Crystal Report XI license key

We have have been trying to obtain a license key for Crystal Reports XI, CR Professional Full, Product Version 11.0.0.1282
This is not for a server license, but a single user license. Directions were sent, but it appears to be for a server license. No one will talk to us and when emails are sent, no one answers them. We have had the softward for a month, with no key. Is there a person who can help us with this?

Hi Darrell,
Please contact the CIC team in America at 1866 8907686 or write to them at support.bosapamerica@ sap.com(Please remove the space).You can also request for a  license key at support.bosapamerica@ sap.com(Please remove the space).

  • Do I need a new Crystal Reports XI license key?

    Hello. I am hoping someone here can help me, as I have not had any luck getting useful information over the phone.
    I have uninstalled Crystal Reports XI from a computer. How can I use the same license key for a new installation on a different computer for a different end-user in the near future? Or is the license key only allowed to be used on the machine it was originally installed on? My organization does have a paid software agreement.
    I found this link:
    http://www.businessobjects.com/support/Getting_Business_Objects_Product_Keycodes.pdf
    but my department supervisor is probably the only one who can access this (you need a certificate/authentication code), as he orders the software agreements. Am I on the right track, or are there more steps involved?
    Thank you very much for any information you can provide.

    - You should be able to simply enter the keycode when prompted on install of CR XI.

  • Crystal Reports IX license

    Will the Crystal Reports Basic license that is supplied with SAP B1 work with Crystal Reports XI?

    Hi Bill,
    honestly i dont know !
    It is an OEM version so i would guess no.
    The best would be to download the CR Trial version and install it with your supplied key. Than you will see if it works.

  • Crystal Reports Server licensing

    My question concerns Crystal Reports Server licensing.
    There is a limit of 20/100 licenses per server and 1 server per deployment. What should I do to implement solution that requires more than that? What does "deployment" mean in terms of licensing?
    I'm not sure if this is the right place to post a question like that.
    Regards,
    Stanislav

    You would need to purchase Business Objects Enterprise if you need a scalable solution as far as I know.
    You will need to talk to a sales person for a more definitive answer.

  • Crystal Report Server NFR key invalid...

    I was hoping someone here might be able to point me in the right direction.  I'm trying to install our NFR copy of Crystal Reports Server (https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700000879362009E).  There's an NFR key on the page that we're supposed to use to install the software BUT the software tells me the key is invalid.  Does anyone know where I can get a functional registration key?

    Hi,
    I'd suggest talking with your sales rep to get a key.  You can also probably get a temp key following this note:

  • Crystal Report with Compound Key

    Hi,
    I have Characteristic with Compound Key in SAP BW 7.0. This Characteristic use to store the Purchase Order Item Line. The Compound Key is the Purchase Order Document.
    So I will have the following fields created for this Characteristic:
    Compound Key (Purchase Order Document) 5600001982, Purchase Order Item Line 10
    I created a Query for this Characteristic and I have the following as result:
    10 ...
    20 ...
    30 ...
    All works fine.
    Now I created the Crystal Report from this Query. When I display this Characteristic in Crystal Report, I have the following:
    5600001982/10
    5600001982/20
    5600001982/30
    Is this a bug or Crystal not support the Compound Key?
    Please advise, thank you.

    Hello,
    Did you get this resolved.
    Were you able to display characteristics in Crystal without the compounding characteristic.
    Thanks.

  • Crystal Reports 9 Licensing

    Our legacy back office application uses the Crystal Reports 9 run-time engine and one of our customers wants to customise the reports we provide, but cannot now purchase Crystal Reports 9.
    The problem with this is if they purchase the latest version, the reports generated in the latest version are not backwards compatible and will not work within our application.
    Do you know if they purchase the latest version whether they can under the terms of the license use the Crystal Reports 9 editor program to modify reports?

    I'd want to look at the details of this a bit more:
    The problem with this is if they purchase the latest version, the reports generated in the latest version are not backwards compatible and will not work within our application.
    What issues are you seeing? You should not be seeing issues, unless the reports use features introduced since CR 9 was released. In particular, dynamic and cascading parameters. There may be others, nut these would be an absolute show stopper.
    You may also be still able to obtain copies of CR 9. Call sales at 866-681-3435, see if they can help.

  • Crystal report XI error while Linking tables

    We have just purchased Crystal Report XI  license copy  but as we going to create new report there is problem in linking tables
    i.e while pressing LINK tab after selecting ODBC databse  name  application going shut down.Please suggest.Thanks in advance

    I would make verify the database within Crystal report and then re publish it again. It seems it doesn't get the connection to the db.
    Have you refreshed the database within Crystal Reports?
    As Graham said, does it open in Crystal Viewer?
    another thing would be to add the DSN (System DSN) onto your client machine as well. Maybe it is not getting a right connection.
    Try it and let us know.
    Kind Regards

  • Memory Leak in Crystal Report XI

    We are using Crystal Reports XI Licensed Developer version for web based application. The generated reports are getting accessed by multiple users from web interface. After continuos access of reports, at some point it reaches the maximum limit of Application pool and it stops the application.
    From number of web forms, we found that crystal reports are not releasing systems memory and it keeps adding extra load on memory after a single report generation or there is memory leak. Below are the code snippets to initialize and dispose of report object.
    a. Initializing a new report obj
    protected ReportDocument _selectedRpt = new ReportDocument();
    b. Disposing obj in page_unload event
    /// <summary>
    /// Page_Unload Event handler.
    /// </summary>
    /// <param name="sender">Sending control or event.</param>
    /// <param name="e">Generic event arguments.</param>
    protected void Page_Unload(object sender, EventArgs e)
         _selectedRpt.Close();
         _selectedRpt.Dispose();
    Temporary Solution:  For its temporary resolution, we are recycling application pool twice a day for smooth processing of reports, but recycling also destroying application session.
    Please suggest a solution, which can help to run crystal reports correctly without any memory leak.

