Crystal Reports CMC Unresponsive

I have just recently began having issues with Crystal Reports Server it appears that around the same time each day the administrative console becomes unavaliable there are no errors when trying to login it just hangs and eventually loads up after 10 minutes or so.
I am trying to search for log files for the system but the only logs I came across are in the Logging folder under Buisness Object which doesn't help much.
I have been scanning through the event viewer and have noticed a few errors:
"An error occurred while creating a Page Server subprocess."
"Unable to contact server ACRPROD.RAS.rptappserver to change its enabled status. Please restart it."
"Unable to contact server ACRPROD.programjobserver.jobserver to change its enabled status. Please restart it."
We are running Crystal Reports CMC on IIS which is also hosting another website on the same server. The website also becomes unresponsive around the same time.
I am looking for any advice or guidance on how to troubleshoot this issue.

Hi,
You should check if it might come from the OS or from BO.
It might be something like the antivirus or a different program installed on the server.
Check also via programs like process explorer or the task manager if there is a process which is using a lot or CPU or RAM at that time.
If it's really coming from CRS, check if you have any schedules running at that time.

  • Error while scheduling Crystal Report within CMC with Destination as Email

    Hi,
    I have added a Crystal Report within the CMC. Before scheduling it, I have specified the Destination as Email and entered  the necessary details. After scheduling it, the Report Instance gives a Failure with Error Message as -
    destination DLL disabled.CrystalEnterprise.Smtp
    How to rectify this?

    Hi,
    go to the CMC and invoke the server list under Servers. Locate the entry for the Crystal Reports Job Server, select it and invoke the context menu using the right mouse button. Select Destination and add Email in the list of the possible delivery options. Configure the connection data for your SMTP server and restart the Crystal Report Job Server.

    This is because Crystal Reports does not recognize database connection from share drive
    1. Save the database locally on server machine
    2. Create a new database on server and link the new database with the database on Network.
    Steps to link the database.
    1.Create a new test database on server.
    2. Go to File --> Get External Data --> Link tables | Select the database on Network Drive.
    3. Select all the tables from the database.
    4. Save the Database  e.g. Test.mdb.
    5. Create an ODBC Connection on server machine, with the same name as on client machine using test.mdb database.
    Note: Click on Advanced button, enter the default user id and password for the odbc connection, it is not mandatory to give Login Name and Password, only if the user id and password are given then we need to provide the same user id and password in the CMC database configuration.
    6. Create a report using this ODBC connection, and save the report to Enterprise.

    I do not have much knowledge on CMC.
    Currently there is a crystal report failing on server.
    I can see the error message on CMC as "Object failed to run due to an error while processing on the Job Server".
    Is there any way i could see the actual error message causing this issue.

  • Crystal Reports scheduled in CMC Fails -Error: database connector error

    Hi,
    I am trying to schedule Crystal Report from the CMC. The report is created on top of InfoCube out of the SAP BI 7.0 server. On scheduling I am getting a particular error as u201CDatabase Connector Erroru201D.
    Is there any way to troubleshoot this. Do we need to configure BW Publisher parameters for the new SAP BI7.0 server with BO Enterprise Server which is tried out recently?
    All this processes work fine with the BW3.5 server for which I believe the configuration for the connection settings is already done.

    Hi Ingo,
    The Crystal Report is built on top of InfOCube in SAP BI7.0 Server.Glad to tell you that the Reports do not give anymore while
    scheduling in CMC. It was an authorization issue with my user id in SAP BI7.0 System which the BASIS has resolved now.
    Referring to your question, somebody earlier suggested me that whenever BO Enterprise server needs to communicate with a new SAP BI Server we need to establish the connection through Universe Designer and test the connection and there is no other way create connection through the CMC.
    If there is a better way, please suggest.

                Accessing folders, scheduling reporting or running reports are working fine with Central Management Console (CMC) within the Crystal report server or accessing CMC within VPN machine.  But when CMC is accessed through browser from client desktop i.e through proxy URL, users are not able to access folder or personal folders to view any reports even admin user is not able to access folders. When users try to access folder or personal folders it gives session-timeout errors. Within less than a 1 or 2 minutes it is showing session timeout error. Appreciates any one help on this quickly.

    hi All,
    i having an error when trying to upload a Crystal report files to CMC, the msg appears below :
    Unable to find servers in CMS obt-sg-a1mgr.obtechglobal.com:6400 and cluster @obt-sg-a1mgr:6400 with kind fileserver and service FileStoreV2. All such servers could be down or disabled by the administrator. (FWM 01014)

  • I can't add A Crystal Report to CMC

    Hello,
    I download the Crystal Reports Server a month ago. 
    I've been adding reports for our management.  The management said they don't like this product in that it is very slow when viewing reports.  I am looking at the reports and trying to troubleshoot.  I deleted a report, worked on the stored procedure and wanted to add the report back.
    Now, when I right click on the folder, I no longer see add crystal report.  Now it only says add local document or program.
    I'm not sure what happened?!
    How do I get the CMC to be able to add Crystal Reports again?

    I knew to do that.
    When I look at the servers, I see that the crystal reports job server is disabled.  I've tried several times to enable it.
    I also tried to clone the server and then enable the clone.  It is disabled also and will NOT become enabled.
    I had already loaded service pack 3.  That did nto work either.
    I am going to uninstall and reinstall and see if that will resolve anything.

