CS 5.5 install disk is not loading?

CS 5.5 install disk is not loading, It is installing until the second disk, then it will not recognize that the disk is in the drive. The disk is completely spotless. Why won't it continue with the install?
I have to use cs 5.5 because that is what I have a serial number to. Thanks

copy both discs contents to a directory on your desktop and click setup.

  • Just purchased CS4 but disk will not load at all, cannot install

I have been looking around on the forums for a day or so but have not seen anyone else that has this problem. I insert the CS4 disk into my DVD rom and it is not doing anything at all. It wil not load, if I go to My Computer and click DVD rom it causes my comp to freeze.
Notmally I would assume this is a problem with my disk drive but when I put any other disk in there it works fine. Now experimenting I tried placing my frien'd photoshop elements disk in and it does the exact same thing.
I have tried all the other tricks like turning off the firewall, virus software, removed Adobe reader and Flash. But nothing has changed. What else should I try?

The first thing to do is to check if the Photoshop disk is in fact ok or not.  Are you able to read the Photoshop disk on another computer?
If the disk is ok, there is something specific to your drive/system which is causing the problem.
You can find loads of discussions about DVD drives freezing the system in various forums.  Some general troubleshooting steps: http://www.brighthub.com/computing/windows-platform/articles/53821.aspx

  • Applications will not launch and install disk will not mount

Just recently my applications have taken a turn to not wanting to launch. These include anything from Dashboard to the Microsoft Office Suite. It also includes anything that is downloaded form the internet, like the World of Warcraft download client. Long story short, the errors that I constantly get are
    System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.Framework/versions/A/Frameworks/Co reGraphics.Framework/versions/A/CoreGraphics
I figured that with it being a system library issue and the Repair Disk Permissions has been completely useless, that a complete restore would be in order. And I was wrong. For some reason my Genuine 13-inch MacBook Pro Mac OS X Install DVD will not mount. Meaning I out the DVD in said drive and it will attempt to mount but will eventually give up and eject itself. I can load any other cd/DVD into my drive and it will mount without a problem.
Everything is up to date software wise.

These are Toshiba's instructions (last updated July 06 so is the P10 covered?)
How to boot your Toshiba PC from CD-ROM, LAN, or diskette

    Operating System: BIOS
    Category: Boot/Reboot, CD
    Distribution: Public
    Applicable Models: Portege All
    Satellite All
    Satellite Pro All
    TE-Series TE2000
    Tecra All
Use of any software made available for download from this system constitutes your acceptance of the Export Control Terms and the terms in the Toshiba end-user license agreement both of which you can view before downloading any such software.
    Information:
Many Toshiba PCs can boot (start Windows, or another operating system) from devices other than the built-in hard disk (HDD) or built-in diskette drive (FDD). These devices include USB diskette drives, CD-ROM discs, a local area network (LAN), and PC Card (PCMCIA) hard disk drives.
Toshiba PCs that offer alternate boot devices allow you to specify which device to boot from (the 'boot priority') by three methods:
    From BIOS Setup (semi-permanent setting)
Boot priority specifies the order in which the computer searches for a bootable operating system. For example, if you set your system to boot from devices in this order: CD-ROM > HDD > LAN, the computer first checks for a bootable CD, then for a bootable HDD, then for a bootable LAN, and loads the operating system from the first one it finds.
Different models offer different options for setting boot priority. For information about how to access the BIOS/CMOS settings on your Toshiba PC, please see the Support Bulletin entitled "How to access the BIOS Settings on your Toshiba Portable PC" that is applicable to your model. By setting the boot priority in this manner, the boot selected priority setting will be retained for all future restarts, until it is changed again.
From the Boot Device Menu (temporary setting)
When the TOSHIBA splash screen is displayed when you first turn on your computer, a boot menu prompt may be displayed for a few seconds near the bottom of the screen, indicating that a key (F2 or F12, for example) can be pressed to display a menu of boot options. The time allowed for detecting the keypress is very brief, so you'll need to be both prepared and quick.
On some models this prompt reads Press F12 for boot menu. On others, it may say Press C to boot from CD-ROM. On still others, there may be a row of colored icons representing the various boot devices (HDD, FDD, CD, LAN, PCMCIA, etc.) Press F12 while these icons are displayed, and then use the arrow keys to move the cursor from one to another. As new models are released, the wording of these prompts may change.
On models that offer a text boot device menu, simply press the key corresponding to the desired boot device from the list of available devices.
The selection of a boot device from any of these boot device menus affects only the current startup operation; the next time the computer is started it will follow the boot priority setting established in BIOS Setup (see the BIOS Setup method, above).
From the Boot Device Hotkeys (temporary setting)
Immediately after pressing the power-on button, press the hotkey for the device from which you wish to boot:
    Hotkey Boots from device
    C IDE CD-ROM1
    F ISA FDD2
    U USB FDD3
    N internal LAN adapter4
The computer will boot from the selected device if it finds a bootable operating system, otherwise it will search for a bootable device, following the boot priority set in BIOS Setup.
"IDE CD-ROM" refers to the computer's internal CD-ROM drive (built-in, SelectBay, or built-in to a Toshiba docking device).
"ISA FDD" refers to an internal or SelectBay diskette drive, or an external diskette drive that connects to the PC through a special Toshiba-proprietary connector.
Not all models support booting from a USB-connected diskette drive.
Not all models support the hotkey for the internal LAN adapter, even though they may support booting from LAN.
The selection of a boot device from Boot Device Hotkeys affects only the current startup operation; the next time the computer is started it will follow the boot priority setting established in BIOS Setup (see the BIOS Setup method, above).
    Notes:
Booting from a CD in a CD-ROM drive requires that the CD be made bootable when it is created ('burned'). Simply copying files to a CD does not make it bootable.
If a "PXE..." error is displayed when you start the computer, it indicates that the computer is attempting to boot from a network (LAN), but is not able to find a remote boot server. If this happens repeatedly, and you are not deliberately trying to boot from a network server, change the boot priority in BIOS Setup to make 'LAN' the last entry in the list of boot devices.

