Cropping in a larger view
I work with insect photos. Sometimes it is difficult to crop down to the insect in the "fit" view. Is there a way to crop when in the 1:1 or 2:1 view? Thanks for your help.
One workaround may help somewhat, assuming your insect is not located near the edge of the overall photo:
in the Manual tab of the Lens Corrections panel, is a Scale option. This magnifies or reduces the whole image content, up to a maximum of 150%, within the "window" of the picture boundary.
Your crop boundary would still be able to select the same extent taken from the original picture data, but could now at least be doing so within a 50% more "magnified" view of the image (though I agree with others that being able to zoom in the more usual way during cropping / straightening, would be a great addition to the software).
This extract may look a little coarser on screen while you work on it in Lightroom - e.g. 1:1 pixel view would no longer be truly 1:1 - because of the scaled up on-screen preview. But if this is then exported to the same target output dimension (number of pixels) or else printed to the same final size, as it otherwise would have been - then this workaround should AFAICT have made no practical difference in the final result.

Windows 7 Large View Auto Cache
Hi Guys,
I have a client that uses Windows 7 that has a folder on his network share that contains approx 2000 jpg images. He has set his view to Large View because this way he is presented with a thumbnail image preview of each and every single one of his image,
which is handy because this way he does not have to open each file to view it's contents.
Problem is that in order for the thumbnail preview to appear for each image, he has to continuously scroll vertically page by page and waits for each image preview to load but it's done everything is Ok
Issue is that every time he restarts his PC he has to go through the above process of continuously scrolling vertically page by page to load each thumbnail image preview, which is extremely painful for him considering he has 2000+ images in his network
shared folder.
My question is, once all the image preview are loaded doesn't Windows 7 cache all those thumbnail image views so that way the user doesn't have to go through the process of loading each thumbnail image preview every time they restart their PC?
I've seen a few reports out on the Internet stating that this is a known issue for Windows 7
Is anyone able to help?

How to assign template design to 'Large View' of products
My template design works with the catalogues and lists all the products fine, but when you click a product for the large view/extra info etc, the template is all over the place. I realise this is because the template isn't set up for the extra elements in the product section, but I can't see how to add a new template to them.

Insert product into page in large view
Hello all, is there any way to insert a full product into a page? When inserting a product, it renders in small view.
If this can't be done, then is there a way to assign the template used when the "Click for more details" link is clicked? Currently, in the page where I have displayed a product (small view), I'm using a non default page template. However, when I click on the link to view the product in large view, it renders using the site's default page template. I want it to render using the same custom template as the small product.The layout the product uses is that of the catalog's template.
If you do not define a template to use on the catalog it will either not have one or if set default will render the default. Change that there.
If you want something different you can not choose the template per product that it uses and there is no BC way to change this.
You would have to ajax in content into a page and modify the css of the loaded html to achieve this. -
Thumbnails Missing in Vista Explorer Large & Extra Large View
I've noticed that thumbnail images are missing in the Vista explorer (View > Large/Extra Large Icon). I used to see a preview image in the explorer window without having to launch Acrobat Reader version 7.xxxx. I never use the preview pane, it was never necessary when the thumbnails provided a quick look inside the PDF document.
However, after installing version 8.1.1, these thumbnail images have disappeared and are now replaced by the generic Acrobat icon which came with the latest version. What's with that??? Do we HAVE TO upgrade from the free reader version to the pay version to get these previews?
This is not a Vista problem! This happened just after installing Reader 8. Images such as bitmaps, Photoshop psd files, png's, video mpg's, mpeg's and wmv's, for example, all display thumbnail images of the content in a Vista explorer folder window. But the PDF files only show the generic icon.

Cover art view in windows 7 for itunes 11.1.5.5. No large view option?
In version 11.1.5.5 I can no longer view artwork of the song playing in a large format. I used to be able to ctrl left click and get the artwork in adjustable size but mini player max size is tiny! Can I get artwork in large size now?

I can use stored outlines but this is the last chance. I am playing with hints right now to produce desired plan with no result yet.
Does anybody know how to insist Oracle to merge internal views to bigger query block, so Oracle can choose better plan?
Or any guide what hints to use from ol$hints to get desired result via hints addition to original sql query (thanks God application don't cut hints just pass-through to Oracle)?

