Crying since I blew stuff up help

Question

Hey I was overclocking my ram (bad idea right) and now my computer won't boot or beep unless the ram is removed (then it just beeps of course)
its Corsair PC3200 256 MB 400 FSB RAM X2
I at one point tried 500 FSB overclock and it didn't boot, reset CMOS, booted fine, left it at 466 or so and then the last good boot that worked but then I upped the CPU FSB by another 5 Mhz and then the sys wouldn't boot even after I reset the CMOS
anyone have any ideas that don't involve me buying new ram?
I don't think I know anyone with RAM that will go in my comp or a MB that can test my RAM out...

Normally, if you have destroyed memory, you will hear it "pop", smell a faint odour, and be able to see physical damage on one of the chips. This would look like a circlular impact tremor in the plastic - sorry only way I can think to describe it.
While increasing the operating frequency does generate more heat and component stress, it is highly unlikely that this will cause component failure unless combined with an increase in Voltage. The usual result of attempting to run memory too fast is for the memory no to recognise the signals and consequently fail to respond.
Suggest it is just a CMOS resetting problem, try bilnv method and report back.
