CS 3: Program Launch Problem

Yesterday I installed CS3 web premium on Windows 7. The installation process in and of itself went really smoothly, however, when I tried opening illustrator it wouldn't come up. Hoping it was just a problem with that particular application, I tried to open the rest of the programs and the same problem occurred. The interesting thing is that there is no error message. The loading icon shows up by the cursor for a few seconds and then nothing happens. Thank you for your time!

I too am experiencing the same problem with my re-installation of CS3 Design Premium! I know that this version works on Win7 because my laptop has it running on it. My laptop is WIN7 Ultimate, 64, dual core. My new desktop (1 DAY OLD) is WIN7 Home, 64bit, 6 core. I have downloaded a fresh copy of the .exe file, expoloded it onto my local drive, ran install without any error messages, tried to start PS, and it just hangs... can't even get to license screen. (AND OH YEAH... this is my second BRAND NEW desktop trying this on with the same result) Tried Ilustrator, dreamweaver, and all others... they don't even get to a GUI... just show pointer processing for a few seconds and then NOTHING! Have tried manually installing updates... NOTHING! Adobe will no longer support even an installation and, of course, recommend buying the most recent version. Interesting business strategy I must say

CS6 Design & Web Premium "Program Launching Problem"

II purchased CS6 Design & Web Premium in September and have been using the program ever since and everything was working fine until this week when I tried to launch Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc. and I got the following message:
“The procedure entry point GetLogicalProcessorInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernal32.dll”.
Consequently, the majority of the programs won't operate at all because of this. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS6 and also using the Adobe CC Cleaner Tool. Also, I've reinstalled Windows and even replaced my Processor thinking that might be the issue but nothing has fixed the problem. NOTE: By the way, I also own CS5.5 Design and Web Premium and everything works fine.
Now I'm getting the message when I try to launch Illustrator that I'm only using a "Trial Version" and I have to sign in.
Please help me. I really need to use CS6.

Kubins I would recommend reviewing your installation log to determine the exact error message. The Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued.

Projector as program launcher problem

Greetings all!
I'm working on a company project that's incorporating a Flash projector as a launcher/installer. The idea is that a CD-Rom will be placed in your drive, based upon a button click, the projector will determine whether or not a specific program is installed. If the program is installed, then the projector moves onto the next step but if the program is not installed, a 3rd party installer is supposed to launch first to install the necessary program that the included files will need to open up in.
I'm not a high level coder and have been having some trouble finding the right code solution. I'm using AS3 and the final product needs to run in projector.exe form.
Here's the code that's been written so far:

Here's the error code I get that I am having trouble resolving:
1120: Access of undefined property flash
I can't seem to get the above variable to work but I have tested the rest of the code components seperately and everything else seems to work. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

Dreamweaver MX 6.1 Launch problems

I recently purchased a new computer and tried to install my
dreamweaver MX 6.1 and when I launch the app, it just hangs on the
spash screen. All my other studio MX programs launch fine (flash,
fireworks, etc).
Running XP service pack 2.
Could someone point me in the right direction?

version of Dreamweaver 8 and it ran fine. When I checked the
configutration folder is was were you said it was. I checked the
configuration folders for Flash, Fireworks, etc and they are all
there. I tried unistalling and reinstalling DW MX 6.1 but the
configuration file is not there. I am guessing that is my problem.
Can you help further??

Try this:
Sign out from the Creative Cloud app and Quit it (Quit option will be available after a few seconds).
Now move the following folders to desktop:
1) SLCache
Windows: OS Drive\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
2) SLStore
Windows: OS drive\ProgramData\Adobe
Mac: Library/Application Support/Adobe
3) OOBE
Windows: OS Drive\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe
Mac: /User/Library/Application Support/Adobe
Now launch Premiere Pro and sign in with your Adobe ID.
NOTE: Make sure your Anti Virus/Firewall is not blocking any Adobe activation servers. Alternately, you can also check your 'hosts' file for any changes.

Acrobat Launch Problems

Acrobat 9 will no longer launch. What can I do to correct this?

I don't know of anything that changed.
I tried to open a document I had just downloaded and nothing happened at
all. Same thing when I tried to open the program itself
I decided to restart my computer, and after I did that, it is now working
again.
It has done this on several occasions before and once I had to download
some sort of patch or update to get it going again.

I have a program that sends information(analog output) to lab windows cvi in the form of a text file or user input.
The program runs on the computers that I have the field point explorer and lab windows cvi installed on. In order to run the program without always installing labwindows/cvi and field point; I wanted to create an executable file that could be load on another computer.
I used the create distribution kit part of labwindows/cvi to do this.After creating the distribution kit, I then installed it
to another computer.
My user interface appears on the screen, when the user clicks on the exe. file, but no data is sent to the field point module. I know that the data is being read from the user and textfile because in it appears in the uir.
The following are some details about the problem:
1. On another computer without labwindows/cvi and field point explorer not installed - no data is sent to field point module
I know this because a current is being read on the current meter connected to field point module.
My questions are the following:
1. What are the possible reasons for the data not being sent to the field point module?
2. Do I still need to create an iak. (Installing Field point Explorer) file stored on any new computer that I install my created distribution kit file too?

