Crystal reports 9 installation hangs on xp craxdrt9.dll PLEASE help!!

I uninstalled crystal reports 9 and did a re-install on the same machine, but the re-install is hangig on registering modules crxdrt9.dll. This .dll is in the correct folder and I tried to manually uninstall it and re-install but it keeps on trying to re-install from the old install.
For some reason it keeps on trying to re-install the application. I was going to try to install 10, but it says that there is a previous install that needs to be completed.
Obviously I cannot move forward but am stuck. Any help would be great. I am running xp sp3.

Hi Karthik,
Ensure the report is using the correct connection information. For example, the data source name, server name, database name, and user name are correct.
In a database-client test tool, ensure that the fields, tables, and procedures used by the report exist and that SQL queries can be executed against them.
In the Crystal Reports designer, verify that the SQL query, as shown under the Database menu Show SQL Query option, does not contain syntax errors.
If the SQL query shown in Crystal Reports is valid, execute the same SQL query through a database-client test tool.
Is report working fine in designer?
Which database connection are you using?

I have crystal reports 11. When i click for "database expert" or "set database location" , nothing happend and crystal reports just hangs.

Crystal Reports Installation Issue (Error 1904/ HRESULT -2147024769)

Hi,
While installing Crystal Reports 2008 -trial version on Windows-xp I am getting the following error:
"Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\ReportSourceBridge.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147024769. Contact your support personnel."
Integration Kit for SAP has not yet been installed. But Business Objects XI3.1 Client Tools are installed.
Crystal Reports version is 12.0.0.86.
Is it an compatibility issue or other problem? What is the resolution? Are there any Fix Pack available? Any alternative approach that works?
Any suggestions on this are welcome.

Download Crystal Reports 3.1. It should be version 12.1.0.xxx. It may be the order you are installing also, Install CR first and then the other parts.
1904 is a MSIExec error code. Typically it's due to outdated Microsoft installer or permissions and/or network speed or.... Be sure you are logged in as the local PC administrator or have the same rights as. Copy the installer to your local hard drive and run the setup.exe by right clicking on it and selecting Run as Administrator...

Crystal Reports XI Pro About 25% of DLL File attributes changed on install

I am having problems preparing an installation of Crystal Reports XI Pro in a Sanctuary Application Controlled environment where the unique file hashes of DLLs and EXEs need to be recorded and pre-authorised before they can execute. This is because when Crystal Reports XI Pro installs it changes the content of a large number of dlls (for examples chartui.dll and CEReportSource.dll) which all have new file create and modify dates. Hence the file hashes of a previous installation which are authorised for use are different and the application fails to run.Are these changes necessary? It is quite rare to see any application change files this way (sometimes except for licensing reasons).Is there anyway of customising the install to stop the files from changing on install?Will it be safe to overwrite files that are installed with previously installed files (which have been authorised?) The closest to a solution I came up with was to try installing Crystal Reports XI from the cds. When the error occurs click to ignore the error and proceed with the install. After the install is finished, the installer will check for updates which gives a link to Crystal Reports XI Release 2 Service pack 4. This is a complete install file of around 1.7 GB in size. Using this install removes the old Crystal Reports XI Release 1 which is where this issue springs from, and installs Release 2 with no errors. Dll versions will change from 11 to 11_5 and the Crystal Viewer will have updated features, like their calendar no longer loads externally within a small internet explorer window, but rather it loads an internal calendar control. After you have installed the updated install file that is the Release 2 version, you can go to this link and install the Service Pack 5 update that Business Objects came out with. Crystal Report installation roadmap

Hi All,
I googled and found that the the SAP data can be extracted only if SAP BW is configured. We have a different requirement
InfoSet Queries are developed, which extracts data from SAP tables
We need to customize the design of the report, therefore plan to have temporary extracted data in InfoSet query and
install and integrate Crystal Report with Infoset Queries for customizing the layout.
Are our concepts correct about crystal report? If yes, how can we integrate CR with SAP, keeping in consideration that we haven't implemented SAP BW.
In short, installation/configuration of the following scenerio
SAP Tables -> InfoSet Query -> Crystal Report -> Custom Layout with Infoset Query data -> Print

