Crystal report not showing correctly in firefox after windows update

From the past six months, crystal reports has been displayed without the print toolbar and the formatting is completely lost in firefox. Previously we found that when we uninstall the windows updates KB2836942, KB2836943, KB2836946, KB2836947, the problem is resolved. But with more and more windows updates that are automatically updated on the servers, it is getting practically impossible to track which windows update creates the problem. There is absolutely no issue in Chrome, IE and Opera; it is only with firefox that this problem occurs; so we feel it is more of a firefox issue than a windows update problem. It is not just in one machine, but we found the same issue at all our customer's servers (more than 10). The servers are a mix of windows 2008, windows 2012 with iis 7. We also observed the same problem on windows 7 machines. We have been recommending firefox as the best browser for our software to all our customers, and with this problem cropping up, we are badly handicapped. Kindly let us know how to sort this issue. We have provided the link below for your perusal. When you open it in chrome it works fine, but on firefox it does not display correctly:
http://54.209.141.3/Reports/Report.aspx?reportname=RptProductWiseSalesDetails.rpt&paramlist=@FromDat,01/01/2011;@ToDat,01/26/2014;@BranchSlno,1;@FranchiseSlno,1;@FirstCol,B;@DateType,B;@SaleChannel,A;@ProductTypeSlno,0;@ProductSlno,6;@ColorSlno,0;@FinancierSlno,0;@ChannelTypeSlno,0;@ChannelSlno,0;@SalesPersonSlno,0;@SaleStatus,L;@BillingType,A;@LoginUser,admin;@LoginBranch,Keerthi%20Triumph%20Bangalore;@Franchise,Triumph;@AddCustomerDetail,0;@SaleCodeSuffix,&loadfromsql=0

Those four updates all relate to the .Net framework, and involve how an ASP.Net application recognizes different browsers.

I think the downside of turning off the changes is that IE 11 will not be well supported.

  • The web site of Adobe does not show correctly in FireFox

    I have a bizarre problem.  The site of Adobe (including where I can download the flash player) does not show correctly in FireFox and I only see it as a text HTML page, but without most images (typically, for instance, I do not see the image "Download now" but see a text line "Dowload now", and so on...
    This seems to specifically affect the Adobe web site as I have no problme for other web sites (so far).
    It is something specific to FireFox as  I do have the problem with Internet Explorer.
    The problem persis even if I restart FireFox without any add-on (safe mode).
    Any suggestion ?

    Does this only happen in Firefox?  What do you see with Internet Explorer or Chrome?  If it is only Firefox, I'd try these steps in this order:
    1. Clear your cookies and cache
    2. Reset your Firefox settings
    3. Make a new profile

  • Website suddenly not appearing correctly in Firefox under Windows 7

    I've had a website running for a couple of years now with no problems, but one of my clients sent me an email saying it's not appearing correctly on her system, Windows 7 runnning Firefox v. 15. I am on a MAC and have looked at the site on 4 different browsers and it looks fine, I also installed Firefox (v. 16) on a PC running Windows 7 and it looks fine there. Near as I recall I haven't made any changes to the site's structure, so I'm stumped. The website is http://www.horizonwings.org. Can anyone help? I've attached a couple of screen captures showing what she sees. Thank you.

    I see the same problem as your client in Firefox 16 on Windows 7. To fix the problem, add clear: left to the style for leftColMain
    #leftColMain {
        clear: left;     float: left;
        padding: 30px 0 0;
        position: relative;
        width: 210px;

  • Crystal reports 11: Values displayed in crystal report not showing in VB6

    Hi!
    I updated an existing lower version of crystal report 7 to crystal report 11. Changes are the following:
    1. sql query in VB6 to add fields
    2. sql query in crystal report to manipulate values and not use formula. crx11 doesn't allow summary/total in formula fields.
    3. report orientation
    4. additional fields to view
    5. font sizes, length, can grow properties, etc.
    When I tested it directly in crx 11, all fields/values are displaying correctly. When I integrated it in VB 6 using Crystal ActiveX Report Viewer Library 11.0 and CR Viewer object, the field is blank.
    I've tried several checking like field suppressions, conditional suppressions, etc.
    By the way, I also have a report using a subrepot with conditional suppressions. Same thing is happening. The subreport data only displays the alloted space but does not show values in VB6.
    Thank you in advance for your help.

