CS 3 Web Premium won't let me register

I am running a Quad Core Intel Mac Pro with system 10.6.8
I have a store bought copy of Adobe CS3 Web Premium that I have been using for several years with no issues.
Suddenly 2 days ago, I attempt to use Photoshop and it prompts me to register the program.
My authorized serial number appears in the window already, so I click "Activate Now"
It says "Activation - NO Connection" I am typing this on the same computer... so I am obviously connected. I tried the Activate over the phone option. When you call, the number is no longer in service as they don't do Activation by phone any more. The online activation is only for CS5 or higher.
Any suggestions?

Design and Web Premium won't update

I am trying to update a few computers on our closed network to 16.0.5 for Illustrator and 13.0.1.3 for Photoshop CS6. I have been able to update other computers with different CS6 suites on them, but Design and Web Premium won't allow me to install the updates. Are there different patches for this program? If not, what do I need to do to patch these systems?

It sounds like maybe you are trying to install an upgrade version. To do that you need to either have the version from which you upgraded installed or you need to have the serial number from that version. If that is not the case, then you need to explain a little more regarding what your problem is.

I was given an older ipod as a gift and want to load the songs into my computer, but it says that I can not access the sync feature. I registered for an Apple ID and when I tried it won't let me register.

When I was given the iPod it had a GREAT load of songs already on it. (That was part of the whole "gift" thing.) I want to sync it and create playlists in my own library and copy the songs to my computer's library too. I applied for an Apple ID, and find that this is so old that eventhough it was NEVER registered it is listed under a weird username and won't let me register as the new owner to access the music and sync. What do I do? It is an older version (I'm assuming) with 80G and only 25 have been used. I can't access the music already loaded and don't want to lose the mp3 files I have in my existing library now too.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The music files, were they bought from your iTunes account or did someone gift them to you after buying from the iTunes account? If they are yours you can download them again if you clear or de-authorise the ipod, it has to be done by whoever gave you the ipod to do this (the registered owner). If they were bought for you on another itunes account I don't think Apple let you use them as they are copyrighted and they don't belong to you, they belong to the person who bought them. If the music files where ripped from music cd's then click and drag them to a new folder on your desktop and have the person who gave you the ipod to de-authorise and unregister it. Then you re register it and put your files back from your desktop folder in your iTunes folder and synch. Hopefully that would work. Any files which you did not buy, I would not know how get around this, best bet is to take it to you nearest Apple Store and explain that they were gifted to you and ask how you can use them. The best way to gift music files is to buy the gift tokens and give these. Hope above helps.

Relax, nobody's ripping you off...
Apps are tied to the Apple ID you purchased them on and not the device so getting them all back is easy so long as you know the account details. To reinstall the apps just use the App Store and use the original Apple ID (account) that was used to purchase them, then re-install. If you setup a new Apple ID on your device when you initialized iOS 5 then go into the App Store app and change the account back to the one that was there before. Then go to update > Not on this iPhone and start installing...

Some web-sites won't let me in, or send me in loops.

I hope this is the correct place to post this question. I have developed a problem with some web-sites that won't let me in. They used to, and I don't really know when the problems started, and it is only some sites. Most are well-behaved, and the same comments apply whether I am using Safari 3 or 4 or Firefox, so it doesn't really seem like a browser problem tome... more a system/set-up problem.
I am currently running OSX 10.5.6 with all the most current updates applied. My machine is a 2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac, with 4GB SDRAM, linked to the web via a Dynamode router, using a wired Ethernet connection. My wife is running a slightly earlier Intel iMac through the same router... I mention this point as the problems I am asking about do not occur with her machine).
The problem is this, and occurs whether I am using Safari 3 or 4 (my 'preferred' browser), or Firefox. Certain web sites let me in so far, and then either throw me around in loops, or just refuse to take any input on certain pages. Particular ones are
www.emusic.com I choose 'Login' on the 'Start Page', which takes me to the 'Enter Login Details' page. I enter my login details and click 'Submit' and am then thrown back to the 'Start Page'.... which then produces and endless loop...
www.which-local.co.uk I enter my login details on the 'Start Page', click "Login" and am thrown back to the 'Start Page' to enter my login details again... this is again an endless loop...
www.royalmail.com I work through the sequence 'Personal Customers'/Sending mail overseas/Airmail/Buy online now/Overseas and weight/Country(Oman)/Airmail Small Packets - Buy and Print/ Enter login details and Login - Print your postage/Complete the address - Continue... and I'm back to the 'Buy Online Now' page.(Although this latter one is a longer sequence, it is very similar to the other two... there are others... one lets me get to a certain page, then will not accept any text entry on the page.)
www.apple.com I log-in with my Apple ID, and get sent to the Set Up Your Account page (which contains a blue link that would let me cancel my account. I quit there, and go back to the log-in page... just can't get in... unless I do what I havedone to enable me to write this query... that is, to restart under Safe Boot... which is a lot of fuss to get into the forums.
With all these sites, if I do a Restart and a Safe Boot (Shift Key) then the problems all disappear. And as I said earlier, the problems do not occur when I use my wife's machine. This implies to me that there is something in my set-up that is causing the problems, and which is disabled in Safe Boot.
Under OS 9 I would then have gone to the control panels and done a binary search with restarts until I had isolated the process that was causing the problem.
I have deleted Intego Firewall, and Intego Virus Barrier. They are the only major items that seem possible culprits, and which have never been installed on my wife's machine (which runs only under the built-in OSX Firewall that is configured exactly as mine is, allowing access for specific services and applications... among them Safari and Firefox), which seems to have no problems. This doesn't seem to have helped - (though they have been involved in other problems in the past, which have then been resolved). I can think of no way that I can identify what is interfering with both browsers in this way. I have both browsers configured to accept cookies, and not to block pop-ups, as each of these has caused problems with other sites in the past!!.
So where do I go from here!!?

