Crop and resize images on iPhone - app recommendations?

Does anyone know of a photo-editing app for iPhone that lets you crop an image and also resize to a preferred pixel ratio?
On my Mac at home I use Photoshop for this (setting the crop-to width at 500 px and then simply cropping the part of the image I want to use), but it would be super-handy if I could load the high-res images onto my iPhone and do it on the move.
I tried the Photoshop app, but although it lets you crop, there doesn't seem to be a resize function.
Any ideas?

Hi Jennifer, I guess It's not possible do what I want directly from iPhone.
My problem is pinch to small size and keep it then and send to Instagram. When I double tap the image enlarge, so I double tap again and the image go back to normal size. When I pinch to small size that I want and leave my fingers the image goes back to regular size.
I'm reading others foruns and I guess I have to use some app to post 3:4 photo, like Squaready. I'm trying and seems It work. It need to resize and crop and make all adjustments.

I am trying to edit pictures for my web site and previously used adobe photo shop 4 which I liked very well. When I try to crop and resize in photoshop 12 have been unable to adjust the images using pixels. As every photo on my website needs to be in pixels then this is a big problem for me! Anyway to crop and resize photo within the COD webdynpro java component in ESS?

No what i mean is how to allow the user to upload a photo using the COD service but also allow them to crop and resize the image as documented here:

The solution above does not use the webdynpro COD service in ESS, it is a portal component with embedded JavaScript which also only stores the photo on portal only (not the infotype in ECC). I guess I need to figure out how to add these javascript files to the webdynpro COD service in ESS. Although I don't think Webdynpro Java allows you to add javascript.

Ive never used that but I think there is a find ipod app. But im not sure. The ipod might have had to have it on?

Upload and Resize Image not inserting filename in database

I have a form that I created using the insert record form wizard. One of the fields is a file field and my form enctype is set to multipart/form-data. I then used the upload and resize image behavior and set the parameters. When testing the form the file uploads to the correct directory but no entry is made into the database for that particular field. The other fields are entered into the database just fine. If it helps, here is the code generated before the tag:

If the reason is about memory, warning message should be happened when upload the image, because "show thumbnail" means resize at second time, how come you failed to resize the picture that system let it upload succeed at the first time by the same resize process?

upload condition: fixed width 330px, 1.5mb
"upload and resize" a.jpg -> file upload -> "resize engine" -> passed (but not work and no warning message)
"show thumbnail" a.jpg -> "resize engine" -> failed (not enough memory)
it doesn't make sense.
and you miss an important key point, I upload the same picture myself, and resize work, so I said it happened at random, and that's why I am so worried.

Video Crop and Resize

Not sure if this is a bug but it's frustrating! I'm using the
Mac version of Flash CS3. I set everything up correctly to crop a
video clip (dragging the sliders in the 'Crop and Resize' tab). I
then start the queue etc. The resulting flv has NOT cropped as I
specified?? I get strange sizes, distortions etc. This also happens
by direct import to the stage (embed or external).
Also I find that I need to check the 'Resize Video' check box
even if I don't want to resize the video to get Flash to import at
the correct size of the original! This renders the cropping tool
useless. Any ideas anyone?

I've since done some tests. The issue appears to be related
to the source video and not the Flash Video Encoder, particularly
the compression format. I have a set of clips at the same size but
the compression formats are different (I checked the movie
properties in QuickTime). Sorenson versions seem to crop and resize
OK, but the DV format doesn't.
At least the Flash side of things are fine.

Crop and Resize video in AME at the same time !

Hi everybody
I'm new to Adobe Media Encoder CS4, used to encode with Flash Video Encoder.
It seems that is it impossible with AME CS4 to crop and resize a video at the same time.
In input i have a 1280*720 video, that I first resize to obtain the desired height (300px)
so i obtain a 533*300 video,but when i would like to crop it in the same operation, that's not work, it doesn't keep the height i want (300px)
If I start by cropping my video, i obtain a 538*683 video, but i can't resize after, because the width and height in right panel are in grey, inaccessible.
In Flash Video Encoder (with Flash 8) it was possible to do this 2 operations at the same time, why doesn't this work in AME CS4 ?

Crop and Straighten Images Settings

I'm trying to use Photoshop CS5 to crop and straighten images of postage stamps. E.g., place a bunch of stamps on the scanner bed and scan them as one image. Then use Automate/Crop and Straighten Photos to create separate workspaces each with a single stamp image, cropped and rotated appropriately. This almost works; the problem is it often crops the stamps too closely, cutting off the perforations.
Here are a few once cropped.
So is there a way to set the border? Thanks in advance.