    Thanks for your response.
    Before I read your response, I tried tweaking my reports and was able to resolve the issue.
    Steps taken to solve the issue are the following:
    a. Value not showing one field of four (4) reports.
    Solution: I created new ones and integrate it in VB 6. The values are now showing. Tweaked on the line object properties, got a problem with the extended line but solved it by adjusting the height of the detail section.
    b. Value not showing in sub-report.
    Solution: My report used a shared variable so I can pass the condition to my sub-report. I used the new reports and just pass a query during runtime. The values in the subreport is still not showing. I added a formula and called the value in it. Values in the subreport is now showing.
    I'll try to update the crystal reports version as suggested at a later time.

  • Crystal Report not showing details when analysis authorizations are used

    We have a crystal report that is filter by company code. Analysis authorizations have been created for each company code as well as one for all (* access). In bex the report runs fine with the analysis authorizations. In crystal if the test user has the * analysis authorization the report runs correctly. If the test user has a specific company code the details section of the report does not display

    I may be a little slow here but if the user does not have the access he should not be able to see the details or am I missing something here?

  • Crystal Report not showing up during deployment for CRVS2010

    Hi,
    Have encountered problem when deploying Crystal Report using VB 2010. The report is able to show up during ASP.net development using VS 2010 but when i try to deploy on a IIS server, the report is just showing a blank page when trying to view using an Explorer on the client side. I'm using Window XP IIS 5.1 web server.
    Have tried doing VB setup and installing the merge module CRruntime_13_0_1 but still not working.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

    While the supported platform text says that Microsoft  IIS5.1 is supported, I'm a bit dubious as CR 2008 (v. 12.x) did not support IIS5.1. See [KB 1494954 - Crystal Reports 2008 DHTML viewer for VS .NET is blank when displayed on a web form|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333433393334333933353334%7D.do].
    I'll check with Program Management and get back with a definitive answer.

  • SAP Crystal Reports not showing up in Safari?

    I am trying to get to access my business Crystal Reports from home on my Mac in Safari, I am able to log in and see my choices, but the reports are coming up with the little blue lego logo with the question mark in the middle. I can access from work on PC but not on Mac. Any ideas?
    Thanks

    If it's actual crystal reports try the viewer, if it's a crystal reports driven website try changing changing User Agent to IE 6. If your Safari doesn't have Develop in menubar go to Preferences/Advanced and check Show Develop.
    I have to do this with a website that uses a crystal backed website.

  • Bex Query calc key figures in Crystal report not showing technical names.

    Hi,
    I have created calculated key figures in a BEx query for which the data comes from a SAP BW cube. I have assigned each of the calculated key figures a proper technical name which I expect to see when I bring it to crystal report. When I bring that query in Crystal as a data source the calculated key figures show a wier network id names instead of the technical names. I am having a problem in using those wierd technical name in my report and my formula's as I am not able to identify what is what.
    Please urgent help requested.
    Thanks
    Mahendra

    I dont have an account on such website. I will explain u the problem in detail.
    When I create a calculate key figure in SAP BEx query designer I assigned a technical name to it, a meaningful one. In my case one such example is Actual_revenue is the name that i have assigned and the description is Actual revenue. When I create a crystal report from it and in that report if i create a formula.
    I get this {ZIC_COPA_Z_SALES.[Measures]-[25V1KYL4VE92X0T4OMHVYM90V]}
    If u see it its a wier 25 digit name.
    Instead of this I want to see
    {ZIC_COPA_Z_SALES.[Measures]-[ACTUAL_REVENUE]} which is what I have given in the query. I am using the SAP BW MDX driver to connect to Bex query.

