CS-150-LAN extra content rule disables all access to website

We have a CS-150-LAN Content switch with software version 6.10Build203. Yesterday for no apparent reason we lost connectivity to our website through our CSS. To get around this issue we removed all content rules except for the "everything-else" rule.
owner http://www.acmi.net.au
content AIC
add service acmi-web3
url "//www.acmi.net.au/AIC*"
protocol tcp
port 80
vip address 203.14.59.174
content everything-else
add service acmi-web1
vip address 203.14.59.174
protocol tcp
port 80
active
owner http://www.vceart.com
content everything
add service acmi-web3
vip address 203.14.59.175
protocol tcp
port 80
active
What is happening now is that when l create an addional content rule it then times out all connections to our website http://www.acmi.net.au. If l suspend the additional rule "AIC" the website comes back online. We need these additional content rules for accessing subsites. Please help.
Thanks

Here are the sho service summary and show summmary outputs
Owner Content Rules State Services Service Hits
www.acmi.net.au AIC Suspended acmi-web3 6
everything-else Active acmi-web1 243
acmi-web2 340
www.vceart.com everything Active acmi-web3 23
sec-css-11150# sh service summary
Service Name State Conn Weight Avg State Idx
Load Transitions
acmi-web1 Alive 2 1 2 2 2
acmi-web2 Alive 9 1 23 2 3
acmi-web3 Alive 1 1 17 2 4
The content rule AIC is suspended because if l activate it, it then makes the website www.acmi.net.au unreachable and timesout.
This config was working from day one with the AIC content rule and about another 9 content rules under the owner www.acmi.net.au
If l add the url "/*" command to the content rule "everything-else this also hangs the site www.acmi.net.au

  • Does disabling all access points turn off the WiFi radio on Cisco SA520W

As per the title - does disabling all access points turn off the WiFi radio on Cisco SA520W?  Thanks!

    Hi Denny,
Yes, if you disable all available Access Points configured on your SA520W, then your radio should be off.

  • Content rules issue - request directed to the wrong content

    Hi,
    We have the following setup;
Requests to www.oursite.com goes to the content rule LB_FD_87. Request to www.oursite.com/water/* goes to the more specific content rule FD/WATER_LB_87. Sometimes, for unexplicable reasons, requests for www.oursite.com/water/* are sent to the content rule LB_FD_87 instead of the more specific rule FD/WATER_LB_87 and the client get a 404 error. Anyone have a clue?
    our setup:
    dql FD_87
    domain www.oursite.com index 1
    owner FD
    content LB_FD_87
    add service W0_FD_3.71
    add service W1_FD_3.81

    Hi Gilles,
    I don't understand your sugestion .
I don't think increasing the flow timeout will help since according to CISCO documentation that will only permit to the flow to stay idle longer.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/contnetw/ps792/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00801ee806.html#wp1013729
CISCO DOC: "Configuring Flow Inactivity Timeouts on Content Rules and Source Groups
Use this feature with a CSS to configure flow inactivity timeout values for TCP and UDP flows on a per content rule and per source group basis. This timeout value is not the frequency with which a CSS reclaims flow resources, but is the time period that must elapse for an idle flow before the CSS marks the flow for cleanup. "
And I am not sure of what you mean by "the CSS it will stop looking into the content to detect if a remapping to a better rule is required" I think you mean that the CSS will look for a another content rule if a content rule does not repond to a request. But our understanding is that a CSS look for the more specific content rule to serve a request and if all the service of that content rule are dead the pacquet is drop not send to a another content rule.
We did test that with spefic and less specific content rule and if the more specific content rule as all is services dead the packet is drop not send to the least specific content rule.
thanks for your interest in our problem
We cannot reproduce this problem but still find the line sporadically in the web server log .

