CRS oui failed to find the node

Hi every friend,
I am trying to install the CRS on 2 solaris 9 (VERITAS CFS). But when the oui came to the page "Specify Cluster Configuration" page, The OUI can not find any node and also the ADD, EDIT , REMOVE three buttons unpressable with grey color. From the help I know that when OUI detect the third-party vendor clusterware, It will use the node infomation obtained from third-party vendor clusterware and these infomation is not able to be edited by OUI. But it seems that it can not obtain anynode infomation. I had ping the PUB/PRIV IP of both node and they are accessible. How can I make the OUI to find the node infomation?
Thank you very much!

  • Where do I find the "Node Manager" service?

Can anyone tell me where to find the "Node Manager Service" In Call Manager 5.1.2 or IPCC 4.5?
My db_CRA database in IPCC is not updating the real time ICD statistics table and Bug CSCsc09160 seems to indicate that stopping and starting the "Node Managers" may fix the issue.
    From the bug report:
    Symptom:
Under the db_cra two tables (RtCSQsSummary and RtICDStatistics) are not updating. They stop updating concurrently with engine failovers and reboots. Only a hard reboot or a
service failover brings them back into an active state.
When the RtCSQsSummary and RtICDStatistics tables do update on the
primary DB they do not update on the secondary DB and the data on them
    doesnt get refreshed.
    Conditions:
stopping Node manager on node 1, data fails to be written to node 2. Then when we start NM back up on node 1 data is still not written to either data store
    Workaround:
Not much as a workaround, because the solution requirs stop on both Node
Managers and bring up node 1 first and the data starts writing to DB
    again.
    Thanks,
    Brian

    Sven,
The reference to Session Manager is more of a concept of operations versus an entity.  The portion of code that you copied and pasted in your post is actually part of the verbiage used in an ASP script that BusinessObjects expects you to create in order for you to obtain your objective.  You can use this coding to create your own customized script or you might be able to search around on the web for a more complete solution.

  • Kerberos problems: "Failed to find KerberosKDC node"

I'm running 10.7.1 on a Macbook. Something's wrong with my Kerberos installation. My Console is filled with messages like:
Sep 23 09:56:13 macbook digest-service[658]:krb5_kdc_set_dbinfo: Failed to find KerberosKDC node
    Sep 23 09:56:13 macbook com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.Kerberos.digest-service[658]): Exited with code: 1
Sep 23 09:56:13 macbook com.apple.launchd[1] (com.apple.Kerberos.digest-service): Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds
I know almost nothing about Kerberos and am having trouble finding clear explanations of its configuration. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hi
Kerberos is used extensively in Single Sign On (SSO) environments. This would typically be medium-to-large Coporate or Educational institutions running instances of Windows Active Directory and possibly Apple's Open Directory or even a mixture of the two. There are other manufacturers that offer their own bespoke offering such as Novell but I'm seeing less and less of this now-a-days. Regardless, all of these technologies have one thing in common; they are based on Open Source OpenLDAP:
    http://www.openldap.org/
    http://www.openldap.org/project/
At its simplest LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) is a database (or series of databases) that can 'contain' information about all sorts of things which can be easily distributed or shared.
If you're not in any of these types of environments and your laptop has not been bound and/or joined to a networked domain and essentially you're in a single user, residential home environment I would ignore it.
FWIW I see this 'error' also even in 10.6 and like a lot of things that are logged by the OS it does not necessarily mean there's anything wrong. For some things Console can be overly verbose and may 'frighten' the unwary into thinking there's something wrong when actually there isn't.
Having said all that and apart from what is being logged, are you actually having any problems?
    HTH?

    Open Registry Editor.
In Registry Editor, navigate to the following registry key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\ParametersSystem
Create the following value (REG_SZ): Working Directory and give it a value that points to the new database folder.
Make sure you back up the registry before you do any changes on it.

