CS 5 compatibility with Mountain Lion OS

I'm thinking about installing Mountain Lion OS -10.8- and I would like to know if the CS5 -Photoshop, After effects, Premiere, Media Encoder, etc- is compatible with it or not. If it is not, what's the solution? Installing any complement to CS5? CS6?
Thank you.
    Javier Lopez

Yes, we can confirm that Audition CS6 is compliant with Mountain Lion (Mac OS 10.8) and their are currently no known issues between the product and the new OS.
While Audition CS5.5 is not the latest version of Audition, I can also confirm that it appears to work just fine as well.
With the minimal backend architectural changes made to the new Mac OS (between Lion and Mountain Lion), we see no reason for users to be concerned.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,

  • What Superdrive (external USB) is compatable with Mountain Lion 10.8.3?

What Superdrive (external USB) is compatable with Mountain Lion 10.8.3?
My New install of 10.8.3, will now.... not reconize anything I put in my drive... it spits it back out!
Superdrive does NOT reconize any activity.
It will show my information on/of my drive...but, that is about it...
Is there a patch/fix for this issue with 10.8.3?
If not...why is Apple (seemingly) ignoring this issue? There are so many with the same complaint.
They want $19 to answer this question...why? I just bought the upgrade to 10.8.3 a couple of days ago.
Anyone have any suggestion, beside switching BACK to Microsoft...?

Sorry about the serial number...wasn't thinking.  Mentally noted.
I would think it to not be too much, to ask for it to be able to read/write to the listed capablities list with the product (superdrive). The different media type...
I insert blank -R DVD, -R CD, ...anything I put in,it spits it out.  NOTE:  The ONLY thing I've been able to get it to read, is some old CD's that I had some mp3 files on...it would read that OK... but if I try a DVD read or write and write a CD...NOTHING!
This worked fine before upgrading to 10.8.3   was at 10.7.5....
Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Compatibility with Mountain Lion?

When I upgraded to Lion my printer (Konica Minolta 2430DL) and scanner (Canon 8400F) would not work. Thanks to Konica Minolta and to several contributors to this Apple Community they do now work. My question is: will they continue to work if I go to Mountain Lion? I don't want to go through all

    Henry ..
Check the Konica Minolta and Canon websites for Mountain Lion software support before upgrading.

  • Express 802.11n model A1264 not compatible with Mountain Lion?

I have an airport Express 802.11n model A1264.  I have been using  it with Mountain Lion for a couple of months.  Some problems but it worked.  Last nite it stopped. - flashing orange light.  I am using Airport Utility version 6.1.  The helpful? lady at apple support said that model of Airport Express (Gen 1 ) was not compatable with Mountain Lion and I need to get a Generation 2 Airport Express.  Is there any other solution?

Hardware failure is a possibility but your Express is most certainly compatible with your version of Mac OS X.
    weaversue wrote:
...  I had pushed in the reset button on the AU Express -
To properly reset it to factory defaults requires that you depress its reset button continuously for about five seconds - long enough for the LED to flash rapidly, then release it.
After this the Express will create an open wireless network called "Apple Network nnnnnn" where nnnnnn = a set of characters unique to your Express.
Connect to that network by selecting it in the menu.
Launch AirPort Utility. It should find the Express.
If you are still having trouble unplug the Express and plug in to an electrical outlet near your iMac. Not only does this make it easier to perform another "hard reset" should you need to, it minimizes the potential for wireless interference to prevent communication. There is no need to have it connected to your modem as you configure it.
Only after doing all this should you begin to suspect the Express has simply failed. In that case bring it back to Apple for a final determination.
Don't let them tell you it is not compatible with Mountain Lion because I use the exact same one all the time. Even its preceding model is compatible.

  • My newly bought Lindy USB Guitar lead is incompatible with Mountain Lion! Any suggestions?

    Hi,
    Advice needed.
I recently bought the Lindy USB Audio Guitar Cable. I have plugged it into the USB port of my MacBook Pro (running Mountain Lion) and the blue light has come on the USB end. When I go into System Preferences -------> Sounds --------> Input, nothing shows up to say that the cable has been recognised. I know that it should say something like 'C-Media USB Audio Device', but nothing! The USB slots work fine for all other peripherals i have, just not this.
I have spoken to Lindy and they suggested that it may be incompatable with Mountain Lion!! (Advertised as compatable with all Macs!)
Is there anything anyone can suggest to make this work? A 3rd party workaround? If not, does anyone know of a USB to Guitar lead that IS compatable with Mountain Lion?
    Very frustrating.
    Thanks

For your product, you'll probably just need to wait for the manufacturer to release a ML compatible driver.
As for other options, the one I've been using for about a year is IK Multimedia's iRig.
    http://amzn.com/B003T1WCBW
It's actually designed for iPhone/iPad, but it also works perfectly with newer Macs that have a unified input/output headphone jack.