  • Crystal Report not showing fields when connected to a stored procedure

    I have a Stored Procedure that returns results when run in SQL Server, but when I add this to a Crystal Report it doesn't show any fields in the Field Explorer. But if I try any other SP, it works fine and I can see its fields.
    As you can see in the picture below, I am unable to expand the fields in the report while creating the report using standard report procedure too.
    I tried different ways, but nothing worked for me here. Please help me here.
    (FYI, I am using Crystal Reports 2008, SQL Server 2008R2)

    Hi Jamie,
    I just found out the reason for this issue.
    I wrote the stored procedure using the fields in the Datamart but the fields in the datamart in backend are connected to a different database which doesn't have SQL Server Authentication (for the Credentials) and that's the reason I was getting this issue.
    Once my BI team granted the permission, for that fields connecting to the backend database, I was able to see all fields in the Crystal Report.

  • Gray color background in PDF exported from Crystal Report not printing correctly in Digital Printer (CMYK)

    I am processing a crystal report on RAS server,and exporting it to PDF, using the RAS Dlls.
    Dim Report As ReportClientDocument
    Dim crExportData As New ByteArray
    Dim crExportType As CrReportExportFormatEnum
    crExportType = CrReportExportFormatEnum.crReportExportFormatPDF
    crExportData = Report.PrintOutputController.Export(crExportType)
    A gray background is applied to an object in crystal report, with RGB color code (216,216,216).
    On exporting this report to pdf, the color appears as required.
    However, when printing this PDF in a digital printer (uses CMYK color format), the color changes to Pinkish Gray.
    The color remains gray as required, in other printers.
    Is there any way to make the exported PDF CMYK compliant?
    Please help.

    From the info, I have no idea what version of .NET and CR you are using...
    How is the printing from the CR designer?
    How is the printing to another printer, say HP?
    Do you have the latest updates for Digital Printer (CMYK) installed?
    How does a plain pic with grey background print from a .NET app? (E.g.; is this a CR issue, or a framework issue? See:

  • Report not showing correct results

    I am new to SSRS.  Using SQL 2008, Visual Studio 2010 shell.
    I have a stored procedure that when I execute it through SSMS, it returns the correct results.  However, when my report runs through SSRS (using the same stored procedure).  I get inconsistent results.
    I've been able to narrow it down to a specific parameter in my report where I pass in Id's.  This particular parameter gets its values from a query and is setup to use multiple values.  I have focused on two ID's which together are giving
    me problems.
    The IDs are !'" and
    !!T.
    When I ONLY select !'" the report returns the correct results.
    When I ONLY select !!T the report return the correct results.
    When I select !'" and !!T the report only return the results for !!T.
    I have no clue why SSRS doesn't like this.  Any help would be appreciated.

    I created the specific function referenced in your link and it didn't help.
    Function
    CREATE FUNCTION [dbo].[c__SplitValues]

    @List nvarchar(2000)
    ,@SplitOn nvarchar(2000)

    -- Add the column definitions for the TABLE variable here
    Id int identity(1,1)
    ,Value nvarchar(100)
    AS
    BEGIN
    -- Fill the table variable with the rows for your result set
    While(CHARINDEX(@SplitOn, @List) > 0)
    BEGIN
    INSERT INTO @RtnValue (value)
    SELECT
    VALUE = LTRIM(RTRIM(SUBSTRING(@List, 1, CHARINDEX(@SplitOn, @List) - 1)))
    SET @List = SUBSTRING(@List, CHARINDEX(@SplitOn, @List) + LEN(@SplitOn), LEN(@List))
    END
    INSERT INTO @RtnValue (Value)
    SELECT Value = LTRIM(RTRIM(@List))
    RETURN
    END
    The line in my SQL statement where I use this function
    AND TableName.UserId IN (SELECT Value FROM dbo.c__SplitValues(@UserId,','))