Images look blurry in small, medium and large view in ADE
Hi,
I am working on creating an ePub compatible on ADE, iPad, Kobo and Mobi. I have fixed the issue of image overlapping in ADE view by keeping the width as 100%, but the image looks very blurry on ADE.
Does anybody advise?

SathishIt may sound counter-intuitive, but could you try disabling graphics hardware acceleration? Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You usually need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "General" mini-tab, uncheck the box for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If you restart Firefox, is the issue resolved? -
Help i clicked something and now my big wont show up big.. its there but black.. you can see the names that are tagged but no pic.. ive tried view ect but nothing
There are several possible causes for the Black Screen issue
1. Permissions in the Library: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Include the option to check and repair permissions.
2. Minor Database corruption: Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild.
3. A Damaged Photo: Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and right click on it. From the resulting menu select 'Show File (or 'Show Original File' if that's available). (On iPhoto 11 this option is under the File -> Reveal in Finder.) Will the file open in Preview? If not then the file is damaged. Time to restore from your back up.
4. A corrupted iPhoto Cache: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto folder from HD/Users/Your Name/ Library/ Caches...
5. A corrupted preference file: Trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder. (Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
If none of these help: As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there? -
Exclamation mark on large view, but file still there?

I've seen a few other people with this problem, but I seem to have a different variant. I have a new computer, new iPhoto library. For a small number of photos when I double click on a thumbnail it shows a black screen with an exclamation mark. This problem only seems to effect photos from one event which have been rotated (the dates have been adjusted on the photos as the camera had the wrong date).
- I tried rebuilding the iphoto library as suggested and that didn't fix the problem.
- When I search for the filename of any of the effected photos I find them on my drive, in the iphoto library. If I try and drag and drop the file onto iPhoto it wont do it, telling me that its already in the library.
- If I try and edit one of the effected photos they appear at large size on the screen.
- If I rotate these photos back to the original orientation the problem remains.
Any suggestions as to how to fix this would be appreciated. Its only effecting about half a dozen photos, so a manual method is feasible. However, I don't want to start the iphoto library from scratch as I've just tagged the 8000+ photos and don't want to do that again.sellings
Try selecting the affected pics and going Photos -> Revert to Original. Then try rotate them again.

Illustrator CS5 - why can't I drag my document window to a larger view?
When trying to expand my document window by dragging a corner, upon letting go it snaps back to an even smaller window view. It is driving me crazy, is anyone else experiencing this? (I use a Wacom tablet, too.)
I had this problem on Windows 8.1.1 and iTunes 11.2.2.3
To resolve it from within Itunes I did : Edit, Preferences, Sharing.
I took the tick out of "Share my library on my local network"
Click OK.
Closed iTunes/
Reopened iTunes and I can drag and drop.
I went back into Edit, Preferences, Sharing and put the tick back and clicked OK.
Works fine now. -
I am designing an interactive catalog in a pdf. Is it possible to have the images as a thumbnail and then click them to enlarge the image and then click again to make them go back to the original size?

Here's a button created from a small version of the image (notice that it's selected in the image below):
The small button has a Show/Hide Buttons and Forms action. It's action is to make the Larger Image visible (eyeball turned on) with the small image hidden (eyeball turned off).
The large image is also turned into a button (shown below):
Notice the checkbox "Hidden Until Triggered". The large button is hidden until it's triggered by the small button. Clicking on the large image also causes a Show/Hide action which shows the Small button and hides the large button. -
How to display Call list Large view as the initial view dynamically.
My requiremet is that
1) User chooses a call list -> then clicks display calls -> then clicks Calls Full view
Now ClmCallListDetailsLarge View is displayed
2) Now the user chooses a call and then prceeds to Account confirmation, Interaction Record and then ends the call.
3) Now when the Call list is choosen from navigation bar Available 'ClmAvailbleCallLists' View is displayed, but the requirement is to display 'ClmCallListDetailsLarge' view.
4) There is some standard code related to this in 'DO_REPLACE_INITIAL_VIEW' method of the window controller. but this method is not getting triggered at all.
Please let me know how this can be achievedThanks for idea.