  • RAID Fails to find the first device

    Hello all.
This is my first post to the forum. I did a brief search but i couldn't find any good results, so i tought i'd post my prob here.
I have an MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR motherboard, with a 450W PSU (i don't have any more info on that yet), 2x512MB RAM DDR 400 (no more info on that one yet either), 2x120GB SATA WD HD, 1xDVD TEAC, 1xDVD+-RW SONY DL, 1x1.44MB FDD, an ATI RADEON 9600 PRO ALL-IN-WONDER VGA card on an nForce chipset.
The first HD has WinXP installed on it with the raid drivers installed properly. The second HD has Mandrake 10.1 Linux installed on it.  They are installed as separate arrays.
The problem I'm having is that while I'm working in Windows, after a while the computer completely freezes. The only possible way out of it is to reset the machine. After I do that, at the boot screen, it fails to find the first HD (the one with WinXP on it). If i turn it off for let's say 5 minutes, and boot up, it detects the HD again and goes on loading windows. After I log in i have at maximum 5 minutes before it freezes again.
It does this every time. The more time I leave my PC turned off, the longer time it will take to freeze again when I'm logged in WinXP. I formatted the HD many times, installing every possible combination of my drivers but the problerm persists. Although it has never happened anything like that in Linux.
Could it be the RAID Controller (onboard), the WD HDD, or the Motherboard in general?
What can I do to find out what the problem is? And if possible, how to solve it?
If more info is needed, I will update the info of my pc as soon as I get back home.
P.S. I cheched the WD HDD, using WD tools like Disk Diag, etc. It never gave me any problems. I also used UBCD for win, and cheked the disk, to dicover once again, that the disk supposingly has no problems.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

  • DeskI schedule often  fail Cannot find the 'Universe' universe. (DA0011)

    Hello,
I have a user with 25 reoccurring daily schedules.  Out of these one or two will fail daily with the error "Cannot fine the 'Universe Name' universe. (DA0011).  It is not always the same reoccurring schedule that fails.  It fails on any of our four DeskI nodes, and the times it fails are not consistent.
It is only happening for instances against one universe.  When I setup a schedule for myself with the same parameters, it completes successfully.

This appears to have started happening in October, but I have not been able to find a reason why it is happening.

Were you ever able to resolve this issue?  We are having the same issue where random schedules will fail with the message cannot find the 'Universe' universe. (DA0011).  We know it is not a rights issue as we 3,000 + schedules going against the universes and only a handful will fail each day with this error.
We are on XI 3.1 SP4, it does not make a difference if the output is excel, text or PDF it happens

  • CRS 2008 - Failed to open the connection.

I just recently installed the evaluation of CRS 2008 onto my server. I can access every function in CMC and can see all reports that were published in InfoView. However, when I attempt to view a report, I get an error that states "Failed to open the connection. <<Report_Name.rpt>> "
The server is a Windows 2003 R2 machine, with IIS 6.0 installed.
During installation, I had checked both IIS & Java (along with the installation of Tomcat 5.5)
I also installed Crystal Reports 2008, and all reports work perfectly in the developer. The database that the reports pulls data from is a Progress 9.1D database. Could the database be an issue even though I am connecting through an ODBC?

Yes, the DSN is a system DSN and is located on the server that Crystal Reports Server 2008 is installed on. The Progress driver is also loaded. That driver is the MERANT 3.60 32-bit Progress SQL92 v9.1D.
When I run the diagnostics, Web Intelligence Tier fails with the following error:
"Error creating Dataproviders. null - Error viewing Web Intelligence Document. Cannot initialize Report Engine server. (Error: RWI 00226) - Scheduling Web Intelligence Report failed. --Document: " Diagnostic Web Intelligence Document Test" not found."
I'm hoping this can shed some light on what is wrong.

  • How can I find the node I am dragging over during MouseDragged ?