  • Defining virtual servers using content-rules

Can multiple virtual servers be "bound" to a single real server when all of the virtual servers have the same ip address and port, with the only difference between each virtual server being a unique content rule applied to each? (This is more of a migration issue, than a load-balance issue)

I assume you are saying Web(HTTP) and the answer is yes.
    1. Your server should has name-based virtual hosting enabled if your server only use 1 IP address.
    2. In CSS, you can use single service for this server or use different services with different keepalive uri for each service.
    3. You can use a number of unique Content rules (same VIP, TCP 80 with different URLs) and add the service to it.
Remarks: If you want to use unique Content rules, you should make them difference with URL, otherwise all the content rules are the same and you can't activate all.
Another suggestion: If your server already support Name-VHOST, you can use just single L4 Content rule and all the traffic would be handled by that server (service).

  • Disabling all the monitors and rules in MP

    Hi,
I am looking for the exact approach on disabling all the items in the monitoring pack and enabling it on demand type approach.
To do so, I am looking for the effective approach. what all the items which should be disabled from the MP Discovery, so that all monitoring contents in the MP is disabled.
Like example: I want to disable all the Monitoring items in Active Directory so that AD roles is not discovered by SCOM.
    Thanks!

  • Disable all properties of a dreamweaver rule at once?

Is there a way to disable all properties of a dreamweaver rule at once?

I so seldom use the CSS panels.  I guess the answer to your question is you can't disable all properties with one click.
You need to click on selector name, right click on a property such as background.  Hit disable.
    Repeat with other properties.
Once you've disabled a group of properties, you can delete them all or enable them all with right click.
    Hope that helps,
    Nancy O.

  • [Solved] Openbox's rc.xml error "Extra content at the end of document"

I have a rather silly problem with Openbox.
I'm not a programming genius so, for me, dealing with XML is a pain but I usually manage to get OB's menus and other docs to work. Ive been banging my head into a wall of xml trying to add my own entry to OpenBox's rc.xml file.  All I want to add is an Xfce terminal centred on my Twinview desktop.  I've done it in the past but right now I can't get the rc.xml file to work.  Whenever I re-configure OpenBox I get the following message spit out at me:
Extra content at the end of document on line ###
So far, this is what I've attempted to get this to work:
    - I have tried recopying a new rc.xml from /etc/xdg/openbox to my home directory's ~/.config/openbox.  I was assuming I'd botched it entirely and started over from the beginning.
    - I have cut/copy/pasted the commented paragraph, above my entry, with the same co-ordinates and with the "force position" set to "yes."
-I've googled this error but I only found one or two semi-relevant hits (from this forum no less!)  Unfortunately I did not find a fix to the issue or a reason as to why this error crops up
I know that it's probably something that is easily missed but I honestly can't see it.  I'm hoping someone on the forum will have run across this issue before and had it fixed.  Below is a copy of my current rc.xml.

You can use whatever tool you prefer - for someone already using emacs, emacs is a natural choice. Simple, easy to use online tools exist e.g. http://schneegans.de/sv/
Just upload the file in question ('Validate by file upload' option) and click 'Validate':

Googling 'xml validation' should give you some more tools / services if this one is not good enough.

    Hi,
NMAP gives the report for the first firewall interface it hits. In your case you have allowed tcp any any where it allows all the ports. I have mentioned only one example.... There are many in your case....
Also NMAP results will be effective once when you directly connect to outside interface or directly on to the outside LAN.
    Regards

  • Layer 5 port 80 content rule breaks realaudio.

I have some layer 5 content rules we are using to filter virus's:
    content block_.ida
    protocol tcp
    port 80
    url "/*"
    header-field-rule .ida weight 0
    add service drop
    active
    header-field-group .ida
    header-field .ida request-line contain ".ida"
This does a great job of filtering what we want, however realaudio which uses port 80 fails. If I disable the content rule the realaudio traffic works.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Thanks for the response. We only have the one real audio stream. I have not seen and reference to .ida within the stream.
Is there anyway to create a content rule stating that all realvideo traffic on port 80 go directly to the original destination with no further processing by the CSS?

