Crystal Reports Field Explorer not showing

Hi,
I am using Visual Studio 2003 with the bundled version of Crystal Reports. It has always worked fine until recently the Field Explorer tool bar does not show up anymore when I open a Crystal Report for development. I have uninstalled the entire Visual Studio and reinstalled the Visual Studio but it still will not show the Crystal Reports Field Explorer. However, if I install the Visual Studio on a completely different computer it works fine. Anyone have any idea what could be causing this problem on my main computer? Could it be a setting somewhere in the Visual Studio? I cannot find any information on this problem.

Ok, I figured out what the problem was. It was something wrong in my Windows profile. So I deleted my Windows profile and created a new one and it is working now.

Crystal Report Lines / Boxes not show in Excel

In Crystal Report 2008, I created a report with lines and boxes inserted. I then imported into SAP B1 8.8. The report looks fine in crystal report viewer with all the correct formatting. I exported the report as Ms Excel (with formatting).
After exported to Excel, the report looks fine for the most part but all the lines and boxes are not showing at all. I went back to CR designer and tried to mofify the format of the lines / boxes but they still not showing in Excel. is there any way to fix the display of those boxes and lines?

Format like lines/Boxes cannot be exported. If you want the exact layout, print to PDF file may be your only option.

Crystal report viewer do not show on client computer installation

i develop a simple project that show "Hello word My First Crystal Report" on crystal report viewer. after this i add new project "setup and deployment". In Setup Project I add 4 files of .msm for show crystal report.
1. CRRuntime_13_0_tr.msm 2. Microsoft_VC100_ATL_x86.msm
3. Microsoft_VC100_CRT_x86.msm
4. Microsoft_VC100_MFC_x86.msm 5. Microsoft_VC100_OpenMP_x86.msm
when i install on developer computer. it runs successfully. when i install on client computer, software runs fine but crystal report did not show and having error "METHOD NOT FOUND VOID CrystalDecision.WINDOWS.FORMS.CrystalREPORTViewer.SET_CACHEDPAGENUMBERPERDOC(INT32)"
i install .net frame work and CRforVS_13_0_9.exe on client computer but .net frame work show form but crystal report did not show.

Crystal report default values not showing in BOE

Hi,
In Crystal Designer 2008, we can set parameters to have a default value. When we refresh the report in Designer, the default value is the one that's automatically selected. However, once we upload it to BOE, the default value is blank and we must manually re-create them in the Default Value Properties. Anyone knows why it is like that?

Make sure you mark the items you want on Defaults inside CAC1 t-code.
You have the following options and from where are they taken of:
- Controlling area -> from IT0001
- Activity type -> from IT0315
- Purchase order -> from IT0315
- Attendance/Absence type -> directly entered in CAC1
- Master cost center -> from IT0000
- Sender business process -> from IT0315
- Service master -> from IT0315
- Cost center -> from IT0315
- Wage type -> directly entered in CAC1

Crystal reports 2008 will not allow multiple exports in a row

I recently had service pack 3 and fix pack 3.3 updated to my system ( crystal 2008) to help correct a issue with mapi not populating addresses from outlook when trying to export a report. I have a new issue. - sort of???
Now when I try to export multiple reports in a row I still have the same issue. I can send 1 report out. But if i try to send another report out i have the same issue that I had with mapi not populating the addresses field from outlook.
To get past this I shut down crystal and then bring it back up and I can send (ONE) report again before the same thing happens. Does anyone know if there is fix for this issue?

My problem has nothing to do with report design in my OP. The MAPI function (in crystal reports itself) will not populate addresses once I export 1 report. When I try to export a second report that is when it quits works. This is basically the same problem that a hot fix or fix pack corrected but now instead of now working at all. I can only export 1 report before the same mapi issue happens????

Field type not showing correctly

Hi everyone, I am using a spreadsheet to report on but for some reason the columns are showing in CR as String(255) instead of Number. I have double checked the spreadsheet format and they seem to be in the number format. Any ideas what's happening here?

I'm sure it shows that I really don't know what I'm doing, but I tried hard to figure out where to put the formula you suggested, but to no avail. I did find out through trial and error that the data in the Excel spreadsheet cells does determine the data type of the Crystal reports field. What I finally wound up doing is re-creating my spreadsheet with nothing in the top cells. It seems like Crystal Reports stops at the first data type it comes to and makes that the data type for the report. Although it isn't consistent. I then inserted my titles as objects rather than text into the spreadsheet. That seemed to work. If I understood programming better, I'm pretty sure I could have found an easier way to do it, but that's my workaround.