It seems that while dragging you only get MouseDragged events on the node where the drag originated. I have a situation where a drag starts on one node and ends on another.. I am having a lot of trouble finding a reasonable way to get the node where the drag leads to.
E.g. imagine a UI where I am dragging a "connection" from one node to another. I can't use Drag and Drop (which otherwise would report DragEntered andDragExited events), because during a Drag and Drop I don't get any MouseMoved or MouseDragged events, so I can't draw my connection line interactively.
I was hoping I could get MouseEntered and Exited events somehow during the MouseDrag, but they aren't delivered, and even attaching an EventFilter to the nodes in question didn't work. During the drag all events are reported on the listener registed with the source of the drag, but in the drag event even the event Target is set to the same value as the event Source, regardless of what the mouse is dragged over during the operation.
If there is no way to get the need events, is there a built-in way to get the "deepest" node in a scene given the scene coordinates?
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Thanks for the response.
I really think that having target nodes involved with the press-drag-release gesture is important. It seems broken the way it is now. As soon as a drag of any sort begins (MouseDragged, or Drag-and-Drop) suddenly a lot of useful information is unavailable. Why not set the target of the MouseDragged event to what the mouse is actually over? Currently, one the drag is initiated the source and target are fixed forever and no other events are available to find what the mouse is hovering over. (Hmm.. I should check if even the "hover" state is changed on components,as I want my CSS to indicate that a node is the intended destination of the connection that I'm dragging)
The other ugly bit is that now I have to get other objects involved in the operation, whereas before I could just attach event handlers to my nodes, now I need to have a parent involved just so I can see where the mouse is going. I also need to deal with the mouse cursor, which will be giving the user bad feedback, that a drag and drop is happening, when that's not really the concept that I want to convey.

  • [Dropped] vdautomount fails to find the machine

    Hello,
I'm using virtualbox-bin 4.3.20r96996, so I'd like some time to inspect some file into the VDI. Then I installed vdfuse but, the mounting still awful.
The python2 script vdautomount is not able to find the machine name nor the UUID.
All of these functions are based on the VboxAPI, found in the python2 libraries, but while VBoxManage gets the info, the script is some kind of trouble and even I tried to use some of the classes, then they fail.
Anyways, vdfuse mounts my VDI, but still some missing step to have the access to the file system. I hope that vdautomount will do it for me. Unfortunately I'm scarcely able to get vdautomount work.
    Here's the report.
    Any point ?

    I did:
    $ mkdir /tmp/XPvdi
    $ sudo vdautomount "xp" /tmp/XPvdi/
    Usage: vdautomount [options] machine-name-or-uuid mountpoint
vdautomount: error: couldn't find machine "xp"
    $ VBoxManage showvminfo xp |grep -i uuid
    UUID: 67ed29f5-7d85-4322-aa6c-2a49110884d4
    Hardware UUID: 67ed29f5-7d85-4322-aa6c-2a49110884d4
    SATA (0, 0): /mnt/Store/Vboximg/Electron-14-08-11.vdi (UUID: 1f996f93-9f59-4c3c-a9f9-dab62b9c3df0)
    $ sudo vdautomount "1f996f93-9f59-4c3c-a9f9-dab62b9c3df0" /tmp/XPvdi/

vdautomount: error: couldn't find machine "1f996f93-9f59-4c3c-a9f9-dab62b9c3df0"
    $ vdfuse -f /mnt/Store/Vboximg/Electron-14-08-11.vdi /tmp/XPvdi/
    $ ls -l /tmp/XPvdi/
    total 20968141
    -rw------- 1 user users 10737418240 17 gen 15.46 EntireDisk
    -rw------- 1 user users 10733958144 17 gen 15.46 Partition1
Even I switched to community/virtualbox, deleted all /home related files and reinstall vdfuse, the problem hasn't change anything. The problem isn't the vdautomount script, but is rather the python2 vboxapi toolkit.
    Can you show me
VBoxManage showvminfo "My VM Name" |grep -i '(uuid'
I don't think is a issue related to the path, the VBoxManage hasn't it.
    EDIT
I inspected vdautomount and I found that is just a mere helper to find a named VM and pass the path to vdfuse execution.
My mistake was to expect that the script could find the name VM and mount it in loop, so it is possible to access the files in the partitions.
Beside that, vdautomount doesn't work, I'm  giving it up, it fill not my expectations.

  • Multicast fails: Cannot find the file specified

I have a deployment share that works great for unicasting, and I've now tried enabling multicast in preparation for a big rollout. The namespace was created successfully in WDS, and I've made sure my switches have IGMP snooping enabled, (multicast
with Ghost works), however the process always falls back to unicast.