  • My Baby Einstein extra content recovery

My son accidentally deleted the My Baby Einstein app from my phone. I was able to restore the app itself to my phone by syncing, but the extra content we had purchased (the Baby Mozart and Lullaby Time video packs) needed to be downloaded again. Unfortunately, the My Baby Einstein app has been removed from the app store, and I can no longer download this content that we paid for. This is really upsetting, because my son LOVES this app, and those were two of his favorite video packs. Is there any way at all to get this stuff back?
Also, as a side note for anyone else who has had similar issues, there IS an option to disable being able to delete apps from the phone. I didn't know about it before, even though I swear I looked through all the Restrictions section, but that's where the option is and I highly recommend disabling the feature before letting little ones play with your iPhone/iPad/whatever.

Unfortunately, the My Baby Einstein app has been removed from the app store, and I can no longer download this content that we paid for."
"Previous purchases may be unavailable if they have been refunded or are no longer on the iTunes Store."

  • Firewall: The invalid rule and all subsequent rules were skipped.

    Hi All,
As a web developer, I have had some experience administering Linux, Solaris, Windows, but I am new to OSX.
I have a problem with the firewall I need help with.
    Here are the symptoms:
    1) Address Groups: Besides any, I have an address group called Admin, it contains my home and work ip address. Other address group is for LAN. When inspecting the properties of a group, the interface tells me 'valid IP address' or 'address range from .. to ..'. This seems OK
    2) When editing an Advanced Rule, I can select one of the Address Groups just created for a source/destination. I save the configuration, resulting in a error 'Error while writing settings (cannot apply one or more rules - detail in log)'.
Opening the editor for the rule again, the field with the source/destination now has a small note under it: 'Invalid IP address, range or group). This is my first problem.
    3) I have now deleted all Advanced Rules and deselected the ones I cannot delete. Still the error message 'Error while writing settings...'. The log offers no help at all:
    May 23 10:17:07 Shaman servermgrd: servermgr_ipfilter:ipfw config:Notice:Disabled firewall
    May 23 10:17:07 Shaman servermgrd: servermgr_ipfilter:ipfw config:Info:Finished generating rules in 2 ms

    May 23 10:17:07 Shaman servermgrd: servermgr_ipfilter:ipfw config:Notice:Enabled firewall
I cannot find out what is wrong from this output.
    3) At this point I may as well turn the firewall off, for instance I have given access to http/ssh/ftp to group 'any', but they can in fact reach any port at all.
Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions,

Well, the obvious question is what does line 18 say?
The log clearly states that the rule on that line is the one it's having problems with:
May 23 10:17:07 Shaman servermgrd: servermgr_ipfilter:ipfw config:Error:Failure code returned by ipfw command: 64, message: 'Line 18: recv, xmit, via require interface name or address\n'
Check /etc/ipfilter/ipfw.conf for the configuration file in question.

  • Getting BAM Error: BAM-06008: The XML payload is invalid; extra contents we

    Hi All,
    Version: 11.1.1.4
We are getting the BAM Error: "BAM-06008: The XML payload is invalid; extra contents were found" after I added a another field to a BAM Object. I can see the new field in BAM and I can also see it when I pull up and map to a BAM adapter in my SOA composite. However, when I have the process send a payload with the newly added field it fails with the above error. However, if I add a new data object in BAM with the field it works fine. What would be causing BAM to think that the newly added field should be in payload?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    --S

If the layout of the data object changes then you need to restart BAM server for changes to take effect. Also make sure, your mapper file isn't adding extra elements than expected.
    Thanks

  • BAM-06008: The XML payload is invalid; extra contents were found.

