Crstal Report giving error

I have used SAP crystal 2013 in my application. When I install the exe in client machine it is giving an error "Crystal Report satop working". (I have installed Sap crystal 2013 in client machine)

Scheduled discoverer report giving error

Hi All,
I am facing a problem where in I have scheduled a report. The table populated after scheduling is fetching data but when we try to open the scheduled report it gives an error ' Inconsistent datatype expected number got date '.
We are using a function in the report which fetches a date colomn and return type of that date used is Varchar(2). We also tried using the return type as date but same error comes.

i have similar problem - i have some calculated columns in the report.....when i schedule it the values in one column are getting populated in the other column.....if i run the report manually i did not have any problem.
i had a small calculation for a column (date)....user wanted to see it in a different format in the report.....
already that column was existing in the folder but in a different format......but upon users request i just put up a small calculation for that...........
i scheduled the report and ironically only that calculated column (date) was getting populated wrong........so i pulled the normal date column from the folder..........and now i have two columns for date (1-calculated, 2 - from folder)..........1st column is anyhow getting populated wrong....but the 2nd column was pretty good........
many of you might know....."*IDLE MAN'S BRAIN IS A DEVILS WORKSHOP*"....
i formatted the 1st column with white color and kept the background color also as white......so that when the user opens the scheduled report.....he will see only a blank white column for the 1st column............i told him to export it to excel and then delete that blank column and save your excel output..
i know this is the worst solution or idea anyone can get.........but i had to do it.

Newbie to BI Publisher..preview report giving error msg in word 2007..

Hi,
I am new to BI Report. I have installed BI Publisher standalone 10.3.4.1..Generated sample XML file...created report on Bi Publisher and now when I try to do preview it gives me an error message saying that I need to check the path of the file
'D:\Documents and Settings\swatee.jain\Local Settings\Application Data\Oracle\BIPublisher\TemplateBuilderforWord\tmp\441274806764750out.rtf'.
When I go to this location and click on the rtf file..I see my report...Am I missing some word setting....I am not able to generate any BI report...Any help would be appreciated...

We found out what the problem is.
The report was using a wizard table, the table had 8 columns that actually went past the margins of the page. The built in renderer for PDF in the BI publisher desktop does not fail, but the report columns do "fall" off the page when you look close, just by a few characters on the last column but the line making the box around the table IS still printed making the last few characters missing difficult to notice.
The BI Publisher render simply throws the error above and fails.
We removed 2 columns, made sure the report stays in the margins of the report and all works well now.

I was using dsn in ms odbc for oracle driver to connect the DB. Now in 10.0 i have removed the query file created using 8.5 query builder and trying to write directly to command editor. the report as stand alone is working fine. but when i try to generate the pdf using my vb application then on .export option it is giving error as "Logon failed.
Details: 01S00:[Microsoft][ODBC driver for Oracle]Invalid connection string attribute". i think the problem might be with cddb_oracle.dll or crdb_oracle.dll file as i am using a evaluation version of crystal report 10. as input to dsn i am providing

Well, you can migrate, you can not upgrade (semantics I suppose). E.g.; the RDC was deprecated in CR XI r1 and retired in CR 2008. Thus there is no way for you to upgrade to version 12 of the RDC as there is no such thing. So, from here, you have two options: migrate / port the app to .NET, or Java SDKs.

Why this query is giving error in report

I have a simple query ...
SELECT &P_FLEXDATA C_FLEXDATA,
CHART_OF_ACCOUNTS_ID C_NUM
FROM GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS
It is running fine in SQL prompt but when I create it as a report query then it is giving error: ORA-00904 "C_FLEXDATA": invalid identifier
Please advise ....

You are using a "lexical" reference in the SQL query (&P_FLEXDATA).
You must set a default value for P_FLEXDATA in order the SQL Query to be parsed successfuly

HFM reports giving "Access Denied" error

Hi All,
I am in a really critical situation.
I am getting "Access Denied" error on accessing any of HFM reports through web or FR studio...all planning reports are working fine...
I think the DCOM settings have some problem...
FR is not able to communicate with HFM cluster
can anyone suggest resolution for this..

