Crystal 2008 visual studio components

Good Afternoon All,
I have a licensed copy of visual studio.net 2005.
I have a licensed copy of crystal 11 r 2.
I have a licensed copy of crystal reports basic 2008 (came with SAP Business One as we are a partner).
My version of visual studio has crystal component: crystal desicions engine 10.2
I want to get up to crystal component in visual studio upgraded to crystal desicions engine version 12.
Where can I get the most recent vs.net crystal component?

Crystal Reports Basic 2008 usually references the 10.5 that comes with Visual Studio 2008. Unfortunately I do not know off hand what version is in SAP Business One,. However I noticed at this page: https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/downloads?rid=/library/uuid/d0a0c14b-0e20-2b10-939b-e93a19f14c12
Contains the Crystal 2008 add-in for Business one and its install instructions if followed will get the .NET runtime installed.

Updating the existing Crystal report Visual Studio Restart

i am using crystal report in my application. Now i want to update some report but when i Change the report like rearrange the field in group the
Visual Studio stop working and Restarted . I am using VS 2012 & the latest version of SAP crystal report CRforVS_13_0_9.
I also try to put the report in another single solution to change the report but it arise the same problem, i try this in VS 2010, VS 2012, VS2013.
i also try to another OS Win Server 2008 -> Win 7, but not working. Can anyone help me..?

If you have CR from VS 2005 or VS 2008 on this computer, uninstall those. For now, uninstall CRforVS. Search for craxddrt.dll on the whole hard drive. If you find any, delete them. Now reinstall CRforVS.

How to hide gray borders in Crystal reports Visual Studio 2013

Hi All,
I have a web application in ASP.NET 2013.
I'm using latest developer version of Crystal reports.
When I run the report, I see gray borders around the actual report.
This was not the case with Crystal reports in Visual Studio 2005.
How can I hide these gray borders in Crystal reports ASP.NET Visual studio 2013?

Group Tree issue when refreshing- Crystal for Visual Studio 2010 WPF Viewer

Hello,
We've run into an issue when refreshing reports with the WPF viewer for Visual Studio 2010. After the report is refreshed, the Group Tree is blank and it should have values. For example, you run a report and see values in the Group Tree. If you refresh the report with the same parameter values the Group Tree is blank.
Has anyone run into this yet?

That is correct.
I just did a quick test and was not able to reproduce the issue.
Details of test:
1) Create a new app;
File | New | Project
Visual Basic | reporting -> Crystal Reports WPF Application
2) Add the "Open File" button to the viewer (ShowOpenFileButton off of the WPF viewer properties)
3) Run app
4) Browse to a report that has a number of groups >250
5) Refresh report using the Refresh button on the viewer
I'll work on this a bit later today, see if I can repro it another way. Meanwhile, can you provide mode details (code) on how you repro the issue?

Crystal reports visual studio 2013. "Please wait while the document is being processed." Error

I am using Crystal Reports for VS 2010. The report is working fine but if you click on the next page or click on group tree,
the message “Please wait while the document is being processed.” comes. Never show next page.
Any ideas?

Crystal Reports Visual Studio 2010 Report Viewer Not Rendering

Hello,
I was able to get Crystal Reports deployed in a web application in VS 2008 OK, but now I am having trouble with CR and VS 2010. For some reason the data and images for the report are being displayed, but the report viewer controls and background are not. I am not getting red Xs, the viewer is just not there. I have tried changing my references, I have installed the CR run time, and all permissions are correct. I am trying to get this up and running on the local machine. Has anyone dealt with this problem before?

Crystal Report (visual studio 2005)-Hyperlink not working on exported PDF

I have created a crystal report by using VS 2005, there are some hyperlinks inside the report.
After i exported the report to PDF, I check the PDF file, none of the link contains inside the PDF file.
It seems a bug, i google this issue, some people can export to RTF first and then in RTF save as PDF, then the link should be there. I tried it, it works, but it totally mess up my report layout.

Crystal report Visual studio 2003 - report load failed. please help!!

Some Background -
Few months back my company has purchased a project which is developed in VS 2003 and on Framework 1.1 from a third party. This project is installed on user's machine (obviously with Framework 1.1).
Glitch is here u2013 VS2003
But now I need to make some amendments in this project, so I installed VS 2003 Enterprise Edition (Setup downloaded from MSDN) and when I open up this project u2013I couldnu2019t open some reports in design mode.
I get below errors u2013
Custom Tool Error : "Code generator 'ReportCodeGenerator' failed. Exception stack = CrystalDecisions.CrystalREports.Engine.LoadSAveReportException.Load Report Failed.
Then I tried to open same report in VS 2005 on Framework 2.0, I can open this report in design mode easily with no errors. In fact I installed Crystal report 9 on my machine and able to open this report in design mode.
Please could you help me, how to resolve this problem. How to refer Crystal 9 version references in VS 2003.

I believe this Crystal Reports managed assemblies are version 9.2.3300.