  • Is Adobe Photoshop CS5 compatible with Mountain Lion?

I'm interested in getting a new laptop but like using Photoshop CS5.  Are there any compatibility issues using CS5 with Mountain Lion?

Generally, users are having no problems with it in ML. Technically, Adobe support CS5.5, 6 and CC in ML, but a lot of folks are running even CS3 in ML.

  • Creative Suite CS6 Apps are crashing at launch with Mountain Lion

It seems there is a compatibility issue running Mountain Lion OS with Adobe Creative Suite Apps. Most crash on launch. Lightroom seems to work and Photoshop and Bridge also. Dreamweaver CS6 crashes and I use this program all the time. I am thinking I should go back to Lion. Anybody else have this problem?

Adobe had me do several things (complete re-install, mod the preferences, etc.) to my brand new 27" Imac, with Mountain Lion.
CS4 worked perfectly until i installed CS6. Sad to say i have been having some issue on the new user account as well.
As quoted by Team Adobe India,
"We wanted to inform you that, if the application is working on one user account and causing issue on another, then there is very little that can be done to resolve it. All the steps have already been performed from our side.
Please contact Apple, provide them with all the information and check with them if they can help you with troubleshooting the issue which is only on a specific user account."
CS4 worked fine on Mountain Lion.
    CS6 is very unstable.
+1 point for Apple, and to the dungeons for Adobe

  • NDesign, Photoshop incompatibility with Mountain Lion

I recently upgraded to my 10.5 to Mountain Lion and found that it won't support my Photo Studio (for my scanner), nDesign and Photoshop programs. Do I have to buy new programs or is there some app that will fix this?

Yes. You are most likely using older PPC programs that worked with Leopard but will not work with Mountain Lion. You will need to upgrade your software. Also, see:
See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.

  • My Rapoo 2300 wireless presenter didn't work with Mountain Lion

    Hi.
Two months ago I bought a Rapoo 2300 Wireless Presenter that work perfectly with a MacBook 13' with Snow Leopard. Unfortunetly, when I tried use the same product in my new MacBook Pro with Mountain Lion, I can't. I want to know if there is any solution to this problem? Thank you for your time.

Time to give up on the Rapoo and find a current presenter device that meets your needs and/or requirements. It would be beneficial if you could try it with your MacBook Pro, either in store, or with a return policy if it does not work.
    Things to consider:
Application compatibility (e.g. Powerpoint, Keynote, etc.)
Current Apple hardware and Operating System compatibility
Has to do better than claiming OS X 10.5 or later
No support software (device driver) installation
    Radio distance
    Wireless, USB dongle
    Bluetooth v2.1 +
    Laser

cant send mails with mountain lion, but i can recive....

Hi, i am having the same problem. this is what i have noticed.
    I have 2 x imac's and 2 x macbook air's
i upgraded the 2 macbook air's and 1 of the imac's to Mountain Lion, all these have problems acessing sites that require you to login .
the one remaining imac is still running lion and works perfect.
i am using a dlink router with DD-WRT firmware, i tested teathering from my iphone and i can log into websites fine using the newly upgraded mac's.
It's not a wireless issue as my imac is using an ethernet connection.
is there a compatibility issue with some routers.

yes its a terrible decision apple have made to drop all these early macpros...
they waffle about lack of hardware compatibility
but in actual fact its just an arbitary decission to save some cash, and streamline developement at the users great expense..

  • Does filemaker 9 work with mountain lion

does filemaker 9 work with mountain lion?

No, I didn't find your post helpful.
I'm well aware that FileMaker does not indicate compatibility between FileMaker Pro 9 and Mountain Lion. However, in my experience, "compatibility" is a somewhat ambiguous term -- lack of compatibility doesn't mean that FM Pro 9 won't run under ML. There may indeed be some feature in FM Pro 9 that won't work properly -- but that doesn't mean that the app as a whole is, for example, unusable.
As another example, I believe that Roxio lists that Toast Titanium 9 won't run under Mountain Lion, either, but it seems to run just fine for me ;-)
Hence my question: has anyone tried?
