1_700     0004     SAPKITLRD4
    SAP_BS_FND     701     0008     SAPK-70108INSAPBSFND
    SAP_BW     701     0007     SAPKW70107
    SAP_AP     700     0021     SAPKNA7021
    WEBCUIF     700     0008     SAPK-70008INWEBCUIF
    BBPCRM     700     0008     SAPKU70008
    ST-A/PI     01N_700CRM     0000          -
Now, we'd like to move to CRM 7.0 EHP1 which includes NW7.02
When I log in to the maintenance optimizer to pull down the entire list of patches, I'm also prompted to install a completely new component called FINBASIS.  Now I'm familiar with this component from the ECC6.0 side, but never from CRM.
I'm wondering if I must install this or if optional when I move to CRM 7.0 EHP1.
Does anyone have any experience with what I am describing?
    --NICK

I found the master guide and it states this:
    Finbasis for CRM
Finbasis for CRM is a optional SAP add-on that can be either installed on top of either SAP ERP or SAP CRM. This add-on includes the Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM) applications SAP Dispute Management and Collections Management, which extend the SAP ERP Financials capabilities.
These applications add extra functionality to the Shared Service Center business scenario available with the SAP CRM Interaction Center. To use these applications, you may simply deploy this software unit on top of your SAP CRM system, without having to upgrade your SAP ERP system to EHP5.
So since we already have an ECC system that is moving to EHP5, I don't think we'll add this component to CRM.

  • ECC 6.0 with EHP1 installation

    Hi Guys,
Not able find the correct installation guide for ECC6.0 installation (SR3) on AIX/DB2 platform. Can anybody please provide some link for the same ?
Also my customer has a requirement for latest available EHP i.e. EHP4. I understand that first we have to install EHP1 and then upgrade the system to EHP4. Is there any other alternative ?
Please provide some inputs if you worked on ECC6.0 installation with EHP1/4. I'm urgently looking for some help on this.
    Thanks

    Hi Mike,
If this is a fresh installation then you should go with the ERP 6.0 EHP4 READY SR1 Installation. The plus point will be in ehp4 ready, after the installation the netweaver software components are already on ehp1 and kernel is 7.01, while the ecc software components are still in the 600 level.then you can update it to EHP4 using EHPi.But remember  it is MANDATORY that you should proceed with the EHP4 installation using SAPephi, else i think the system will be in a state where SAP will not support and its not advised to use system like that.
if you go with the normal installation you'll get version 700 and kernel on 700 and then you take it to EHP4.
I will go with option one.
    Best Regards

  • NW7.0 BW Upgrade to EHP1

    Hi all,
We are doing an upgrade from  NW 7.0 (ABAP only) BW
    SAP_ABA - 700 - 12
    SAP_BASIS - 700 - 12
    PI_BASIS - 2006-1-700 - 1
    SAP_BW - 700 - 13
    BI_CONT - 702 - 3
    To Target version EHP1
    Component     Release     Level
    SAP_ABA     701     6
    SAP_BASIS     701     6
    PI_BASIS     701     6
    SAP_BW     701     6
    BI_CONT     702     7
When we connected to Solution Manager (Basis SP 701 - 3), it gave us the options to download
    SAP_BW - 700 (14-16) and then to
    EHP1 SAP_BW - 701 (1 - 6) along with other components
So we applied SAP_BW (700-16) thru SPAM and then decided to apply EHP1 using EHPi Installer.
But while reading the preparatory note "Note 1245473 - Add. Info. - SAP Enhancement Package Installer 7.00", it says
"Usage type BI only: At least SAP_BW SP 19 required
If you use usage type BI in your system and want to update it to enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0, make sure that at least SAP_BW Support Package 19 (included in Support Package Stack 17) is installed in your system. Make sure that you have installed SAP_BW SP 19 before you start the SAP Enhancement Package Installer."
    So what should we follow,
Should we apply the support packs till 19 manually thru SPAM and then go for the upgrade to EHP1 using EHPi?
    Thanks for your help
    Senthil

    Hello Senthil,
As a prerequisite make sure you have the minimum required support package level in the system. So please go to Sp19 first and then proceed with the EHP1 application via EHPi.

