CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN(Content Admin Workbench) problem.

1. The transport files in Transport folder are supposed to be unchecked for "Read only" status so that SAP system can execute these.
2. Select all files (both in data & cofiles folders) and right click, properties, uncheck the box "Read-only".
3. Copy these file data and cofiles folder to data and cofiles folder under \usr\sap\trans folder (both data and cofiles folders exist under \trans folder).
4. Run T-code STMS (SAP Transport Mgt System) on SAP BI server.
5. Press F5 or click Import Overview.
6. Double on the required Queue.
7. First select R21K900531 to import (this must be imported before all other requests).
8. Click on Import Request (Ctrl+F11).
9. The green icon will first change to van and then to a green tick after successful completion. If it returns back to green square, then go back and check if you have unchecked the "Read-only" box in the properties of import files.
10. After R21K900531, you can import all other requests at the same time or in any sequence.
11. Run transaction /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN and it will execute.
Regards.
7. First select R21K900531 to import (this must be imported before all other requests).
my administrator managed to put the data and cofiles inside already but my couldn't find any key mentioned, is there a reason why?
theres totally nothing inside queue cl5 and erp

Hi,
here the wording from the Installation Guide:
There are two different sets of the transports: Unicode compatible transports
and ANSI transports. If you are running a BASIS system of 6.20 or later, use
the Unicode compatible transports. If you are running a BASIS system earlier
than 6.20, use the ANSI transports. The transports_EN.txt file located in
the transports directory on the installation CD lists the Unicode compatible
and ANSI transport files.
You don't have to extract them. You need to treat them like any other transport file and import them into the SAP System. Make sure you pay attention to the order of import (see chapter Transports in the Installation Guide).

  • Scheduling of report publishing in Content Admin Workbench

Is it possible to schedule the publishing of Crystal Reports in the Content Adminstration Workbench? There is a "Scheduled Jobs" folder in the Operations pane but I can't figure out how to create a scheduled publishing job. I know I've seen this feature in earlier versions of the Integration Kit. Is it still available? If so, how do you set up a schedule?

    Hi,
no it is not possible to schedule. The schedule jobs as to do with possible steps in the Content Workbench - also explained in the installation guide / user guide for the SAP Integration Kit.

  • SLD info not updated in Web Dynpro Content Admin of NW CE 7.1 EHP1

    Hello Everyone,
I have installed the CE 7.1 on my PC and am having this problem. I have created the destinations SLD_DataSupplier and SLD_Guest in NWA and uploaded using SLD Data Supplier service. The Java WAS is now reflected in the SLD as a TS and a Datasupplier. I have also performed all the SLD Initilization and config. However the SLD is still not reflected in the Web Dynpro content admin. When I press the Check SLD Connection button all the values are blank.
Am I missing anything, Should I be doing any config in the Configtool? Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • Only Content Admins are able to perform search

    Hi,
I created an index on a File System Repository and the indexing completed successfully. I have enabled W2KSecurityManager on the Repository. Only Content Admins are able to perform search.
When I conduct search it returns results (I am an Content Administrator), but when another user conducts the same search does not return any results. When I assign any user with content admin role he is able to perform search (with successful results).
It does not look like an permission issue. Everyone have access to the Windows Fileserver; also everyone has access to the index (I checked it in index permissions). Any idea where else the problem could be?
    Regards,
    Deepak

    Hi Umesh,
We had this same problem where only admins had access, that was because
content/system/user admin roles are set as system principals and bypass w2kSecurityManager
    functionality
Check if users without these privileges have read access (http://server:port/irj/go/km/navigation/folder)
if you get access denied error it's probably a problem with user mapping
check on log files (defaultTrace) for w2k related errors, you might find something like
No user mapping data for user <user_name> and system <system_name>#
    or similar entry
if that's the case check sap note 615479 and
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/54/39c53dba21f750e10000000a114084/content.htm

  • /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN & RSCR_ADMIN_REPORTS

/CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN is not functioning fully. We seem to have problems deleting and overwriting reports to BOBJ.
We have BW Netweaver 7.3 & BI4 BOBJ with Crystal Reports 11.
If we use RSCR_ADMIN_REPORTS it works fine.
We keep on getting a RED dot for the BOBJ server side?
We can publish from CRYSTAL to BW and right through to BOBJ.
All security settings seem to be fine. ROLE -> BOBJ SAP instance folder / Principles added and full control given.
Why would RSCR_ADMIN_REPORTS work and not /CRYSTAL/RPTADMIN?
    Thanks

Does your \CRYSTAL\RPTADMIN is full yconfigured?.
what is the message you get when you publish the reports?.
I'm ffacing a different issue here and thought of chekcing with you. Pls let me know the process that you followed while transporting the Crystal reports.
    Thanks

  • In Portal Content admin Role "Portal content" folder is not displaying

    Hi,
I created a user in EP and assign Only Content admin Role. But in portal content area "Portal content "folder is not displaying.
Can someone help me the process steps to achieve it?
    Thanks,
    kundan

It is because the user has no proper permissions  to the porta content folder.
you should give atleast read permission to the portal content folder to the content_admin role or to the users who have content admin role.
also make sure the end user check box is checked at the time of giving permissions.
Otherwise give eevryone group as read permisisons to the portal content folder. then you can see the portal content folder with read permissiosn only.

