  • ALV - To diferrentiate client specific and cross client data

    Hi,
In an ALV grid , i am suppose to show the client specific data  and cross client data. I dont know how to differentiate these 2 type of records. Is there any standard icons available to differentiate cross client and client specific data.
    Refards,
    Jey

    > Its fine, is there any other way  to differenitate these 2 by some icons.
It is up to you to differentiate them using Icons or may be coloring differently...
Based on the Client you can populate the icon/color information.

  • Cross-client Consolidation Statement

    Hello friends,
    I have a requirement.
I have a situation where two company codes are working in different clients.  They are using different chart of accounts also.
I want to make out a strategy for creating a consolidated Financial statement of these two companies.  Currently it is being met through a manual process.  But I want to do it through the system only without any manual intervention.  How can I go about with this requirement.  Your valuable responses will be highly appreciated with reward points.

  • Cross client tables

    Hi,
I am trying to authorize a user for maintaining the cross client tables with SM30.
I have added the Authorization object S_TABU_CLI with the change permission and regenerated
the profile and assigned to the user. But the user is still unable to maintain the cross client tables
like V_DDAT. How to enable a user to maintain cross client tables.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ramakrishna.

One thing. I saw in your response that you have not assigned an authorization group on S_TABU_DIS?
This is necessary, as the system always checks on the auth group.
If the table is not classified in TDDAT, it will check against &NC&.
Tables are protected through S_TABU_DIS for client-dependant tables AND S_TABU_CLI as extra protection fro cross-client tables.

  • Split database to client specific and cross client

    Hi
Do we have a known method to split an existing MaxDB database into two .
    1. Client Specific database
    2. Cross client database
    Thanks and Regards
    Sri

What you can do is to use TDMS (Test Data Migration Server), it´s a separate product and it enable you to setup test/training systems with a reduced amount of production data.
This system makes use of technologies to determine, whether a table is client depend and client independent.
Your problem is, that the client specific data NEEDS the cross client data, it relies on the customizing, that is cross client.
If your pupose is to e. g. extract some kind of data because parts of your company was sold or if you bought a new company, then you should contact the SLO group (http://service.sap.com/slo) that does those kinds of "separations" too.
From a technical level, it´s certainly possible but wihtout knowing your initial intent why you want to do that, one can give just advises, what we "think" what the reason might be.

  • Project data cross client

    Dear all,
We are implementing SolMan, and have created two client, one for testing and the other for product.
    There is a problem,
When I create a project in the test client, it (the project) appears in the product client.
so does the project data cross client?
then how about user testing in the project level?

    Dear Friend,
If you want to post some TEST tickets yes you can do so without worrying yes it is client dependent
E.g I have One server with clients - DEV 100 and Qual 300
If I post a ticket in dev 100 client its invisible in Qual 300 client.
So I think i clarifies your doubt you assign pts and close the thread if your doubt is resolved.

  • Repository or Cross-client Customization

    Hi Experts,
I am planning to creating a Generic DataSource in R/3 (SPO2) to fetch data to BW. Just wanted to know whether it is a Repository changes or Cross-Client changes? How to differentiate between a repository or Cross-Client changes?
    Thanks in advance.

    HI Pankaj,
Thanks. That's exactly what i was looking for. An extension to the original question - I create the DataSources in Client A, so i'll not be visible to me if i logged in from Client B?
    Thanks.

  • Cross-Empire Data Migration - DST?

We are still evaluating NSM 3.0.4 Cross-Empire Data Migration....
It looks like the migration doesn't work with Dynamic Shadow Technology (DST) shadow volumes....
I thought that seeing as the NSM Engine and/or Agent doing the migration has to have the Novell client installed that it would be able to migrate from both the primary and shadow volumes...
However, our initial testing shows that it is ignoring the shadow based data...
Is this an oversight? Use of incorrect/outdated API?
Has anyone else any experience of this? We have rather a larger amount of data in our shadow volumes....!
    Cheers

    Thanks in advance

    Cross Client :
Under SAP Technical Systems, Cross client customizing will provide <b>data to all the clients</b>..hence it is  applicable for all the <b>repository objects</b> under difeerent modules such as FI - Finance, CO - Accounting, MM - Material Management, SD - Sales and Distribution....
different clients such as 100 - Developing, 200 Testing, 300 - Quality, 400 - Production and  999 - Sand box......., the data can be trasnferred easily
i hope this information is useful to u...