Cause:
Financial Reporting Studio is not able to locate the HFM cluster.
Testing also determined that the HFM client could not connect to the HFM cluster.
The HFM cluster was not correctly configured.
Solution:
Set up the HFM cluster on the FR Studio machine.
1. Go to Start > All Programs > Hyperion >Financial Management >Server and Web Configuration
2. Go to the Server/Cluster Registration tab.
3. Enter the computer name of the HFM server used to get cluster information or the name of the single server if using a non-clustered environment. The HFM server needs to be referenced exactly as it is on the HFM server (hostname/IP/FQDN/clustername, as well as case-sensitivity for any letters).
4. Apply and OK.
5. Restart FR Studio.
Important!: Make sure that you Enable DCOM on the Server/Cluster Registration tab.

The Financial Reporting Reports Server, Financial Reporting Web Server, and the Financial Reporting Studio workstation must be configured against the same HFM cluster or single server. The cluster or server name must be registered with Shared Services.
Solution:
Verify that Financial Management configuration on the Financial Reporting Reports Server, Financial Reporting Web Server, and the local desktop match the configuration on the Financial Management servers, as follows:
From the Start Menu, select Programs: Oracle EPM: Foundation: EPM Configurator.*
Select Financial Management.
Make the necessary changes on each machine so that it matches the HFM server configuration.

Reporting Unit Error in EEO report OUTPUT

For EEO report , I've created Address sequence in Table T5UAD and have created Reporting units Type - I in V_T5URU table.
Have also maintained the Reporting Unit and all other required entries in Table V_T5U0P against all US Pers. Areas and Subareas , but when I run the report , I am getting this error
*No reporting unit found in T5URU FOR UNIT NUMBER T548198*
STARNGE part is that this reporting Unit is available in V_T5URU when I go and check the table.
I've deleted it and maintained it again also , but still getting this error.
CAN ANYONE SUGGEST WHAT IS WRONG?
How can I fix this issue?
Any inputs are very highly appreciated as I could not find on Google .....

Thanks for your reply , but as per information provided by my client , same reporting units say T58591 is being used for both VETS as well as EEO , so I used I option insead of E or V as I cannot define the same reporting unit twice in the table with same name .
Its working fine for almost all other reporting units except for 2 of them ... for which reports giving the error that reporting unit is missing in T5URU but I can see the entry available in this table.
Any Idea why is this happening?

Query Saving takes long time and giving error

Hi Gurus,
I am creating one query that have lot of calculations (CKF & RKF).
When I am trying to save this query it is taking long time and it is giving error like RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE, Query Designer must be restarted, further work not possible.

Assign authorization for roles
To assign authorizations for a role, execute the following steps:
1. Start Transaction Role maintenance (PFCG)
2. Select a role
3. Choose the "Change" switch

5. Choose the "Change authorization data" switch
6. Choose "+ Manually" switch
7. Enter "S_USER_AGR" as "Authorization object"
8. Expand "Basis: Administration"/"Authorization: Role check""
9. From "Activity" select "Create or generate" and others like "Display" or "Change"
10. Under "Role Name", enter all roles that are supposed to be shown or changed. Enter "*" for all roles.
11. You can re-enter authorization object "S_USER_AGR" for other activities.
Assign authorization for transactions
If a user is granted the authorization for changing a role, he/she should also be granted the authorization for all transactions contained in the role. Add these transaction codes to authorization object S_USER_TCD.
1. Start the role maintenance transaction (PFCG).
2. Select a role.
3. Click on "Change".
4. Choose the "Authorizations" tab.
5. Click on "Change authorization data".
6. Click on "+ manually".
7. Specify "S_USER_TCD" as "Authorization object".
8. Expand "Basis - Administration"/"Authorizations: Transactions in Roles".
9. Under "Transaction", choose at least "RRMX" (for BW reports), "SAP_BW_TEMPLATE" (for BW Web Templates), "SAP_BW_QUERY" (for BW Queries and/or "SAP_BW_CRYSTAL" (for Crystal reports) or "*". Values with "SAP_BW_..." are not transactions, they are special node types (see transaction code NODE_TYPE_DEFINITION).
Using the SAP System Trace (Transaction ST01), you can identify the transaction that causes NOT_AUTHORIZED.
Prevent user assignment
Having the authorization for changing roles, the user is not only able to change the menu but also to assign users. If you want to prevent the latter, the user must loose the authorization for Transactions User Maintenance (SU01) and Role maintenance (PFCG).

I am using Crystal Reporter Integration add-on 2.0.07 to show crystal report but getting
" an error has occurred in the script on this page error "
Installed in PC-
1) FRAMEWORK 3.5 SP 1
2) CRYSTAL REPORT 2008 RUNTIME SP1
3) XP SP 3

On server report working fine but at all clients pc crystal report addon giving error for selection parameter .
