Crystal Reports with SAP R/3 FM and Transparent Tables

Hello Everybody,
Can somebody tell me how can we use R/3 FM and Tables in Crystal reports?
Can you send in some documentation if you have. And explain to me in detailed steps please.
Your help is greatly appreciated as I am in need of some good help.
Thanking you in anticipation.
Thanks,
Sneha Singh.

Hi,
For functions to be used in a report, they must meet two conditions:
u2022 Functions must have defined return types for each of the output
parameters.
u2022 Functions must not have whole tables as input parameters.

    Hi,
You need to have the BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP. Integration Kit provides the database drivers and other features for reporting off SAP,to access sap objects into BO or Crystal Reports
Link to download the useru2019s Guide:
    Please go to Http://help.sap.com
    Click on BusinessObjects tab
Select the product as Integration Kit for SAP
User guide: BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP Useru2019s Guide.
It will list all the documents for Integration Kit for SAP which will be helpful to you.
Also if you have any other questions around the SAP Integration Kit for Crystal Reports I recommend to post this query to the Integration Kits - SAP forumThis forum is dedicated to topics related to the BusinessObjects Integration Kit for SAP.
It is monitored by qualified technicians and you will get a faster response there.
Also, all SAP Kit queries remain in one place and thus can be easily searched in one place.
you can download the complete documentation from the following link :
    http://support.businessobjects.com/documentation/product_guides/
Choose "BusinessObjects XI Release 2" for the version and "Integration Kit for SAP" for the Product

    Dear Experts,
I face the exactly same problem, please forgive if i am not suppose to ask the same question in other people thread.
I am using SAP 8.8, PL09, SQL Server 2005, the Crystal Report is working perfectly after import into SAP B1.
However, when i do the same configuration in my customer server, the error message prompt:
Failed to retrieve data from the database.

  • Run a Crystal Report ( with SAP BW Query ) on BO XI R2 SP2

    Hi SAP Guru,
In one customer, we want integrate SAP BI 7.0 on Business Objects XI R2 SP2 ( Full Control Right ) to delivery dedicated reports to target users ( Scheduling )
We strart with a simple query that it works fine on Bex..
The integration Kit for SAP was installed on BO server and transports on SAP BW Server (based on Thread of Ingo).
For scheduling, I create a Business View based on my BW query and I create my crystal report. Everything work fine, when I launch my report localy on my desktop.
The problem arrives when I want schedule my report on the CMC or in infoview. I received a error message :
Failed to open the connection. D:ApplBusiness ObjectsBusinessObjects Enterprise 11.5DataprocSched  -  system - ~tmp148860c59ff44c6.rpt
I try to schedule a report without Business View but I receive the same message.
    Questions :
1 ) Is the Integation Kit for SAP is enable for this environement ( SAP BI 7.0 and BO XI R2 SP2 ) ?
    2) Have you any suggestion of resolution for my problem ?
If you need more info, I will update my thread..
Thanks in advance for your help...
    Cédric

Thanks for your quick reply !!!
are you able to run your report on-demand in the InfoView?
--> I receive my error when I open/run  the report.
Which version of CR Designer are you using?
    -->  CR 11.5.9
Any chance to upgrade? There is already SP6 available for XI R2.
--> We project to migrate to R3.1 this year but we want to show report earlier ( if it's possible on R2 of course ).

  • Crystal reports with SAP BI Infocube

    All,
I need to create a report from the BW Infocube . I have the SAP integration installed and working properly and I am able to create reports from Bex queries, but I am unable to see any Infocubes in the. Do I need to generate the Infocube as an export data source in order to use this as the data source for generating the report in Crystal reports? Any advise....

