CS 3 Design Premuim Installation

I have never owned a program with such LOUSY SUPPORT. I went from all of the Cs3 working except the help files. Foolishly I let Adobe convince me to unload the program and then try to re install. After every fix they could come up with and 2 weeks I can not even use the software at all. I am going to level 2 support if they ever call back. I have invested way to much time in attempting to get the software to see the help files. I had a very difficult time installing this program a couple years back when I purchased it. This software only wants to install on new computers.

I'm having CS3 install errors/issues too with Vista.... I've uninstalled CS2 Creative Suite on my laptop to be able to update it to the standard I have in my shop (4 computers running their own license of ProdSuite:CS3 = $3996 of Adobe product) and my understanding is we can also install on second computer, which I want to do on my new laptop (Windows unfortunately Vista).
I uninstalled CS2, I've run the Adobe CScleanup app. And then go to install CS3 suite and it acts like it fully install until the end. I then get the 'Failed components' which happen to be all the Adobe stuff: InDesign, Illustrator, PScs3ext., Bridge. All the Macromedia stuff installed: Dreamweaver, Flash.
So, what's it take. When I call Tech support of course they want $40 to solve this. Which ticks me off because I've spent a fortune with this company and all I want to do is use it on my laptop so I can work with the files while out of the office.
Anyone know the trick to install (yes, I'm installing as Administrator and it's the only login) on Vista?
I've got over 5 hrs. into this already and no luck.

  • Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard installer not listing InDesign as an option.

I uninstalled InDesign CS5.5 from Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard to try get Adobe Content Viewer working. But now there is no way to re-install from the from the Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard Installer. It only lists my remaining products: PS, Ai and Acrobat X. How can I re-install?

    On Mac 10.7.5.
In Utilities/Adobe Installers/ I used the "Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard". I unchecked InDesign to uninstall with the intent of re-installing later. The screen for the installer now looks like this: As you can see, there are no re-install options.

10.5.8 is the minimum. You'll need to upgrade the operating system.
I strongly recommend a clean install.

This occured while installing CS6 design premium suite for terachers/students in MAC OSX 10.8.4. Downloaded Adobe support adivsor but did not report any problems. I have NO OTHER Adobe products presently installed. What next?

  • CS5.5 Design Premium: installer failed to initialize

Ok, I'm having this problem.  This started because I had to perform a system restore.  I ended having to go back so far with the system restore that all of my Adobe Products(among others) no longer appeared to be installed.
So I downloaded Adobe CS5.5 Design premium from a link mentioned elsewhere in the discussions.  Everything extracts fine, but when I execute the installer it always prompts "installer failed to initialize".  I have downloaded the Adobe support advisor.  It shows multiple:
cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred.
Click here for details and corrective actions related to this issue.
I have clicked the links(http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-error-messages-bootstrapper-cs5.html)  below and followed the instructions.  There is no "InProgress" Entry in the registry in the locations provided.   I have also ran the "Adobe CS5 Cleaner Tool " Multiple times and have removed ALL.   I have deleted every directory on this computer that says Adobe.
This is a clients computer and we REALLY don't want to wipe and reload(Money/time and all that).  Can anyone help me with this error?

System restore is a first resort for most people when there is a problem in Windows.  Obviously it wasn't a hit in this situation.  I know a wipe and reload would fix it.  If you read my post you'd see I'm trying to avoid that.  If you have any information that can help me there I would love to know it.

  • CS5.5 Design Premium Installation Help

I have downloaded CS5.5 Design Premium through a download link given to me by an Adobe live-chat officer. I wish to re-install it (after losing all the programs from my Mac OS X 10.9). I do not have any installation DVD.
When I double-click 'Install', a window pops up and reads "Install" can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. How can I install the CS5.5 Design Premium Suite?

It's because of the Security options.
Go to System Preferences... > Security & Privacy and there should be a button saying Open Anyway, under the General tab.
You can avoid doing this by changing the options under Allow apps downloaded from:, however I would recommend keeping it at the default Mac App Store and identified developers.

  • Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium installation

Hi, I have just start my new iMac computer. Downloaded CS5.5 Design Premium fine.
When it was close to finishing the installation there was an issue with closing Safari which I did and also something else which looked Safari related but nothing else was open.
So I had to cancel the installation. This has left me without Acrobat X Pro.
Trying to install Acrobat provides the following error.
    Your installation encountered errors.
Please try restarting your system and installing again.
    Exit Code: 7

    Help much appreciated.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.
I opened my Utilities > Activity Monitor
Found the SafariNotificationAgent and tried to quit this first, didn't shut it down... so I then force quit it.
I then tried to install but this still came up with the error.
But I then tried uninstalling Flash and then reinstalling Flash and Acrobat and this worked a treat... it then installed fine.
Please note: when I uninstalled Flash I went into:
Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers > Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium
It was here I uninstalled just Flash so it took all the parts out.

  • My Acrobat 9 Pro + Designer 8  installation is 2,448MB!

Below are the primary folders for my Acrobat 9 Pro installation on Windows 7 64 bit. There are a few other folders, but not much space used. It looks like the folders 'Designer 8.2', 'Setup Files', and 'Update' folders are taking up 1,648 MB, leaving about 622 MB of actual Acrobat 9 Pro program files. I assume the Setup Files folder can be deleted or moved to backup, but what about the 496MB Update folder? Adobe Designer 8.2 takes up 517 MB by itself.  I haven't used it yet, but do occasionally need to do business forms. Is it worth that much HDD space?
At about 2.5GB Acrobat Pro 9 + Designer 8 program files takes up almost as much disk space as CS5 Design Standard plus Lightroom 3. Any feedback is appreciated.

