Cross reference not working properly in epub exported from IDCC
Hi,
I'm not sure whether this is a known issue within ID so forgive me for bringing it up if it is. I couldn't find any satisfying answer on this forum, hence my question.
It seems that cross references between the xhtml-docs created from split ID document during the epub export don't work properly. They link to the text anchors specified as relative links. My editor uses software compliant to many e-reader platforms that removes all the relative links between the xhtml files within any epub and replaces them by absolute hyperlinks (http://). The result is... broken links all over. Their specification asks for the the anchor entires in the content.opf file instead of the relative links. Is there a way to work it out in InDesign and have the content.opf file contain the navigation to the anchors in xhtml files within the epub?
I'm working with IDCC 9.1 btw. Would appreciate any help...
Kind regards, Kasia
Hi,
Not sure exactly where you gone wrong.
If you want the running sum to start from beginning for each YEAR and each LINES. Use this
=RunningSum([Sales revenue]; ([Year];[Lines])) => Need Square brackets around Year and Lines. This forum site doesn't display square bracket correctly
If you want the running sum to start from beginning only for each LINES (regardless of YEARS). Use this
=RunningSum([Sales revenue]; ([Lines]))
Not sure why you added ROW in your functions. Hope this help. Works for me, just tested using my efashion with the same structure are yours.
Regards,
Ken

I have tried to change the trackpad settings, but still doesn´t work.
Can anyone help me???You are still under warranty. Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.

VS 2013 template with references not working properly
I'm trying to create a set of templates that contain references to dlls. When I create a project with references and then export it the references are saved into the template but the files aren't copied.
I have created a class that implements iWizard and copies the remaining file types (.dll, .xml etc.) in the correct folder when you create a new template. This is also working.
Now the problem was that I needed the project to know that it should use the dlls that are copied into the project folder. So I edited the .vbproj file and inserted the path manually, i.e. I found the reference tags and removed the path information so they
only referred to the file itself. Like this:
<Reference Include="MyDll"><HintPath>MyDll.dll</HintPath></Reference>
This workaround is almost working. VS finds the dlls and lets me use them, but only if I go to project -> properties and then clock on the reference tab. The classes are not recognized until I do this. I get the usual type or class not defined error
until I simply click on the reference tab in project properties.
It seems to me that I have missed a step when I was doing my workaround and Visual Studio completes it when I click on references. I just don't know what that is or what a good alternative to my solution would be.Hi Mongan,
I have been researching this issue these days. You can check whether there are some differences in MyTemplate file and the project file before and after you click the references tab in project properties? Maybe you will get some information.
In addition, I doubt maybe you missed something in your iWizard extension. the following link introduced detailed ways and code to create project template using IWizard interface, you can reference it to check whether it can help you.
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/391989/Working-with-Project-Template-and-Wizard-Extension
The following threads suggested adding the project reference in the ProjectFinishedGenerating() method to add a reference to project template:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/f57d8eed-ba7a-4e82-bed4-1dd4b8a3a288/custom-wizard-adding-references-dlls-to-a-project?forum=vsx

If the suggestions above does not help you, I find that
Visual Studio Integrate forum:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/home?forum=vsx is a better forum because you are using iWizard to create project template. You can open a new thread about
your current issue and post some code about iWizard there, Visual Studio Extension experts will provide you better support.
Thank you for your understanding.
Have a nice day:)

&DISPLAY_USER not working properly after import/export of application
I'm getting some weird functionality.
Several variables are no longer working after I exported and imported a page into the same HTMLDB environment
for example at the bottom of the page I now get:
User: &DISPLAY_USER Language: &BROWSER_LANGUAGE
I verified that the template are the same in both cases.
I also get the same error in one of my links
with
&SESSION not resolving.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
ErikErik,
Items using that syntax need a period at the end (&DISPLAY_USER.) when the application uses "exact substitutions mode". Some of our older applications used "non-exact substitutions mode". Perhaps you exported the page from such an application.

