Crystal report using ABAP from SAP ECC6.0 EHP 3.0

Hi Gurus,
Can i create crystal report using ABAP in SAP ECC 6.0 EHP 3 . as i am not able to see this link in SPRO.
IMG > SAP NetWeaver > Application Server > SAP List Viewer > Maintain SAP GUI Specific Settings.
Kindly guide me urgently.

It is possible to use Crystal Reports from ALV.

The ABAP however is not covered that much.

How to connect Crystal Report 2008 server with SAP BI/BW server

Hi ,
I have downloaded the 60 Days trial version of "Crystal Report 2008 Server' from sap site to my machine. Now i would like to connect this Crystal server with SAP BI and want to use the data of BI Bex queries and Infoproviders.
Can you please guide me how to connect them?
Aslo how can i get the free trial version of Intergration kit ..here please provide me the entire full path of site(to download the Integration Kit).....

Hi Michelle,
Older versions of CR would allow you to run CR from a network share point but you still had to have a license for each user. Current versions of CR do not allow you to do this any more, possibly using a Citrix or Terminal Server would allow this but you still need a license for each user. Older versions had a Network install option.
And as suggested exporting to PDF or some other format is fine for end users viewing your output. They are not using CR but Adobe Reader or Word etc. to view the reports, they just can't use the Designer to view the reports.

Total No of pages different in report printed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8)

Currently in our application, we are using Crystal Report XI R2 for generating the reports. We are in the process of upgrading the Crystal Report to SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). I updated that on my machine and all the reports work fine. I didn't have to modify any of the reports.
However when comparing the reports, we found that there are few reports on which the total no. of pages differ from the report displayed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). Comparing the reports, it looks all the data that were fit on one page earlier with version XI R2 doesn't fit on the same page with version 13.8, thereby increasing the page counts.
The fonts, page margins everything set on report itself. Nothing being set in the code.
Both the application is using the same report that is pulling the data from the same database. Our application is a web application.
Any suggestion, why this is happening.

CRXI R2 designer to CRVS?
CR XI R2 in some version of .NET to CRVS?
CR XI R2 using RDC SDK to CRVS?
Also, is this happening on your development computer or after you deploy?
If you compare the the "Page setup" options dialog between reports that work and those that do not work, do you see any difference?
Is this a web or a win app?
Are you seeing the same issue when viewing and exporting - say export to PDF?
What is the printer driver used and it's version?

If yes, set the connection info for the subreports as well.

Crystal reports using xml at run time??

I have very simple requirement.
I would like to create a crystal
report using XML. This
XML file will be decided at run time
(not at design time).
Hence i have added a crystal report viewer control to my windows form and did
not choose any data source (i left it blank currently). Now i am trying to load
XML file with the following simple code.

Crystal Reports 2011 or Crystal Reports Enterprise - BI4 and SAP BW 7.3

We're using BI4 and SAP BW 7.3 - We'd like to have a CR execute a Bex query with hierarcal information. We've tried this with CR2011 and found the report somewhat slow. Would / should we be be using Crystal Enterprise?
We are always using data from SAP BW.

Crystal Reports transport files for SAP APO / SCM

Hi there,
Problem: we want to use Crystal Reports on top of SAP APO / SCM and have some difficulties getting the definitions of BW / OLAP servers right and don't know which transports to import on the SAP to report with Crystal.
System is a SAP SCM system with APO module. There is a cube in this module (because there is some internal BW system) and I can see the cube in Crystal Reports. When I want to report from this cube I get an error:
"/CRYSTAL/MDX_GET_STREAM_INFO" not found.
This means some transport files were not imported and some functions are missing.
The following transports are missing:

My SAP BASIS expert refuses to import these transports in SAP SCM, because he thinks it is not an SAP BW system as listed in the above transports_EN.txt file. Just trying is not an option because transports cannot be removed once imported...
In my opinion these transports have to be imported to clearly access the cube and will work on SAP SCM even if it's not a 'dedicated' SAP BW environment. In other words, these transports should be imported and will work on SAP OLAP servers like SAP BW, SAP SCM, SAP SRM (APO) or SAP SEM.
Does anyone of you have some more experience on reporting from SAP SCM / APO cubes and if I can import these transports without getting some nasty errors, because its not an SAP BW system?

So I have to import 5 transports in SAP BASIS system and 4 transports in SAP BW system to make full use of the integration kit.
SAP SCM / APO is basically a BASIS system, so the BASIS expert says only those 5 transport have to be installed.
But SAP SCM / APO is also having some reporting capabilities and stores data in OLAP cubes (Infocubes).
In Crystal I can see these cubes when using SAP BW MDX connection.
To make the error go away, I must have some function modules used in transport 'MDX Query Connectivity transport. But the BASIS expert doesn't want to import this transport, because it is listed as a transport for a SAP BW system and he says SAP SCM / APO is NOT a SAP BW system (it's a BASIS system).
And now I have to get some proof that this transport has to be imported in the SAP SCM / APO BASIS system before he installs it...

Transporting a Crystal Report to a different SAP landscape

I have developed a Crystal Report in our development SAP landscape. I have published it and am able to view it in Infoview. I would now like to transport that report to our test SAP landscape. How do I transport my Crystal Report? I have looked in the SAP Integration Kit Users Guide, Installation Guide and the Admininistration Guide with no luck. I have also searched the Knowledge Base. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

in case you saved the report to the BW system via the SAP menus in the CR Designer then you can use the standard transport mechnism from the SAP system

Crystal Reports when connecting to SAP ERP gives Logon Failed error

Hello Friends,
We are trying to implement the SAP Best Practices Crystal Reports and Xcleisus Dashboards for ERP. We are using BI 4.0 SP2, Crystal Reports 2011 SP2 and SAP ECC 6.0 FP 5.
We have done all configurations at the SAP end and successfully adpated a couple of Crystal Reports and they work fine.
My client machine crashed and I had to reinstall my Windows and all Client Tools. After the installation, when I tried to adapt a few more reports, I face the below problem:
After opeing the Crystal Report, when trying to Set the DataSource location, I select Create New Connection and select SAP Infosets. The SAP logon popup comes and I select the ECC system and enter the logon credentials for SAP ECC, I get an error message saying
Logon Failed.
Details: some square boxes.
The error doesnt really make any sense. Unfortunately, I am not able to test this scenario in any other machine as I am the only developer here. I am almost sure this is because of some configuration set up in my client machine,

I recommend looking at a couple of things:
1) Do you have the latest Crystal transports installed with ECC? SP 2 has new transports. Check this subdirectory

Use STMS to see if transports are installed
2) Are you using 3.1 ? Do you have the Integration Kit installed on ECC and client side?