Not sure what is going on here, not enough logging. Have you tried enabling WDS logging on the server side?
The WDSMCast.exe tool can't find the file on the server side, you might want to verify that the namespace was created correctly. The "DeploymentShare$" namespace should point to whatever local directory is on your machine.

  • How to Find the node or leaf node selected in Tree UI element:

    Hi All,
I have a tree structure with three level design. We have a button, which will perform some operation on the specific node or leaf node on every level.
When we select any node or leaf node, we have action Onction getting called.  But what we want is that, after we select the node or leaf node,  we press a button below the tree design and perform some operation on the node selected.
But how to get information that on Application , which node or leaf node has been slected ?
    Thanks
    PG

    Hi,
    Found the solution.
Juts keep on reading all the nodes, system gives the complete path of the tree by using Lead selection and then we can use this path to peform the update operation on tree structure.
    Thanks alot for the hint.

The problem is resolved. A patch(IY73937) for cluster was required.
    Thanks and regards

  • Fail to find the file include

I am building a game and I just simply use a txt file to store the level reached.
Everything goes smooth but today I find something wrong.
I have included a levelrecord.txt in the included files section in iphone iOS setting.
But I find that after the app was installed, the apps can't read the number inside the text file, so I write the following codes to test in my iphone.
    var testfile:File = File.applicationStorageDirectory.resolvePath("levelrecord.txt");
    showtesttext.text=String(testfile.exists);
    It returns False.
But after I play the first level, the text file is updated and then the above codes return True. And the apps can successfully update the level.
However, if I uninstall the app and reinstall it, the problem comes again and the number had to be read after I play the first level.
Did I accidentally change any settings therefore my text file is not included in installation? Because it works before, but I don't know when it started to have problem...
    Thank you very much!

  • Wd: failed to find the client

    Hello!
I'm using linux-ck-corex kernel and systemd. I'm having problems with watchdog (I guess so).
I can't figure how to fix that error… that error is showing up in journal.
Maybe someone has an idea how to fix this error?
    Cheers

  • CRS-0184: Cannot communicate with the CRS daemon.

I am getting teh foll error when starting up a database
    [oracle@linux2 ~]$ srvctl start database -d orcl
PRKH-1010 : Unable to communicate with CRS services.
    [oracle@linux2 ~]$ product/crs/bin/crs_start -all
CRS-0184: Cannot communicate with the CRS daemon.
From the available information on the net, I have already tried the below steps.
    a) Deleted all the files from /var/tmp/.oracle
    b) Ensured that the deamon is running
    [oracle@linux2 ~]$ ps -ef | grep crs
    root 6192 1 0 15:31 ? 00:00:00 /bin/sh /etc/init.d/init.crsd run
    oracle 1284 9630 0 16:02 pts/1 00:00:00 grep crs
    c) The foll lines are already added to the /etc/inittab file
    h1:3:respawn:/sbin/init.d/init.evmd run >/dev/null 2>&1 </dev/null
    h2:3:respawn:/sbin/init.d/init.cssd fatal >/dev/null 2>&1 </dev/null
    h3:3:respawn:/sbin/init.d/init.crsd run >/dev/null 2>&1 </dev/null
Plz help. I'm still getting the error on one node of the Cluster.

    [oracle@linux2 bin]$ crsctl check crs
    Failure 1 contacting CSS daemon
    Cannot communicate with CRS
    Cannot communicate with EVM
The node is setup on RHEL 4u7 (2.6.9-78.0.13.ELsmp)
The first error in the crsd.log file says
2009-11-05 06:07:57.196: [  CRSOCR][3086907072]0OCR api procr_open_key failed for key CRS.CUR. OCR error code = 4 OCR error msg: PROC-4: The cluster registry key to be operated on does not exist.
Also, I have the '/u02/oradata/orcl' for the OCR and the CSS Files. On thsi node this directory is empty.
Whereas on the other node in the sam cluster, thsi directory contains the OCR and CSS files and their mirrors.
Is my OCR corrupted on thsi node? How can I restore it??