1) If you do not install FieldPoint Explorer, the FieldPoint Server is not installed so there is nothing on the target computer that knows how to talk to the FieldPoint system.
2) Yes, you need an IAK file on the target computer. Assuming the settings (i.e. com port#) are identical you can simply include the iak file as part of the distribution.
3) You also need to include as part of your installer the file "fplwmgr.dll". If this file is not installed, your program will not be able to access the FieldPoint Server. Alternatively, this file is installed automatically if FieldPoint Explorer detects LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio Development versions on the target computer or if you choose to do a custom FieldPoint Explorer installation and
choose to provide LabWindows/CVI support.

You can get Xcode without joining the developer program. Just go to the App Store and download it (it's free).
You'd only need to join the Developer program if you want to put your app into the App Store, this is for OS X.
You will need to join the Developer program if you want to develop for IOS. In that case you will need a parent or guardian.

Help ma boab did you migrate over your applications and settings from your old computer? It does appear the installer was unable to create the Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder since your current User account did not have sufficient access to either modify they Applications or Adobe Photoshop CS5 folder if it already exists.
If you migrated/copied any files or applications from your old computer then I would recommend running the uninstaller from the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder. Once you have uninstalled please run the CC Cleaner Tool prior to reinstalling Photoshop CS5. New Speedgrade CC keeps crashing as the program launches. The last version ran fine. I'm using a Macbook Pro with (10.7.5) 8 gigs of ran. Help or thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm having this same issue with Direct Link with the most recent versions of Premiere and SG. I have tried unistalling and reinstalling both apps along with a system restart. Nothing fixes it. I DO NOT have any third party plugins for premiere installed. I have a couple VideoCopilot plugins for After Effects on the maching, just Optical Flares and Element 3D. Wehn I use the Direct Link feature it will crash SpeedGrade. If I open JUST SpeedGrade and import some video clips into the timeline it runs fine. It seems to only have issues when I try opening a Premiere timeline within SpeedGrade.
I am running it on a Series 7 Chronos Samsung Laptop with 12GB of RAM and a 3.2 Core i7 Processor. The Graphics card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 650M with 2GB of dedicated video memory. I feel my specs are more than enough to run the programs succesfully.
If I need to provide log files, I would be happy to do that, but I will need to be instructed on how to do that.
Any other questions about how I am using the software or any other details about my hardware, just let me know. I hope to get this fixed soon as I am about to cancel my subscription to CC. The issues I have had with CC are starting to affect my business and it is costing me more money than I would like. Please let me know if you have a fix or have had a similar issue that you have found a solution for.

Asb x-fi xtreme audio console launcher problems on windows 7 32bit'sI recently installed windows 7, because I was tired from Windows XP, but unfortunately after installing all the drivers for my hardware I realized my 5. isn't working quite as expected.
My first problem was, that the Crystalizer didn't work, after installing tons of different software, found on creative labs forums the crystalizer started working.
Then I realized that the CMSS-3D wasn't (and still isn't working). How do I fix that ? I've tried numerous ways but nothing happens, while in windows XP everything worked fine after installing the drivers.
I also miss some configuration options in the Creative Console Launcher, namely the check boxes:
?"Automatically enable headphone settings" and "Automatically mute speakers".
Where the hell did they go?! I use them, I need them. How do I get them back? Is XP somehow privileged than 7? Isn't it supposed to be the opposite?
I also can't change the speaker configuration - it's stays 5. whatever I do, and the drop-down menu with the choices is missing?! Auto-detect option doesn't work, and if it did worked - I don't need it.

To : woj2322, You may need to download and install the Dell Notebook System Software version 5.0.5. This installs patch fixes to solve the PCI ExpressCard device not work correctly. This is only for the DELL Inspiron 520 Notebook (See Below). Microsoft patch fix info below also. Also, I see there's other people that are having the same issue, maybe you to need to download and install the patch fix for your notebook's on dell's website. No believe me the book is bad! The only reason I asked is I am in a university class that uses those two books for there course. The author messed up on HelloWorld.java with 4 errors at compile time! How can anyone be that stupid since they are the ones who are supposed to be teaching me the fundamentals of Java. Anyhow I just wanted other people's thoughts about the books.

Run scripts when program launches and quits?

Howdy all!
Skipping the details: I need to run an AppleScript when a specific program launches and run another AppleScript when that program quits. Anyone know of a free/easy way to do this? (A custom script would work great but my knowledge of AppleScript is limited.)
I have found a few programs that can do this but have yet to find the "perfect" one. For example: In the past I have jury-rigged ControllerMate to do it, but this is for a new computer and I don't want to spend $25 for this simple purpose. I also found Do Something When but the program hasn't been updated in 6 years so I am hesitant to use it.
Any other thoughts on free programs or where I could find info for a custom script?

You will need to use something that can observe NSWorkspace events. An Applescript can be used, how easy depends on the OS you are using (if you are still using Leopard, you will need to use Xcode). Do Something When still works, as far as I can tell.

I uninstalled itunes because I was having launch problems. Now when I try to re install itunes, I click on download and it goes right to thank you page and NO itunes anywhere.

Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are unable to download the purchases from your purchase history, because iTunes believes the songs to be in your library. It may be necessary to delete the items from your library, then re-download from your purchase history. Before doing so, you may want to take note of which song are available for re-download:
