    Hi,
Basically Crystal report run with SQL statement, I would suggest to do well performance tuning on SQL query / Store Procedure.
Structure your query in DBA manner that will make some how faster such as use ( inner join, less condition,...)..
also if it simple query then use Command in Crystal report rather store Procedure..that make some how Faster your report.
    Thanks

  • Crystal Reports Integration Database Login error

    Hi guys,
We have installed crystal reports integration on our customer's server and client PCs. They are using SAP 2007 A PL10. We created a report and the report works perfectly on the server and on another client pc. There is however 3 clent pcs (all of which use Windows XP) on which the report does not connect to the database when you try to run it. When we try and run the report on these PC we get a window asking for the database log-in information on which the server name etc is greyed out.
The reports use a OLE DB connection.
Anyone know how this can be solved?
    Thanks

    Hi,
is client side SNC enabled on those client PCs ?

  • Crystal Report Integration Problem with VS 2012 Ultimate

Did anyone faced the same issue, like mine?
    Pliz, help me out.

    Hi MisterEpic,
    Welcome to the MSDN forum!
    First,
I recommend you verify the ISO checksum for Visual studio 2012. You can download the File Checksum Integrity Verifier (fciv.exe) described at
    following locations.
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290/en-us
The CRC and SHA1 hash values of the ISO should match these:
    CRC: 68068922
    SHA-1: 4F1E90E5FDE85AD636233A812A140E89E11A7DEA
    Detail from:
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=30678
Then, you can use the .NET Framework Setup Verification Tool to verify the installation state of one or more versions of the .NET Framework
    Download from :
    http://blogs.msdn.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer-Components-PostAttachments/00-08-99-90-04/netfx_5F00_setupverifier_5F00_new.zip
If the verification tool finds any issues, there is a .NET Framework Repair Tool that can be found at the following locations:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2698555
More information is in the blog at the following locations.

  • Crystal Report Integration with BW 70

    Crytal Integration with SAP BW
Posted: Apr 21, 2008 6:53 PM       E-mail this message      Reply
    Need help.
I have read some links at SDN, like Getting started link on BO and also http://www.businessobjects.com/product/packages/ to understand do we have to buy any additional licenses to use Crytal reports with my SAP BI 70?
    1) We already own Crystal Enterprise. We are using for Non SAP Data
    2) I remember to see SAP's integration kit in BW 3.5 and toolset to allow creating Crystal Reports on BW Queries. Also remember as SAP Customer we have access to create 10 queries even when we do not have Crystal License. Part of BW 3.5.
    3) Since we have Crystal Enterprise already, do we need to buy additional Licenses for using it for SAP BW?
My question is limited to Crytal and not Generic BO, because SAP had some content development relationship with Crystal earlier. We have Business content (Brazilian Taxes in Crystal Reports)
BusinessObjects XI Integration Kit for SAP will certainly will allow it but is it really needed for Crystal Reports?
    Can some one clarify?
    Pankaj Gupta

    Hi
We recently bought Crystal Reports and also now in the process of connecting it to ECC6.0, CRM and BI 7.0. We do have the SAP integration Kit and from the installation manual I can figure out that the integration kit is a must because of many auth issues etc. They have provided a couple of transport to be imported into each of the systems and many parameter settings.
If you are not having the Integration Kit it you should be trying to connect through ODBC etc which may be quite difficult with BI.

  • Best practise BW Query design for Crystal Reports integration

    Hi all,
I am looking for a guide on best practices when designing a BW Query to be used as data foundation for a Crystal Report.
The scenario is that I am responsible for developing the Crystal Reports part, but not the BW Query part, therefore I would like to provide a list of best practises to the person who is responsible for the Query, this way make sure that the integration will work as good as possible. The setup is of course using BO Integration Kit for SAP.
An example is how to use authorization variables in the query to provide data security. This is just one example, there are problably a number of other things to be aware of. A document containing suggestions for best practices is what I am looking for, or if the document does not exist, input to what should be on such a list.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    Rasmus

    Hi Rasmus,
in regards to the Best Practices for Crystal Reports you can leverage all the knowledge you have on the Query Design today already. if you not the person for designing the query I think it is important to make sure people designing the queries do understand how Crystal Reports is leveraging the elements from the BI Query.
    /people/ingo.hilgefort/blog/2008/02/19/businessobjects-and-sap-part-2
You should try to put as much as possible into the BI query from the logic point of view.
and you can also build common BI queries - there is no need to build a BI query for each report.

I have read through previous posts but have not found a solution. Does anyone have any ideas why this is occurring?
I am running JDeveloper 10.1.3 and running under the embedded OC4J Server.

    Hi Marty,
In case you are still facing this problem, or for anyone else interested, I have a solution which worked for me.
    I had a line:
    viewer.processHttpRequest(request, response, getServletConfig().getServletContext(), null);
in my JSP, which I changed to:
    viewer.processHttpRequest(request, response, getServletConfig().getServletContext(), pageContext.getOut());
This solved the problem for me.
This is due to the way JSP pages create the 'out' variable for you and whether you use it or not. It is called a second time in the Viewer which causes this error.

  • Business Objects Edge and Crystal reports integration.

I'm new to the SAP BO application and I would like to know how to allow users to create and publish Crystal Reports via the Business Objects applicaiton.  Currently I have published some reports and the users are able to View then via the InfoViewer Web interface. Now I have a request to allow the users to create their own Crystal reports and publish them. The problem is that the users are not part of my companies network but we have a VPN connection that they user to login to the InfoViewer Web front end to view the reports I have published.

    Hi Ed,
what for a Database do you mean ? The Repository Database or the Database with your productive Data for Designing the Reports?
    1.
When they enter their username and password in InfoView the Application Server (Tomcat) does it.
    2.
Via their ODBC connection. Or when you use Oracle via the native client.

    Hello,
I need some help, as a newbie to CC&B. We are using CC&B 2.1. We need to display a custom-developed Business Objects Crystal report (XIR2.1 version), when clicking the "View Receipt" button on the standard payment page.
We have successfully registered custom Crystal reports before - but they were triggered on-demand, i.e. user requesting the report. Now, the requirement is that on clicking the "View Receipt" button on this standard page, our report should popup.
Any pointers on how to achieve this will surely be appreciated.