Actually, the objective is to design reports with customized heading without using ABAP. For the purpose, InfoSet queries are created. Now I'm looking for a tool, e.g. Crystal Reports etc., to design queries output in professional way.
What do you suggest, which product should I opt for temporary purpose? We will be acquiring BOBJ in next fiscal year, which I hope will make our life easy for developing/designing new reports. But at current, which product/roadmap should be focus on?

Crystal reports gets Hang

Dear Friends,
We are using AR invoice ,QTN, Del.Challan prints outs thr' Crystal report.
When we open it for taking prints ,its gets open but after that system gets HANG.
Then up to making END TASK ,it remain as it is.
IS this problem of Crystal reports , or any solution is there for solve this.?

Check weather the shared folder where the rpt file is kept is reachable
set the rpt file path correctly
is it running correctly in server or any other client?
is it running directly in crystal report?

Crystal report installation

I want to install Crystal report for SAP B1 2007B PL 19 SP 0.0. I have installed the set up file. Now in the instruction PDF it is written
Locate the folder u201CDotNetFramework_3.5u201D , make sure the PC is connected to the internet and run the u201CdotNetFx35setup.exe u201C. An automatic download will occur, to get the suitable files for .Net Framework 3.5. This will take several minutes depending on the bandwidth. The installation of the .Net Framework will happen once the download finishes.
So i have downloaded the dotNetFx35setup.exe as well. But in Add- Remove program there is
1. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 2
2. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2
3. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
What should be the next step to successfully install and run Crystal report

Please Download .Net Frame Work 3.5 from Below Link which is Required as Prerequisite for Crystal Report & Configuration and Put Under B1SHR and use it when doing Client Installation.

Crystal report installation problem in windows azure.

Good day!.
I have purchased standard version of web site in windows azure server,i'm converting existing normal asp.net application into widows azure project as web role project.In my existing project they have used crystal report tool to generate the reports.
The issue has been arrived when i published the project into azure server.When i did some R&D people have suggested some tool to install the tool name called "CRRuntime.MSI".We tried and install this msi file both 64 bit and 32 bit,but the
problem we couldn't even know whether the .MSI file got installed or not.
Still we are having same issues in server.Please give your good ideas to short this issue in server.
I'm using VS 2012

Hi,
Please make sure that you are enabling remote connection to the web role while deploying from visual studio 2012. Then get remote connectivity RDP file for the VM and connect to it. Install your tool manually and check if the problem getting resolved. If
this manual installation works then you can schedule installation as start up task in Azure web role.
[Although I don't know if your tool can be installed automatically by .cmd or .bat or powershell script file]

Crystal Reports for VS2010 cannot find crdb_adoplus.dll

I installed Crystal Reports for VS2010 successfullly,   At least the report editor works without a problem and the viewer control can be placed on a form. My problem is when I try to run it, I get the following exception:

Crystal Report installation error

Hi Team,
I have registered and downloaded sap crystal reports 2013 sp1. My system specifications are mentioned below. While i am trying to install the application i am getting error "Windows version failed" stating " This product needs to be installed on windows 7 sp1 or server 2008 os. CRVS2010 Beta - Crystal Report Installation problem

Hello,
I have visual studio 2010 professionnal edition (Version 2010 10.0.30319.1RTMrel). (French edition)
I would like to install and use Crystal Report, so:
- I dowloaded the Crystal report setup (cr4vs2010.exe).
- After installing the setup, I want to create my first report in my asp application (Add\New item\Reporting\Crystal report) and each time I do that I am prompted for downloading the crystal report suite.
Help appreciated, thanks.