In system preferences > sound > output, it will switch from normal internal speakers > built-in, to headphones > built-in, to digital out > built-in, to headphones > headphone port, to digital out > headphone port- it's nuts! This is all without having anything actually plugged into the headphone jack. While it is greyed out (which happens randomly and on any of the settings), there is no sound whatsoever and it says, "The selected device has no output controls.". Also coinciding with this, my computer has begun to suddenly run extremely slow and lags a lot. Is there a way to fix this? I already tried updating my computer, and restarting it, and it didn't help. I'm wondering if maybe the headphone jack somehow was shorted while I had some speakers plugged in for gaming...? Or is this something I need to send my computer in to be repaired for?
It was custom-ordered a few years ago, and unfortunately the warranty has expired. :/ Perfect timing.I have this same issue and have been struggling with it for a while. I really just need to get it into Apple Store to be fixed most likely - but avoiding the hassle and time needed to do so.
Things I've come across:
Something inside of the headphone jack is not right, such that it randomly thinks headphones or some other type of optical audio device are plugged in. you will see a red light inside the jack occasionally when it happens.
You might try doing PRAM and/or SMC reset ( http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964 ) -
Hi,
In the 12.1.8 SP 05, when the iGrid cell values set through the java script, the rendering part is not working.
For example,
The data set returned by iCommand has 25 rows.
Java script sets the values in the iGrid from each row.
The application was working well with 12.1.8 SP02. The same application is not working properly now.
the error from the java script show this as java.lang.NullPointerException.
For the same set of data, this error is occurring sometimes at the third row, sometimes in the middle and sometimes in the end.
The java console is quite consistent. The same error occurs multiple times.
I have given the error in the end.
After the grid loaded, the script tries to set the cell values. some time only a single line has values and some time 4 to 5 lines has values for the same data set. The lines are not shown to the user. When he moves away from that page and comes back all the 25 lines are seen, mostly without values.
Is anyone working with 12.1.8 SP05 patch? The Xacute Query string output size is 64K in the SP02. In SP04 and SP05 this issue is fixed. This needs to be implemented. But in SP 03, IGrid functionality is refactored.
The SAP notes number: Note 1566572 - MII 12.1 SP08 Patch03 says,
Re-factored iGrid to improve datatype handling
Notes number for SP04: Note 1581779 - MII 12.1 SP08 Patch04
Notes number for SP05: Note 1586551 - MII 12.1 SP08 Patch05
If you have upgraded into the latest version of 12.1, are you facing the similar problem?

Kishore kumar P SHi Jamie,
SAP has proposed a solution not to check the word wrap in the Grid.
The iCommand data call was happening with Creation event of iGrid.
Now changed to FirstUpdateEvent. This works fine.

RFC adapter in XI 3.0 not working properly with BAPI in R/3 4.6C
Here is the scenario.
An XML file is received from our customer. This file contains purchase order information that is used to create a sales order in our SAP 4.6C system. Once the sales order is created an acknowledgement is generated and this is returned back to our customer in an XML format. This scenario is working perfectly fine in our XI 2.0 system but is not working properly in our XI 3.0 test environment. Our custom function module in R/3 is a wrapper function that uses a standard SAP BAPI to create the sales order. Part of the function module does use the statement
call function 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'
The last thing the BAPI does is call another function module that using an RFC destination that will return and order acknowledgement.
Here is what happens within XI and our SAP system.
The XML file is received and mapped to our imported RFC. The RFC adapter is called and the information is passed onto SAP where our customer function module executed. The sales order is created within SAP without any problems and the second function module is called which references an RFC destination assigned to our XI 3.0 system. The information is sent back to XI and an appropriate file is created for our customer. All seems to be working properly except that when the original RFC is sent from XI to SAP, SAP creates a short dump stating
"call to messaging system failed: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException:" Then it is put back into the que where 5 minutes later it executes again and trys to recreate the sales order in SAP. (again, this same function module executing from XI 2.0 works fine)
I believe I have everything configured properly because the SAP side is being executed and I am successfully passing information back from SAP to XI. However the original function module in SAP is failing with the above error message. It appears that the original function module cannot communicate back with XI. I have had SAP looking at this issue and they have not been successful yet in solving this problem.
Any ideas.
Thanks,
Jim d'HulstHi,
I think the problem is with the send back of acknowledgement to XI. Does the DeliveryException state something about the sender agreement? I guess you are using a statement like below:
CALL FUNCTION 'ZABCD'
destination <tcp/ip destination>
exporting
input = ack.
In that case, check whether the TCP/IP destination is working fine. Also, to be able to exchange message, the structure of the Function Module ZABCD needs to be identified as the sender in XI Configuration (Integration Directory).
Also, check your config with the blog mentioned below:

List of Character which cause Query not work properly
I want the List of characters and resolution which can leads the SQL query to not work properly
LIKE
Problem: Single Quotes " ' " in SQL query.
Solution: Use one more single Quotes
Example: Select 'D''Sa'as EName from dual;
Please provide all Such special cases so I take care while developing my application. That's what I ment by 'copied to every other iBook I have to create in this series' ( I mean 'linked in ePub export pop up').
I use a small CSS file containing what I need and have no surprises anymore. I learned a lot this weeks...
And concerning InDesign (as I always say in the IT-world): For every solution there is a problem...