  • Issue in publication of Crystal Report on BO CMC

    Hi,
    We have a Crystal Report which needs to be bursted in order to create multiple pdf files based on Account Number field used in report.
    For this, we have created a source report which contain all the fields required having Account Number.
    The report has multiple groups (including one on Account Number itself) and we have created another report (say dynamic) which contains the same logic used in source report but it displays only the Account Number field in report without having any groups.
    So, when we tried to create a publication on Business Objects Central Management Console (BO CMC) using these source and dynamic reports, everything goes well until Personalization where in we are suppose to configure the Filters using Source Report field and Dynamic Recipient Mapping.
    Here, we are not getting the Account Number field (which is available in both Source and Dynamic reports) to be selected for adding filter.
    Actually, we are not getting fields from a particular Command Object itself when we try to add filter from "Report Field" dropdown.
    We are not sure whether this is due to the groups used at Source report or something else.
    Could someone tell me whether anyone has undergone this kind of issue and found any solution.
    Environments details:
    Crystal Report version: CR XI R2

    Couple of updates based on my trial and error method on this:
    1. I could see the Report Field dropdown with database fields from Command Object when I removed all groups, sub Reports (forgot to mention on this) and all parameters except Account Number parameter (I have about 5 other parameters including a date range).
    2. When I re-add date range parameter (keeping Account Number parameter as it is), the Report Fields dropdown under Personalization link isn't showing the fields from Command Object.
    3. When I add any other parameters except Data Range parameters, I can see the Report Fields dropdown with Command Object fields.
    So, I think there is something to do with date range parameters when we use the report for publication.
    Did anyone face this issue?

  • Crystal Reports Server 2008 trial install - unable to log into CMC

    Hi,
    I have been looking for a way to host my existing Crystal XI reports on our in house web application rather than using a thick client application with cview. I was told that the options were Crystal Reports Server 2008 or Visual Studio 2008. I have downloaded trials of both and am currently testing.
    After installing Crystal Reports Server 2008, including MySQL DB and Tomcat web server, i am unable to log into any of the applications with the error that:
    Error: Server SCOTTPC:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
    After seeing this i checked the services on my test machine and found that the Server Intelligence Agent was not started. So i tried starting it and recieved the generic windows message:
    Service on local computer started and them stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do ... etc
    After multiple reboots and reinstalls i am still unable to use any aspect of the application as i am unable to log into the CMC as the server is down. Now i am new to Crystal reports and web servers so have a very limited knowledge of whats going on here - i am primarily a DBA. From what i can tell MySQL does not even appear to be installed but i cannot be sure.
    Any suggestions?

    ok... after research it seems a DSN has not been created.
    Also when trying to start the server intelligence service i see the following in the application event viewer:
    [Node Name: SCOTTPC]
    [User Name: SYSTEM]
    Server Intelligence Agent has failed to initialize because the bootstrap file C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\win32_x86\_boe_SCOTTPC.bootstrap is missing information about the CMS cluster. Please restore your bootstrap file from your backup.
    i have recreated the bootstrap file but still get the same error.
    i have SQL Server 2005 installed on this rig as well - could this be causing the issue? Would it be better for me to integrate this to SQL Server rather than using the MySQL DB that comes with Crystal server 2008?

  • Where is the Manage Object function in Crystal Reports 2013 for the CMC?

    I recently upgraded to Crystal Reports 2013 after upgrading our Crystal Reports server to SAP Business Objects Platform 4.1. Before the upgrade, I could publish reports from Crystal Reports XI to the CMC then right-click on the report title in the Repository Explorer (in Crystal Reports) and I had the option to select Manage Object where I could set the default settings for the CMC. I am not seeing this option in the new version of Crystal Reports. Is there something I need to do to see this option or has this option been removed from Crystal Reports 2013?

    You're right, the option doesn't exist in CR XI R2 and above.
    All the options now need to be set in CMC.

  • Error in Crystal report( built  on Universe) preview in CMC - Failed to load DB credentials or Failed to open Connection

    Hi,
          I created a Crystal Report (CR XI r2) using Universe and database is Db2.
         My report is working fine in Crystal report ,.But when i am uploading this report (Save AS ->enterprise) to repository ,and then trying to preview this report from CMC/Infoview,it throws error "Failed to load DB credentials  "or sometimes it throws" Failed to open Connection" .
    I have given DB user credentials correctly and used both option "prompt user for DB logo" as well as "use same database logon" .
    I am not sure why it is throwing this error.I checked both "Bo server machine as well as Client machine ,both  are having DB2 cleint installed and configured.
    Is this an issue with Service Packs ?
    As my machine configuration is -
         BO Client - BO XI R2 RTM + SP1+SP2
         BO Server (Linux) - BO XI R2 RTM
    If anybody faces the same issue ,please share the solution with me,as it is very urgent .

  • Crystal Report Server 2008 - Schedule/Process/History Grayed Out on CMC

    Hi - I'm using Crystal Reports Server 2008 (11.5) and am unable to schedule reports - the schedule (as well as the Process and History) tabs are greyed out in the Central Management Console and don't appear at all in Infoview. In addition I can specify the database when I setup a new report or when using the Publishing Wizard to import files I don't get the dialogue about scheduling.
    Am I missing something?
