Crosstab Profit Margin Calculation

I have a crosstab with SalesRep as rows and Product as Columns. I have SumSales and SumCost in the intersecting cells.
How do I subtract SumCost from SumSales and display this result (SumProfit) in each cell?
Is there a way to calculate the profit margin percentage in each cell .... (SumProfit/SumSales) * 100.
Thank you.

I have two fields last year costs and last year sales.
I created a formula field in which I wrote the below formula
product.last year sales - product.last year cost
I opened the cross tab expert and I put this formula field in summarized fields. I clicked on change summary and checked that by default "calculate this summary" is a sum.
I checked the options for "Show as percentage of".Click on Ok.
Please let me know if you could get the desired output after trying a similar way like above.

  • Crosstab Profit Margin Percentages

In Crystal 9 or Crystal Xi I need a crosstab as shown below.
Each cell containts Sales, Profit, and Profit as a Percent of Sales
    _____________Month____
    _________1____2_____3
    Huey ___120__150__200
    ________10___ 20___15
    ________8%__13%__8%
    Dewey__300__250__350
    ________-30___40___25
    _______-10%__16%__7%
Please note that the Profit percentages are calculated for each month.
I am not looking for each month's profit as a percentage of the total profit.
The main report contains all the necessary groupings and calculations.
How can I get the crosstab to show the Profit percentages?
    Thanks,

  • Freight charges not to be included in the Net value and Profit margin

    Hi Gurus,
My client dosent want shipping charges to be included in the net value, but it should appear in the price and also the shipping charges should not be considered in calculating the profit margin.
Another point is my sale price is cost plus 20% profit. So in my pricing starting point is EK02 and PR00 is 120% of EK02(maintained condition recored for PR00 as 120% of EK02). pls advice if this is correct way of doing it.

V/06  open the freight condition type and Tick the field accruals in control data 2
assign the account key in pricing for accruals.

  • Profit Margin in Pricing

    Hi,
I am using a pricing procedure which includes the condition type "vprs" for cost.
However, my Profit Margin shows the sum of my TOTAL and my COST.
Can you advice me on how to rectify this?
    Thanks and Regards,
       Aditya

In the T.code: V/08 go to your pricing procedure and in that, in reference to the condition type <b>VPRS</b>  check if it is checked for <b>Statistical</b>.
    The functionality is given below
    <b>Statistical:</b>
This indicator if it is activated will not allow the value of the condition type to be taken into net value calculation.
It is used only for information purposes only.
This indicator causes a surcharge or discount to be set in the document statistically (that is, without altering the value).
This is commonly used for condition types
    SKTO - Cash Discount
VPRS - Cost (Moving average price/Standard Price).
Also Profit margin should be assigned with AltCTY as 11.

  • Profit margin - frm_kondi_wert_018 - create billing document

    Hi!
I want to create a sales billing document with reference to a delivery. The profit margin for one billing item not exceeds a certain limit (calculated in FV64A018, frm_kondi_wert_018) and for some materials the system does not pop-up any message, just calculates the margin. The problem is that when the user creates the billing document, the system issues an invoice number but when he wants to display the invoice, the system issues the error message VF 041: Billing document 90589068 does not exist. (I browsed the table and watched the flow documents and indeed the invoice does not exist.)
It may be a problem of authorization but I don’t find the missing one (I used SU53). I searched SAP Notes or related threads....
Do you have any idea? Or some helpful links...
    Thanks guys.

    Hi Florina,
Oh if that is the case then you can try out one last try by debugging the system with help of ABAPer.This way you can atleast analyse why system is behaving in different way for different logons.
If it is not traced then you can post this in ABAP forum.
At times I have faced the same issue. That time the cause was in problem in the output program.User had set the processing time of output as 4-Immediately afetr saving the document.Whereas I was processing with manual release of output.
So whenever I used to save the document it was getting saved.
But when the user does the same thing the output is called immediately at time of saving the document and due to error in output program,he used to face this sort of error.
In user's case he system used to issue the document number but when you go to VF02,document number is not avialable.
Ask user to remove the output assignment and try saving the invoice. This time if the error is not faced then you need to check the output program.

  • How to maintain profit margin in third patry sales

    Dear Experts
Please suggest how to maintain profit margin in third party sales
    Regards
    Manoj

    hi,
you need to maintain VPRS condition type in your pricing procedure.
VPRS condition type captures COst of the material. This Value for Condition type VPRS is copied from Valuation segment from Material master.
VPRS should have subtotal as B and requirement as 4 and also should be statistical in your pricing procedure.
Moreover the item category of the sales order Determine cost should be marked in VOV7
After maintaining this, you can maintain Z condition type with MARGINE % or value as per your requirment
In normal scenario, clients do maintain the condition record for PROFIT MARGINE % so that this margine valu gets calculated automatically

  • Profit Margins to be applied for Projects

    Hi Dina,
My client is has a business process as follows:
    1) Contract is received from customer and BoQ estimates are plotted
    2) Based on the estimates, a profit margin at contract level is arrived.
    3) Then the work order is issued to the subcontractor (a vendor).
    4) At milestone completion subcontractor raises a milestone billing (ap invoice) to my client
    5) On the other side the bill to customer is raised based on contract terms (irrespective of subcontractor terms). It is ensured that the profit margin is maintained on every bill raised to the customer. Revenue is recognized when billing is raised. They follow the simple logic of Revenue =Profit %-age * Actual Cost]
So, firstly, where i can mention in project billing as what is my profit margin %-age, so that the margin is calculated automatically on my cost.
secondly, how would i ensure that my profit margin is preserved on every supplier invoice raised by subcontractor
    Please help !
    Regards,