  • CRM2007 upgrade with BI 7.0 and SEM 6.0

Scenario: We currently use Opportunity Planning on CRM 4.0, (with BI 3.5 and SEM 4.0). We are upgrading to CRM2007 using only the Sales "Account and Contact Management" and Sales "Lead and Opportunity Management" scenarios in this phase.
We know that upgrade to BI 7.0 is required to support Lead and Opportunity Management and that BI 7.0 will only work with the SEM 6.0 version.  We are on ECC 5.0 and do not plan an upgrade to ECC 6.0 at this time.
Question: Can someone confirm 1) that SEM 6.0 is required with BI 7.0 and, 2) If required, can we upgrade to SEM 6.0 in conjunction with our BI upgrade versus as part of a larger upgrade to ECC 6.0 (which now includes the SEM 6.0 component)?
    Thanks
Edited by: Rick Moore on Apr 10, 2008 1:17 AM

    Hai,
    2) We do have the SEM 4.0 addon in existing BI 3.5. Where can we get the media for the SEM 6.0 upgrade so we can upgrade with BI 7.0? We have only been able to locate it packaged with ECC 6.0 media. Can we obtain it separately?---> The media can be obtained from SAP itself or else you can download the same from SAP ServiceMarketplace.
The Upgrade CDs for BI 7.0 are Netweavers2004s CDs only,it contains all the required media for upgrade of both BI and SEM simultaneously.
    3) Our ECC 5.0 does not contain any SEM component. I don't believe it is packaged with ECC until 6.0. Is that correct? Our BCS consolidation uses the SEM 4.0 component in our BI 3.5.------> We can get the SEM compoenet for ECC 5.0 also. The SEM can be more customized with BI or WAS700.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Upgrading to EHP1 SP19

    Hello,
as I m shortly before an upgrade from SP15 to EHP1 SP19 I m trying to do my homework and stumbled upon a few questions. (I already checked the blog that everyone quotes )
    1. Can I upgrade straight from SP15 to EHP1 SP19? Or will this cause too much issues, ie. should I upgrade to SP17 first before proceeding to EHP1?
    2. For those who have done the upgrade to EHP1 already... how long did the upgrade take? Including all the repairs and work after the upgrade. To get a rough glimpse at the time schedule...
    3. Can I upgrade the kernel to the 7.01 version (patch 23 I think?) before the upgrade, or is that something that I have to do during the upgrade process.
Thanks in advance for any help!
    cheers,
    Walter Greiner

I'd have to agree with Budhev.
First go to 17, then to EHP1.
    To answer your 2nd question:
    Depends on a few things
Mainly the hardware and the (inevitable) issues you stumble upon.
    It took me a while.
Especially since I upgraded to 18. (by now it's 19)
Technically you can upgrade your system within 2 or 3 days.
But including issue-resolving.....I'd reserve at least a week for it.

  • 2013 CRM Upgrade - impacts to basic configuration

I am getting ready to go through a 2011 CRM to 2013 CRM upgrade.  I am not a programmer or developer however I have been tasked with configuring the 2011 CRM application (we have CRM, proRM & xRM) and need to understand if & how those configurations
will be impacted by 2013.  When I refer to 'configurations' I am referring to the following:
System Views, Personal Views, Updated OOB forms, Processes - dialog & workflow, enable/disable buttons & Dashboards.
I've done research on 2013 CRM and there is a lot of information on the environment set up - which is in the hands of other project team members - what I am having difficulty finding is impacts to the above 'configurations'.  Any help or information
on any or all of these configurations would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

    hello,
your question is a bit broad. I will try to reply with the best of my ability.
CRM 2011 to 2013 is a bit tricky because of the changes made in .net framework, JavaScript etc. So any out of the box features like the views, forms etc will upgrade will out much issue.
based on the framework used, your custom buttons, custom workflow activities etc may need some tweaking.
easiest option would be to take a CRM 2011 database backup, restore it as a new SQL server database, use organization import wizard to convert it to a CRM 2013 instance.
the above step assumes that the plugin and JavaScript is already covered by the programmers.
let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Amarjit,
Solution manager upgrade to EHP1 is same like other stack upgrade. You can do it using SAINT/JSPM. But only thing you need is good preparation.
    Check upgrade guide on http://service.sap.com/solutionmanager.
Also, check SAP  Note 1276895 - Add. info. about Upgrading to SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 and SAP Note 1169247 - Enhancements to Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1 upgrade

  • CRM (SFA) with BI

    Hi Guys,
Any experienced guys with extracting CRM (SFA) data into BI? How different is this from the regular BI (from R/3) extractions? Can anyone mail me any docs?
    Thanks
    null

    Hi,
You can integrate the new crm system with the existing ECC and BI. Just for the sake of integration no need to upgrade the ECC and BI.
But if you think in terms of new functionalities that are provided with CRM 7.0 then we need to see.

    Hi Guru's,
My client is going for IS-U CRM Upgrade from CRM 4 to CRM 7, and I have been told to do initial assessment on SAP CRM, I need your help if you can provide me some useful tips, information or documentation related to this would really help.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Best Regards,

    Hi
Your assessment should start with the customer requirement.  What are the objectives of your client?
    - if your client wants AMI to be implemented, then you need SAP CRM 7.0 and ISU Enhancement Pack 4.
    - if your client needs customer financial supply chain management (collections, payments etc), you are good with CRM 2007 with ISU Enhancement Pack 2.