  • Content Server connection problems

    SAP Content Server connection problems
I have installed the SAP Content Server on a Windows 2003 server. I connected to the Max DB on the remote server from Database Manager on my PC. I created repositories in R/3 in OAC0 and CSADMIN and saved documents to the Content Server. This all took a few hours from O/S install to saving a document in the repository, so I do understand the basics of the Content Server and Max DB.
Unfortunately we are not going to use Windows; we will be running this on UNIX. Therefore I'm trying it out on a Linux system while I wait for the AIX system to be available. It's been a long road but I have finally gotten the install to finish 'successfully' however I can't connect from R/3.
When I run the check http://10.XXX.YYY.ZZZ:1090/ContentServer/ContentServer.dll?serverInfo from the browser on the Linux host I get back a good status as shown below:
    serverType="SAP HTTP Content Server";serverVendorId="SAP AG";serverVersion="640";serverPatch="0";serverBuild="16";pVersion="0046";serverStatus="running";serverDate="2008-03-25";serverTime="22:39:45";startUpDate="2008-03-25";startUpTime="22:32:21";lastAccessDate="2008-03-25";lastAccessTime="22:38:33";
However when I do this from any my PC it won't connect. (Of course the real problem is I can't connect from R/3.)
If I try the same URL from a different user session on the same Content Server Linux host I get the same good status.
I thought maybe the httpd.conf file was wrong so I tried:
    Listen 0.0.0.0:1090
In cs.conf I tried commenting out AdminSecurity & AdminSecurityGroup.
I also changed StorageDriver from SAPDBStorage to FSStorage.
I don't know if this is related or just another problem to tackle once I can get through this one. I was not able to add the new system to the Database Manager. I get the error "-4 could not connect to socket [10060]".
Thanks to all for any help. Points will dutifully be rewarded.
    David

    Hi Henk,
It looks like I am dumber than a rock. The firewall was indeed active on the Linux host. I turned it off and can now do the http connection test to the Content Server. (I awarded very helpful points.)
I still can't connect to the database with the Database Manager however the message has changed; it now says "-4 XSERVER might be inactive". I just turned off the firewall so I have a few things to try, like figure out how to start MaxDB without the DB Manager. I'll post my progress. Thanks Henk.

Now I have installed the Database Studion on my PC. No I'm getting this message when I try to connect to the host/database on the Linux system: "Cannot connect to host 10.XXX.XXX.XXX:7210 [Connection refused: connect], -813."
Does MaxDB need to be started to connect? Any idea how to start it manually? Thanks,
    David
Edited by: Dave Hill on Mar 28, 2008 1:06 AM
Ah, at long last. There's this tiny yet very important little program called x_server that SAP didn't include in the SAP Content Server install guide. This needs to be running in order for anything to connect. I'm sure most of you know about it but for the rest you can find it in:
    /sapdb/programs/bin
    Then type
    ./x_server start
I'm not sure what user it should run under but I started it as the sdb user.
You could automate the database startup with a script. See http://maxdb.sap.com/doc/7_7/e9/005dac1592496783e26133eb7fad0b/frameset.htm
Thank you Henk, I'll call this problem solved and award points.

  • Content admin - iview not in top level navigation bar

    Using my Administrator ID.
Also Portal Admin -> channel assigment not in top level navigation bar.
    What role am I missing?

    Hi,
The short answer to your question is that you need to add the relevant iView(s) and change the applicable role or iView properties to display in the areas necessary.
Generally you require the super admin role to structure other admin roles to the different types of admin roles in your enterprise with a default installation.
You could for example determine that your content admin receive more than just the default iView(s) applicable to them, and that you want those iView(s) to display as tabs, or only in the detailed navigational areas. This is a matter of personal preference and thus SAP allows you to customize this as you see fit.
    I hope this helps.

  • Could not find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin Tab

    Hello all,
I have installed 'Sneak Preview SAP NetWeaver 04 SP16 - Full Java Edition-Trial' from sdn.sap.com website. I am trying to learn EP development and started with EP100 (August 2002) document.
I couldn't find iViews, Pages, Roles etc tabs in Content Admin tab from where I can create channels and pages as described in the document. Am I following the wrong document or do I have to assign any additional roles to the user.
I have created a user with everyuser roles and super admin role. Do I have to add any other roles to this user to work with iViews and pages.
Please help me as I have struck at the very beginning.
    Thanks in advance.

  • IView not able to create in content admin

    Hi,
I am using EP7.0 .In portal content admin I am not able to create iView, Page, WS, Role or Folder.
Once I am going the navigation path - content admin<portal content<end user content<ESS and right clicking it is not displaying any portal content option. It displaying open<open in new tab etc.How we can resolve this error? Log off option is also not responding in portal page. Please give the solution.
    Thanks

    Kuku,
Looks like you might be accessing your portal with the IP address instead of FQDN.
EX: Instead of using http://10.10.1.10:50000/irj/portal use the FQDN like the one below.
http://abc.xyz.com:50000/irj/portal where abc.xyz.com is the fully qualified domain name.
    Hope this helps.
    @ Bala :
I have been working on IE 7.0 for a long time now.
    Cheers!

After installing Ep 7.0 sp16 Portal and logging in as Administrator we get
Error: Object Required apperas when accessing Content Admin >Portal Content
The same error appears when trying to access System Admin > permissions.
Anything to do with catolog search is throwing Error: Object Required  popup.
    Appreciate feedback in resolving this.

I have just started to get this error as well... On my computer I get the "Error: Object Required" when accessing the Portal Content page but if I log in on someone elses computer using the same browser, OS, etc The error does not appear and I am able to browse the Portal Content.
Any more insight on the resolution to this issue would be appreciated.