    Hi
I assume the contract billing method is a fix price based on deliverables.
You will bill the customer by entering deliverable based events.
To meet your requirement, I suggest you generate revenue based on automatic events. For that you will need to develop a billing extension.
You could enable a DFF on contract, agreement or project level. The right place for the DFF depend on the mapping of project to agreement. Users will enter the expected margin percentage on that DFF.
Alternatively you can enter the estimated costs as cost budget of the project. So margin could be derived by a formula of agreement value divided by the cost budget amount.
The billing extension will calculate the revenue amount as: Accumulated cost * agreement value / cost budget amount - Prior Accumulated revenue.
If you don't use budgets and maintain the margin on DFF the formula will be: Accumulated cost * Estimated margin - Prior Accumulated revenue.
As project is progressing you may need to validate the margin estimate. If actual costs differ from originally estimated/ budgeted cost, then users will need to update the budget or update the percentage on the DFF.

  • Profit margin -ve

    hi gurus,
    va01*********
i have 3 condition records for a a material system is populating the right condition record and is showing the rest as inactive
but in the profit margin line it is showing negative value which should be positive and that too a vague figure
eg_ my material is priced at inr 300000 (pr00)
cashdiscount is 20%(cash discount should be 60000) but system is showing only 6000
    it's v.p.r.s. is inr 250000
    profit margin 220000-
profit margin's subtotal field is blank in it's respective pricing procedure
    thanks
    mohit

Some of the checks you need to carry out are:-
    a)  For the discount condition type, check your pricing procedure what step number is assigned in "From-To" tabs.  It should have been the step number of PR00
    b)  Go to V/06, select your discount condition type and execute.  There check what is maintained for the field "Pos./neg".  It should have been negative.  Also the calculation type should be Percentage
    c)  Go to VK12, select the discount condition type and ensure that you have maintained 20%
    thanks

  • Can we hide 'profit margin' in the sales order

I looked in the config, but I did not find any control that will hide the profit margin on the sales order.
Does anybody know if the only way to do this is to actually take off the 'profit margin' from the pricing procedure?
    Thanks
    Bindu

    Hi bindu,
if u want to hide profit margin in sales order ,is it captured thru some condition type? if yes then use alternative condition base formula in pricing procedure with either 27 or 56 .if business logic doesnot suit with this std routine then u can write ur own routine in VOFM transaction with abapper's help.
it is cent % possible to do,and this is the only way also.
if you also do not want to show this PM in invoice output then untick printing option in pricing procedure for this condition type.
please reward if this helps !!!!!!

  • How to capture Material costs, profit margins in pricing

    Guys,
What is the way to capture material costs, profit margins and other sub-totals into the pricing procedure?
    Thank you.

    Hi
For capturing the material costs, you can use one of VPRS, EK01 or EK02 condition types. The usage of these condition types and their significance can be seen in some other thread here. There are lot of threads on these condition types.
You can also go to these links given below.
    http://sap.ittoolbox.com/groups/technical-functional/sap-log-sd/condition-type-ek01-ek02-1396383
    http://www.jt77.com/system-dynamics/model-08388.html
    http://www.jt77.com/system-dynamics/model-05254.html
    http://www.jt77.com/system-dynamics/model-04469.html
    http://www.sap-img.com/sap-sd/difference-between-condition-type.htm
This should also tell you something about profit margin.
For subtotals, there is a separate column in pricing procedure and  you can mention which subtotal a condition type or subtotal should correspond to. The subtotals range from 1 to 9 and then A to Z. The purpose of these subtotals can be seen by putting an F1 in that column or through some oss notes.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Trade Sales Profit Margin in COPA Report

    HI,
We have one requirement COPA Report for to know the profit Margin.
    Scenario
My client purchase material from Vendor and sale same material to Customer.
Ex: FG Purchase Price 100/- and same material without doing thing then sell to customer 120/-
    Present in our system.
    Creation of sales order.
Creation Purchase Request against Sales order
    Creation of PO.
Creation of MIGO with reference to PO(the material value show special Stock. Its wont update Price and quantity in Material Master)
    MIRO
    Post goods issue.
    Billing
Now my requirement is how to get PGI value in COPA value field. Present there is no ‘VPRS’ condition in SO. I am getting Revenue and Discount values but I am not getting Purchase price.
Please give me your valuable suggestions.
    Regards,
    Thirumalesh

    Hi Thiru
VPRS has to be a part of your pricing procedure.. Only then it updates COGS into COPA
but I am wondering having VPRS would really help in this case, because you are saying the MIGO is not updating Price and Qty in Material Master
Still, I would like you to try with VPRS once, by including it in your pricing procedure
Also, in KE4I (ORKE > Actual Value Flows > Value from SD > Billing docs > Assign Value Fields) - > Here you have the option to map MM conditions also to COPA.. So, explore this by mapping the MM cond to COPA VF

  • Hide Cost and Profit Margin

    Dear All,
i have applied the SAP Note 105621 to hide the cost (vprs)  and profit margin condition type in pricng procedure but it is not working,
What could be reason is there any updated SAP Note.
    Kindly Advice
    Regards,
    Mohammed

    Hi
Do you mantain this authoritation object in tcode PFCG for the users?. Remember that if your VPRS cond. in your pricing procedure have the counter 10 you must write in the parameter for this auth.object 010. In my actual system I don't have applied this note, so I cannot check it in detail, only that I remember (4-5 years ago).
    I hope this helps you

    Hi welcome to the forum.
The spreadsheets in Pages follow the formating and formulae in Numbers.
Download the Formulaand_FunctionsUserGuide.pdf from under the Help menu in Numbers.