  • Disk will not load on first pressing of power button

I have a 2-3 month old HP Pavilion p6 Series HP P6-2317c- PC which is running Windows 8 64 bit  with IE 10. When I push the power button the disk light starts but will not load until I press the power button to restart 2 or 3 times then it works fine. I've never had this problem with an HP product before. It's still under warranty  obviously can someone help!!! Please I don't want to ruin a new computer or power source.

Opening the case will not void your warranty. If, once you open the case, you cause damage to the PC, the warranty will not cover that damage. So, for example, if you yank too hard on something and break a connector while you're in there, that particular damage is not covered. But I doubt you'd do that if you follow the instructions carefully and take your time.
    http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/privacy/limited_warranty.html
See the section titled "Exclusions." Nothing in there about voiding your warranty if you open the case.
Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP.

  • Drive will eject vista install disk but not any other disks

My two-day old iMac G5 will not accept my install disk for vista. It has accepted all other media that I have tried so far. The disk was immediately recognized by my MacBook Pro, so it is not a problem with the dvd itself. Any suggestions?

Um, is the computer new or used? I ask because G5s were discontinued in early 2006. G5s won't run Windows unless you have VirtualPC.

  • Bootcamp drivers installed but do not load control panel in XP

I have a 13' Aluminum Macbook (5,1) w/ 2GB ram and 160GB HD. I recently install Windows XP in Bootcamp on a 32GB partition converted to NTFS during install. Once installed I installed the bootcamp drivers from my Leopard DVD that came with the laptop. After the restart the bootcamp drivers and control panel loaded fine. After that, I updated XP (SP3 was included on the CD) to get the current security updates and IE7, etc. I proceeded to install Google Chrome. After my next restart, excluding the two required during windows updates, the control panel and bluetooth control panel do not load. Everything else still works and my mouse still identifies with bluetooth. However I do not have any control over trackpad settings and everything else the bootcamp panel allows you to do. As well my wireless card will not connect to my Airport Express with WPA2.
The wierd thing for me is this is not my first XP install. I did it once before and had no issues whatsoever. I did everything in the same sequence with the same XP CD and key. The only difference is that before the partition was considerably smaller (10GB).
    Any ideas?

My Program (in Vista) is \Program Files\BootCamp\KbdMgr.exe product version 2.1
Press Start icon on left side of task bar, select Run typing msconfig
    brings up system configuration
    a) under Start Up tab, what you need, Boot Camp etc. should be checked
    b) under Services tab, Apple, BTH items should be checked and running. If checked and not running, right click My Computer->Manage->Services and Applications->Services. Here you can right click Apple,BTH services to set properties Auto & Start

  • Erased Hardrive and now OS install disk will not work?

Yesterday I tried to erase the hardrive on my macbook (Mac OS version 10.4.6) with tiger. I heard from previous users and an apple specialist that I could go into disk utility and delete the hardrive. I inserted the Macbook Mac OS X install disk 1, restarted with C and from here I went to disk utility. I clicked erase the hardrive and from here I exited disk utility and started the Mac OS X installation. It failed halfway through the installation and asked me to restart. Now when I restart my computer it just flashes the question mark inside the folder. I tried inserting the install disk 1 again and it took me to a gray screen with the apple logo and the downloading spinning icon. It stayed this way for several hours till it eventually moved to a blank white screen and then a blue screen with spinning downloading icon. This went on for probably 10 hours before I decided to just shut it down again. Where do I go from here? All I wanted to do was delete the contents of the hardrive and reinstall the operating system because I am giving the computer to a friend. I really don't want to have to take it in to repair it. It was working pretty well before I erased the hardrive. Any help would be appreciated here. Thanks.

The Canon app probably isn't designed to run in Mavericks, check with Canon to see if they have a more up-to-date version. If they do not then simply use Image Capture to scan.

  • INSTALLING PSE6 ON NEW IMAC (PURCHASED DISK) WOULD NOT LOAD

I have a new mac computer, OS 10, and loaded the trial version of photoshop elements 6 and then purchased the program. I tried to install using the disk, and got error message, called help desk, they got it loaded after 2 + hours. Now when I click to open the program, it takes 10 to 15 minutes if it even opens.....any ideas??

Thank you for your help! In reading another site, I got a recommendation to run a cs3clean program (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cs3clean.html). That worked, although I lost my In Design program, adobe flash, adope shockwave and adobe reader. There are several warnings that this would happen.
I reinstalled all programs (including the new retail pse6), and everything seems to work now. Will not be trying any more trials.

    Hi..
Installing the appropriate combo update may help this issue.
For Snow Leopard >  Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
For Lion >  OS X Lion Update 10.7.4 (Client Combo)
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed then try the App Store.
The combo update helped for the same topic here >   ERROR: The product distribution file could not be verified.