  • How to create a cross-client table maintenance dialog?

    Hello everybody,
I have a client specific table (mandt is the first key field) that should be maintained cross-client: In the table maintenance dialog, I want to change/create/insert values belonging to clients other than the current logon client. Can I do this with a generated maintenace dialog? If yes, how?
Thank you for your help, regards, Kathrin!

    Hi Kathrin,
I think you can't, you must create your own dialog maintenance program.
They are some program to copy data from client to others .. but never seen any dialog cross client. (or remove the mandt  in your key).

  • Client export for ABAP programs, repository objects cross client objects

    Hello,
Let me first explain the scenario here. Our Development system crashed we are rebuilding the development system from a client export of the production. Client does not want migration etc so the only way we want to do it is through client export.
Now the question is whether cross client objects can really be imported through client export KT, KO, KX requests?
I thought it was possible but after successfully importinng the client export (which was taken using profile SAP_EXPC) of the Production client all the customizing has been imported but non of the ABAP programs have been imported.
Can anyone explain how this is done and if it is possible?
    Steps I performed:
1] Exported Production client with profile SAP_EXPC
2] Imported the 3 requests KT, KO, KX using command line
    tp import <KT req> <SID> U2 client=<my client> pf=<profile path>
    tp import <KX req> <SID> U2 client=<my client> pf=<profile path>
    tp import <KO req> <SID> U2 client=<my client> pf=<profile path>
3] After successful import ran scc7 which finished successfully
    Thank you

You can transport client independent customizing, read sap note [24853 - CC-INFO: Client copy, functionality|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/24853].
But you cannot transport abap repository objects (abap programs) with a client copy.
Can you explain what you mean by "Our Development system crashed". If you still can happily do client copies to that system, then i really wonder what you mean by crashed...
    Cheers Michael

  • Invisible client data MAM30

    hi all,
    we want to use MAM30:
    Backend: ERP 2005
    Middleware: NW2004s (MI 7.0) SP 15
    Client: MI 70 SP 15 Patch 1, DB2e, XMAM30_LAPTOP_SR05
our problem is, that we cannot see any data in the XMAM30 - application.
but: with http://localhost:4444/XMAM30_LAPTOP_SR05/start_full.jsp we can see that there are data in the client - database.
there are orders, notifications , and so on, they seem to be ok.
090 - usercustomizing has one TOP but no items
after two days of reading notes and threads we have no idea how to solve this problem
maybe one of you can help us?
    thanx!

    hi chintan,
    thank you for reply!
    1. Can you see the data when you execute the GETLIST wrapper from your backend?
yes, we get data ie with MAM30_001_GETLIST ....
    2. Also its necessary to install Db2E before xMAM installation.
yes, we did install db2 before xmam - using a sequence-number
    3. Can you see the data in your middleware after you sync in merep_mon transaction?
yes, we see data with merep_mon, there are no errors.
    4. Try restting the client data and sync once again.....
    we did - doesnt help
we see data in the folder C:\Programme\SAP Mobile Infrastructure\data and we see data with the link
    http://localhost:4444/XMAM30_LAPTOP_SR05/start_full.jsp
in the client trace we see some actions for "User: (SHARED)" - maybe this is wrong?
i'm not sure what the right settings in MCD should be ...
please reply if you have any more ideas, thanx a lot!

  • How to display client date in oracle

    Hi All,
How to display client system date in oracle. When I try to display date & time oracle displays server date and time but I need to display client date & time. How can I achieve that?
    Thank you

    user536769 wrote:
How to display client system date in oracle. When I try to display date & time oracle displays server date and time but I need to display client date & time. How can I achieve that?As Nicolas says, you can't easily do this.
The reason is that the SQL engine (and the PL/SQL engine) are processes running on the database server and so they pick up the server date/time. Those processes, running on that server have no knowledge of "client" machines and no way to connect to them. Network security ensures that one machine can't just get onto another machine and access it's operating system without any form of authorisation, hence the only way to achieve this is to have some way for the server to serve a java applet or some such thing to the client and the client user accept that applet to run on their machine and then that applet obtains the relevant details and passes it back to the server.
Imagine if you wanted to write code on your client machine to go to you colleagues client machine and get the date/time from it, how easy would that be to do without your colleague authorising some part of your software to run on his machine?
    ;)