Undo is not working properly (grayed out)
Undo is not working properly in Indesign CC 9.2. I am using a 17" MBP running OSX 10.9.1.
Processor: 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
I ran into this issue doing a publication layout. I was not doing anything overly complicated. Copying/pasting, placing images, adding text boxes, copying/pasting text boxes. It seems to happen without rhyme or reason.
I know that is not helpful for troubleshooting so I was able to isolate the problem. Here is how to recreate it.
Open new doc (standard letter)
Create text box with random text
copy the text box (cmd C)
paste the text box (cmd V)
move the resulting text box using selection tool (V)
select NEW text box (selection tool)
copy the NEW text box (cmd C)
paste the NEW text box (cmd V)
move the text box (selection tool).
Repeat until there are 5 text boxes (at least).
Undo the various actions after placing and moving the 5 text boxes.
I cannot undo back to a "new document."
In some cases I can only undo 2 actions before "undo" becomes grayed out, and in some cases, I can undo up to 9 or 10 actions before it gets grayed out.
Other programs running:
Illustrator
Photoshop
Text Edit
MS Word 2011
Excell 2011
Messages
Chrome
Finder
Fetch (FTP software)
I need to have these programs running simultaneously in many cases and have done so successfully in the past. I have a feeling it might be a memory issue, but I have not seen a similar post and I never had the issue with CS5 running with an identical setup. I was able to undo actions up until my previous save in CS5 sometimes 25-30 actions.I unplugged the USB items and the problem still persisted so it is not related to any of those.
I shut down InDesign and tried reopening. InDesign crashed at reopen. I have provided the log below. Hopefully this shows where the problem is occurring.

FM 7.2
I wish to maintain conceptual consistency between two portions of text.
I'm curious as to the best way to inform the FM user, but not the document reader, of the connection between the two portions of text. I refer to this concept as
cross-reference notes.
I think that ideally I could insert a cross reference from one portion of text to the other, a cross reference that is visible only to the FM user but not to the document reader.
I'm curious as to the best way to insert cross-reference notes. If you create PDFs of your documents and you want working links,
then all cross-refs will be active links, even if they aren't indicated
visually. So cross-refs may not be ideal in your situation.
What you seem to be looking for is "text insets", i.e. FM text imported
by reference. These references or duplicates of text will not show up
as links in a PDF, but they will be very obvious to the FM user:
clicking in a text inset will select the entire referenced text, and
double-clicking it will open the text inset dialog.

I just had a conversation with Linksys' Customer Service via chat: Daphne L. J: Hello Fernando Paramo. My name is Daphne L..
Daphne L. J: Welcome to Linksys Global Chat. Is this your initial contact or do you have a case number?
You: Case number is 04971062
Daphne L. J: Please give me 3-5 minutes to pull up and review your case.
You: OK
Daphne L. J: Thank you.
You: I have a WRT1900 AC, V1. The router is not working properly. I have disconnections every few minutes.I already installed the new firmware version and I still have the same issues. I already reset the router to factory defaults and same issues. I have changed the settings back to my personal preferences: Changed the SSID, changed the wireless security settings, changed the DNS and deactivate WPS. That's it.I'm using 5 Ghz mode with my laptops (5 Ghz adapters) and 2-4 Ghz with a few devices (Chromecast, Nintendo 3DS).
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
Daphne L. J: Please confirm if the following information is correct:
Name : Fernando Paramo
Phone Number :
E-Mail Address :
Model Number : WRT1900AC
Serial Number : 13J10609406280
Country : United States
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Okay. Were you able to check if the devices have stable connection wired to the router?
You: No. I do not have devices with Ethernet ports. Well, only the cable modem.
You: But the modem is fine. No disconnections from my ISP.
You: It is the router.
Daphne L. J: Alright. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: I tried to return the router to Wal-Mart yesterday with no luck. This is a useless device. And I have been reading comments on the community forums and a lot of people are having problems.
Daphne L. J: We are actually aware of the issue and are working on a resolution. What is the current firmware version of your router?
You: Ver. 1.1.10.167514
You: Latest one.
Daphne L. J: Yes, so you reflashed the firmware, reset and then manually reconfigure it after, not using backup configuration, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: And it is intermittent on all devices connected to both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks, is that right?
You: That's correct.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Please give ,e 3-5 minutes to verify this with my superior.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for waiting.
You: I want to send you my WRT1900 AC and get a V2 or I want a EA8500 and pay the difference myseld.
You: I do not want my current hardware.
You: It is useless for my needs.
You: I can't believe I had an older E3000 that didn't give me any problems.
Daphne L. J: We have already exhausted all possible troubleshooting steps for your concern. As verified with my Supervisor, we will forward your case to our Customer Assurance Team. They are highly technical and knowledgeable when it comes to advanced troubleshooting. They will contact you in the next 24 to 48 hours. By the way, who is your Internet Service Provider? And do you Cable or DSL connection?
You: Cable connection.
Daphne L. J: Who is your Internet Service Provider?
You: A company called .
You: How are they going to contact me?
Daphne L. J: Alright. By the way, on the device itself, on its FCC ID, please check if you have WRT1900AC or WRT1900AC v2.
You: Are you paying attention to me?
You: I already told you it's V1.
Daphne L. J: They will call or email you. Please double check if these informations are correct:

You: I want them to contact me to my email. I can't answer the phone during work hours.
Daphne L. J: We can't assure you if we will be able to replace it with Version 2 or if you are allowed to have the EA8500 instead.
Daphne L. J: Just in case, do you also have an alternate number?
Daphne L. J: Also, what time zone are you in? And what is your preferred time and day for them to contact you?
You: I have the one from my office in Mexico. Central Time. Any time is good.
Daphne L. J: So, you are currently in Mexico?
You: I work in Mexico but I have the house in USA. I live in the border.
Daphne L. J: I see. Do you have any other questions or clarifications?
You: I live 10 minutes away from the International Bridge. But that's not an issue. I bought the router at Walmart in Laredo, TX.
Daphne L. J: Thank you for the information. Would that be all for now?
You: I want a clarification: Do you realize that there is an issue with the current WRT1900 AC? Are you aware of that?
You: Because this is a very expensive router that is not working as it should be.
Daphne L. J: Yes, we are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution.
Daphne L. J: Would there be anything else you need?
You: That would be it. I will wait for you to contact me.
You: Thanks.
Daphne L. J: Alright. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve you through Linksys Live Chat. You may also visit our support site at www.linksys.com. For your reference, your case number is 04980394. Thank you for choosing Linksys and have a great day! We paid $250 for this piece of equipment. That's a lot of money for a device that doesn't work. I just want to get a V2 replacement, or better yet, an exchange for a EA8500. We should all demand this. It is not fair for us. The current WRT1900 AC is a useless device. They even should do a recall of the product. I will wait for them to contact me, but I'm thinking if I should send the information to The Consumerist or someone else. What to do?FernandoRocker wrote:
Well... instead of looking into this with Engineering, I would prefer you to talk about this with the Sales department and exchange my WRT1900AC for an EA8500 (I will pay the difference if needed). Seriously. The device is useless. Not just a paperweigt... an expensive paperweight.Actually I looking into the swap for you because I think that would be best in your case. Keep this in perspective. There is laterally millions of WRT1900AC V1 out there with very few issues with latest firmwares and of course the odd exception. In your case it could be a defective WRT1900AC. -

I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.

Subvi does not work properly when called inside a vi
Hello Every body
thanks for your help. i am using a sub vi for sine signal generation. as a vi it works fine. but when i called this subvi inside another VI it gives some problems. for example timer indicator works properly.it reinitializes as well in the sub vi, but in the main VI it does not work properly. means does not count the time.in the sub vi on the fly i can change the values of frequency and amplitude in real time, but when i use as sub vi, it does not reponse as i change the values in the control arrays.similarly pause and continue works properly in the sub vi, but once again in the main VI, it does not work properly.graph indicator also work properly in the sub vi. but here once again it does not work properly in the main VI.the pause resume indicator also does not blink, when it is continue. in the subvi it blinks very well.generally why the sub vi does not work properly inside the VI?i am sending my VI and sub vis.
any tips would be highly appreciated.
thanks

vi.zip 87 KBI just want to add some more details to Dan's answer. The subVI is acting exactly like you've coded it. The mistake is in understanding how subVIs work. When you call a subVI (or a function in any other language), you pass some parameters to it, the subVI does it's thing and returns values. the subVI does not accept new parameters from the calling VI until it returns to the caller and the caller runs the subVI again. In your case, you have a subVI with a while loop. You have some front panel control wired to the subVI's stop terminal. When first called, the value is false. So the subVI will keep running until the subVI's stop button becomes true but you cannot change it from main until the subVI finishes and returns so the subVI will never stop. As Dan says, the solution is pass references of front panel controls to the subVI and have the subVI monitor those references for changes and to update references to indicators on Main. You subVI does not need any front panel controls or indicators of it's own.