Using paths and the stroke paths function, like in this video, should get you
decent results with the crop and straighten function.

Why have you removed all the functionality from the crop tool. I used to size images in Bridge, now to get specific size crops I'd need to go to Photoshop. Adding more resize options to the bottom only affects the whole image, and 100% of finished images I output are cropped, and obviously not by the same amount, doing any scale to fit at the bottom means differently finished crops. AAAAAR%GH!!!! I have had to revert to CS 6 for workflow. And why has the Output module gone? I used to output different sizes of the same thing for web and print.

Automated cropping and resizing with user interaction

Dear all,
after hours of tests with batch processing and search in the internet maybe somebody of you can help me:
I have roughly 3000 jpgs. in one folder (all different sizes and proportions), and I need all of them cropped to a specific proportion (width:height = 4:3) and then resized to a specific size (e.g. 800 x 600px). Batch processing can do a lot, but one critical step is not possible: As soon as one picture has been loaded into PS, I need a user interaction to determine the crop area freely (size and position) before the rest of the process (cropping, resizing and saving) can run automatically again.
For example a picture of 2000 x 1000 px: The"crop window" lets me to choose an arbitrary area concering size and position (i.e.at 20px from the left, and 10 px from the top, size 1000 x 750 px = fixed aspect ratio - and different for each picture), then the cropped area is resized to 800 x 600px, then it is saved.(Similar to the marquee tool with fixed aspect ratio)
The crucial act is the interaction with the "proportional cropping". If the resizing is not possible in the first step, I coudl also do this with a second batch run myself.
If somebody can help me, I would be very glad....

Adobe Media Encoder CS5 - Can we crop and resize at the same time?

Flash 8's video encoder, use to let you crop (cut x amount of pixels out) and then resize a video (and in that order it did it).
CS5's Media Encoder is confusing, from what I can tell it cannot do both, you either can crop or resize but not both. ANd if you can do both, you definately cant crop before the resize. So which is it?
Resizing made sense last, because you could put in new values for the resize nad figure out how much you need to crop out.
Please help this is driving me insane.

We really need an alternative to AME both because of the crop/resize problem and many other seamingly random issues with preview and export.

Where can I find a SIMPLE program to layer and resize images on my Air?

I've downloaded the GIMP & looked at Seashore, Inkscape, Sketchbook, and Paintbrush. All I want to do is resize images (paintings and drawings, not photos), sharpen the contrast in some of them, and MAYBE layer floral drawings over some text background--the programs I mention having looked at/tried seem far too complex for what I want to do, and I just get lost trying to figure them out (and reading the user manuals!).

Is this an older "round" version of the AirPort Extreme? If yes, it is true that AirPort Utility 6.x no longer supports the older AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express models.
A model number......located on the bottom of the Extreme or on the side of the Express would be helpful to confirm what you have.
Apple probably does want you to buy a new AirPort Extreme.
The workaround might be to use a Mac or PC running a 5.x version of AirPort Utility.
A more complicated workaround would be to install AirPort Utility 5.6 on Mountain Lion. This is not supported by Apple......it does work for me.....but may not work for you. See this article for more details:

Cropping and Combining Images

Is there a way to take multiple images (i.e. congruent squares of a map) and crop and combine them to form one image of a given size?
For example, if the user asks for a map of a certain area with a bounding box of 40 to 57 (x) and 33 to 50 (y), I want to return an image made up of individual smaller squares from the map database cropped to cover only those coordinates. Unforturnately the map in our database is a series of squares each 10 by 10 (i.e. (0-10, 0-10), (10-20, 0-10), and so on). So I need some way to take the (40-50, 30-40), (50-60,30-40),(40-50, 40-50), and (50-60,40-50) images and combine and crop them to make an image that covers only (40-57,33-50).
Is there a class somewhere that allows for such an operation, or if not, does anyone know an easy way to do this?

I'll assume you are looking to create an arbitrary rectangular image from a domain of rectangular images that collectively form a contiguous grid. Right?
This is a fairly simple problem to solve...
1. Create a BufferedImage with bounds equal to your bounding box. Then create a Graphics2D from the BufferedImage via BufferedImage.createGraphics().
2. Determine the images in the database that intersect your bounding box.
3. For each intersecting image determine the portion of the image that is contained in the bounding box. Then translate each image portion's coordinates to your bounding rectangle's coordinates.
4. Using the graphics from step 1 call Graphics.drawImage() to render each image portion to the BufferedImage using the translated coordinates.
5. The BufferedImage is now an in memory representation of your bounding box selection.