    Hi All,
    Version:11.1.1.6
We are getting the BAM Error: "BAM-06008: The XML payload is invalid; extra contents were found" after I added a another field to a BAM Object.I have added that extra field to corresponding data objects .wsdl file as well as in the .xsd. I can see the new field in the BAM DO. However, when I used to send a payload with the newly added field it fails with the above error. However, if I add a new data object in BAM with the field it works fine.
Why  am  I getting this error?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

I have followed the following steps:-
1.Make entry of new field in ".wsdl" file which is in the BAM folder.
2.Make entry of new filed in ".xsd" file.
3.Make appropriate mappings in ".xsl" file corresponding to the sensor's action.
Initially i was only restarting BAM and was facing above mentioned error. After restarting SOA as well as BAM server, it started working.

  • DISABLE" ALL user web/internet addresses/sites in a PDF?

Professionally & Personally - I use, make, and Read many PDF files daily [reports, documents, & books]; I have many "many" thousands of PDF documents in my Archives.
    A. Background:
    1.    I have heard, since Acrobat 5, many security specialist have deemed JAVA as a THREAT; and PDF as a security concern! Recently Reported Home Land Security has deemed JAVA as an on-going "continuing high threat", in spite of se7u11; reported that DHLS expressed that 28% of reported ATTACKS were from Adobe Acrobat PDF files embedded user malicious software code [ever growing numbers of attacks]. <PDF security is a major growing DOD concern!>
    2.    To my great surprise from "IT" professional who disabled JAVA in his Department's systems, the current Security Software and specific program updates offer no real solution or resolutions to this ongoing security problem. I understood that Virus and Trojan Checkers do not check malicious software code hidden inside PDF files, and software updates do not remove or make safe the malicious software code in the actual PDF – thus it remains a potentially very DISTRUCTIVE-DATA-BOMB just setting in your databases awaiting to be activated at some future date.
    3.    "This is very tedious and time consuming!" I have since disabled JAVA in my Adobe Acrobat and run each PDF through "PDF OPTIMIZER" - Discarding all User Data, User Objects, and especially User JAVA Codes – and disable my LAN internet connection -- before utilizing it. I don’t know if this is of any good or not – but I feel safer.
    B. PROBLEMS & QUESTIONS (I’ve given each question its own string to assist with preventing confusion)!
    2.    Using an Adobe Acrobat program function - how can I "REMOVE & DISABLE" ALL [100%] of user noted, embedded, or hidden web/internet addresses/sites in a PDF? What is Adobe's solution?

    try67;
I do so appreciate your assistance…
Each of my “QUESTIONS” are specific, direct, and unique – Please Read THEM and answer if you can – if you do not have the technical ability or understanding of my question please do not “scold” me!
Although I have used in business and own computers since the 1970’s [built one myself], I’ve not had to concern myself with programming since, DOS, Lotus/IBM/Apple Basic and COBAL --- especially after XP release I gave up even trying to figure what each does. I did not mean to offend as to which specific JAVA version and/or product is the problem, since I personally have no CLUE – and today totally depend upon goodwill of smart guys like you.
Specifically why recently DHLS [IT security folks and DOD for many years] is saying that Malicious Software code in PDF files is such a big threat and responsible for 28% of the systems attacks I do not know the technicalities or reasoning of these assertions – except it had something to do with JAVA CODE/JavaScript[?] contained inside the actual PDF which virus software doesn’t detect or destroy?  I do not know if it is the Additional CODE placed inside the PDF by the bad actor and/or the changing of actual Adobe Program Code is the problem? I may be chasing may tail!
My biggest concern for many years into the future -- is protecting my very large PDA database/Archive, multiple Systems, my personal information, and to try to the best of my ability to not pass PDF having within it Malicious Software CODE [JAVA CODE/JavaScript?] put into it by a bad actor.
Since my PDF database Archives [and back-ups] is many terabytes – it is impossible to “import” each PDF into Acrobat and run PDF Optimizer (removing Adobe known user placed codes and data) – as I am doing now.
This is again my very specific question -  Using an Adobe Acrobat program function - how can I "REMOVE & DISABLE" ALL [100%] of user noted, embedded, or hidden web/internet addresses/sites in a PDF?
Thank you so very much for your knowledge, help, and interest.