Visual Studio 2013 to open a Sage 50 Crystal Report (which is in 2008)

Is it possible to open a report using the latest runtimes and visual studio components (v13)?
I am trying to view a crystal report done in 2008 on a web site I'm creating. When I add the controls (CrystalReportViewer and CrystalReportSource with path to report) and run the page it asks me for credentials. I know I can programatically set them but I wanted to try to see if it worked at first. I plugged in the credentials and the popup for credentials kept coming back. It would never show the report.
I then tried programatically setting the login credentials and still would show the credentials popup.
Is this because of a version issue? Any ideas or suggestions? I only have visual studio 2013 and I'm hoping it's still possible to view the report on a web site.

Thansk for the quick reply.
I am able to access the database using the odbc connections even with a query tool used outside of their server. I have the ODBC set up and what not. I can edit the report using crystal report from outside the server as well. I am just pointing to the .rpt file so I thought it would be a CR version or component issue.
I will ask over there as well hoping for an answer that will help me solve this.

Crystal Reports 2008 crashes in Visual Studios Basic 2008

I have Visual Studio 2008 Basic with Crystal Reports 2008 (Full) running on Windows 7 Pro - 64-Bit. I am running VS in visual basic runtime and I encounter this problem very frequently, however not all the time.
What appears to be happening is when I have any one of my 11 solutions open and I try to open a crystal report, Visual Studio says that it has encountered a problem and needs to restart. This happens whether I am running the program as and administrator or not. After VS restartes and I open my solution again, I attempt to open the same report and it opens without crashing.
This seems to be a direct problem with Windows 7 and crystal reports, because I never had this problem while developing these solution in Windows XP.

Make sure you have applied Visual Studio 2008 SP1.
Make sure you have Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 applied (unless you are using datasets with date time fields, then apply SP1).

Connecting Visual Studio 2008 to Team Foundation Server 2012/2013

I currently have many projects in VS 2008.
We are able to build and deliver all of the products to the production servers.
I want to connect VS2008 to VisualStudio.com so I can create an environment for Beta Testing with VisualStudio.com and Azure.
I have started from scratch:
Build a VMWare Virtual Machine - Windows 7 Ultimate
Added all of the Windows Updates
I installed Visual Studio 2008 - Professional
I updated Visual Studio 2008 to SP1
I have installed VS2008 Team Explorer
Unable to install GDR2 - with message "Visual Studio Team System 2008 Database Edition GDR does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your system. '
I attempted to follow the "more information" instructions but there were no previous version to uninstall.
I attempted to login to Team Foundation Server (https://nnnnnn.visualstudio.com/DefaultCollection) and receive the "TF31002: Unable to connect to ....
I am able to login to the visualstudio.com site without any issue.
I have been working on this for days and no matter what I have read and tried, I cannot seem to get past this point.
I tried using a laptop I have and did the same steps as above with the same results.
It is obvious I am missing a step or that this process is longer possible.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Is there a "support" number that might help me resolve this?

CrystalReportsViewer not in toolbox for Visual Studio

First, the bad news:
I am working in Visual Studio 2002 and Crystal Reports 9.
I upgraded my server to Windows Server 2003, and CR9 just does not want to work correctly in this (it does not put the dll's into the assembly).
So I have the demo version of CR12 (CR2008) and that does put the dll's into the assembly. But now I cannot find the CrystalReportsViewer control in any toolbox. I have also tried adding it into the toolbox, but it is not listed in either the COM tab or the .NET Framwork Components tab (whereas the CR9 version is listed in the framework tab).
How can I get the CrystalReportsViewer for CR12 (CR2008) into my project?

Hi Jagdip,
CR 2008 is not supported in .NET 2002. You'll have to upgrade to .NET 2005.You'll also run into problems with the version of the framework. .NET 2002 was originally using 1.0 framework so you may run into problems there.
I suggest if you are going to upgrade to CR 2008 then you should also upgrade .NET to 2005 or 2008.

Visual Studio Visual Basic 6.0 Professional - License

Hi,
As per the information available online, Visual Basic 6.0 is not supported by Microsoft.
Query: This product (Visual Basic 6.0 Professional) was being used with Windows XP and now as part of migration will be moved to Windows 7. Can you please confirm if we need license for this ?

Hello Sunny,
As you already see, VB 6.0 is not longer supported by Microsoft. And it is also not officially supported to be installed on Win 7.
If you installed it on Win 7, we cannot provide you any help if you meet any problem. Not to say the licenses. It will be better for you to choose a version of Visual Studio that is supported on Win 7, like Visual Studio 2008, Visual Studio 2010 and
so on.

Visual Studio 2005 deploy Crystal Report to Windows Server 2008 64-bit

I've read a lot of posts here regarding deploying on a 64-bit server, but I'm still confused.
We use Visual Studio 2005 to develop on a Windows XP machine. We use the built-in version of Crystal that comes with VS2005.
We want to deploy the runtime to a Windows Server 2008 running 64-bit. We want to deploy using the msi runtime components and not the merge modules.
We end up with the message "An error has occurred while attempting to load Crystal Reports".
So, the question is, can we build & deploy a 64-bit version, and if so, what are we doing wrong here ? At first glance, I don't see VS 2005 as listing Windows 2008 as a supported platform, so am I dead in the water right there ? If that's the case .... then what are my options ?
Any help or pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated !

In a nut shell, the only two 64 bit versions of Crystal Reports are 10.2 (bundles with .NET 2005) and 10.5 (bundles with .NET 2008). All other versions of Crystal Reports are 32 bit only.