What has happened is that you have selected to install the PDF add-on which will not run alongside your version of Acrobat. Without warning, the installation just uninstalls the incompatible full version of Acrobat.
I don't think you can just uninstall the add-on so you will need to uninstall Rh, reinstall Acrobat 9 then reinstall Rh deselecting the add-on.
I am not sure that will be entirely trouble free as Word has to be compatible with Acrobat and I don't know if your two versions are.
It's not a way of forcing you to upgrade but I do agree it could be handled better.

  • Creative suite 5 design premium installation

I have been a user since the very 1st version and hoped to stay one!I used PS every day for many clients at my place or theirs. I got sick and then forced to retire. I own a copy of Creative Suite 5 Design Premium and a unused powerful computer it was supposed to go on. I now am in need of the software for my own use as an artist. I will be making sand blast masks, wood working layouts and cutting sheets and patterns for wood or metal artworks for my house. I will not be using it every day or for business any longer. I do not expect to need much support or updates to this version. I know it has everything I need already in it. I do not want to pay any fees of any kind to use the software I already paid a bunch for. Will I be able to do the installation with out being forced to join the Adobe cult and pay some fees for "The Cloud:" I do not need or want?

If you have a serial number and either physical discs or the downloaded install files you are good to go... CS5 was issued long before the Cloud

  • CS4 Design Premium Installation Problem with DVDs

    Hey,
I just bought the student Edition of the CS4 Desgin premium package.
    Have Windows XP SP3
Anyway I put in the first DVD...and it loads...and loads....and loads...like half an hour.
Nothing...cant open via explorer as well.
So I restart with Dvd in the drive. restart took a bit longer but now I can acces via explorer.
    I start installation...works fine...put in Dvd2...works fine...Put in dvd3...loads...loads....loads...
just for fun I put in dvd"Content"....loads...loads....loads.
Ok so now I'm right in the middle of the installation...so cant just restart
(I did try later after aborting Installation: then I can read em like dvd1)
Now I have just installed half....with conent of dvd3-"content" missing
I tested 25 other dvds I had laying around...all starting within the sec I entered em, so dvd drive seems fine.
Cant remember how see specs at moment...but lets just say I can play "Crysis" on High smoothly
It would maybe work if I could somehow install the content of dvd3 and dvd"Content" seperatley?
    (do I need dvd "content"?)
Or how about If i create images of em and then mount em...think that would work (know a good free program?)?
    would appreciate some help
    VectorCookie

I strongly suspect a bad production run of Adobe DVDs - I had enormous problems (see previous thread somewhere in this forum) attempting to install my Student Version Design Premium from the DVDs which Adobe sent me.  I then had absolutely no help from their telephone support.  I then had similarly no help from their online support portal - and, in fact, got really mad at them about it all.  I spent days trying to sort it out.  This message board - and one guru in particular - was very supportive and patient.
My solution: I downloaded the trial version of the Creative Suite I had bought, installed from that (fast, easy, no problems at all) and then used the product key from the DVDs I had bought direct from Adobe.  So, I had to spend three days downloading (very slow broadband here) but it did, at least, get me a working copy.
I wish Adobe would own up to sending out duff DVDs - but when I asked them (about the second question I asked in my first phone call) I was told that it was so unlikely that she (tech support woman) wanted me to try (all manner of ridiculous) other things first.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
    Jason.

The complete log files can be found at the following location (say if C: is your primary drive) -
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
Most probably VC runtimes are failing to install on your machine (as per the following log messages) -
    ERROR:  - Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86: Install failed
    ERROR:  - Microsoft_VC80_ATL_x86: Install failed
Try installing them individually. To install them you need to double click the respective msi files which can be found in the installer 'payloads' folder like -
    payloads\Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86\Microsoft_VC90_ATL_x86.msi
Once you have successfully installed the msi files run the installer again.

  • CS4 Design premium installation questions

I have the student edition of CS4 design premium.  I have gone through the process of obtaining a serial number and am ready to intall, but I have some questions.
One, I have been using trial downloads of Dreamweaver CS4 and Photoshop CS4 to try to learn the basic of using these two programs.  The Dreamweaver trial period expires today.  Should I uninstall my two trial downloads before trying to install the entire suite from the disks, or can I just put my serial number into the appropriate place for these two programs and then proceed to install the others from my disks?
Two, the set of disks I received (ordered through some third party supplier via Amazon) came with absolutely no instructions, manual or information about installing.  There are three disks (labelled Content, Application 1, and Application 2) and an additional Learning Creative Suite 4 disk which doesn't seem to contain anything at all about installation.  How do I know which one of the three main disks to start with for installation?

You cannot use the serial number for the student version of the suite (or any other version of the suite for that matter) on any individual programs. Totally uninstall those programs. Then install the suite starting with the Application 1 DVD. When prompted to, enter the serial number you were provided with. The install process will at some point request that you replace Application 1 DVD with Application 2 DVD. The content of the "Content" and "Learning" DVDs is optional and you can copy those to wherever you like on your file system.
Your "third party supplier via Amazon" should have provided instructions to you.

  • CS4 Design Premium installation issue

I have an issue when attempting to install CS4 Design Premium on my Mac Mini.  The issue begins when the first DVD is finished and the second DVD is requested.  The active dialog box is blank with no text and buttons and I am not able to click anywhere in the dialog box.
The only error I get when installing is that I do not have the recommended amount of memory (1GB versus 2GB).  My Mac Mini is running Mac OSX 10.5.7 and otherwise complies with the requirements for use.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
