Cropping preview does not match output, constrained sizes.

I have two separate problems with the Crop tool. The first is that the crop preview does not match the what shows up after I exit crop mode.
Screen shot of to the preview: tinyurl.com/o9qxcy
After hitting "done": tinyurl.com/prtsrw
What is really strange is that I can work around this by expanding the crop size to almost the full size (less ~1 pixel off the bottom) and iMovie crops to the width of the original clip. If I expand it to full size of the preview area the crop still slices to the width, but it is then centered.
The second problem is that cropping will not let me expand the crop beyond a certain size. I have no work-around for this.
Screenshot of the max size I can select with the crop tool: tinyurl.com/pjqjno
Both of these happen both the project area and the clips drawer.

Bump.

Hello. I am facing a very strange issue that I have never seen before. When I connect to a remote host, the host's screen does not match my client screen, and instead spills over into two monitors. This happens in full screen mode. When switching to windowed
mode, only a portion of the remote host shows, the rest is a black screen.
I would love to post example pics but this site wont let me until I verify my account, but I have no email asking me to do so...

    A few notes:
    - I have tried a restart.
    - I am running two displays, one is the built in 1440x900, one is an external 1920x1200
    - I am on OSX10.10.1
    - RDP is 8.0.12
    - I have tested this against Windows 7 Pro machines
    - This was working fine a week ago, just started this week.

  • Preview does not match printing

When I print a pages document it often leaves out graphics or text boxes. I check to make sure photo is in front and even delete photo and re position it. The image shows in preview but does not print. I sent the document as a PDF to a PC and the image printed correctly.

    Hi McJPP,
You're using one of the built in color setups for Photoshop, so no big deal there. Since you have your monitor properly calibrated and profiled, ColorSync shouldn't be having an issue handling the difference between the image's color space and your monitor's. Questions though. Is the image RGB? Does it have an embedded profile? If so, is it Adobe RGB 1998? I'm assuming that it does since that's your working RGB color space in Photoshop.
The grab on the left is the preview copy using:
By preview, do you mean the Preview button on the print dialogue box at the bottom left next the the PDF button? I'm guessing yes since I can produce the same kind of result. It's a bit hard to explain, but I'll try.
I took a simple grayscale image and made it RGB. I then did the same thing you did. Left image is Photoshop handling color for an Epson Stylus Pro 4000, using a profile I made for a DuPont paper. Then clicking the Preview button when the print dialogue comes up. Right image is letting the printer handle color and clicking Preview. The result is below.
Believe it or not, there's nothing wrong. Photoshop (more accurately, ColorSync) is showing you what it had to do to the pixel color values to adjust for how the inks perform on the chosen paper. The end result, with proper profiles, is that the printed image looks like what you see in Photoshop regardless of how it shows in Preview mode. The Epson driver doesn't make this visible cue even though you've turned ColorSync on there, so it simply shows you the same thing you see in Photoshop, even though it's making the same adjustment to the pixel color values.
You should get essentially the same final output no matter which way you print the image.

  • Color in Folio Preview does not match color in Workspace

I'm a beginner trying to make a layout of several images. The source images are PDF's and I want to eventually save the layout as a new PDF. When I bring the images into my layout, the color in the workspace is identical to the color in the source PDF's. However, if I do Folio Preview, the color is slightly different. If I Export the layout to PDF, then the resulting PDF's colors match the Folio Preview but not the source images. I've tried disabling all the Color Management I could find, but I am a beginner and clearly have not found the necessary settings. Appreciate any help.

Folio Preview is only for Digital Publishing Suite output and isn't the best way to preview. The most accurate color can be see if you choose View > Overprint Preview. You DON'T want to disable color management, in fact, I don't think you really can.

  • Bridge preview does not match thumbnails

We've just updated the OS, and had to re-install Bridge and Photoshop (CS4). Unfortunately, the preview doesn't match the thumbnail in Bridge, nor does it match the file when I open it in Photoshop. As far as I am aware, they are both set to the same color space. I have also toggled the "Apply auto tone adjustments" box on and off in preferences, and it seems to make no difference.
This seems to be a new problem that has only occured since upgrading the OS.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  • Why does my Premiere preview video not match output video? Colors, sharpening, saturation, etc.

The right side is Premiere. The left side is Windows Media Player. My export settings are attached.
WTF? The actual output is way more grainy, oversharpened, higher contrast, and oversaturated. The same thing happens when played with VLC and YouTube.

The problem is you're not using a properly calibrated external TV to judge the quality of the video.  You really need that stable reference.  Computer monitors and software players just won't do.
Computer monitors are more than up to the task of judging end results of encodes and exports.  The encode the O.P  is producing,  is for the purpose of display  on a computer monitor.  What value is using a "TV" for this purpose? Definitely do not use a CRT TV for any QC purpose.  CRT tubes even on the best of reference monitors had a useable reliable life for QC purposes of about 2 years.  They have not been produced for a lot longer than that now.
You may have a point about the various software players.
    @the O.P
Do you check your export by using the OUTPUT TAB in the Media Encoder?
Your settings appear to be perfect for the purpose (as long as you have Un Checked the 'Use Previews' setting)
If this is checked it uses the NLE preview files to encode your export.
What was your second screen grab taken from?

  • Data in spool file does not match output.

