Crystal Developer XI R2 - keydecoder error message

Question

I've been using Crystal Developer XI R2 on my computer for almost 2 years without any problems.  About a year ago I loaded Visual Studio 2005 which had it's basic version of Crystal XI installed.  This morning I decided to uninstall Visual Studio 2005 because I wasn't using it and was planning to upgrade to 2008 in the near future.
After I ran the uninstall for Visual Studio, my Developer version of Crystal is giving me problems.  Every time I run it, it prompts me to enter a key code.  When I go to Help | License Manager it gives me an error that it can't find keydecoder.dll.  I've searched for the file and it's where I think it should be - c:\program files\business objects\common\3.5\bin.  I checked the registry and it's pointing to this location.
Anyone have any ideas?  It's a pain typing in the keycode each time.

Looks like I found part of my answer.  I looked before but didn't see this SAP Note.
Anyway....  here is the answer in case anyone else needs it.  I don't have to enter the keycode everytime but I still get the keydecoder not found in License Manager.  Guess I live with that though
Symptom
In Crystal Reports XI, a prompt requesting a keycode appears every time the application is started. After entering the keycode, the application works normally.
Cause
This behavior occurs because the keycode does not exist in the registry.
Resolution
CAUTION
     The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files before you edit the registry. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys And Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
To resolve this behavior
   1. Click Start > Run. The Run dialog box appears.
   2. Type "regedit" in the Open field. Click OK. The Registry Editor appears.
   3. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\<Crystal Reports version>.
      If it doesn't exist, manually add it.
   4. Right-click the version folder (for example CR Dev). Click Permissions. Verify the administrator has Full Control permission.
   5. Start Crystal Reports. Type the keycode when prompted.
   6. Click View > Refresh in the Registry Editor.
   7. Verify that the default string value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\Keycodes\<Crystal Reports version> is now populated.
      The string will consist of the keycode followed by two sets of numbers.
   8. Close Crystal Reports.
   9. Start Crystal Reports.
The keycode prompt will no longer be displayed.
