CS 5 - ERROR5

CS5 Premium installed without a problem but when I run Flash, Dreamweaver, etc the "Error 5" message popup. At times when I launch Photoshop, Dreamweaver the  30-day trial version prompts for a serial, but will not accept the serial number for the suite (it wants a Photoshop-specific serial, apparently). It tells me to uninstall and reinstall, but I've already done that now, and I still get the same result. I read this post in the MAC forum but I have Windows XP with the exact problem so decided to post here. Any help would be appreciated
P.S. This was a fresh install from the DVD.

Where did you buy it? Are you sure you didn't buy an upgrade?

  • How to fix itunes error 7 (Windows error5)?

downloaded and used itunes, on laptop(Acer), but when I tried to reopen I get error message, Not installed properly. Reinstall itunes. Error 7(Windows error5). Why does it work fine, but then not work, and display this error message days later?

    Hi surferman!
It sounds like you will need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes to fully resolve this issue. iTunes requires that the components of iTunes be uninstalled in a specific order from the control panel, and that specific order can be found in this article about uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1923
It is important to note that:
iTunes Store purchases or songs imported from CDs are saved in your My Music folder by default and are not deleted by removing iTunes. While it is highly unlikely that you will lose any contents of your iTunes Library when following these steps, it is always a good idea to ensure that your iTunes library is backed up. If you're unsure how to backup, see iTunes: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive.
These steps may take a significant amount of time to complete, depending on your system.
If you run into any issues while attempting to reinstall iTunes, you may want to reference this article as well:

  • Indesign CS4 error5. Solution please!

I've purchased CS4 years ago. It won't work on my MacBook (latest version). Error5 it says when i try to open it.
I expect a solution from Adobe since i've payed A LOT of money for the entire master collection.
All the other programs are working.

Did you install it from the original installer or did you migrate? Migration does not work with Adobe programs. In such a case you have to use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to whipe out anything Adobe and install from the scratch.
CS4 is not compatible to OS X 10.10. It might run occasionally but you can be sure that it will not run always. Minimum is CS6, but CS6 does not support Retina displays. I would recommend to upgrade to the Creative Cloud as the CS6 is now old and will cause soon the same problem what you experience between CS4 and Yosemite.

  • I am in mavericks disk utility recovery mode as my mac book will not boot up & stays only on the grey apple screen. When I verify the disk I get open error5 :input /output error on Syst stuck on 1 minute pouring out over 50 error messages & still counting

I am in Mavericks disk utility recovery mode as my mac book pro will not boot up & stays on the Apple grey screen . When I verify disk permissions I get
Open error 5:"input/ output error" on syst with over 50 of this messages & still counting . Disk Utility says 1 minute
But this has been going on for over 10 mins .
I can not verify disk or repair disk .
I have tried to reinstall mavericks operating system but it says my hard drive is locked which is very strange .
Does anyone know what is going on here ?
My system looks like it has been totally corrupted . Thanks Andrew

Could be. The "lock" isn't actually looking for a password.
WARNING: This will completely erase the ENTIRE hard drive.
What you would need to do is boot to recovery > disk utility > select the MAIN drive on the left side > partition > change partition layout from CURRENT to 1 PARTITION > ensure on the right side it says Format : Mac OSX Extended (Journaled) then push APPLY.
Then if it will allow us, close the windows until you see the 4 options popup again and select "Reinstall Mac OS X" select the Mac HD and you should be good to go!

  • Itunes error 7 windows error5 what dose this mean

how can i stop getting itunes error 7 windows error 5 when i try to open itunes

Follow the instructions on this link, basically un-install everything, remove programs that says they are made by apple inc. (using add remove program)
    http://www.reimageplus.com/fix-windows-127-error/   (Many thanks to reimageplus.com)
You will also need to check and verify that the following folders have been removed:
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
    C:\Program Files\iTunes
    C:\Program Files\iPod
    C:\Program Files\QuickTime
    C:\Windows\System32\QuickTime
    C:\Windows\System32\QuickTimeVR
dont forget to remove icloud also
you dont need to delete your itune music library though
If any of these folders still exist, delete them along with their contents. (if you cant delete them, right click and go to properties and then security and change the control of the fold to you)
do this for files under  program files and program file (x86) on your computer
once you have deleted everything, restart your computer. Then I repaired my registry using a registry repair program.
Important:-  instead of installing itunes I installed quick time, which installs apple application support (this is the corrupt file which is causing all the issues)
i then installed itunes and it all worked fine,
should take no longer than half hour to fix
    hope this helps

  • Download After Effects 2014 failed but can't uninstall - error5

The attempted install of After Effects 2014 has failed which I'm informed of when I try to launch.
The message also tells me to uninstall and reinstall.
When I attempt this, however, the uninstaller only shows Adobe Type Support CS5 and this also fails if I try to use it.
I've restarted and run the cleaner tool which has now removed the previous version of AE.
What the hell is going on and what do I do?
    OSX Mavericks.

In this case, the Error 5 is an AMT error at launch, not the corrupted file error you're thinking of. Most likely there is some bad or missing data in the AMT database files (PCD/Caps), and using the newer CS5 Clean script to remove just the CS5 product data, then reinstlalling, would solve the issue
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3008803#3008803 may also help.