This is a strange issue, and I'm not even sure it's a problem in SAP, but I don't know where else to ask and haven't found anything like it online:
We create pick lists on dot matrix printers.  Occasionally, the output is missing a digit or character - for example in the middle of the delivery number.  If delivery number is 81234567, the dot matrix output might be 8123467.  The SAP spool file is not missing any data.  And the paper dot matrix output is never skewed nor looks like it has jammed or "hiccuped".  There is no space where the missing piece of data should be - it's all run together nice and neat.  It occurs on different bits of data (sometimes, delivery#, name, batch, etc.), and it occurs on different printers at different sites.  So far, it has always been only one digit or character missing every time it occurs.  Reprint from the spool and it comes out fine.
So, SAP data is correct, and it occurs on different printers.  Maybe it's a network issue?  A printer buffer issue - but it happens on two different units, and that would be a weird coincidence.  I really have no ides.  Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
    Thanks,
    Anke

    Hello -
Difficult to answer accurately here as no access to spool data on the affected system and exact methods used. But, perhaps if you can print the RAW (OTF) data to a fileprinter and send that as a .txt file to the printer hardware vendor they could investigate why certain characters do not print.
    Regards.

  • Preview Does Not Match Render

I am trying to replace one of the credits in a pre-built roll. I have the original credits captured from HDCAM 1080 23.98 psf 10 bit uncompressed on v1. On v2 I have a black square that covers up the line I want to change. And on line 3 I am going to put the next text. The problem is, the placement of the black changes by almost an entire line when i render the sequence. I have made sure all my render settings are set to the highest quality. Why is Final Cut preview so inaccurate as to make what should be a simple task nearly impossible?

Do you mean that your placement of black after it is rendered changes by a 'credit' line, or is it a 'pixel' line? Have you checked your sequence settings so that they are matching the correct resolution and aspect for your footage? Are you having to render your original video on the timeline without adding any extra layers or effects?

  • Muse Horizontal Preview does not match Design

I am having an issue with the preview (in safari on mac and pc) not working correctly. The length of the site pages are working on longer pages, but not shorter pages. Everything is working fine on IE on my pc. I am attaching screen shots of the design and preview pages; and the existing site can be viewed at www.deklintech.com. I have been working on this for quite some time and have not been able to find a fix. Hopefully someone will be able to help?

    Hi Pamela,
Can you please uncheck sticky footer from the site properties, because if sticky footer is enabled it stretches the length of the page so that the footer is always at the bottom of the screen.
    Regards,

  • Button active area does not match Photoshop layer size

I have created several text-only buttons for a menu using Photoshop. When I reveal the active area in Encore, usually the bounding box for the active area is correct and goes right around the text, but for several of the buttons, the bounding box is way wider than the text. There is a simple graphical highlight that is also part of each layer group, but the bounding box is way larger than where that appears. There is nothing in any layer in the button group that accounts for the extreme width of the bounding box for the button in Encore. Any ideas?
I have deleted the offending button groups and copied one that didn't have the problem, only to have the same extra-large bounding-box appear. Quite strange.

All right, I finally got around to looking at this again, and, as expected (by me, even) there was a stray pixel or something in the highlight layer. I did a ⌘-T to get a transform bounding box in PS, and saw that for the highlight layer, it went way off to the left. Weird. So I then highlighted the area where I thought it might be and applied a Hue/Saturation to see if I could bring it out a little, since I couldn't see it. I tried raising and lower the brightness with a transparent background, a white background, and a black background. I couldn't see it on any background, even zoomed in to 800%. I still don't know what it was, but I just drew a marquee around the highlight that I wanted, inverted the selection and deleted, and now the bounding box for the button is as it should be in Encore.
The extra weird thing is that this seemed to happen on random buttons in my design. In PS, I would create a new button group by duplicating the one above it, then move it straight down below the previous button. I replaced the text and then moved the highlight a bit to the left or the right to be in the correct spot in relation to the new bit of text. And that duplicted layer group which had the correct bounding box with no extraneous bits in the highlight layer would then all of a sudden have the incorrect bounding box and apparently some little bit that PS could see, though I couldn't. Strange.
So, still a bit mysterious, but thanks for your help and ideas.

Printing a photo directly from iPhoto ('08) does not match the color on screen. Using an Epson 2200.
The colors are dark and saturated. Maybe the problem is setting color management in the advanced dialog box- I have it set to: "No Color Adjustment" as per Epson.
Is there a setting that is recommended? I can't find any help in help.
I'm well aware of color management problems printing via Photoshop with the Epson printer.

  • Output map: Document Type does not match any of the given schemas

On a send port, we have a map that uses a custom xslt. We were hoping to somehow design the map so the output was essentially a generic xs:any schema.  But unless we ad a reference from our map assembly to the assembly that holds the actual schema for
the message pertaining to the map out put we get an error:
The Messaging Engine failed while executing the outbound map for the message going to the destination URL "C:\BizTalk\Test\%MessageID%.xml"
with the Message Type http://test#testmessage. Details:"Document type "outputtest#outputtestmessage" does not match any of the given schemas.
Is there a way to avoid having to have the reference?

    Hi ,
In BizTalk messages are distinct from each other based on the message type . In your case http://test#testmessage (Namespace#RootNode)
Now coming to your case have you verified whether you have a schema type matching the response is deployed with the solution. The easy way is to look into specific BizTalk application schema node .
If not ,What you can do is to create a new schema for output having "TestMessage" as record and any element inside it. After that apply a mass copy
funtiod from source t destination(in your case any type schema created).
    Thanks

    Class loading error: Wrong name
The jar size value in the Application Descriptor does not match the real jar file size.
It's perfectly working for all the other applications .I tried to change the jar size in the jad file but it's not working.

Yes, the obfuscator does not change the size value after finishing. You have to do it yourself.
