Crosstab with char values doesn't work
I am using Template Builder for Word 5.6.2 to create a crosstab report. I need to create a crosstab table that has char values in the cells not numbers as is expected by the wizard. Because the sum command expectes a number it displays the NaN not a number error in the cell if I try to display a char value. I tried changing the sum to max in the cell:
<?max ($G1[(./CRITERIA_ID=current()/CRITERIA_ID)]/THRESHOLD)?>
but this gives an error.
Is is possible to display a char value?
I ran into a similar problem before and worked around it by moving the query to a pipelined function in the database as described at WITH clause unexpectedly causes ORA-00942 in Reports Builder

iTunes 10.4 full screen with Win7-64 doesn't work correctly. I have the Windows taskbar on the left side of my screen. Maximized iTunes is panned to the left.
Same issue here. When the Windows taskbar is position on the top of the screen and then the iTunes windows is maximised, it's position is as if the Windows taskbar is at the bottom of the screen so the top of the iTunes window sits under the taskbar.
For those wanting a workaround, hold shift and right click the iTunes icon in the taskbar/quick launch bar and click restore, at least then you can adjust it to be full screen manually.
System:

I have a problem with my laptop IdeaPad S10e 4187-5PG: LAN with TCP/IP doesn't work, after I have updated all the drivers to the latest ones form the Lenovo site (except BIOS update). I tried to check if LAN worksby sending a ping to the IP address and that is OK, but when Isend a ping to the default gateway it failes. Open up a DOS Prompt (aka command prompt, DOS Box). and type IPCONFIG /ALL <enter>. Do you get a compatible IP address and subnet mask? You should also get the gateway IP address. -

Version of Reader? OS? Can you open reader by double-clicking on its icon? Can you open reader by double-clicking on a pdf file? What programs are trying to open reader? Some programs might be restricting your ability to view pdf files using the Reader plug-in due to security concerns. It sounds like your Wi-Fi network is working if your desktop works with it, we just need to get the Wi-Fi on your iPhone and iPad connected to it. I found a couple of resources to help with not being able to connect to Wi-Fi on an iOS device.
I recommend following the steps in this tutorial first (the steps should work on the iPhone and iPad):

OBIEE 11g Prompt's default value doesn't work with a presentation variable
Hi, I'm using OBIEE 11g and I have two dashboard prompts (Product Name and Product Number). Theses prompts are hierarquical, so the values that are displayed in the Product Number prompt have dependency with the values chosen on the Product Name prompt. This I was able to do, but now I want to put a default value on the Product Number prompt. The steps are:
1 - The user chooses the value for the Product Name Prompt and by doing that the Product Number prompt is automatically filled with the correspondent value.
But unfortunatelly this is not working, after choosing the value for the Product Name the default value for Product Number is not displayed (when you open the prompt the values displayed are correct and already filtered considering the Product Name but the prompt is not automatically filled with the default value).
What I did is:
On the Product Name Prompt I've created a Presentation Variable called PROD.
On the Product Number Prompt I've selected:
1 - For the "Choice List Values" field I've checked the option "Limit Values by All Prompts"
2 - For the "Default Selection" field I've chosen the SQL Results option and enter the following SQL:
SELECT "Products"."Product Number" FROM "Sample Sales Lite"."Products" WHERE "Products"."Product"='@{variables.PROD}
What am I doing wrong?

CarlaSorry I was wrong in my previous thread.
Actually your approach is not correct, Product Number choose constraint that will show as per the selection of Product Name.
Coming to default value for Product Number you are going for sql override that is okay but not work with variable, instead of setting default values for product number set that to product name.
if not you need to go for 2 different prompts
Prompt 1 Product Name hit GO
Prompt 2 will work based on as you defined earlier with variables

Filter Web Template with URL Cmd: doesn't work with compound infoobject ?

I've to filter the query contained on a web template with URL command, but it doesn't work.
The web template contains only one query, and on the free chars I have 0PLANT.
I call the web template adding to the normal url the following command:
&FILTER_IOBJNM=0PLANT&FILTER_VALUE=33
where 33 is the code of the plant I want to filter.
The command is executed, I think, because the result is "NO APPLICABLE DATA FOUND". The fact is that when I execute this query on the Bex filtering 0PLANT by value 33 the data exists.
May be because 0PLANT on our system is in compound with 0SOURSYSTEM ? In this case, what's the value I can use as filter ?

Change user's OU with punctuation mark doesn't work by Rename User View

I have problem with moving user between OU by Rename User View when punctuation mark in name of OU is used.
I have own WF that assign user to specific OU depending on value of Select component. When value of this component is changed (against previous value) I call Rename View, that assign user to new OU. For OU without punctuation mark Rename View works OK.
After finishing WF with punctuation mark in OU this Error appers:
java.lang.RuntimeException: There is no such object on the server.
But creating new AD account (by role assignment) in OU with punctuation work OK. In select component is rule that replace puctional character in correct form.

Change Background_Color with set_*_property doesn´t work with NLS_LANG UTF8

we changed our forms from we8iso8859p1 to utf8 and now we noticed that changing of background colors from canvases, items etc don´t work anymore.
I tried set_canvas_property, set_va_property, set_item_property.
When I start the form with NLS_LANG: GERMAN_GERMANY.WE8ISO8859P1 changing the colors works.
When I start the form with NLS_LANG: GERMAN_GERMANY.UTF8 changing the color don´t work.
We use Forms Version 6.0.8.11.3.
Are there any workarounds to change the colors when nls is set to utf8?

Tabular form with Popuv LOV doesn't work with onchange event

I have a problem with tabular forms, Popuv LOVs and javascript.
I have created one tabular form, I want to put a value in "my_field" field when a user selects a new value from other field called "my_list", I have this code:

Thanks, yes, in fact the position of my column changes, but it doesn't work even with the correct element, I have made a lot of proves and it seems that APEX constructs POPUPS LOVS in a different way and that's why "onchange" does not work.
With this thread: Re: onchange not work on popup lov for a field on collection I have a half solution, It works for existing rows, but it doesn't for added rows.
I have solved this problem calling a function that set the onchange event to every row when "ADD ROW" button is pressed, now it works without problems.

how many varchars did you define for the column that´s holding the encrypted passwords ? It has to be at least 32 chars due to the MD5 encryption, if it´s lesser than that, the passwords will get truncated.

Parameter default value doesn't work in Discoverer Desktop 4i
Hello,
I have a parameter called 'Organization' in discoverer report.
I want to set its default value to one organization from the list of values. I edited the parameter
and selected that value from the list in the Default value field. But,when I run
the report, it shows the recently used value for that parameter,
instead of showing the default value.
I have the same problem with all parametrs in workbooks in Discoverer.
I am using Discoverer Desktop 4i (4.1.41.05.00).
Is there anything i can do to make Discoverer show me the default value for the parameter every time i run the workbook?

Unfortunately it seams that seting that p[reference doesn't work for my version of Discoverer.
That option is introduced with version 4.1.43 and we are using version 4.1.41.05.
I suppose i can't solve that problem on another way in this version of Discoverer Desktop..?