    Tanu,
If you want to see your BEX Queries on Crystal reports then there is setting you have do in your Bex Queries. On the Bex query design choose your query properties and on your far right hand side you will see the properties tabs with General, variable Sequence etc. you will also see Tab " Advanced"  choose that tab and select the check box "Allow External Access to this Query". you will be able to see your query on Crystal report .
    Hope it helps,
    Cheers,

  • Connecting Crystal report with SAP MAX DB DATABASE

    > Can we connect SAP MAXDB database with crystal report to generate reports.
    Technically that's possible -y es.
    > basically we want to generate few reports in crystal report(separate from SAP ABAP)
You can use the SAP standard tools (SAP Query - SQ00) or Quick Views (SQVI) to do the same in ABAP.
If you connect to the database with an external tool you have to use a user who has ALL permissions on the database, means, a full table can accidentally be deleted. The user can also use ALL tables.

  • Invoice in crystal reports with group by basedocnum Delivery and line text

    Hi there,
as i got some troubles with a CR i've tried to make a new report.
i use OINV, INV1, OCRD, NNM1, OCTG, OSCP in the report.
the details section is grouped by inv1.basedocnum. In the group header it should show the
inv1.basedocnum and the inv1.docdate. when printed does not respect the order of lines after group by
basedocnum. is for the case where a bill is grouped into several invoices I have lines in text
    interspersed between articles. for example:
Delivery nº 1 de fecha 12/04/2011
    This is a line text
    001     Product1     1,00     3,00     3,00
    002     Product2     2,00     2,00     4,00
Delivery nº 4 de fecha 13/04/2011
    001     Product1     1,00     3,00     3,00
    Another line text
    003     Product3     2,00     1,50     3,00
Delivery nº 8 de fecha 15/04/2010
    This is a line text
    001     Product1     1,00     3,00     3,00
    Line text
    002     Product2     2,00     2,00     4,00
I thus first printed text lines and then the article and does not respect the order of lines per document
    any idea?
    Thanks in advance
    SBO 8.8

One possibility for this is that the user has an unusual printer driver set as their default printer.  I would check that they have a regular printer installed and set as the default.
The other possibility is that they have their IE option set to display text as small.   If you go to "View" -> "Text Size" - what size do they have the text set to?

    2) I am unable to delete Crystal reports which are saved in SAP BW Browser . I can delete any other BEX workbook in the same folder .
Am I missing any role authorizations to delete Crystal reports in BW Browser ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Crystal reports 2013 , SAP MDX Driver not able to connect with BW BEX Query

    Hi All,
We just installed Crystal 2013, and want to create crystal report on SAP BW CUBE/BEX Query through SAP MDX Driver.
1.When start connecting through SAP MDX Query option from new connection , SAP Systems which are in SAPLOGON are not appearing in initial screen. where as from OLAP Connection we are able to connect to SAP BEX Query.
2.Even from SAP Tool kit we are not able to connect to BEX query, we are getting ERROR MESSAGE.
and we are using SAP BI BO PLATFORM 4.1 sp01 .
Please suggest me , if I am missing any configuration settings.
    Regards,
    Joseph

    Hi Joseph,
Before you start building the report, make sure the right transports have been loaded on the SAP System. The right Transport files are the ones found inside the installation zip you download from SAP's server. They're under the "Collaterals\Add-Ons\SAP\Transports" folder.
For more info on Transports, authorizations etc, please have your BASIS admin go through this wiki:
Crystal Reports 2008 and BW - Installation and Configuration - Business Intelligence (BusinessObjects) - SCN Wiki
To resolve your first issue, please follow the steps from this thread:
Problems with SAPLogon.ini for SAP GUI and Crystal 2011
P.S: Crystal Reports for Enterprise 4.1 does a better job at handling BEx queries that the CR 2013 designer. It directly connects to BEx queries via the BICS connectivity driver and doesn't need the Transports to be there on the SAP System. You might want to give this flavour of CR a try too.

You'll need to install the Crystal .NET that comes with VS 2005. You then install Crystal XI R2 over the top and not only will Crystal be integrated with the IDE, it should use the updated assemblies from R2.