    Hi,
The problem is that you are using the file SAPCAR.EXE for uncompromising the kernel that you have downloaded from market place.
at the time of uncompression a new SAPCAR.EXE file is generated and it want to replace the existing file but that is being used for the uncomression. therefore you get that error.
please change the existing file say SAPCAR1.exe and then try again. it will work fine.

  • Error 5 occurred at Open/Create/Replace File in Write spreadsheet String.vi

    Hi everyone,
can anyone help me with this problem?
"error 5 occurred at Open/Create/Replace File in Write spreadsheet String.vi "
I've been using this part of the program for over a year an suddenly this error occures. But not always, mainly at the very beginning of my tests when the file should not be open.
Info: I'm using a realtime PXI-System. Maybe the amount of data can cause the problem? (about 2MB)

    Hi Meike,
is the file opened by a different program? Do you try to access it by FTP in parallel to your VI?
You could use basic file functions instead of WriteSpreadsheetFile. That way you could open the file before starting the loop, keep it open all the time and close it once you're finished - with the added benefit of easier error handling…

Read the API docs and the JDBC Tutorials for the proper way to use a PreparedStatement. It may "work" to add the quotes, but it is definately not the right way to do it. What happens if the city entered contains an apostrophe? Your statement will be broken again. Like I said, use a PreparedStatement and use it right.

j2sdkee1.3.1 with j2sdk1.4.0 works good for me, but
on Windows NT 4.0SP6. Don't know on W2K.hi Martin,
    Thanks a lot.
Actually there were problems during deployment of ejb
applications too. java.exe was generating errors, and were
    raising NamingExceptions during run.
The gnumake utility I was running, for the deployment, reported
" Error5 " during this.. which I think is something similar to
    I/O Error..
Anyway I tried using j2sdk1.4.0_01 , the latest release .,
and till now these errors have not reoccured.
Now I assume this was due to some problem with the j2sdk1.4.0
since the latest jdk seems to have solved it..
    Thanks again.

  • How come the SQL Server Business Intelligence Studio will not recognize my AdventureWorksDW after installation?

I am trying to do the tutorial for SQL Server Business Intelligence Studio, but I can't get the AdventureWorksDW to be recognized by it, when I try to connect to it.
I have tried to shut down, restart, downloaded a couple of different versions of AdventureWorksDW (I believe 2008 is the one I need), and tried to attach this AdventureWorksDW using SQL Server Management Studio 2008R2, but I cannot even do that! The instructions
for attaching a DB tell me to open Management Studio, then open a connection instance.  But then I cannot find the database button to right click on, or the attach item in the menu that is supposed to be there with it.
I had installed AdventureWorks2008R2 previously and the SQL Server BIDS sees that, but of course I cannot do the tutorial without some serious mods if I do that. I have rebooted computer, closed and reopened the BIDS app, deleted and re-created the
OLE-DB connection in BIDS, but nothing works. What am I doing wrong? I've worked in mostly the Oracle world for most of my career so I'm not new to either DW or relational DB, but this one is driving me to pull my hair. Any help greatly appreciated!
    Badger

    Thank you!  Is this correct?
     CREATE DATABASE AdventureWorksDW2008R2_data
    ON
    (FILENAME
    =
    'C:\SSIS Downloads\AdventureWorksDW2008R2_Data')
    FOR
    ATTACH_REBUILD_LOG
I tried this and it gives me a cannot find file specified error, but my file IS located at
    C:\SSIS Downloads
    error is:
    Msg 5120, Level 16, State 101, Line 1
Unable to open the physical file "C:\SSIS Downloads\AdventureWorksDW2008R2_Data". Operating system error 2: "2(The system cannot find the file specified.)".
I will continue to play with it, thanks very much!
    Try as below,
    sp_attach_single_file_db 'AdventureWorksDW2008R2'
        ,'C:\SSIS Downloads\AdventureWorksDW2008R2_Data.mdf'

  • Fatal Error when installing LabView 8.5

I encounter a fatal error when I attempt to install LabView 8.5. The error that occurs has the following in its details:
    ".\UberInstaller.cpp(1871): IInstallerError 10014
Fatal Error. A failure has occurred in NISystemInfo.
    CoLoadLibrary failed on C:\lv8.5\bin\NISysInf.dll"
I am installing from a system that previously had LabView 8.2 installed, however everything was uninstalled before I began installing the new version.
No hardware is connected in my computer.
I copied the files from the DVD to my harddrive and am still failing to install it from there.
The disc should be fine as my supervisor had used the same disc to install on his computer. ( our licence allows this )
    Any help would be appreciated.
Attatched is a screenshot of the error.

    IInstallerError 10014
I searched for and found the same error in this forum that I am experiencing. I am trying to install the NI Switch Executive and the install fails every time. This is a fresh install and I am not running any antivirus s/w. It is a DVD copy of the Switch Executive s/w. Has there been any conclusive explanation as to what is happening with this? I have included a .jpg of the error. Thanks in advance for any help.

    bye help me..

I am having the exact same problem. It seems AD only
allows changing the password once. Have you found a
solution? I would imagine is a AD rule that can be
changed, but how?Not exactly. Propably AD domain in its security settings
has 'enforce password history' set so rises error when
you are trying set the same password again.
