Cs 5 bridge downloads

Bridge says " Get Photos from Camera" and it looks for a card. By the time I am ready for Bridge the photos have been saved in the field to a portable hard drive. How do I tell bridge to get the photos from the portabel hard drive?

You don't have to – you just navigate to the portable drive in Bridge.

For me a M$ update caused this to malfunction, but only on one computer.

Bridge download problem

I am having a problem when downloading into bridge from my camera . I shoot both raw and jepg however bridge downloads the jpeg pics into dated the correct dat then downloads the raw file into a folder dated the day after. Any help please

I may sound like a broken record but you need to use a card reader, not the camera for the most reliable results.
And again I just do not see any option where Bridge automatically generates and places photos in an album. In all the screens I see you set where it goes.
And again, you still do not say whether the Date Shot is incorrect, or it is just in the wrong folder.
Can't help if you don't answer the questions.

Issues with Bridge download, unable to uninstall.

I have downloaded CC and installed PS and Bridge apps BUT bridge will not open and will not uninstall, so I put put it in trash, tried to re-download CC app and bridge and still nothing, Help?

Katiem84568462 in the future please do not move Bridge or other Adobe Creative applications to the trash can. To reinstall Bridge CC please see CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed. You are welcome to update this discussion if you have any questions regarding the steps listed in the document.

Adobe Bridge download

What the heck is Adobe Bridge?? I'm doing my taxes and filing. I'm prompted to download this and I changed US to Canada. The page shows error, find another link. Same thing. I can only open with bridge to send to CRA. So did I send Canada Revenue a blank return?? How do I get rid of bridge and return to Adobe Reader?? I don't fancy fooling with the government!

Bridge Download Problems

Bridge is not downloading on my iMac 10.7.5. Had the trial and worked ok except for bridge crashing often. I uninstalled it and now cannot download after I subscribed. Thanks for helping.

ATCypres are you not able to download or install? Do you reach the 50% mark in the Creative Cloud Desktop application after clicking the download button? If so then please check your installation log files for errors. CS 5 Bridge Downloader crashes with network drive

For the first time with CS5 I have tried "getting photos" from my camera. If I specify the destination on my local drive there is no problem. If, I specify a mapped network drive the downloader stalls, and eventually I have to kill the program in task manager.
I didn't have this problem with CS4. Has anyone tried using this workflow with a network drive with success?
Any ideas what the problem might be?
There is plenty of free space on the network drive.

Adobe always answers that they can't guarantee anything working with networked drives because they can't know every network configuration out there.
Hence, always save to a local drive initially.

Pictures folder became empty right after Bridge download from camera

I did what I've been doing for the last couple of years connecting my Samsung Galaxy 4 to the computer and Bridge (CS5) opens automatically. The last time though, when I opened Pictures folder it was completely empty. All pictures (500+) still in my PC (Windows Pro 8.1), in a folder called File, with a -ms extension. I tried Restore and it didn't work. I hope somebody can help me restore the folder. Thanks.

Thank you. I tried deleting the plist as you suggested but no change unfortunately. I also tried repairing permissions, and there are some items it says cannot be repaired but no idea what they are?

Bridge CS4 downloader won't browse to folder with Windows 7 64 bit

I recently installed PS CS4 on a new PC with Windows 7. I used the Bridge downloader as usual to download my photos to a particular folder. Everything worked as expected as it did when I used Windows XP. When I tried this the second time, the Bridge downloader would only let me browse to the folder from the previous download. I could not see any of my subfolders or choose the destination folder I wanted. What is Windows 7 in Bridge CS4 doing to prevent me from browsing to the destination folder of my choice?

It is enough. I am fed up now.
iTunes does not update automatically on my Windows 7 (64) and never did on my previous Windows 7 (32).
Yes, update freezes again and again as it did on my old computer. So what the hek do you want me to update?

Rename with bridge photo downloader

If images are being downloaded by Bridge downloader, possibly from a camera CF card, the name assignment should include the ability to name a file with actual time of shooting such as YYYYMMDDHHMMSSms. The time components should be accurate to the millisecond (or what ever is the time granularity of the camera time function).
For example, if a photo session is shot with multiple cameras (a number of photographers are photographing a sporting event, a single photographer is shooting a dance production or a wedding using two or more cameras, etc), the ability to have a full accurate time of shooting allows all images taken from all cameras to be put into time sequence.
With the present set of rename options, Bridge download becomes "almost useless" when multiple cameras are used. Other downloaders must be chosen.