  • Painting one root Application Module to rule them all

    hi
The description below uses the same MyApplicationModuleListener approach as I describe in the forum thread "painting a picture of Application Module pooling".
Another example review of Application Module pools behaviour is the blog post by Chris Muir, "JDev 11g, Task Flows & ADF BC – one root Application Module to rule them all?".
That post also says "... we'll have trouble discerning what the ADF BC layer is actually doing underneath the task flow transaction options. ...", where the approach below might help alleviate some of that discerning trouble.
And about "... By deduction as there are no other log entries, this second instance of Root1AppModule must be nested under the root Root1AppModule? ..." more information will be logged, so less deduction is required.
The blog post describes an application similar to this one (which is using the HR.EMPLOYEES table) created using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2012/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.01.zip
It uses somewhat different names than the blog post, and it has two sets of task-flows so that no transaction configuration changes are required to review the behaviour.
When a MyApplicationModuleListener approach is introduced (with minor changes, mostly configuration, using JAR files available in MyApplicationModuleListenerApp-v0.03.zip) it results in the application available
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2012/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.02.zip
Using this, the (chained) "No Controller Transaction" scenario's result in similar logging like this:

Suggestions to improve such MyApplicationModuleListener approach (or an alternative approach) are welcome.

Some additional features were added in the JAR files available
    in http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2013/MyApplicationModuleListenerApp-v0.05.zip
Like line numbers, or a queryOneRecord() method to support logging the database session SID, or a TaskFlowInfoHelper class to allow logging task-flow transaction options or DataControlFrame information.
If these JAR files are used, it results in the modified example application
    at http://www.consideringred.com/files/oracle/2013/OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.03.zip
For the same scenarios (using OneSizeOneRootAMApp-v0.03.zip), the resulting logging can be found in these files:
    - "maml-log-20130113-jdev111160-nctx.txt" : when using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 and the chained "No Controller Transaction" scenario :
    [0002][C][L][r1001][(ctx31) /faces : /firstIndex] logContextInformation() :
    [0003]#{a_versionBean.appVersionInfo} = OneSizeOneRootAMApp v0.03 : oracle.jbo.Version = 11.1.1.61.92
    [0007][C][L][r1002][(ctx32) /faces : /firstIndex] onAfterPrepareModel() : task-flow = (no current TaskFlowId) (unbounded task-flow pages)
[0008]transaction type = (no current TaskFlowId), DC scope = (no current TaskFlowId), DC frame = e1o4lmuw3_2, open transaction = null, is transaction dirty = false

[0047]transaction type = -No Controller Transaction-, DC scope = shared DataControlScopeType, DC frame = e1o4lmuw3_2, open transaction = null, is transaction dirty = true

[0061](am502) SID = 27 for select sys_context('USERENV', 'SID') as sid from dual
Notice the transaction type and DataControl scope information per task-flow.
Notice the different database session SID values ("[0058](am501) SID = 41" and "[0061](am502) SID = 27") during the same request [r1005].
    - "maml-log-20130113-jdev111230-nctx.txt" : when using JDeveloper 11.1.2.3.0 and the chained "No Controller Transaction" scenario :

    [0003]#{a_versionBean.appVersionInfo} = OneSizeOneRootAMApp v0.03 : oracle.jbo.Version = 11.1.2.62.76
Notice the logged information seems similar to when, for the same application and scenario, JDeveloper 11.1.1.6.0 is used (above).

[0064](am501) SID = 41 for select sys_context('USERENV', 'SID') as sid from dual
Notice that nested Application Module instances are created, resulting in one database session SID value per request.

[0074](am502) SID = 38 for select sys_context('USERENV', 'SID') as sid from dual
Notice that two root Application Module instances are used in the same request (and no nested instances), and both (am501) and (am502) report using the same database session SID value. That seems to be "Bruce" [1] at work.
Remember, it should not be difficult (and not intrusive) to configure similar logging for other ADF applications.