    Helena, CR XI R2 is not supported in .NET 2008. See [this|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/WhichCrystalReportsassemblyversionsaresupportedinwhichversionsofVisualStudio+.NET] wiki for more details.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - dynamic parameters not returing all data

    I am having the same issue with Crystal Reports 2008. Only returning 135 customers in a dynamic paramaters when the list should be 3288.
    When I re-create the parameter by using a command instead of relying on Crystal to return the data from the db table Crystal returns only 5"pages" of customers to select from.
    I have tried to run the report with this reduced selection & it then crashes.
    Any ideas??

    This article may help you to increase the number of values in the parameter
    KBase Article ID:c2017238
    Article refers to: Crystal Reports XI BusinessObjects Enterprise XI
    Symptom
    For performance reasons, in Crystal Reports XI Release 1 and Release 2 the maximum number of values that are returned for a list of values is set to 1000. If you have a cascading List of Values (for example Country > Region > City), the lowest level (in this case City) will only display a maximum of 1000 values. This means that the higher-level prompts may display far fewer values than you expect. The list of values provides the data for the dynamic parameter list.
    How can you modify the maximum number of values available in a dynamic parameter list?
    Resolution
    To increase the maximum number of values available in a dynamic parameter list, you must add a registry key.
    CAUTION     The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using the Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use the Registry Editor at your own risk. For information on how to edit the registry key, view the 'Changing Keys and Values' online Help topic in the Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
    It is strongly recommended that you make a backup copy of the registry files (System.dat and User.dat on Win9x computers) before you edit the registry.
    Crystal Reports XI Release 1
    1.     Create a registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV.
    NOTE     Alternatively, you can create the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV and that key will override the settings of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.0\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV key.
    2.     Add a string value "MaxRowsetRecords" and set the value to the maximum number of values that you desire for your report. For example, a value of 2000 will return up to 2000 values in the lowest level of a cascading parameter. NOTE: The value 0 (Unlimited) will not work with BusinessObjects Enterprise XI or Crystal Reports Server XI, you must specify another value.
    NOTE     The higher the number of values is, the longer it will take the Enter Values dialog box to populate with values.
    3.      After making changes to the registry, restart the affected service or application as required.
    Crystal Reports XI Release 2
    1.     Create a registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV.
    NOTE     Alternatively, you can create the registry key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV and that key will override the settings of the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Business Objects\Suite 11.5\Crystal Reports\DatabaseOptions\LOV key.
    2.     Add a string value "MaxRowsetRecords" and set the value to the maximum number of values that you desire for your report. For example, a value of 2000 will return up to 2000 values in the lowest level of a cascading parameter.
    NOTE     The value 0 (Unlimited) will not work with BusinessObjects Enterprise XI or Crystal Reports Server XI, you must specify another value.
    3.     After making changes to the registry, restart the affected service or application as required.

  • Crystal Reports and SAP BW 7

    Hi,
    I have been reading these posts and got bit confused.
    What do I need to integrate Crystal Reports and SAP BW 7 without BOE. My company has SAP NW license and Crystal Reports Enterprise license and plan to use CR for formatted reporting. Do I still need integration kit into SAP BW in order to create crystal reports on BEx queries and save into BW and view through the SAP NW Portal?
    Or am I fine without integration kit?
    many thanks

    Based on the below Ingo's blog in BI expert we would only need the following:
    You must install Crystal Reports Designer on the client
    You must install the client components for the BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP Solutions
    You must install an SAP front end with the SAP NetWeaver BI 7.X Add-On and the SAP BW 3.5 Add-On components on the client when using the connectivity on top of SAP NetWeaver BI
    Users need to have the necessary authorizations in the SAP system. For SAP NetWeaver BI, this means that users require the authorizations to view and execute BI queries. There are additional authorizations for SAP ERP access in authorizations class ZSSI that are specific to the connectivity that BusinessObjects provides.
    You must release the BI queries that you want to use with Crystal Reports for external access. You can set this property in the BI Query Designer.
    So, no mention of BOE.

  • How to create crystal reports using MSDE 2000?

    Post Author: S_Muhilan
    CA Forum: Deployment
    Hi,
    I am using Crystal report 8.5. My Database sqlserver 2000. I generated reports and are working fine.
    Now I want to use MSDE 2000 instead of Sqlserver 2000 due to license factor.
    My application is developed in VB 6. The all the parts of the application is working fine except the report.
    All reports produced Database DLL error.
    So I opened the report and try to verify the database. But it gives pdssql.dll not found. Database error.
    After this error, I tried to create a new report and found that there is no option for MSDE 2000 database selection under more database.
    I usually select Sql server 2000 database under More Database option of location wizard.
    How to create crystal reports using MSDE 2000?
    Is it due to crystal report 8.5 verison problem? I also have crystal report 11 licensed copy.
    Please give me the good solution as early as possible
    RegardsS. Muhilan

    To use the inproc RAS SDK with CR.NET, you'd have to purchase either (1) Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Developer edition, and apply Service Pack 2 or above, or (2) Crystal Reports 2008 (not Crystal Reports Basic that comes with Visual Studio 2008).
    Sincerely,
    Ted Ueda