Thanks for the idea. I tried that but it didn't work. The exact same problem happened again with what appears to be the same crash log: Thread 18 Crashing (see below for that specific section)
Additionally now in the last week I am experiencing Bridge crashing 1-3x/day regardless of the Photo Downloader.
Adobe, please advise.

Bridge CS4 Won't Download Images

I just bought a new computer with Wndows 8.1. I've installed Adobe Creative Suite 4 and encountered a problem with Bridge CS4. When I select File > Get Photos From Camera the dialogue box comes up, but it gets stuck on "Loading Device List... Please Wait"
Bridge freezes at this point and the only way I can close the program is to use Task Manager.
I've searched both this forum and the rest of the net and I've seen a number of people with the same issue but no fix aside from reseting the operating system. Has anyone had the same issue and found a solution, or have some ideas?
I've already ruled out issues with the SD card and card reader - issue occurs with multiple cards and readers. I've gone through the Adobe" Bridge Help / Troubleshoot errors, freezes" and tried everything suggested there. Any thoughts?

Yes, as soon as the card is plugged in the Bridge Downloader comes up and does the same thing -
gets stuck on "Loading Device List... Please Wait".

Bridge CS6 download function freezes.

What is causing the Bridge download function in my CS 6 to freeze up? Bridge in my CS 5 continues to work properly. How to resolve?

No experience with network nor Windows but Bridge CS6 changed to 64 bit and also changed its database from MySQL to SQLite (and I don't know anything about this technical stuff myself I'm afraid).
Did you already used the advanced Find option in the edit menu (cmd + F) and inhere selected the parent folder on your source and included both options to include all subfolders and non-indexed files?
This first time may take long but after finished indexing it should work faster.

Nothing happens when I try to download bridge.

I've migrated my computer from an older MacBook Pro to a new MacBook Pro. All software works except Creative Cloud.
I've been on the phone with technical support. All my Adobe products had to be deleted off the new machine and I'm in the process of reinstalling everything through Creative Cloud.
Bridge is not an option anymore on my Creative Cloud downloader.
I found a Bridge download on the Adobe site but nothing happens then I click the download button.

Yup, that is guaranteed to give you grief. When you do that you are demanding trouble.
Always install from scratch, from the original media, whether DVD/Cd or download.

Downloader doesn't retain previous settings

Can Bridge Downloader be set to always open with the advanced dialog box and can it be set to retain the previous settings? Also, is there a Preferences for the Downloader? I can see it listed in the menu, but it's ghosted.
It would be a real time-saver if I didn't have to re-enter all the info each time I open the Downloader -- and then start all over again because I missed something and it downloads to the wrong drive/folder or creates dated folders when I don't want them or doesn't enter copyright info in metadata... you get the idea.

That's an understandable question and I have no certain answer for that, I'm only a user, not a technician
But I like to think that in normal ways an uninstall keeps certain files like settings and cache as it is so you won't have to go through that work again when installing upgrades. Further guessing is that the clean tool does get rid of the hidden and/or invisible preference files but not the cache, hence my suggestion to check anyway.

They are not, you just haven't selected the 'path bar' option under the menu window, put a check mark in front of it in the menu Window and they are there with other useful tool icons. Aside from that Bridge stills keeps deselecting the path bar every now and then. But my hopes for CS6 on resolving that item are high.

You are right, they are tiny but you can design your own lay out. I have both under each other in one column with a very short favorites panel and a very long folder panel. Grab a folder tab and drag it. You will see there will appear blue lines surrounding the panel. You have three columns to work with, one bleu line (either vertical or horizontal) appears at the position were you can drop the selected panel in it's new lay out. A surrounding blue line means nesting in a panel with multiple tabs. In the beginning this is a bit tricky but you will get used to that. When your happy with the customized lay out save it as a new workspace. Plenty of options!
In PS 12.x, the implementation of the Adjustment Layers panel is also beyond belief!
This sounds as you don't like it while others (me included) are very very happy with it! You just have to get used to different ways of working, once tried a while and getting used to it you don't want to go back, trust me (besides, the shortcuts for adjustment layers still work to my knowledge and if not you can assign them yourself in a custom menu setting).
The problem with not upgrading to any new cycle is that the differences with prior version can get huge. It should so because software needs development and users need to get used to it. I can't tell you how often I have changed my workflow due to new methods (and knowledge) and the majority of this changes have brought me great benefit