Newly added field does not show in table genarator.

first activate your database table .
if any error occurs better you go to
se14(database utility) -
>give table name in object and select the table check box and click the edit push button.
and then click activate and adjust pushbutton.

The "next" button of crystal report viewer does not work

I use crystal report viewer control to show my crystal report on my aspx page.
like:

however when I try to navigate to next page by click "Next" arrow button on the crystal report viewer toolbar, it only can navigate to the page 2, whatever I click the "Next" button, it still stay on page 2,
actually this report has 10 pages.
On the other hand, if I input the page number, such as 5 on the "goto" textbox, it will jump to page 5 correctly.
Could you give me any good advices to solve this problem?

Dont use the quantity field same as that it come from interface Fm declare one field for quantity in the global settings and write the logic to pass the value to that field and pass that global value to the particular texts...same is the case with currency fields also.

New field will not show in the Datasource

Hello Experts,
I enhanced a datasource by adding a new field in the append structure and when I saved and activated and when into RSA5 or RSA6 then double clicked on the datasource my ZZ field does not show at the end. Anyone know why this is?

Once you have appended the structure .
In RSA6 you need to go to the purticular datasource (In change Mode) and need to uncheck the option *HIDE field for the field you have appended .
After you Uncheck that field save and exit.

Returned fields are not showing up under stored procedure

First I would like to say I haven't used crystal reports before.
I created a crystal report in VS2008 and under Database fields I pointed to my stored procedure. The parameter fields show up but there are no return fields under the stored procedure. I tested the SP in SQL Management Studio and it works correctly and returns the correct fields. When selecting the SP I tried unselecting "Set to Null Value" for each of the parameters and entered values I knew would return fields and the fields show up under the SP but they are filled with the data from the parameters I used. Which I would expect. If I go back to using null, the fields disappear.
I also had this problem when I updated another Report after adding a new field to be returned from a SP. I fiddled around with it and got it working but not sure how or why it saw the fields when I got it working.
And today I updated a stored procedure to use a string parameter and not an integer parameter. After I updated the SP in VS2008 using the field explorer, the return fields disappear. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for the reply. I verified the database multiple times before posting and just verified it again. No luck. Also the SP has only one select.
I found some crystal report cds with 8.5 (the newest I could find), I installed it and tried to use the SP and it gave me the following error:
"There are no return fields in the file". VS2008 does not give this error.
I tried using crystal reports with all the SPs I altered and I get the same error. Most of the changes to the SPs are in the where cause (Changing from field = @field to field IN (@fields) and changing a parameter from an int to a string. Also as a side note, when setting up the data source I am choosing to use nulls. Is this correct? The SPs were all written using SQL string format if that makes any difference.
UPDATE: I tried using discree values that I knew would return values and the return fields show up. They are populated with the expected values but if I use these values all my reports will be the same. As I would expect. So why doesn't it work for NULL values? Maybe my thinking is wrong here but isn't null values used so you can dynamically select values for the parameters at runtime?

Crystal Report Toolbar images not displaying properly in IE?

Hi,
I am using VisualStudio 2012 ,crystal report version 13.0.2000.0 and sp5.
My problem is that after loading crystal report, toolbar image icons (such as print,export etc) are not showing properly in internet explorer(version ie10). But it is displaying correctly in chrome and firefox.
What could be problem ?? Any help will be appreciated ..

Crystal HTML viewer will not show embedded image from Infoview image store

I am having an issue with the html and dhtml viewers not showing an image I have embedded inside a crystal report. The image has been stored in infoview and embedded into the report from that source. Using the Crystal ActiveX viewer works fine in this case and shows the image. The html viewers however show the blank box with the red X in the top left corner when Internet explorer can't find an image.
Now, if I right click on the image and get it's properties I get this URL:

If I take that url and try to load it directly through Internet explorer I get the following error:
Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown.
The file is small and only about 20k in size. If someone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately I have been unable to remove the plug-in. The files is not locked, or shared, but my operating systems thinks it is.
What happens, when you try?
When I try to delete the plug-in from
/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/Google/Analog Efex Pro/
with ⌘⌫, I simply get the pop-up panel to enter my administrator password, and the plug-in will be moved to the Trash:
Don't forget to quit Aperture, before trying to remove the plug-in and to log off and on.
