Hello world -
My daughter purchased an ipod mini a few months ago. It's a mini click wheel version apparently but I have no knowledge on these machines (pick-up player in the attic is my music source!).
There is now a problem with her player as the screen/dsiplay has gone blank. Despite pushing all buttons, resetting, rebooting, re-verything, no text or symbols on the disply at all. It sometimes lights up (backlight) but then this disappears again.
I have a dog which won't go out because of the cold weather and a daughter who is desperate to find out what is wrong with her ipod. Two bad moods in one household is more than a man can take! Who can give me a clue as to what is wrong with the display or who has had similar experience (not with dogs, by the way) and can give me some advice.

Welcome to the Discussions.
First of all, let's make sure that you do the reset process correctly.
How to reset the ipod. Try several times, as it doesn't always work on the first attempt (or even the 4th!)
Then if the iPod is still not responding, try restoring the iPod to factory settings. Make sure that you are able to replace the music on the iPod because this process erases the iPod hard drive.
With both these things make sure the battery has a good charge.

Hi, this is really a cry for help in the vain hope there is somebody at bt who cares about my broadband issue. Returned from holiday to find dsl light off on modem, did all the resets / power cycles but initially told a week ago it was an issue in my area and would return next day, then told it was a fault on line, then told it was a fault at exchange, now told its an issue in my area. Saw a Open Reach guy in my road, he said its rubbish and there is signal in the cabinet. Just spent half an hour on hold to level 2 support but they put phone down on me REALLY FED UP!!!

You should be able to go > App Store > App store (menu) > store > view my account > sign in. Where do you vary after following this point. In between ID summary and Settings should be a section marked iTunes in the cloud and directly below but within that section, the message we are seeking.
I'm not doubting you, just don't see why you have this problem.

Hello, I have songs that show they are "Waiting" for download from the cloud but they are greyed out. Some songs in one album are done others in the same album will not download. It is not a time function because i have been working on this for weeks. I have allowed my compter to run for days and the songs are still not accessible. I have a Match subscription and Match is working. If I click on the "Genre" link the greyed out songs show that they are ready for download from the cloud but I cannot download them. I have downloaded over 1500 other songs, so I am trying to understand what is going on here. I would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

I did think about that and if I have to I will do that, however there are about 50 songs. I have closed and reopened iTunes several times and I am sure that I have the latest version. It fails right away but I can click on the cloud download icon and download the song that it failed on ... therefore it is not that song "or any one song" causing the issue. Any ideas?

It depends on fact that when you want to create the incentive.
If you want to create at the time of invoicing, then you have to enhance event R402.
If you want to create at the time of payment, the you have to enhance event 0032.

Could you please share us the WindowsUpdate.log file here?
From the information youposted, it seems to be Windows Update can't check for the updates, you may try to run Windows Update Troubleshooter first, it that didn't help, run the following command using the Windows 10 9926 ISO to repair:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image
/RestoreHealth /source:WIM:F:\sources\install.wim:1
/LimitAccess
F: Drive stands for the mounted Windows 10 build 9926 ISO.

A tiny little cry for help: mic in bootcamp makes me sound like a mouse!

I posted this on the InsanelyMac forum, and I thought I'd post it here too because I'm just that desperate for help... thanks in advance for reading.
I run a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo. When Snow Leopard came out I installed it and partitioned my drive to allow me to run Windows via bootcamp for the purpose of playing Aion with my husband.
The game works fine, although it only works correctly when I'm hooked to my large Dell monitor. The built-in display makes the mouse/cursor not function correctly in-game.
But that's relatively minor... the biggest problem is that the built-in mic, as well as any mic I plug into the Line In, makes me sound like a mouse when I speak. I SO don't want to be known as the squeaky mouse over ventrilo. (The problem occurs in a regular sound recorder too, so it is NOT ventrilo specific).
The audio device is listed as Intel High Definition Audio: Device ID 0x83847680, Audio ID 30 - whatever that means.
When I dive into the Control Panel audio preferences when booted into Windows, the driver is listed as IDT audio.
Audio output seems to function perfectly.
I would sure appreciate help if anyone has expertise or experience with this sort of thing. I'm at a little bit of a loss.

Hey, I had a thought, I don't know if it'll work and won't get the chance to find out until later tonight if I'm not too tired or until later tomorrow.
I think that if the IDT drivers aren't installed in the first place, perhaps the issue can be averted entirely. However, it's going to take a bit of knowledge to do and some patience. The partition will need to be remade entirely so that one may end up with a fresh operating system. When the SL disk is put into the computer, instead of running the full driver setup, pick the drivers directly off the disk by exploring its folders and only install the ones you need. Instead of using the IDT drivers, I believe the SL disk also has Realtek HD audio drivers (if I remember correctly from the last time I looked). My thought is that this manual method can prevent having to deal with the IDT drivers which I believe are part of the issue.
I understand that reinstalling XP is a process in itself, but this is the only solution I can think of. If manually installing doesnt work, my next move would be to use the drivers that come off the Leopard disk instead of the SL disk.
Like I said, this is just a thought I have so when I get to it later I'll let you know how it goes unless you decide to give it a try before me.