It still sounds like there is a problem with cookies being set. Since you were previously running a virus scanner, did it do something with the cookie databases, such as change their permissions? Don't bother with repairing permissions from Disk Utility, it does nothing inside a user account - for that, you would need to use the Reset Password utility from the OS installation disk.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium won't launch on Mac

I use 13 inch MacBook Air. I downloaded Adobe Creative Suite 5 Web Premium from my college. It has Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Illustrator CS5. But only Flsh and Dreamweaver launch when I click them. When I click Photoshop and Illustrator, nothing happends.
I tried uninstalling them and reinstalled but still not launching. I updated mac to mavericks and installed the java update but still nothing happens when I click them. Also Acrobat Pro I downloaded from my college doesn't launch either.
Let me know if you need any more information about my device.

illustrator cs5 has been reported as incompatible, ps cs5 compatible and i can't tell which acrobat pro version you're trying to use.

C3 Web Premium won't update on Windows 7 64bit

The auto-update program pops up to indicate that updates are available. When I run the update, it stops midway and tells me that I must shut down XSrvSetup.exe before proceeding. However, I can find XSrvSetup.exe in my list of running processs, applications, or services. I think XSrvSetup.exe is somehow related to the JMB36X service, but I can't shut this service down - not sure what it does either.
Can I not update CS3 Web Premium on Windows 7 64bit?

Cracked it! in task manager on teh processes tab there is an option to "show processes from all users". xsrvsetup.exe is a system process. I stopped it and then ran the update through sucessfully.

My envy printer won't let me register for efax.

My envy printer series 110 will not let me register for efax. I keep gettting an error message that the printer is not connected to the internet, but it is. I tried the eprint fix, but it did not work.

Windows 7 home premium won't let me install HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909

I've tried downloading Windows 7 drives from HP but I still get and x saying isn't supported by this OS. Is there anything I can do?

I can certainly understand why you'd think it's not meant to work, but it definitely should.
There are drivers available for your operating system and the 8500 Wireless, so please click here to download said drivers and let me know if this seems to work or not.
If not, please try downloading and running the HP Printer Install Wizard and let me know if it works.

Newly Installed CS4 Design Premium won't let me use Acrobat 9

When I open us Acrobat 9, it says that my license is no good. I just installed the entire suite, with a registered serial number, less than 12 hours ago. This is on a custom built computer using Windows XP Pro. What the heck could be wrong?

Is this a downloaded product or a DVD? Is the copy of Acrobat installed
the one that came with the suite or is it a separately installed version
of Acrobat? Adobe does offer free tech support on current versions for
installation issues.

Dreamweaver (CS3) (running Windows Vista) begins to load then
when it starts to load the cache, stops responding. Windows
notifier asks to close program and offer solution - no solution
forthcoming. I've restarted the computer; did a restore; registry
scan, still no luck.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. If I have to reinstall,
what should I be saving?

2 iPhones, 2 Apple IDs, 2 iTune accounts. With all this how do we sit up two iClould accounts? Web site won't let me download a 2nd version of iCloud to create a second account.

With 2 iPhones, 2 Apple IDs and 2 iTune accounts, how do we get separate iCloud accounts? I have mine set up and working fine. When I go in to download another version of iCloud, it acts like I need a repair and will not allow me to download a second version. Can this be done? Will all our photos now go into one Photo Stream folder?

We have two windows accounts and it worked fine that way, when you log into the other account and go to the iCloud control panel, log in with the second apple ID there. Then you have two separate photo stream folders.

Lightroom won't let me register my serial number.

If you downloaded the product via the Creative Cloud, you won't be able to activate the product with a serial number.

I reinstalled photoshop elements 6 to my computer and now it won't let me register it. How do I fix this?

I had to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop elements 6 to my Windows 7 computer because the brushes were glitching on me, and now it won't accept my serial number to register it to my computer. I received it from a bundle package when I installed my tablet back in 2008ish. The warning is "A problem was encountered while trying to send information over the Internet". I have retyped it several times to make sure I put the right number without any luck either.

Not for free, no. Well I guess there is. Don't sync your phone. We don't, but then we only use it for talking and taking photos which you can transfer using even a pretty old computer.
